Tale of Two Souls
Chapter 5
It was a bit of a strange wake up call for Usshin The older cat woken when something struck his face, and opening his eyes to see what was about to die he looked at what at first glance he thought was a green snake looking him in the eyes; but after a second look once his eyes focused on the object in front of him, it was only Ne’Ma’s tail, the thin green appendage somehow had made its way up to his face. Looking further down he saw the girl the tail belonged to, she had managed to curl herself in a ball on his chest as she slept and was still in her sort of ball position, nuzzling the cat’s midsection a little before hiding her muzzle under his shirt. He suppressed a laugh as she tickled his midsection a little as she continued to nuzzle him in her sleep, which he eventually put a stop to giving her a little shake saying as he did,
“Time to wake up sweetheart.”
The young reptile only flexed her claws a few times shaking her head ‘no’ as she went on to nuzzle a little more into his stomach. He gave her a few more shakes before the young girl finally relented and woke with a stretch, the claws on her feet gently grazing her father’s chin as she did. Once awake she hopped out of the bed with not but the jade green panties hugging her supple frame, her father giving a muffled groan as the sight teased him a little. Getting out of bed himself, the cat stretched a little to work out a few knots from where his daughter had decided to make herself comfortable last night, and once done with that the cat quickly got dressed asking his daughter to do as well, the young girl still in not but her panties. She giggled a little but then did as she was told, quickly putting on her dress and other clothing items. With the two now dressed Ne’Ma tugged on her fathers arm, looking up at him for a few moments before the cat responded,
“You want to know what we have to do today don’t you?
She smiled and nodded, the cat then sighing as he went on to say,
“Well unfortunately, it seems that we’ll have to go back to Riverwood, once there we’ll head up the mountain to work our way to the ruins where the dragon stone is kept.”
The girl nods with a disappointed frown, Usshin then saying in response,
“I know, I know, we were just there but its part of the job, fortunately we can hire a cart to take us this time so it won’t take as long as it did to get to Whiterun.”
The girl smiled a little bit, the thought of walking back to Riverwood was not something she would have enjoyed and it showed as she gave a silent sigh of relief; thinking she could find A find a few ways to make a cart ride fun. Once that topic was done, Usshin looked down with a grin as the young argonian’s stomach grumbled a little, the girl blushing a little as her belly betrayed her. Her father laughed a little and said as he patted her feathers a little,
“Don’t worry sweetheart, I’m hungry too, lets go get some breakfast shall we?”
The girl nodded then lead the way out of the room, her father close behind. Once down stairs and in the main hall of the inn the father daughter pair approached the counter where the inn keeper sat, the old nord woman updating the record book for the inn at the time. Setting the book down she looks up as she hears the two arrive, asking as she shook the cat’s hand,
“Well, good morning to you two, What can I help you with?”
The cat smiles, helping Ne’Ma up onto one of the stools near the counter, saying after she was seated,
“We’d like some breakfast if you’d be so kind.”
She nods saying as she called over to her employee,
“Saadia dear, can you bring out two plates for our guest here?”
From the other room someone calls out saying “Sure just a moment” then a few minutes later, much to the young lizards delight, a redguard woman brought over two plates of food, that being a hash of several thick pieces of bacon, some eggs, potatoes, and fresh veggies. If the young argonian could make any noise at that moment, she would have let out a high pitch squeal as she nearly danced in her seat just about drooling at the smell of the food. The redguard woman Saadia says with a laugh as she handed the two their plates,
“Gee, if everyone got this excited about my cooking I might just spend more time refining my skill at it, enjoy you two, I’ll bring you some drinks in just a moment.”
The cat nods taking a bite of his food as his young charge stuffed a large bite into her waiting maw, making her father lightly thump her head saying as he did,
“Ne’Ma, how many times have I told you to mind your manners, take smaller bites, no one is going to take it away from you.”
She nods swallowing her mouthful of food, then abruptly burping, a light blush forming is her cheeks afterward, watching her father face palm at the unladylike display. The elderly Nord woman behind woman behind the counter laughed a little then says as she rubs the girls head,
“Oh don’t listen to him little one, you’re in a nord inn, no ones going to think any less of you, heck you might even impress a few people.”
Ne’Ma lets out a silent giggle then goes back to eating her breakfast, being a little more proper for her father, the old cat only grinning and shaking his head as that attempt lasted all of a minute or two. A moment later Saadia returned with drinks for the pair, some ice cold honey mead for Usshin, and some fresh and cold grape juice for Ne’Ma. The two continued to eat their breakfast, Usshin talking with the inn keep a little as he ate, then once they finished eating they thanked the old inn keeper and the redguard woman for the meal then left the inn behind walking into the circular plaza where the stall keepers where getting ready to open for the day and people were just starting to emerge from their homes to engage the day in whatever way they wanted or needed to. The young argonian girl gave a little stretch then taking a deep breath in then moments later she was running around looking at the stalls, looking at what people where doing, but when her father called her back, grinning as her usual energy was not lost with her voice she came and gave him a hug.
Once they were finished poking around the market plaza, Usshin having the foresight to pickup a bit of something for lunch having sold the pelts he was given by the hunter the day before for a pretty fair price leaving him with a dozen coins left after buying their lunch. With everything they needed they paid a quick visit to the Jarl, the Nord passing on a few more coins to pay for their trip back to Riverwood, at which point the two then headed to the outside of the city, where the stables where at to find the aforementioned wagon. The short walk was soon over and after a short talk with the driver who admitted he normally only went to the major capitols but with a bit of bartering a deal was then struck between the cat and the nord driving the wagon, Usshin would pay ten more septims then normal, but they would get a ride as close to Riverwood as the driver could get too. With that done the two got onto the wagon at which point the driver then picked up the reigns of his horse then in a few moments they were on the road the sound of the wheels and the clack of the horse’s hooves on the stone roads and the sound of the birds flying about.
Despite their intended location, it was a rather nice day, it was not to cold, in fact it was getting just on the underside of warm, and both Ne’Ma and her father were enjoying it, Usshin having taken the moment to close his eyes while he could and Ne’Ma being calm too taking the opportunity to sun bathe as much as she could having only the one dress to wear, however she did hike up its hemline to expose more of her legs, and even once her father wasn’t paying attention to what she was doing, slipped her arms free of the dress and exposed just a small portion of her upper back to the suns rays; The cart driver going back and forth from talking with Usshin, whistling or humming as he drove the wagon onward. It was a little while later that Usshin had noticed Ne’Ma’s current lack of attire, the girl having forgotten she had slipped out of her dress a little when she turned over on her back exposing her immature chest to anyone who would have been looking, not that there was anyone but them and the driver, the nord of which was to busy to really notice. After thinking about it for a few moments, Usshin chuckled a little and let her be, it wasn’t like she had any deployment in the area to be ogled, and no one was there to touch her, not that they’d get the chance with her over protective father there.
It was the hemline of her dress he wanted her to fix; she had pulled it up several more times as she got more and more into the mood of sunning herself and as such was now all but pulled up past her waist so that her panties where on full display, the only thing keeping her virgin mound hidden from the world outside and even those she was starting to pull at without even knowing it. He sighed, he knew she wasn’t doing it purposely she didn’t know anything about adult topics that he himself had not taught her, and that wasn’t much but still, the sight of his half naked daughter was a tempting sight but he stayed his path and would not stray, well a little, he didn’t touch but he couldn’t look away. Such a succulent little target, and to his credit, he held out as long as he could be eventually he thought of what it would feel like to be with her as more then just his daughter, but after the thought crossed his thoughts and he found his hand idly caressing her thigh he immediately banished the thought from his mind and when she looked up and saw him shaking his head while his hand rubbed her thigh, she blushed very slightly and looked over to her father who was quick to notice his little girl looking at him and what he was still doing, and pulling his hand away he quickly thought of something and said looking over to her,
“You need to fix your dress dear, . . . . Its not proper.”
That’s what he said, but what he didn’t say was that she was giving him a massive erection, his long ignored organ now protesting his avoidance of the topic as he then had to hide the bulge forming under his robes. However the girl shook her head and gave a little pouty face, motioning in a way that she was asking if she could take it off, holding her hands out and looking around the cart as if to say ‘there isn’t anyone here who would see’. He sighed, she knew how to get what she wanted from him, it was all to easy for her to win these kind of situations where she wanted something and he was trying to tell her no. In the end same as the other times before she won and he agreed to let her take her dress off, for now that was, after looking up at the sky he knew that the sun would not last much longer as clouds where threatening to return to block the sun out. He told her she had to keep her panties on but she could remove her dress which she instantly did, and if she could have made the sound to do so she would have eeped in delight. Usshin approached the wagon driver, and offered the man several more coins if he would keep his eyes forward and on the road for now, not wanting to giving him more of a hint as to what his daughter was doing then he had to; the man had no problems about it, quickly accepting the coins and turning his eyes back to the road ahead, Usshin then returning to his seat.
It was not much easier on him now though, with all but her underwear removed the young lizard was completely on display enjoying the warm sunlight in a position that the girl didn’t know was provocative, not that she even knew what the word meant. She had laid herself down on her removed dress and had all but allowed her legs to go spread eagle to allow the sun to warm as much of her small body as she could, her young mound pulled tightly against her almost nude like panties. Once more for his credit, the cat didn’t try anything, but he badly wanted to, resorting to biting his lower lip to keep himself from thinking about what was next to him, wrapped like a candy in a single layer of fabric. When his strength finally started to wear thin he finally allowed himself to look at his daughter, to adore and admire her young supple frame and lithe body then eventually even her young mound. The girl noticed her father staring at her and smiled not thinking anything of it not knowing as to how dangerously close she was to getting pounced on, going as far as to move closer to him and resting her legs across his lap with a silent giggle, resting the entirety of her lower half on his lap. He bit his lip hard enough to draw blood to keep himself on the up and up as the girl once more closed her eyes and leaned her head back to enjoy the sun making her look even better then she already did, all of her most tender and succulent flesh not but an inch from his grasp. Luckily for him however it ended just about as fast as it began, he had to quietly thank the gods as the clouds rolled back in blocking the sun in the sky and near instantly making the temperature drop, at which point the young argonian quickly got back into her clothes and then huddled against him; if it was one thing she didn’t like it was the cold. Counting his lucky stars, the cat enjoyed the rest of the trip with little to no excitement of that kind, and once they arrived at the point where it was as far as the driver could take the wagon, they thanked the man, and went of their way, being less then twenty minutes or so away from Riverwood. After once more crossing over the stone bridge into Riverwood they met back up with Alvor the Nordic smith having been at his forge when they got there. Seeing the two approach the man sets down his hammer and walks over to greet the two with an out stretched hand, say as he shook the cat’s hand,
“Ah, welcome back you two, I see that your trip to Whiterun was successful.”
Motioning to the guards now patrolling what little sections of walls the town had to offer, the nord then going on to say,
“Everyone in town feels so much better now that we have armed and trained guards to watch the town for us, and we have you to thank for that.”
The cat nods saying as the nord let go of his hand,
“Its no problem my friend, glad I could help.”
With that out of the way the nord smiled asking as showed the two to his forge, the man having seen Ne’Ma shivering as the cold continued to roll back in,
“So, what brings you two back to Riverwood after leaving not but yesterday? Not that I‘m not happy to see you, you two are always welcome in my home.”
Nodding the cat motioned up toward the mountain saying as he watched Ne’Ma warm up next to the fires of the forge,
“Well someone back in Whiterun hired us to go venture into bleak falls barrow, apparently there is a relic deep within that they want me to retrieve.”
The man nods saying as he look up to the mountain,
“I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t like that mountain, I’ve here for a long time and not once have I ever been willing to step foot in its direction, but if you’re willing to go up, well then you’re a stronger man then I.”
The cat shares a laugh with the man for moment, Alvor then asking,
“So would you like us to keep an eye on the little one for you here in the village? That barrow is no place for a child, plus she doesn’t look like one to take the cold to well and I know it gets really cold up there.”
Usshin looked down at his daughter, he knew it well enough that she detested being cold, and he wasn’t exactly looking forward to taking her into the ruins with him, so looking back to the man he said,
“It might be for the best, but are you sure? I’d not want to impose.”
The man laughed a little and says as he pat the girls head,
“Not to worry my friend, it would be my honor to keep her safe for you till you come back.”
Usshin shrugged his shoulders looking down to the girl and asking her,
“So Ne’Ma, you want to stay here with Alvor and his family while I go up to the barrow?”
The girl looks at her father, then up to the snow covered mountain he was bound for a shiver visibly running down her spin as she then looks up to her father and quickly nodding, the though of how cold it would be up there making the girl huddle closer to the forge. With his daughters mind made up the cat nods to the man saying as he got ready to turn and leave,
“Well then, I shall return as soon as I am able, take good care of Ne’Ma for me.”
The nord nods saying as he waved goodbye to Usshin,
“Not to worry my friend, I’ll take care of her as if she was my own daughter.”
The cat nodded then finally turned to leave, leaving the girl behind with the nord at the forge. Once she realized just what was going on she looked to where her father was, then looked at how cold the mountain looked, she shivered scooting closer to the forge, the man chuckling as he went to get what it was he needed next for his project. The girl couldn’t get over it though, she heard her fathers foot falls get quieter and quieter as he got farther away, then as if on cue, the though of “what if something happens, what if he gets hurt up there and no one knew”. Her eyes widened, what if he got hurt, what if she never saw him again, The nord watching as she started to panic, trying to fight the urge follow him because she didn’t want to be cold all the while tears welled up in her eyes, the man thinking to himself as he watched the girl deteriorate,
‘Must be the first time they’ve been apart in her life.’
He chuckled as he thought aloud, ’5,4,3,2,1’ and as if he knew what she was going to do the girl ran after her father tears streaming down her face, he laughed a little with a cheese eating grin almost as if saying ‘called it’ but her father was not expecting it, he had all but taken in reality five steps from the forge when Ne’Ma ran to him, and started grabbing him from behind. Turning to see what was wrong with his little girl, he saw tears in her eyes, and she gripped him tightly, it dawned on him then that this would be the very first time they’d be separated, and it seems that the girl did not like it in the end. With a warm smile he said picking her up into his arms,
“What’s wrong dear, don’t you want to stay here where its warm?”
The girl shakes her head no then burring her face in his chest, the moment getting a couple of “aw” from the people nearby, Usshin then saying as he look her in her eyes,
“Its going to be cold up there and those old ruins are dangerous places.”
She shook her head again no again then locked her hands behind his neck, he laughed a little, he genuinely didn’t expect this, he always saw Ne’Ma as a strong young girl, he didn’t think he’d see this side of her, it was cute, and he said as he slid his arm under her rear to pick her up,
“Alright then sweetheart, I’ll take you with me.”
The girl nodded with a sigh of relief laying her head on his shoulder hugging his neck. Looking back to Alvor, the smith having poked his head out to see what would happen, Usshin nodding at him with a smile, and with a nod from the smith who went back to his work Usshin says as he looks to Ne’Ma once more,
“It will be cold up there Ne’Ma, I know how much you detest the cold.”
The girl nods then puts her head on his shoulder once again, Usshin then looking over as someone called over to him saying,
“Perhaps we could help with that, and in return you could help us?”
Looking over he saw an imperial man waving him over, the man quickly introducing himself as Lucan Valerius and quickly invited them inside of his shop. Usshin nods and quickly entered the man’s shop, was inside he and Ne’Ma where introduced to his sister Camilla, Usshin then asking as the man returned to his counter,
“So you said you could help us?”
The man nods showing them to a few cabinets that had a decent supply of warm clothing articles, Usshin then saying as he and Ne’Ma looked at them,
“They look well made but I’ve not much coin at the moment.”
The imperial man nods saying as he walked over,
“That’s not a problem, you see I overheard that you plan to go up to the barrow, is that correct?”
The cat nods, the mans sister then saying,
“Wait, this is your plan? You pick two people off the street for it?”
The man turns back to his sister and says,
“Our new friend here looks more then capable, and besides you where the one who not five minutes ago told me to do something about so here I am doing something about it.”
The cat cocking his head as the brother sister pair argued about it, then asking as he interrupted them,
“What is this about if I may ask?”
The pair look over to him, Lucan saying after he cleared his throat,
“We had a bit of a break in the other night, as you can see, the thieves didn’t take much, but what they did is precious to me.”
The cat nods asking as he set Ne’Ma down to look at the clothing they had to offer,
“And what is it that they stole?”
The man says as he walks closer to the cat,
“An ornament, solid gold in the shape of a dragon’s claw, I have reason to believe they took it to the barrow, why I don‘t really know, but the fact remains they have my claw and I want it back, so here’s the deal, if you can bring my claw back I‘d be willing to pay you for your efforts and I‘d be willing to throw some warm clothing into the deal as well.”
The cat thinks about it for a moment. Common thieves could be no problem for him and it seemed that Ne’Ma had found some items that caught her eyes, a fuzzy pair of boots and something that looked like a pair of pants that she would wear under her dress to help keep her legs warm. Looking as Ne’Ma fawned over the items, Usshin laughed a little and said shaking the man’s hand,
“Alright you’ve got a deal, I’ll bring back your claw in exchange for those items Ne’Ma wants and the gold you mentioned.”
The man nods agreement watching as the young lizard went about putting on her new warm additions to her little outfit, then as quickly as the encounter began, it ended, the man and his sister waving goodbye to the father daughter pair as they started out on their trek up the mountain to bleak falls barrow, Ne’Ma happy enjoying the warmth of her new boots, though it did look a little silly on her. Though he was happy to have her along, the cat dreaded taking her into the barrow, but he’d deal with it as it came, for now she was happily flocking around in the snow as they ventured up the path, one step closer to their destiny.
