Once he had dragged both pups' ears together the flap on the tent was played with; followed by a disturbingly distorted childish laugh. Anthony then pushed his mouth to their ears and barely uttered the words. 'for the love of god; do not open your mouths no matter what. It’s emitting some manner of gas.' Then a head pushed into the tent. Then it opened its mouth and out poured a collection of tentacles; followed by a stalk that bore an eye. The disturbing head glanced around; as did the eye growing from its mouth. Anthony's grip on the girl's snouts only tightened; the terrified pups were shaking against him, eyes wide in fear.
\tAnother disjointed limb popped in as the hand clutched at the blanket and gave it a tug. The childish voice then gave a distorted chuckle and slammed the blanket against the ground a few times. The monster kept looking around, however then a laugh cried out as the pillow was then tossed against the tent wall; the sudden scare made Jenny yip in fright. The seconds after both the sickly looking head and the eye stalk growing from its mouth; had locked with the pups eyes. In seconds she went stiff and nearly frigged. Tears welled up in Annie's eyes as she felt all the warmth bleed out of her sister. The head reached further into the tent, its seemingly elastic neck still coming from outside the tent. But once they started moving toward the pup; it's gaze was drawn drastically as Anthony sharply inhaled. Anthony then gave Annie a very sharp gaze before another hand slashed through the test wall then tore Anthony away from them.
\t“Oooh FUCK!” Anthony cried out bouncing once then twice. The creature was now screaming in a broken and very shrill tone. The large hulking creature had two heads and many disjointed limbs; they all stretched away from the main body like it was an endless pile of liquid rubber. He had managed to keep a hold of his blade as the lumbering body and its swift disconnected heads raced toward him. As Annie found herself clasping her sister's snout this time. This was all they could do; hide.
\tAnthony pushed himself up with his blade only to have a large fist crash down atop him. “GAH!” sounded feeling the weight and the impact from the blow crash down on him. For a moment he nearly gave out; until he managed to take another breath to call out. “Fortress of Steel!” His fur then took on a metallic sheen, however the second strike made a far more painful cry shout from his mouth. Both hands trying to flatten themselves against him; but the both grunting as he managed to hold the fist back.
\tHe looked up then seeing Annie doing something dumb; she had his spare sword and yell, “LET HIM GO!” As she then rushed to try and stab its body, only to feel the blade nearly bounce off its flesh. However then one head crashed into her and tossed her to the ground. Even after the crash however the pup started gagging and gasping; feeling herself grow cold.
\t“ANNIE!” Anthony roared, still trying to push the large disjointed fist trying to crush him. The seconds after Annie cried out in pain when that head tried to take a bite out of her. “GET OFF HER!” Then was Jenny's turn the pup had begun to cry, with her fist heave the other head slammed into her. “BASTARD!” He however was still struggling to keep his form that was not of a pancake, even as the jade eye formed upon his head.
\t“GET OFF GET OFF!” Annie cried out. All her limbs doing their damnedest to get the now bloody maw away from her side, managing to make her body move regardless of how cold she felt. Then Jenny cried out in pain, the pup also failing to stop the head from biting her. “Jenny! GAH!!”
\t“GET OFF THEM!” Anthony roared still in the process of pushing the large fast away from himself. However in the slip after that “GAH!” As its fist then crashed down on him as the creature started focusing more of its mass on him.
\t“UNCLE A!” Annie cried out having managed to push the mouth away for a few seconds. Seconds after she found herself suddenly able to kick the head away its focus elsewhere; Ann then raced to free her sister. However once the girls were freed; Their uncle made a much louder and far worse sounding noise. This time joined with a spout of blood literally squeezed out of him. “No.” Annie sputtered in shock at the sight before her eyes, then cradling her sister's head. Then having her eyes dart toward Anthony. “No no Jen wake up; you gotta wake up.” Annie then cried out. “Uncle A please say something … I beg you.” One of the heads then slammed into her, the other going after her growing colder by the second sister. “Stay AWAY!” Annie shouted, booting her attacker in the face. Then kicking the one attacking her sister. The first head started trying to take a bite out of her. That's when between her struggles with the head trying to eat her alive she caught the rising sound of growling and the sudden appearance of green and red light.
\t“Get off them.” Anthony growled. Both the heads had turned away from the pups. It was now struggling to contain him. “Now!” His left eye had erupted in the jade of the Twilight Eye, but now sharply clashed with the crimson that had started seeping from his right. His visage had sharpened drastically and now he seemed rather out of control. The large disjointed hands were now being pushed back, as Anthony’s temper had finally been lit. Add to that the scent of the pup's collective blood now filling the air, their cries as the monster feasted, it would be hard to see why he wouldn't go berserk. He then managed to push the large hands far enough away from him that one of the heads was able to get in and try to take a bite out of him; but he beat the monster to it. His fangs snapped around the monster's neck and after a moment of tug of war screams from the head in question cried out then a spray of foul smelling blood; as Anthony ripped the head from it's extended flesh. Then snarled in a sound far more pure rage then meaning. Loudly he then tossed the head away. The creature dropped him after that as seemingly half its body started dying right there; it simply lost its pincer. Then his hand clasped around the hilt of his sword, with a vengeful snarl Anthony raced toward the creature. First making contact with then struggling to slice through the monster's distorted neck; its remaining head then severed.
But after that its lumbering body stumbled back a step or two before a mass of tentacles exploded from the severed necks. Soon followed by sickening eye stalks erupted from them as a snarl was returned to him. The eyes panned toward him, only to be glared at by Antony now snarling and growling more like a feral beast then something with a mind of its own. The jade in his left eye burning brightly then flashed, the nightmare creature then letting out an angry shriek like sound. It went to make a move, Anthony did so first. In a flash of movement, a cloud of dust, the sing of steel, met the slicing of flesh. The creature made another loud shriek, this time one more of pain. However Anthony was no longer thinking, he was like a beast himself. He just started slashing and hacking as the creature did its best to wail on him. It became a contest of who would break first.
\tIt gave out before Anthony did as soon its otherworldly shrieks finished. Anthony was badly bloodied by then; but once the monster's body started to break down and turn to dust; the power that had been clinging to him erupted into the sky. Anthony unleashed a ragged howl following that light before he finally came to; his mind returned to its senses. He almost collapsed in on himself, but managed to struggle to stay on his feet. He had to drop the sword though; it was just too heavy in his beaten and battered state. He forced himself over to the pups dragging his right leg; now seemingly broken. Nothing short of force of will keeping him on his feet. He checked Annie who was bleeding badly but was awake; tears in her eyes. “I'll be ok; check Jen she … she was so cold.” Anthony managed a nod then dragged himself to the younger pup. Her eyes were still petrified open; her flesh as cold as ice; her side ripped open and her ribs chewed on. He dropped after that, he couldn't bring himself to speak. He pressed his right hand to the blood flowing down the side of his head; and bloodied his palm.
Then he drew a rune upon the pup's body in his own blood; soon after letting his eye ignite once more. He chanted as he drew “And behold upon the surface, I saw the Flower of Fae.” The rune on her body started to glow, Anthony then letting himself bleed on her; but that seemed the catalyst. “The flower then pleaded. Please let me feed; I need fluid so that I may protect the world. So standing before it cut open my wrist and declare; Then drink of my life's blood; so that you may save others. Verse of the savior first chapter, I call regrowth.” Once that was done the rune melded into her body; but her wounds closed in short order. The pup sputtered in the seconds that followed. He managed to clutch her to his chest “I got you love.” He struggled, but carried her into the tent; setting her down then limping his way to Annie.
By the time he got back to her she was deathly pale; so much lost blood even her gum line had paled. She was no longer what most would call conscious; her eyes followed him. But they were mealy lifeless orbs just following movement. He repeated himself again, drawing the very same rune on her head, then again on her torso; once more chanting this verse as he drew. He had to fight to keep his hand steady even as he lost more blood; he couldn’t afford to mess up the rune. This time however he ripped open his left wrist with his fangs and splattered her with blood. His twilight eye ignited once more and the runes then drank of this offered blood. Soon too just like with Jenny the runes accepted his offering then melded into her flesh; Annie's side regrew and her body restored to healthy order.
He struggled more so this time; but nothing proved itself more than the force of will of a guardian. He managed to stash Annie in the tent with her sister; both pups now utterly out cold and nearly frozen. But the bedding had gotten tossed in the fire during the fight; he heard it smoldering; not meant to be rolled out near a fire. The fire had long since gone dark; but it still burned all the same. Anthony was starting to get rather pale himself by now; but he forced himself on. He needed to warm the pups, the gas they had inhaled was sub zero fluid. He managed to toss the bedding on them; even if it burned them he had to warm them up. But that was all he had left at that point the tank finally ran empty. His vision harshly blurred after that, Anthony barely managing to fall to his right before he started to lose his balance and fall. Crashing to the ground with a loud thud. Felt himself growing colder and colder, but that was where he started to fade; that fairy's voice echoed in his thoughts once again.
\t“This Eye will save your life one day.” The fallen Fairy told him. “Really you should be grateful to me.” Then that same fairy bent down into his fading sight; gave him a wave, he then passed. His wounds and blood loss had caught up with him and claimed his end.
“As I had claimed, the eye would save your life. You choose to let it end.” The barely fae-like creature spoke, her wings folded around her like a cloak. Before she knelt down and started drawing runes of her own. “It's your own fault you took what was meant for you and gave it to them. I told you the eye would save your life; but I did not say I would save your nieces. But I also can't let you die with my eye; it'll take an eon before I can give it to another if you die like a pussy; can't you find a monster that's a real threat at least? Literally beaten by a flea; this is the person I gave my eye too? I'm so embarrassed. But I really do need a few more decades out of you at least. So, now you owe me, fool.” She almost sang the words with a dark tone. As she finished her rune and cast her magic.
\tBut as she did that the world faded away.
