Casey sighed quietly as the teacher, Mr. Mueller, droned on about some history lesson or something. It was supposed to be interesting, sure, covering the wars of the nation since its inception not long ago, but the kangaroo and his family had moved around so much that he's never felt a connection with a country, ever. Just not his style. He was only there for the sports, which meant he had to pay attention to his school studies. Well, he tried. His restlessness was palpable, his fingers tingled with needing to dribble a basketball. He sighed and ran his fingers through his hair and blinked hard, refocusing his attention on his teacher. The purple thylacine in front of him, his best friend Robbie, shuffled in his chair. His eyes weren't on the teacher or the board, but on the delicious vanilla-cream-colored poodle gal seating at the front of the row to the right. The way she was sitting forward, elbows on her desk, head in her hands, looking up at the teacher, her low-back blouse teasing the top of her bra strap, her back arched, her tail draped over the top of her chair, lifting her skirt, showing off her skintight pants underneath, accentuating her buns and thighs... Lisa. That was her name. Robbie sat next to her in Spanish class, and enjoyed the view in this class. She'd frequently tease him, but she usually flirted with any guy she could to get some leg up in her classes, as she wasn't too bright. Given the attention she'd get, she didn't need to be. And Robbie was yet another willing boy doting on her. In the same row as Lisa, but one seat back from Casey, was Helena. The dairy cow certainly looked like she was paying attention in class, but she couldn't help but turn to look at Casey and Robbie as they sighed, then rolled her eyes when she noticed where Robbie was looking. At a girl, as usual. She turned back to the board, hiding a smirk. Casey noticed the cow's sideways glance, and then turned to Robbie, also noting his friend's gaze and smirking the same. He knew the thylacine was one eager, girl-hungry guy. The Valentine's Day dance was coming up soon, and Casey had a silent bet going on that Robbie would try to nab a girl to take to the dance. For him to attempt Lisa, however... Casey chuckled quietly as he knew he'd win an imaginary $20 from himself. Mr. Mueller asked a question, and some students raised their hands to answer. Casey shrugged, looking back down to his textbook on his desk and sighing as he realized he didn't know anything that was going on. Thankfully, the period bell was in another seven minutes... He could wait that long. "I swear, her booty gets bigger every week, man." Robbie's voice kicked Casey out of his stupor. School was done for the day, and the trio of kangaroo, thylacine, and dairy cow were walking away from the campus towards one of the bus stops. "I-if she don't stop soon, she gonna be dummy thicc before the end of the year!" "Well, Rob, you got the dummy part right!" Helena laughed, grinning from ear to ear. "She bout as bright as a dead candle." "She hot, though!" Helena shook her head. "For fuggs sake, Robbie." "What?! What, I'm not allowed to compliment a girl's looks? What, izzat too shallow?" "Robbie, you only really seem to care about their looks, though. She can be as dumb as a plank of wood, but if that ass is thicc as fugg, it's all good for you." "What? I know what I like." Robbie put his hands behind his head like his statement was a declaration of superiority, shrugging his shoulders in the meanwhile. Casey rolled his eyes, dribbling his basketball a couple of times as they approached the bus stop, expertly catching each dribble. "What, Helena? Are you jealous, or something?" Helena looked flustered as she stammered out her answer, "W-what? Nah, not at all! B-besides, why would I be jealous of any bitch that has already said 'no' to this sorry sap?" Robbie blushed lightly, but glared at his best friends one by one. "Hey, I resent that! And 'sides, me and Helena aren't compatible. It just wouldn't work out." "What's that supposed to mean?" Casey stopped dribbling and held his ball against his waist. "Did you two..?" "No!" "Hell naw." Robbie and Helena looked at each other for a few seconds, after they simultaneously responded. Helena shrugged. "We just have different interests, is all. It wouldn't work out." "And I respect her waaay too much to think of her like that." Casey grinned at Robbie, with a sideways glance at Helena. "What, you think Helena doesn't have needs?" The trio burst out in laughter. "WHAT?! C-casey, I don't think of her that way!" "Oh my fugg, I can't..." "It was just a joke, man! Don't take it serious..." "I swear, you make me out to be some sort of sex-crazed fugger..." "Well, when's the last time you got any?" "... Guh... Case, h-here? Now?" "He doesn't need to say..." "And you, Helena?" "Casey!" "What?! It's not like I'm gonna tell anyone!" The three fell silent for a solid minute. "... Never." "Me neither." "Nor me." As the bus pulled up, the friends looked at each other with light blushes. "Well, take care, Helena. See ya tomorrow." "Later, guys." "See ya!" Both Casey and Robbie pulled out their bus tickets and stepped onto the bus, and Helena waved them off. As the bus pulled away, the bovine shrugged to herself. "Well... technically, no..." she muttered to herself, correcting herself from earlier. As the next bus pulled up, she walked away down a block to the after school daycare where she worked in the evenings. Casey and Robbie ribbed each other and chatted on the bus ride home, getting off at one of the many stops along the way, at the edge of an abandoned construction site. "Honestly, man... What was this building supposed to be?" "Huh?" Casey looked up at the abandoned scaffolding and piles of dirt. "Fugging I dunno, man... Some apartment building?" "Let's go check it out." "Huh?" "Come on!" Robbie was already looking for a break in the chain-link fence. "Let's just go check it out." At first Casey was going to protest and urge his friend to turn back and just go around the lot like they always do, but he couldn't help but admit to himself that he was curious about what was lurking there. The sun was still high enough in the sky to light everything up. So long as they were gone and home by sundown, they shouldn't get into trouble. By the time he lifted his head to voice his response, Robbie had already found a break in the fence and passed through. "Come on, man. Who knows what we could find in there?" The kangaroo chuckled, and squatted down before spring up and over the fence, joining his friend on the other side. "Ayy, let's go find out!"
