", "writing": "The usual [b]bad writing[/b] advice!\n\n[center][b]Chapter 2 History lesson +\nthe connection ritual[/b][/center]\n \n“Run Max, run for your life!” shouted one of my best friends Nick and we both did just that. Behind us were at least 100 darklings and 10 black dragons and they all wanted to kill us. Suddenly the reality seems to fold around us and Nick began to scream in panic. “They are using the reality gun! We are so dead!” he screamed. I looked behind us and saw that the dragons were close. I turned back and saw an endless cliff right ahead. “JUMP!!!!” Nick shouted and we both fell into the endless darkness of the cliff.\nI woke up and I was confused. “Why is everything so dark? Where am I?” I asked myself but the memories came back to me. “Yeah right I slept with the dragon…… he folded his wings around me” I said. I casted a little light spell and now I could see his belly and his wings around me. The dragon really locked me up with his wings…. probably accidently. Right in this moment the dragon unfolded his wings and I saw his head. He looked down at me. My heart was beating like crazy and I was full of sweat because of the nightmare. I was shaking, too. “I’m sorry if I woke you up. It was just a nightmare” I said quietly and I shut of my light spell. The dragon just looked at me for a few seconds, and then he started to lick my fur again. “No stop, I’m full of sweat” I said while smiling. He seemed to notice it because even before I finished my warning he stopped and he shook his head in distaste. “Told ya” I said. He seems to forgive me because he rubbed his head against me and I stroke his head. It really calmed me down and I laid myself next to him. It was still in the middle of the night and I was still tired. I wrapped my arms around his belly and again I felt his really warm and comfortable body. I could hear his heartbeat and it was kinda relaxing for me. Again, the dragon fold his wings around me. “Maybe he wants protecting me with his wings?” I thought myself. Now it was dark again and I had to think about my nightmare. The darklings…… they were the enemies of every living being. Mike was fighting them together with many other people. It was the duty of every tamer to fight for our freedom. They had a horrible power….fear. Every creature that came close to them felt fear. Some of the darklings even ride black dragons. Only the bravest magicians and the tamers could fight them. The next problem was that they rarely fought alone, they always fight in groups and that is what made them so dangerous. They can also make slaves with their magic…. that is what happens to my parents. I was 6 years old when darklings attack our village were we lived. Only Mike and I escaped the attack. I remembered that day pretty well…..\n \n(Quick note: I will write this from Mike’s perspective)\n \n“Mike!” my mother yelled. “Yeah?” I asked from my room that I shared with my little brother. “Could you please search your brother? And if you find him, tell him that dinner is ready” my mother asked. “Sure” I replied and I made my way down stairs. I had an idea were my brother was. I left the house and walked through our village. It was a bit dark but the moon enlightened the Village. It was a warm summer night and I went for the lake/river. It was like a lake but it had two rivers connected to it. One from the water source and one that was a waterway to the next village a few kilometers away. I stood on the shore when I saw my brother. He was still training his swim and diving skills. I smiled a bit and decided to jump into the water to get to my brother. I quickly dived to him and I scared him a bit when I grabbed him. “Hey little one, mom said that dinner is ready and I should get you home” I said while simultaneously wrapping my arms around his chest to hold him about the water. “Mike you scared the hell out of me” Max said shocked. “I’m sorry Max. But you're definitely getting better at swimming” I said. “Really?” he asked happy. I knew how to cheer him up. “Yeah of course” I said but now I begun to lay on my back to swim with him. I was aiming for the shore while holding him. He relaxed in my arms because now he did not need to do anything. I pulled us out of the water and we both made our way back home. Our house was in sight and we could see our mother in the doorframe. I had my hand on Max’s shoulder when suddenly we heard an explosion right behind us. We both jumped and I looked over my shoulder and I saw something horrible. A dragon that was darker than the night was destroying our main gate. I opened my mouth wide in shock and I was frozen for a second. There were more than just one dragon… they were many and fear started to spread in my entire body. I heard a scram and that freed me from my paralysis. I picked Max up and ran to our house. Adrenaline was pumping through my body so it was easy for me to carry Max. Now our father joined our mother at the doorframe. He was just as shocked as we were. Max and I were now with them. “Mike take Max and run! We have to defend to Village. Take the second gate” our father said but in this moment, the second gate exploded, too. The black dragons lit many building on fire + some of the streets. “RUN!!!” both of our parents shouted and I turned around with Max in my arms and I just ran for my life. Max saw how our parents opened a duel with a few fireballs. Suddenly I had a genius Idea. “Fire can’t hit us underwater! And the river leads us directly to the next village” I thought myself. I started running and our target was the lake but suddenly Max screamed in my arms. I turned around and saw why. The darklings and the black dragons kidnapped our parents. “NOOOOOOO” I screamed with tears in my eyes but I knew I would never stand a chance against them. I had magic powers but I wasn’t trained to use them, so I didn’t know how to cast spells. I saw how they have turned around and our eyes met. It was a moment of unbelievable pain but I closed my eyes, my teeth were clenched und tears were dripping down my cheek but I had to run. I turned away from our parents and I just ran with Max in my arms. At the lake waited another surprise for us. Five darkligns blocked the way and they came to kill us. “NO they can’t have Max” I screamed in my own head. I screamed and I stretched out an arm. My eyes glowed and a huge explosion ripped them into pieces. I knew that I had casted my first spell but I didn’t wasted a second thought about it and continued running. “MAX hold your breath!” I shouted to him. I looked at his eyes and I know that he was broken. His eyes didn’t moved at all and it seemed like he was barely breathing. His eyes and cheek were full of tears. He just looked behind us…. traumatized for his whole life. When I saw that I stopped, the lake was just a few steps away. “I can’t do it without him” I thought myself. “MAX please listen to me. We have to go, there is no way we can save them” I said to him but he didn't seem to hear me. His grip was very loose but I made a decision. His nostrils would close when we jump into the water. I took a very deep breath and I jumped. Right when I jumped I heard that Max also took a deep breath and I was unbelievable happy about it. I felt his grab tighten up and he seems to come back to me. We quickly dived to the main gate and the fire illuminated the water. He swam under the hatch that could be closed but luckily, it didn’t. After a few minutes, I felt that Max tipped me on my head and I looked to him. “It looks like he can’t hold his breath for much longer” I thought myself and I pressed my lips on his. I gave him some “fresh” air to breath. I filled his little lungs and he begun to help me swimming with his feet’s. After a few minutes, I pointed upwards because I needed air and we swam to the surface. We both inhaled instantly after we broke the surface of the water. After a few breaths, I looked behind us. I could see that we were far from safety and that the entire village was now on fire. I prevented Max from turning his head so that he couldn’t see the flames. “Hold it” I said to Max and we both again took a deep breath and continued our dive. After what could only be described as years of struggle, I saw the city gate of the next village. We were very close when we swam to the shore and we crawled out of the water. We were too exhausted to walk so I just dug my little claws in the dirt and I dragged Max and me further and further. “Hey what are…. oh my god” a voice said and I saw a little light above me. It seems like two guards have found us and they were right above us. “Gabe they are both children” one of them said in horror. I couldn't answer and I was heavy panting. I heard that Max was also panting and sometimes coughing a bit. The two guards picked us up and carried us to the gate. “Open the gate quick!” he shouted in the night. I saw that the gates opened and the two guards carried us inside. “Call a medic quick!” said the one that carried me. I felt the guard carefully placing me on a stretcher and Max laid right next to me. “Can you tell us what happened?” the guard asked me and now I could see his horrified face. “The darklings…… they attacked Luma” I said week. The two guards looked at each other in fear. The guard looked down at me again and he opened his mouth to say something but he closed it again and he looked at me in confusion. “Why are your eyes glowing?” he asked me. I was about to answer but something like a vacuum appeared in my body and drained all of my energy and I almost passed out. I turned my head to Max and I saw that he was sleeping. That was the last thing I saw because in the next moment I really passed out.\n \nJust the memory was like a sword my heart and I began to shake again. The dragon seems to notice this because he began to stroke my belly gently and chest with one of his claws. I relaxed me “Mike would have done the same thing” I thought while relaxing. A few minutes passed and I slept again, leaned against the dragon's belly.\nNext time I woke up was in the morning. A bit of sunlight was shining through the wings of the dragon and so I got up. I carefully moved the wings a bit to get out. I stood in the cave and looked around. Slowly I began to realize something…… “Fuck I have tamed a dragon! My god how did I do this? Dragons are known for killing many magicians that tried to tame them. There were definitely not friendly and sometimes they even attacked villages to get some food. I thought Mike was a special tamer because he tamed Kabe when he was 17 but I’m just 15! I even never heard of someone that young that tamed a dragon. Why me? I’m not even finished my training. I wasn’t a Mage…. I was just a student but the prove lays right in front of me. He allowed me to sleep with him and he is clearly protecting me” I thought and it felt really weird in my head. I had no logical explanation why he let me live and why he allowed me to tame him. In this moment, he woke up and he turned towards me. He caught me in the middle of my crisis. The dragon got up and he walked to me. He booped me with his nose and I stroke his head, still confused. “Well maybe I should ask him later” I thought and in this moment, something more important came to my mind. “Look I can’t stay here, I need to go. You don’t know the way to Rockfort do you?” I asked. However, to my surprise he nodded. “Wait… you know the way?” I asked again. He nodded again and I smiled. “Can you tell me the way?” I asked. He made a confusing face with a mix of yes and no. I just looked confused at him. He rolled with his eyes a bit and he kneeled in front of me. He looked like he wanted me to get on his back. “You want me to….” I said unsure. I slowly walked to his back but I had no idea how to get up there without hurting him. Suddenly he grabbed me with his mouth and he put me on his back. In the beginning, I was confused where I should hold on but I found a good spot so I laid myself on his back and begun to hold on. He unfold his wings and we flew away. I just couldn’t stop smiling because I was flying again and it felt soooo good. The landscape below us was so tiny but also so beautiful. I saw fields full of crop, forests with lots of trees and some cities or villages. At some point, I noticed that we were descending and I wondered why. Finally, I knew why…. The dragon aimed for a big river and he landed right in it. He folded his wings on his body and now we were swimming in the river. “I’m still stinking like hell. Maybe I should get a bath” I thought myself and I got up. The dragon watched me how I walked to the side of his body and I jumped head first into the water. During the jump, I almost lost my sword on my back. “Nonono you stay there” I thought underwater and I put it back on my back. I quickly noticed that the dragon was right behind me and that the river was quiet deep. I pointed down and I swam as fast as I could but hell…. If I thought that I could swim fast then that was nothing against the dragon. He was just as fast as the light itself but he also created a massive stream that pulls me down with him. I never thought that he is that fast. Now we both were very deep and I had to cast a light spell to see something. “Maybe it was not a river after all…. maybe more like a lake or a see” I thought myself but I know that I had to be careful because of my air. We were very deep and I didn’t like that. So I began to swim up…. back to the surface. I saw the dragon playing a bit with me because he swam around me and I only then remembered that he could breathe underwater. “Lucky you” I thought myself while swimming upwards. Suddenly I felt his teeth gently closing around my neck and he helped me swimming….. Or more like he carried me back to the surface. I gasped for air when we broke through the surface and the dragon let me go. “Sorry I can hold my breath for quite some time but I’m uncomfortable to be that deep” I explained to him. He nodded and he invited me back on his back. He had to dive because of his size. I climbed on his back and we swam to the shore. I started to dry my fur a bit. “Magic is practical” I said when I was done. I jumped off his back and I looked around me. I didn’t know where the hell I was but it didn’t bother me too much. I refilled all my water flasks and drank a bit of the water. After that, I sat down and thought a little bit. “I should send Mike a letter. He knows what to do with the dragon and if I really tamed him. I know there is a ritual of some kind but I have no idea how to perform it” I thought myself. Therefore, I searched my bag for some paper and a pen. I began to write a letter for Mike. After a few minutes, I was done and I send it to him with a spell. A sting flame appeared and my letter vanished. The dragon looked at me a bit confused. “I just wanted to send a letter, everything is fine” I said to him and he looked away. The little pause was longer then I have thought. In between, I also drank some of his milk and I still liked the taste. It was getting late, I climbed back on the dragon’s back, and we continued our journey to Rockfort. Hours past and I slowly getting tired. For some magical reason, there was no wind on the dragons back so the journey was very comfortable….. Yeah a bit cold but at least no wind in my ears. Finally, I could saw the city on the horizon. I smiled but something also crossed my mind. “OH wait you can’t come close to the city. You aren’t marked and they will open fire immediately!” I shouted to the dragon. He nodded and he flew on a much lower altitude. They shouldn’t see us coming and he would drop me of a few meters away. “Ok I think you should stop here” I said and he landed on the street. I could see the city gates in the distance but they can’t spot us here. “Thanks” I said a little undecided. I didn’t know what to do now… I didn’t wanted to send him away… but I couldn’t keep him with me. It was in this moment that I remembered that Mike was now maybe in the city. In my letter, I asked him to meet me at Rockfort and I knew that Mike was fast. “Ok wait here… maybe I have a solution” I said and he nodded. I quickly ran to the city gates. When I become visible to the guards, I stopped running because I didn’t want attention. I stopped at the gate and I laid my hands on them. “Don’t you want to say hello?” a voice asked and I turned around. There he was…. Mike stood a bit beside the road and I had completely overlooked him. Behind him was his dark green dragon Kabe. “MIKE” I shouted and I ran to him. He opened his arms and I jumped in his arms. Pure happiness flowed through my body and it was so good to see him again. The last time I saw him was about have a year and it definitely was too long. We both hugged us tightly and we smiled at each other. “Mike I have to tell you something” I said……\n \n(A few hours earlier)\n \n“So you are really going on vacation and leave us here Mike?” Nila asked me out of fun. “Oh come on don’t say it like that honey” I said while I packed a few things. “I’m just messing with ya. You have definitely earned your vacation” she said smiling and we kissed each other. “What have you planned for your vacation?” she asked. “Oh I don’t know….. The only thing that I really want is to see Max. I miss him really badly and to be honest it makes me sick that we haven’t met in like….. Half a year” I said. She sat herself behind me and she wrapped her arms around me. “I’m sure he is fine but I can totally understand that you want to meet him” she whispered in my ear and she stroke my chest a bit. “Oh and if you see him send him my greetings” she added. “No problem, I think he will be happy about that” I said smiling. In this moment, a sting flame appeared and I caught a letter. I looked at the sender. “Hey it is from Max” I said surprised. “Speaking of the devil” Nila said with a smile and I quickly unfolded the letter. “\n\n\nHi Mike\n \nHow should I start? I’m kinda in a situation and I need some advice from you. Sorry but I can’t tell you this in a letter I need to tell it to you face to face. Rockfort is close but maybe he is a bit early and it seems to be important. Sorry Honey but I have to go now” I said to Nila. “No problem” she said and we kissed each other. I shouldered my bag and went out. The base of team blue was a house with a stable on a hill. The base had a bedroom with 10 beds, a kitchen/meeting room and a workshop. The “stable” was the place for the dragons. There they could sleep, eat or just relax there. It seemed like it was vulnerable but it had some pretty tough shield spells on it and other magic as well. “Kabe, make yourself ready we are heading to Rockfort” I said to Kabe through telepathy. “To Rockfort?... that's not the first vacation location I had in mind” said Kabe. “No we are going to meet my little brother there” I said. “Mhhh you haven't seen him in a long time” Kabe said. “I know…. and I’m really happy that we will see him today” I said and we met outside. I climbed on his back but I turned around and saw that Nila stood in the doorframe. “Love you” I said to her. “I love you, too” she said and I gave Kabe the signal. We flew away from our base and right to Rockfort. After about an hour, we landed in front of the gates. I jumped from his back and I pet his head a bit. “I’m going to see if he is already here. It won’t take long” I said to Kabe. “Right and I look for him on the road” Kabe said. “Good idea thanks” I said and I turned towards the city gates. The guards opened the door and I went inside. Rockfort wasn’t a small town; it was more like a big city. The seats were busy and I saw many people here. To my surprise, the city was much fuller than I expected it. In addition to the normal small market stalls was now a variety of significantly more magnificent stalls. “Mhh did I missed something?” I thought. I went for the local inn. As soon as I entered, I noticed how full it was. Almost every chair was occupied and I saw many different species. They clearly aren't from around here and I was confused for a moment. I went to the owner and he turned towards me. “How can I help you sir?” he asked. “Hi I need a room for 2” I said. “One moment I’ll see if we have something left” He said to my surprise and he went into a side room. After about a minute, he came back to me. “Sorry we only have one single bed room left” he said apologizing. “Oh that's ok too, we can share a bed” I said. He gave me the key and I gave him some gold. “Oh no sir. Tamers don’t have to pay for a bed. We didn’t forget that you and your fellers are protecting us against many threats” the owner said. “Oh thank you” I said and I put the gold back into my pocket. I realized that I still wore my armor and my cape with the logo of group blue. “It’s right upstairs on the left side, room number 14” He said. “Thanks a lot…. sorry if I ask but why is it so busy here? I mean this isn’t normal right?” I asked him. “My good sir this is normal...at least for the Sunset Fest! This festival only occurs every 10 years. Many people come from near and far to celebrate it with us. Rockfort is the classical host for this festival. It is one of the biggest festivals I know” the owner said smiling. “Oh that actually explains a lot” I said while looking around. “Sorry…. one last question and after that I promise to don’t bother you anymore” I said apologizing. “No problem go ahead” he said. “Did you saw someone that look like me… or to be more precise someone with this light blue marking?” I ask and I pointed on my left cheek. It was our clan symbol…. now only Max and I had this on our cheeks. It was a little stripe of light blue color and it was dyed with magic. “Mhhh sorry but I didn’t see someone with that and I have a pretty good memory when it comes to faces. Sorry if I say it like that but a marking like that on your cheek, I would have remembered it” he said and he looked a bit worried. “Oh don’t worry he has announced himself for tonight. I just thought that maybe he was already here” I said to calm him down. “Oh ok” he said happy. “Mike?” a voice asked and I turned around. It was Master Kyle, my former and now Max’s master. Master Kyle was a somewhat old owl and he was very wise. “Oh Master Kyle good to see you” I said surprised. He sat himself besides me but he looked a bit worried. “Mike have you seen Max?” he asked me. “No I didn’t, I’m looking for him, too” I said. “Oh dammit. I’m sorry but I have to tell you that Max is probably lost somewhere. I accidently gave him the wrong map. I fear that he is lost somewhere in the wilderness” Kyle said. “Relax, he send me a letter a couple of hours ago and we wanted to meet us here. If that’s not relaxing you I promise I will look for him if he don’t show up until tomorrow morning” I said and I laid a hand on his shoulder. “Oh thanks Mike. *sight* you can’t believe how sorry I am for that. I just was one moment distracted and more worse is that I discovered my mistake far too late” he said. For a man that is very wise and normally very calm he now was pretty emotional. “as I said, don’t worry I’m sure he is fine” I said again and this time he calmed down. “Yeah you’re right…. I should calm down and have faith in him” he said. “Right you should do that” I said smiling. “Sorry I didn’t even said hello. How are you Mike?” he said now more like his normal self. “I want to be honest with you….. Pretty fucked. The Darklings are getting stronger and stronger. They have captured some tamers from the other groups. More and more mages turn against us every day…. and that are the people that we know turning on us. I think that the problem is far worse than we think it is. The problems don’t end there. The darklings seam to plan something big and we don’t know what it is” I whispered to him. “Oh that’s not good. Are you and Nila ok?” he asked silently. “Yes, fortunately we are both fine” I said. “Well thank god. Sorry but I have some things to do and I just wanted to see if Max showed up” Kyle said. “Oh no problem I think we are going to see us later anyway” I said. “Probably, bye” he said and he walked out of the Inn. “Hey Kabe did you find him?” I asked him. “No, unfortunately I haven’t found him yet” Kabe said. “Right then come back and I’ll meet you at the City gates” I said and I stood up. “See you there” Kabe said and I left the Inn. “I could go shopping a bit. Kabe need some time before he is at the gates” I thought and so I walked over the marketplace and I bought some stuff. After that, I walked out of the gates and I sat down a bit off the street. A few minutes later Kabe joined me and I leaned myself against his body. I stroke his head while waiting. It slowly went evening and I still waited. “I can see Max” Kabe said finally and a big stone fell of my heart. We both stood up and we waited. After about a minute later, I could see him but instead of greeting us, he walked straight to gates. I noticed that he looked tired but after all I heard from Kyle, I wasn’t surprised. “Don’t you want to say hello?” I said and Max turned around. “MIKE!” he shouted and he ran to me. I opened my arms and he jumped into them. When we hugged each other, I was very happy and I felt something warming my entire body. I missed him so much and finally we meet again but I noticed something strange. “Mike do you smell that?” Kabe asked me. “Yeah but I can’t tell you why my brother have a smell like dragon saliva on him” I said to him. Max of cause couldn’t hear us because I told Kabe that via telepathy. “Mike I have to tell you something” Max said and he looked at me. “What? That you were lost in the wilderness because Master Kyle gave you the wrong map?” I said smiling. “Wait what?... how do you know that?” he asked me surprised. “I met Kyle inside and he told me what happened. You can believe me if I’m saying that he is very very sorry about that” I said. “I knew it…. but that is not everything I wanted to tell you” Max said. “Well then tell me” I said. “.... I can’t or it is better to show it to you. Come with me and I will show you what I mean” Max said. I was a bit confused but I agreed. Kabe, Max and I walked a bit away from the city and I was really curious what he would show me. He took us to a little forest clearing. “Where is…..” Max said a bit worried. Something in my stomach told me that Max did something unbelievable but I tried to ignore it. Max stopped and he looked around. “Where is he?” Max said again. “Mike look to your left! Between the trees” Kabe suddenly said. I quickly turned around and I couldn’t believe what I saw. Hidden behind some bushes sat a little, dark blue dragon! Max followed my eyes and now he saw him, too. “There you are! Why are you hiding?” Max asked as if this would be the most usual thing on the world. “YOU DIDN’T!” I said to Max and I looked in shock at him. My mouth and eyes were wide open and I couldn’t believe it……\n \n“YOU DIDN’T” said Mike to me and I saw how his eyes and mouth were wide open. “Yeah I kinda tamed a dragon…. or more like he didn’t kill me. I need to tell you the entire story” I said and I began to tell him everything…..\n \n“not only that my 15 year old brother tamed a dragon all by himself… no you even drank his milk before you established your first connection…. but the circumstances justify the medium right?” Mike said. During my storytelling, the dragon came out of his hiding spot and he went behind me where I stroked him a bit. “Now I can fully understand your wish to see me in person” Mike said smiling. “But I need to warn ya. As a tamer, you have many duties and rules and it isn’t very relaxing. In addition, there are some things you have to do for your dragon, not only pay for food and shelter no….. There are other things that I can’t explain to you. Just believe me that it is everything but easy to be a tamer” Mike said seriously. “But I want to become a tamer…. just like you” I said and a glance of willpower was shining in my eyes. “If you really want it then swear to me. Mike looked to the dragon and me begun to speak something in the dragon language. The dragon slowly came close and he positioned himself right above me. “Ok Max I’m going to explain a bit before we do it. Tamer and dragon have a physical connection. On your side it is your navel on the dragon’s side it is this here” he said and he began to spread the fourth body opening from the dragon. A pink tip appeared out of it and I heard the dragon that obviously didn't like it. Mike quickly said something in the dragon language most likely to calm him down. “You get the idea?” Mike asked me. I had an Idea but it was so… wrong. “No” I said worried. “*sight* this tube has to go into your navel. On this way, he enters your body and can pass you things like oxygen, food, water and pretty much everything and he has a physical connection to your nerves. If you’re both connected, you share your senses, for example your dragon smells something if you are connected you will smell it, too. This connection is the basic for every tamer, without it you can’t be trained” Mike said. He took a small box out of his bag. “What is that?” I asked. “Magical lube, it might help us” Mike said while opening it. “Oh but before I begin I have to tell you a bit more. If you still want to become a tamer I need to prepare you for the ritual. I will try to stretch your Navel a bit so the connection will fit inside it. Then the dragon will force the connection inside your body. I won’t lie it will hurt a lot and blood will flow but don’t worry I’m here to heal you and ease the pain a bit. If your dragon manage to get inside you will have an overwhelming feeling. Your mind will (for the first time) be directly connected to another body and to another mind. Your brain need some time to get used to that feeling. Therefore, after a bit of waiting the dragon will pump a liquid through the connection into your body. It will react to your magic and your personality and it gets colorized. After that…. well your dragon forces your body to vomit and you will threw up the liquid. The liquid should have the same color as your dragon. The closer the color the better you both match together. Your dragon then decides if he accepts you as a tamer. If he does than he will give you a few things, first a medicine that will heal your navel and make it more stretchable so you don’t feel the pain next time. Second, he will give you a seed with will grant you a new organ the so-called “blood organ” or “blood bag organ” or sometimes just called blood bag. Third thing he will give you is a bit from his own blood that will teach you the dragon language and the ability to communicate through your mind, called telepathy. He will also get some of your blood to be able to cast some spells but more on that later. So do you understand that?” he asked. “And what if he rejects me as a tamer?” I asked a bit feared. “Oh normally he would just pull his tip out of you and fly away, leaving you for dead because of the bleeding but don’t worry I will prevent that even if he rejects you” Mike said and he stroke my head a bit. “Ok… ok go ahead” I said looking at his fingers that he had dipped in the lube. “Try to relax” Mike said and he put one finger inside my navel. At first, it felt very strange but it didn’t hurt. Soon he put two fingers inside it and I was glad that we did this together. After some time Mike stopped “that should fit” he said. “Ready?” he asked me. “Do it” I said. He gently grabbed the tip of the dragon and he pulled it down. The connection was very flexible and was a bit like a tube or something. He placed it right on my navel. “On 3. 1…..2….3!” Mike said and the dragon pushed the tip in my navel. I instantly felt a really bad pain, I had to clench my teeth, and I groaned in pain. Tears started to form in my eyes and I saw blood spilling out of my navel. Mike healed the wound but it didn’t do much to ease my pain. I could handle the pain and I saw how the tip disappeared deeper and deeper in my navel. Minute after minute passed and finally…. his tip fully disappeared in my body and I felt it inside me. A feeling that I only can describe as overwhelming overcame me. At first, my body stretched itself and then suddenly my body cramped. The problem was that suddenly I couldn’t breathe anymore. I tried to inhale air but it didn’t work. “Max breath!” Mike said when he noticed it. He realized that I couldn't, he quickly pressed his lips on my own and he gave me air. A few seconds later, my body relaxed again and I took a deep breath through my nose. He broke away from my lips and he wiped his lips with his hand. “Are you ok?” he asked me worried. “I….I can see myself” I said because in my head I saw the vision from my dragon. I saw how he looked down at me and I felt his panting. “Good that’s absolute normal don’t worry. Just relax and try not to move” Mike said. We just relaxed for a few minutes. It felt so awesome, like a second body I felt everything that he felt. It was a fantastic feeling… well after the shock of cause. “So do you think you’re ready for the next step?” Mike asked me. “Yeah I think so” I said. “Good” Mike said but he grabbed my head and turned it on the side. “Your head needs to lay on the side or you’ll choke on the liquid” Mike explained. “Ok” I said and I heard that Mike spoke with the dragon. I felt that the dragon started to push something through the connection and I felt how it entered my body and my bloodstream. “Ahh” I yelped. “Relax, he gave you the liquid” Mike said and he stroke my head. Suddenly I felt that the dragon forced my body to vomit and I began to choke. Mike held my head when I threw up a mouth full of a strange liquid. I cough a lot but I threw up a second load. At this point, my body felt really exhausted and I was really tired. I closed my eyes even before I saw the color. “Hey that’s a perfect match!” I heard Mike saying. “Hey wake up, you can sleep soon but now you have to be awake!” Mike said when he saw that I closed my eyes. I slowly opened them again and now I saw that it was 100% the same color. The color of liquid that I threw up and the color of the dragon were identical. “Hey that’s really good…. now he only needs to decide” Mike said and we both looked at him. He just looked at me for a few seconds and after that, I felt something running down the connection and into my body. “He has accepted you!” Mike said loud in joy. I felt a little burn in my eyes and in the area around my navel. I turned my head towards the sky and I saw that Mike was right above me and he smiled at me. “A bit funny that I’m the only person that can see the creation of your dragon marking” He said smiling. “Dragon marking?” I asked confused. “You know.. The little hill like ring around your eyes that is in the same color as your dragon….. It matches your natural eye color very good” Mike said and I remembered. The dragon making or the dragon eyes are a special marking in the eyes of a tamer. Around the Iris, a ring is formed that looked like many little hills side by side. The ring had the color of the dragon and the “hills” grew when the tamer used dragon spells. It was a recognition sign of a tamer. Suddenly I felt a pull and the dragon pulls his connection out of my body. I saw how my navel closed itself without any blood or pain. “Finally I can talk with you” a voice in my head said and it made me jump. “That is probably your dragon. He is speaking with you through telepathy” Mike said. “Yes that's me. I know that you can hear me” the voice said. “Well now only one thing you should do…. name your dragon. Have you thought about a name for him?” Mike asked me. “I actually did…. Keto” I said to Mike and I looked at my dragon. Mike begun to laugh because he knew that it was an allusion to Kabe. Keto lowered his head down and he started to lick the side of my face to keep me awake. “Keto huh….. I like that name” Keto said I felt that he was smiling. “Well it is your decision and you have to arrange this with your dragon… just tell me later what his name is ok?” Mike said smiling. “He said that he liked the name” I said to Mike. “Well then…… I want to try something” Mike said and he stared in my eyes. “Yes we can talk via telepathy, too” Mike said in my head and I saw that his mouth didn’t moved. “Could we talk about that later…. I’m totally exhausted” I said. “Yeah sorry, I think we are done for today” Mike said. I saw that Mike looked up to the two dragons. “Keto is it ok for you if you stay with Kabe tonight? You aren’t marked so you can’t come closer to the city but this shouldn’t be a problem because Kabe knows some good places for you two to stay overnight” Mike said but I knew that he talked in the language of the dragons. I was now a tamer and so I could finally understand him. “If that is ok for you little Max” Keto said and he looked at me. “Shure” I said but my mouth didn’t made the usual movement and I knew that I have spoken my first words in dragon language. “Well then it is time to say good night” Mike said and he gave Kabe a little stroke. I stretched out my arm to try to do the same but I couldn’t. Keto kindly lowered his head again and now I could stroke his head a bit. He licked a final time over my face and the two dragons flew away. “So can you walk or do I have to carry you?” Mike asked a few seconds later. I smiled a bit and I looked at him in a special way “please carry me” I asked. Mike smiled, too and he began to pick me up. He was carrying me on his back, with one arm, he held my legs and with the other one, he held my arms. My chin rested on his shoulder and we began to walk to the city gates. I kinda loved how he carried me. It was the best position for me to sleep while he carried me. In the past he often had to carry me because I was young and the routes were long. Our chins touched each other and I slowly got tired. “Isn’t that a bit strange? You have blue eyes, a blue stripe on your cheek, a blue dragon and I am at group blue… coincidence?” Mike asked. “Either that or the writer really loves the color blue” I replied. “Yeah or that” Mike said and one minute later, I was sleeping on his shoulder…….\n \nAbout A minute later after I ask him that I heard a slowly, steady breathing in my ear and I noticed how lose his mussels were. “He’s sleeping” I thought happy. The Owner was still sitting on his chair behind the bar. “Ahh you seemed to have found him” the owner said quietly and smiling. “Yeah, he is a bit tired after all” I whispered happy. “Oh and am Sorry but could you do me a favor?” I asked him. “Shure” he replied. “Do you remember the owl that I have talked with?” I asked. “Oh I know Master Kyle” he said. “Oh even better. If he shows up please tell him that I found Max. I’m his brother Mike” I said to him and when I mentioned Max, I nodded in his direction. “Ahh ok, no problem” he said. “Thank you” I said with relief. We wished us a good night and I quietly made my way upstairs. “Take a left turn and its room number 14” I thought and I found the door. With magic, I got the key out of my pocket and I unlocked the door. I opened the door and the little key flew at my side. I put him on a table and quietly closed the door. A small fire in the fireplace lit and warmed up the room pretty well. The bed was a large single bed but it would fit us. In the past we always shared a bed so it didn’t bothered me that much. I began to undress Max’s armor and I carefully put him on the bed. After that, I undressed my own armor, too and I looked at Max. “My little 15 years old brother managed to tame a dragon…… unbelievable. Our parents would be so proud of you Max” I thought and I had to wipe off some tears in my eyes. “But on the other side I can’t say that I’m not worried” I thought myself. “But I’m too tired to really think about it” I thought myself. Therefore, I laid myself next to Max. I warped my arms around him and I cuddled a bit with him. “You better sleep well Max. the connection ritual

 
“Run Max, run for your life!” shouted one of my best friends Nick and we both did just that. Behind us were at least 100 darklings and 10 black dragons and they all wanted to kill us. Suddenly the reality seems to fold around us and Nick began to scream in panic. “They are using the reality gun! We are so dead!” he screamed. I looked behind us and saw that the dragons were close. I turned back and saw an endless cliff right ahead. “JUMP!!!!” Nick shouted and we both fell into the endless darkness of the cliff.
I woke up and I was confused. “Why is everything so dark? Where am I?” I asked myself but the memories came back to me. “Yeah right I slept with the dragon…… he folded his wings around me” I said. I casted a little light spell and now I could see his belly and his wings around me. The dragon really locked me up with his wings…. probably accidently. Right in this moment the dragon unfolded his wings and I saw his head. He looked down at me. My heart was beating like crazy and I was full of sweat because of the nightmare. I was shaking, too. “I’m sorry if I woke you up. It was just a nightmare” I said quietly and I shut of my light spell. The dragon just looked at me for a few seconds, and then he started to lick my fur again. “No stop, I’m full of sweat” I said while smiling. He seemed to notice it because even before I finished my warning he stopped and he shook his head in distaste. “Told ya” I said. He seems to forgive me because he rubbed his head against me and I stroke his head. It really calmed me down and I laid myself next to him. It was still in the middle of the night and I was still tired. I wrapped my arms around his belly and again I felt his really warm and comfortable body. I could hear his heartbeat and it was kinda relaxing for me. Again, the dragon fold his wings around me. “Maybe he wants protecting me with his wings?” I thought myself. Now it was dark again and I had to think about my nightmare. The darklings…… they were the enemies of every living being. Mike was fighting them together with many other people. It was the duty of every tamer to fight for our freedom. They had a horrible power….fear. Every creature that came close to them felt fear. Some of the darklings even ride black dragons. Only the bravest magicians and the tamers could fight them. The next problem was that they rarely fought alone, they always fight in groups and that is what made them so dangerous. They can also make slaves with their magic…. that is what happens to my parents. I was 6 years old when darklings attack our village were we lived. Only Mike and I escaped the attack. I remembered that day pretty well…..

“Mike!” my mother yelled. “Yeah?” I asked from my room that I shared with my little brother. “Could you please search your brother? And if you find him, tell him that dinner is ready” my mother asked. “Sure” I replied and I made my way down stairs. I had an idea were my brother was. I left the house and walked through our village. It was a bit dark but the moon enlightened the Village. It was a warm summer night and I went for the lake/river. It was like a lake but it had two rivers connected to it. One from the water source and one that was a waterway to the next village a few kilometers away. I stood on the shore when I saw my brother. He was still training his swim and diving skills. I smiled a bit and decided to jump into the water to get to my brother. I quickly dived to him and I scared him a bit when I grabbed him. “Hey little one, mom said that dinner is ready and I should get you home” I said while simultaneously wrapping my arms around his chest to hold him about the water. “Mike you scared the hell out of me” Max said shocked. “I’m sorry Max. But you're definitely getting better at swimming” I said. “Really?” he asked happy. I knew how to cheer him up. “Yeah of course” I said but now I begun to lay on my back to swim with him. I was aiming for the shore while holding him. He relaxed in my arms because now he did not need to do anything. I pulled us out of the water and we both made our way back home. Our house was in sight and we could see our mother in the doorframe. I had my hand on Max’s shoulder when suddenly we heard an explosion right behind us. We both jumped and I looked over my shoulder and I saw something horrible. A dragon that was darker than the night was destroying our main gate. I opened my mouth wide in shock and I was frozen for a second. There were more than just one dragon… they were many and fear started to spread in my entire body. I heard a scram and that freed me from my paralysis. I picked Max up and ran to our house. Adrenaline was pumping through my body so it was easy for me to carry Max. Now our father joined our mother at the doorframe. He was just as shocked as we were. Max and I were now with them. “Mike take Max and run! We have to defend to Village. Take the second gate” our father said but in this moment, the second gate exploded, too. The black dragons lit many building on fire + some of the streets. “RUN!!!” both of our parents shouted and I turned around with Max in my arms and I just ran for my life. Max saw how our parents opened a duel with a few fireballs. Suddenly I had a genius Idea. “Fire can’t hit us underwater! And the river leads us directly to the next village” I thought myself. I started running and our target was the lake but suddenly Max screamed in my arms. I turned around and saw why. The darklings and the black dragons kidnapped our parents. “NOOOOOOO” I screamed with tears in my eyes but I knew I would never stand a chance against them. I had magic powers but I wasn’t trained to use them, so I didn’t know how to cast spells. I saw how they have turned around and our eyes met. It was a moment of unbelievable pain but I closed my eyes, my teeth were clenched und tears were dripping down my cheek but I had to run. I turned away from our parents and I just ran with Max in my arms. At the lake waited another surprise for us. Five darkligns blocked the way and they came to kill us. “NO they can’t have Max” I screamed in my own head. I screamed and I stretched out an arm. My eyes glowed and a huge explosion ripped them into pieces. I knew that I had casted my first spell but I didn’t wasted a second thought about it and continued running. “MAX hold your breath!” I shouted to him. I looked at his eyes and I know that he was broken. His eyes didn’t moved at all and it seemed like he was barely breathing. His eyes and cheek were full of tears. He just looked behind us…. traumatized for his whole life. When I saw that I stopped, the lake was just a few steps away. “I can’t do it without him” I thought myself. “MAX please listen to me. We have to go, there is no way we can save them” I said to him but he didn't seem to hear me. His grip was very loose but I made a decision. His nostrils would close when we jump into the water. I took a very deep breath and I jumped. Right when I jumped I heard that Max also took a deep breath and I was unbelievable happy about it. I felt his grab tighten up and he seems to come back to me. We quickly dived to the main gate and the fire illuminated the water. He swam under the hatch that could be closed but luckily, it didn’t. After a few minutes, I felt that Max tipped me on my head and I looked to him. “It looks like he can’t hold his breath for much longer” I thought myself and I pressed my lips on his. I gave him some “fresh” air to breath. I filled his little lungs and he begun to help me swimming with his feet’s. After a few minutes, I pointed upwards because I needed air and we swam to the surface. We both inhaled instantly after we broke the surface of the water. After a few breaths, I looked behind us. I could see that we were far from safety and that the entire village was now on fire. I prevented Max from turning his head so that he couldn’t see the flames. “Hold it” I said to Max and we both again took a deep breath and continued our dive. After what could only be described as years of struggle, I saw the city gate of the next village. We were very close when we swam to the shore and we crawled out of the water. We were too exhausted to walk so I just dug my little claws in the dirt and I dragged Max and me further and further. “Hey what are…. oh my god” a voice said and I saw a little light above me. It seems like two guards have found us and they were right above us. “Gabe they are both children” one of them said in horror. I couldn't answer and I was heavy panting. I heard that Max was also panting and sometimes coughing a bit. The two guards picked us up and carried us to the gate. “Open the gate quick!” he shouted in the night. I saw that the gates opened and the two guards carried us inside. “Call a medic quick!” said the one that carried me. I felt the guard carefully placing me on a stretcher and Max laid right next to me. “Can you tell us what happened?” the guard asked me and now I could see his horrified face. “The darklings…… they attacked Luma” I said week. The two guards looked at each other in fear. The guard looked down at me again and he opened his mouth to say something but he closed it again and he looked at me in confusion. “Why are your eyes glowing?” he asked me. I was about to answer but something like a vacuum appeared in my body and drained all of my energy and I almost passed out. I turned my head to Max and I saw that he was sleeping. That was the last thing I saw because in the next moment I really passed out.
 
Just the memory was like a sword my heart and I began to shake again. The dragon seems to notice this because he began to stroke my belly gently and chest with one of his claws. I relaxed me “Mike would have done the same thing” I thought while relaxing. A few minutes passed and I slept again, leaned against the dragon's belly.
Next time I woke up was in the morning. A bit of sunlight was shining through the wings of the dragon and so I got up. I carefully moved the wings a bit to get out. I stood in the cave and looked around. Slowly I began to realize something…… “Fuck I have tamed a dragon! My god how did I do this? Dragons are known for killing many magicians that tried to tame them. There were definitely not friendly and sometimes they even attacked villages to get some food. I thought Mike was a special tamer because he tamed Kabe when he was 17 but I’m just 15! I even never heard of someone that young that tamed a dragon. Why me? I’m not even finished my training. I wasn’t a Mage…. I was just a student but the prove lays right in front of me. He allowed me to sleep with him and he is clearly protecting me” I thought and it felt really weird in my head. I had no logical explanation why he let me live and why he allowed me to tame him. In this moment, he woke up and he turned towards me. He caught me in the middle of my crisis. The dragon got up and he walked to me. He booped me with his nose and I stroke his head, still confused. “Well maybe I should ask him later” I thought and in this moment, something more important came to my mind. “Look I can’t stay here, I need to go. You don’t know the way to Rockfort do you?” I asked. However, to my surprise he nodded. “Wait… you know the way?” I asked again. He nodded again and I smiled. “Can you tell me the way?” I asked. He made a confusing face with a mix of yes and no. I just looked confused at him. He rolled with his eyes a bit and he kneeled in front of me. He looked like he wanted me to get on his back. “You want me to….” I said unsure. I slowly walked to his back but I had no idea how to get up there without hurting him. Suddenly he grabbed me with his mouth and he put me on his back. In the beginning, I was confused where I should hold on but I found a good spot so I laid myself on his back and begun to hold on. He unfold his wings and we flew away. I just couldn’t stop smiling because I was flying again and it felt soooo good. The landscape below us was so tiny but also so beautiful. I saw fields full of crop, forests with lots of trees and some cities or villages. At some point, I noticed that we were descending and I wondered why. Finally, I knew why…. The dragon aimed for a big river and he landed right in it. He folded his wings on his body and now we were swimming in the river. “I’m still stinking like hell. Maybe I should get a bath” I thought myself and I got up. The dragon watched me how I walked to the side of his body and I jumped head first into the water. During the jump, I almost lost my sword on my back. “Nonono you stay there” I thought underwater and I put it back on my back. I quickly noticed that the dragon was right behind me and that the river was quiet deep. I pointed down and I swam as fast as I could but hell…. If I thought that I could swim fast then that was nothing against the dragon. He was just as fast as the light itself but he also created a massive stream that pulls me down with him. I never thought that he is that fast. Now we both were very deep and I had to cast a light spell to see something. “Maybe it was not a river after all…. maybe more like a lake or a see” I thought myself but I know that I had to be careful because of my air. We were very deep and I didn’t like that. So I began to swim up…. back to the surface. I saw the dragon playing a bit with me because he swam around me and I only then remembered that he could breathe underwater. “Lucky you” I thought myself while swimming upwards. Suddenly I felt his teeth gently closing around my neck and he helped me swimming….. Or more like he carried me back to the surface. I gasped for air when we broke through the surface and the dragon let me go. “Sorry I can hold my breath for quite some time but I’m uncomfortable to be that deep” I explained to him. He nodded and he invited me back on his back. He had to dive because of his size. I climbed on his back and we swam to the shore. I started to dry my fur a bit. “Magic is practical” I said when I was done. I jumped off his back and I looked around me. I didn’t know where the hell I was but it didn’t bother me too much. I refilled all my water flasks and drank a bit of the water. After that, I sat down and thought a little bit. “I should send Mike a letter. He knows what to do with the dragon and if I really tamed him. I know there is a ritual of some kind but I have no idea how to perform it” I thought myself. Therefore, I searched my bag for some paper and a pen. I began to write a letter for Mike. After a few minutes, I was done and I send it to him with a spell. A sting flame appeared and my letter vanished. The dragon looked at me a bit confused. “I just wanted to send a letter, everything is fine” I said to him and he looked away. The little pause was longer then I have thought. In between, I also drank some of his milk and I still liked the taste. It was getting late, I climbed back on the dragon’s back, and we continued our journey to Rockfort. Hours past and I slowly getting tired. For some magical reason, there was no wind on the dragons back so the journey was very comfortable….. Yeah a bit cold but at least no wind in my ears. Finally, I could saw the city on the horizon. I smiled but something also crossed my mind. “OH wait you can’t come close to the city. You aren’t marked and they will open fire immediately!” I shouted to the dragon. He nodded and he flew on a much lower altitude. They shouldn’t see us coming and he would drop me of a few meters away. “Ok I think you should stop here” I said and he landed on the street. I could see the city gates in the distance but they can’t spot us here. “Thanks” I said a little undecided. I didn’t know what to do now… I didn’t wanted to send him away… but I couldn’t keep him with me. It was in this moment that I remembered that Mike was now maybe in the city. In my letter, I asked him to meet me at Rockfort and I knew that Mike was fast. “Ok wait here… maybe I have a solution” I said and he nodded. I quickly ran to the city gates. When I become visible to the guards, I stopped running because I didn’t want attention. I stopped at the gate and I laid my hands on them. “Don’t you want to say hello?” a voice asked and I turned around. There he was…. Mike stood a bit beside the road and I had completely overlooked him. Behind him was his dark green dragon Kabe. “MIKE” I shouted and I ran to him. He opened his arms and I jumped in his arms. Pure happiness flowed through my body and it was so good to see him again. The last time I saw him was about have a year and it definitely was too long. We both hugged us tightly and we smiled at each other. “Mike I have to tell you something” I said……

“So you are really going on vacation and leave us here Mike?” Nila asked me out of fun. “Oh come on don’t say it like that honey” I said while I packed a few things. “I’m just messing with ya. You have definitely earned your vacation” she said smiling and we kissed each other. “What have you planned for your vacation?” she asked. “Oh I don’t know….. The only thing that I really want is to see Max. I miss him really badly and to be honest it makes me sick that we haven’t met in like….. Half a year” I said. She sat herself behind me and she wrapped her arms around me. “I’m sure he is fine but I can totally understand that you want to meet him” she whispered in my ear and she stroke my chest a bit. “Oh and if you see him send him my greetings” she added. “No problem, I think he will be happy about that” I said smiling. In this moment, a sting flame appeared and I caught a letter. I looked at the sender. “Hey it is from Max” I said surprised. “Speaking of the devil” Nila said with a smile and I quickly unfolded the letter. “

“ahhh little Max…. I will always have time for you” I said with a smile. “He seems a bit confused. Well I think you have a meeting in Rockfort this evening” Nila said smiling and she gave me another kiss. “Yes I do” I said and I stood up. “I’ll better go now. Rockfort is close but maybe he is a bit early and it seems to be important. Sorry Honey but I have to go now” I said to Nila. “No problem” she said and we kissed each other. I shouldered my bag and went out. The base of team blue was a house with a stable on a hill. The base had a bedroom with 10 beds, a kitchen/meeting room and a workshop. The “stable” was the place for the dragons. There they could sleep, eat or just relax there. It seemed like it was vulnerable but it had some pretty tough shield spells on it and other magic as well. “Kabe, make yourself ready we are heading to Rockfort” I said to Kabe through telepathy. “To Rockfort?... that's not the first vacation location I had in mind” said Kabe. “No we are going to meet my little brother there” I said. “Mhhh you haven't seen him in a long time” Kabe said. “I know…. and I’m really happy that we will see him today” I said and we met outside. I climbed on his back but I turned around and saw that Nila stood in the doorframe. “Love you” I said to her. “I love you, too” she said and I gave Kabe the signal. We flew away from our base and right to Rockfort. After about an hour, we landed in front of the gates. I jumped from his back and I pet his head a bit. “I’m going to see if he is already here. It won’t take long” I said to Kabe. “Right and I look for him on the road” Kabe said. “Good idea thanks” I said and I turned towards the city gates. The guards opened the door and I went inside. Rockfort wasn’t a small town; it was more like a big city. The seats were busy and I saw many people here. To my surprise, the city was much fuller than I expected it. In addition to the normal small market stalls was now a variety of significantly more magnificent stalls. “Mhh did I missed something?” I thought. I went for the local inn. As soon as I entered, I noticed how full it was. Almost every chair was occupied and I saw many different species. They clearly aren't from around here and I was confused for a moment. I went to the owner and he turned towards me. “How can I help you sir?” he asked. “Hi I need a room for 2” I said. “One moment I’ll see if we have something left” He said to my surprise and he went into a side room. After about a minute, he came back to me. “Sorry we only have one single bed room left” he said apologizing. “Oh that's ok too, we can share a bed” I said. He gave me the key and I gave him some gold. “Oh no sir. Tamers don’t have to pay for a bed. We didn’t forget that you and your fellers are protecting us against many threats” the owner said. “Oh thank you” I said and I put the gold back into my pocket. I realized that I still wore my armor and my cape with the logo of group blue. “It’s right upstairs on the left side, room number 14” He said. “Thanks a lot…. sorry if I ask but why is it so busy here? I mean this isn’t normal right?” I asked him. “My good sir this is normal...at least for the Sunset Fest! This festival only occurs every 10 years. Many people come from near and far to celebrate it with us. Rockfort is the classical host for this festival. It is one of the biggest festivals I know” the owner said smiling. “Oh that actually explains a lot” I said while looking around. “Sorry…. one last question and after that I promise to don’t bother you anymore” I said apologizing. “No problem go ahead” he said. “Did you saw someone that look like me… or to be more precise someone with this light blue marking?” I ask and I pointed on my left cheek. It was our clan symbol…. now only Max and I had this on our cheeks. It was a little stripe of light blue color and it was dyed with magic. “Mhhh sorry but I didn’t see someone with that and I have a pretty good memory when it comes to faces. Sorry if I say it like that but a marking like that on your cheek, I would have remembered it” he said and he looked a bit worried. “Oh don’t worry he has announced himself for tonight. I just thought that maybe he was already here” I said to calm him down. “Oh ok” he said happy. “Mike?” a voice asked and I turned around. It was Master Kyle, my former and now Max’s master. Master Kyle was a somewhat old owl and he was very wise. “Oh Master Kyle good to see you” I said surprised. He sat himself besides me but he looked a bit worried. “Mike have you seen Max?” he asked me. “No I didn’t, I’m looking for him, too” I said. “Oh dammit. I’m sorry but I have to tell you that Max is probably lost somewhere. I accidently gave him the wrong map. I fear that he is lost somewhere in the wilderness” Kyle said. “Relax, he send me a letter a couple of hours ago and we wanted to meet us here. If that’s not relaxing you I promise I will look for him if he don’t show up until tomorrow morning” I said and I laid a hand on his shoulder. “Oh thanks Mike. *sight* you can’t believe how sorry I am for that. I just was one moment distracted and more worse is that I discovered my mistake far too late” he said. For a man that is very wise and normally very calm he now was pretty emotional. “as I said, don’t worry I’m sure he is fine” I said again and this time he calmed down. “Yeah you’re right…. I should calm down and have faith in him” he said. “Right you should do that” I said smiling. “Sorry I didn’t even said hello. How are you Mike?” he said now more like his normal self. “I want to be honest with you….. Pretty fucked. The Darklings are getting stronger and stronger. They have captured some tamers from the other groups. More and more mages turn against us every day…. and that are the people that we know turning on us. I think that the problem is far worse than we think it is. The problems don’t end there. The darklings seam to plan something big and we don’t know what it is” I whispered to him. “Oh that’s not good. Are you and Nila ok?” he asked silently. “Yes, fortunately we are both fine” I said. “Well thank god. Sorry but I have some things to do and I just wanted to see if Max showed up” Kyle said. “Oh no problem I think we are going to see us later anyway” I said. “Probably, bye” he said and he walked out of the Inn. “Hey Kabe did you find him?” I asked him. “No, unfortunately I haven’t found him yet” Kabe said. “Right then come back and I’ll meet you at the City gates” I said and I stood up. “See you there” Kabe said and I left the Inn. “I could go shopping a bit. Kabe need some time before he is at the gates” I thought and so I walked over the marketplace and I bought some stuff. After that, I walked out of the gates and I sat down a bit off the street. A few minutes later Kabe joined me and I leaned myself against his body. I stroke his head while waiting. It slowly went evening and I still waited. “I can see Max” Kabe said finally and a big stone fell of my heart. We both stood up and we waited. After about a minute later, I could see him but instead of greeting us, he walked straight to gates. I noticed that he looked tired but after all I heard from Kyle, I wasn’t surprised. “Don’t you want to say hello?” I said and Max turned around. “MIKE!” he shouted and he ran to me. I opened my arms and he jumped into them. When we hugged each other, I was very happy and I felt something warming my entire body. I missed him so much and finally we meet again but I noticed something strange. “Mike do you smell that?” Kabe asked me. “Yeah but I can’t tell you why my brother have a smell like dragon saliva on him” I said to him. Max of cause couldn’t hear us because I told Kabe that via telepathy. “Mike I have to tell you something” Max said and he looked at me. “What? That you were lost in the wilderness because Master Kyle gave you the wrong map?” I said smiling. “Wait what?... how do you know that?” he asked me surprised. “I met Kyle inside and he told me what happened. You can believe me if I’m saying that he is very very sorry about that” I said. “I knew it…. but that is not everything I wanted to tell you” Max said. “Well then tell me” I said. “.... I can’t or it is better to show it to you. Come with me and I will show you what I mean” Max said. I was a bit confused but I agreed. Kabe, Max and I walked a bit away from the city and I was really curious what he would show me. He took us to a little forest clearing. “Where is…..” Max said a bit worried. Something in my stomach told me that Max did something unbelievable but I tried to ignore it. Max stopped and he looked around. “Where is he?” Max said again. “Mike look to your left! Between the trees” Kabe suddenly said. I quickly turned around and I couldn’t believe what I saw. Hidden behind some bushes sat a little, dark blue dragon! Max followed my eyes and now he saw him, too. “There you are! Why are you hiding?” Max asked as if this would be the most usual thing on the world. “YOU DIDN’T!” I said to Max and I looked in shock at him. My mouth and eyes were wide open and I couldn’t believe it……
 
“YOU DIDN’T” said Mike to me and I saw how his eyes and mouth were wide open. “Yeah I kinda tamed a dragon…. or more like he didn’t kill me. I need to tell you the entire story” I said and I began to tell him everything…..
 
“not only that my 15 year old brother tamed a dragon all by himself… no you even drank his milk before you established your first connection…. but the circumstances justify the medium right?” Mike said. During my storytelling, the dragon came out of his hiding spot and he went behind me where I stroked him a bit. “Now I can fully understand your wish to see me in person” Mike said smiling. “But I need to warn ya. As a tamer, you have many duties and rules and it isn’t very relaxing. In addition, there are some things you have to do for your dragon, not only pay for food and shelter no….. There are other things that I can’t explain to you. Just believe me that it is everything but easy to be a tamer” Mike said seriously. “But I want to become a tamer…. just like you” I said and a glance of willpower was shining in my eyes. “If you really want it then swear to me. Swear that you want to become a tamer. That you will protect every single person of our world and that you would sacrifice your life if it would be necessary to save everyone else” Mike said. “I swear it” I replied seriously. “Right….. Nobody is allowed to see us” Mike said and we followed him deeper into the forest. We stopped on a huge stone that covered the ground. “Perfect…. lay down Max. Oh and you should take of that sword” Mike said. I gave my sword to Mike and I laid myself down on the stone ground. “Ok you need to trust me” Mike said. “Ok” I said a bit worried. Mike looked to the dragon and me begun to speak something in the dragon language. The dragon slowly came close and he positioned himself right above me. “Ok Max I’m going to explain a bit before we do it. Tamer and dragon have a physical connection. On your side it is your navel on the dragon’s side it is this here” he said and he began to spread the fourth body opening from the dragon. A pink tip appeared out of it and I heard the dragon that obviously didn't like it. Mike quickly said something in the dragon language most likely to calm him down. “You get the idea?” Mike asked me. I had an Idea but it was so… wrong. “No” I said worried. “*sight* this tube has to go into your navel. On this way, he enters your body and can pass you things like oxygen, food, water and pretty much everything and he has a physical connection to your nerves. If you’re both connected, you share your senses, for example your dragon smells something if you are connected you will smell it, too. This connection is the basic for every tamer, without it you can’t be trained” Mike said. I gulped and saw how thick the tip wars. “I don’t think it will fit” I said to Mike. “Mhhh let me see” Mike said and he stroke through my fur to find my navel. He put a finger in it and I gasped. “Relax Max… trust me. Mhhh you might be right. Maybe you are too young and your body can’t handle it” Mike said thoughtfully. “Maybe I can loosen it up a bit” Mike said and he opened his bag. He took a small box out of his bag. “What is that?” I asked. “Magical lube, it might help us” Mike said while opening it. “Oh but before I begin I have to tell you a bit more. If you still want to become a tamer I need to prepare you for the ritual. I will try to stretch your Navel a bit so the connection will fit inside it. Then the dragon will force the connection inside your body. I won’t lie it will hurt a lot and blood will flow but don’t worry I’m here to heal you and ease the pain a bit. If your dragon manage to get inside you will have an overwhelming feeling. Your mind will (for the first time) be directly connected to another body and to another mind. Your brain need some time to get used to that feeling. Therefore, after a bit of waiting the dragon will pump a liquid through the connection into your body. It will react to your magic and your personality and it gets colorized. After that…. well your dragon forces your body to vomit and you will threw up the liquid. The liquid should have the same color as your dragon. The closer the color the better you both match together. Your dragon then decides if he accepts you as a tamer. If he does than he will give you a few things, first a medicine that will heal your navel and make it more stretchable so you don’t feel the pain next time. Second, he will give you a seed with will grant you a new organ the so-called “blood organ” or “blood bag organ” or sometimes just called blood bag. Third thing he will give you is a bit from his own blood that will teach you the dragon language and the ability to communicate through your mind, called telepathy. He will also get some of your blood to be able to cast some spells but more on that later. So do you understand that?” he asked. “And what if he rejects me as a tamer?” I asked a bit feared. “Oh normally he would just pull his tip out of you and fly away, leaving you for dead because of the bleeding but don’t worry I will prevent that even if he rejects you” Mike said and he stroke my head a bit. “Ok… ok go ahead” I said looking at his fingers that he had dipped in the lube. “Try to relax” Mike said and he put one finger inside my navel. At first, it felt very strange but it didn’t hurt. Soon he put two fingers inside it and I was glad that we did this together. After some time Mike stopped “that should fit” he said. “Ready?” he asked me. “Do it” I said. He gently grabbed the tip of the dragon and he pulled it down. The connection was very flexible and was a bit like a tube or something. He placed it right on my navel. “On 3. 1…..2….3!” Mike said and the dragon pushed the tip in my navel. I instantly felt a really bad pain, I had to clench my teeth, and I groaned in pain. Tears started to form in my eyes and I saw blood spilling out of my navel. Mike healed the wound but it didn’t do much to ease my pain. I could handle the pain and I saw how the tip disappeared deeper and deeper in my navel. Minute after minute passed and finally…. his tip fully disappeared in my body and I felt it inside me. A feeling that I only can describe as overwhelming overcame me. At first, my body stretched itself and then suddenly my body cramped. The problem was that suddenly I couldn’t breathe anymore. I tried to inhale air but it didn’t work. “Max breath!” Mike said when he noticed it. He realized that I couldn't, he quickly pressed his lips on my own and he gave me air. A few seconds later, my body relaxed again and I took a deep breath through my nose. He broke away from my lips and he wiped his lips with his hand. “Are you ok?” he asked me worried. “I….I can see myself” I said because in my head I saw the vision from my dragon. I saw how he looked down at me and I felt his panting. “Good that’s absolute normal don’t worry. Just relax and try not to move” Mike said. We just relaxed for a few minutes. It felt so awesome, like a second body I felt everything that he felt. It was a fantastic feeling… well after the shock of cause. “So do you think you’re ready for the next step?” Mike asked me. “Yeah I think so” I said. “Good” Mike said but he grabbed my head and turned it on the side. “Your head needs to lay on the side or you’ll choke on the liquid” Mike explained. “Ok” I said and I heard that Mike spoke with the dragon. I felt that the dragon started to push something through the connection and I felt how it entered my body and my bloodstream. “Ahh” I yelped. “Relax, he gave you the liquid” Mike said and he stroke my head. Suddenly I felt that the dragon forced my body to vomit and I began to choke. Mike held my head when I threw up a mouth full of a strange liquid. I cough a lot but I threw up a second load. At this point, my body felt really exhausted and I was really tired. I closed my eyes even before I saw the color. “Hey that’s a perfect match!” I heard Mike saying. “Hey wake up, you can sleep soon but now you have to be awake!” Mike said when he saw that I closed my eyes. I slowly opened them again and now I saw that it was 100% the same color. The color of liquid that I threw up and the color of the dragon were identical. “Hey that’s really good…. now he only needs to decide” Mike said and we both looked at him. He just looked at me for a few seconds and after that, I felt something running down the connection and into my body. “He has accepted you!” Mike said loud in joy. I felt a little burn in my eyes and in the area around my navel. I turned my head towards the sky and I saw that Mike was right above me and he smiled at me. “A bit funny that I’m the only person that can see the creation of your dragon marking” He said smiling. “Dragon marking?” I asked confused. “You know.. The little hill like ring around your eyes that is in the same color as your dragon….. It matches your natural eye color very good” Mike said and I remembered. The dragon making or the dragon eyes are a special marking in the eyes of a tamer. Around the Iris, a ring is formed that looked like many little hills side by side. The ring had the color of the dragon and the “hills” grew when the tamer used dragon spells. It was a recognition sign of a tamer. Suddenly I felt a pull and the dragon pulls his connection out of my body. I saw how my navel closed itself without any blood or pain. “Finally I can talk with you” a voice in my head said and it made me jump. “That is probably your dragon. He is speaking with you through telepathy” Mike said. “Yes that's me. I know that you can hear me” the voice said. “Well now only one thing you should do…. name your dragon. Have you thought about a name for him?” Mike asked me. “I actually did…. Keto” I said to Mike and I looked at my dragon. Mike begun to laugh because he knew that it was an allusion to Kabe. Keto lowered his head down and he started to lick the side of my face to keep me awake. “Keto huh….. I like that name” Keto said I felt that he was smiling. “Well it is your decision and you have to arrange this with your dragon… just tell me later what his name is ok?” Mike said smiling. “He said that he liked the name” I said to Mike. “Well then…… I want to try something” Mike said and he stared in my eyes. “Yes we can talk via telepathy, too” Mike said in my head and I saw that his mouth didn’t moved. “Could we talk about that later…. I’m totally exhausted” I said.  “Yeah sorry, I think we are done for today” Mike said. I saw that Mike looked up to the two dragons. “Keto is it ok for you if you stay with Kabe tonight? You aren’t marked so you can’t come closer to the city but this shouldn’t be a problem because Kabe knows some good places for you two to stay overnight” Mike said but I knew that he talked in the language of the dragons. I was now a tamer and so I could finally understand him. “If that is ok for you little Max” Keto said and he looked at me. “Shure” I said but my mouth didn’t made the usual movement and I knew that I have spoken my first words in dragon language. “Well then it is time to say good night” Mike said and he gave Kabe a little stroke. I stretched out my arm to try to do the same but I couldn’t. Keto kindly lowered his head again and now I could stroke his head a bit. He licked a final time over my face and the two dragons flew away. “So can you walk or do I have to carry you?” Mike asked a few seconds later. I smiled a bit and I looked at him in a special way “please carry me” I asked. Mike smiled, too and he began to pick me up. He was carrying me on his back, with one arm, he held my legs and with the other one, he held my arms. My chin rested on his shoulder and we began to walk to the city gates. I kinda loved how he carried me. It was the best position for me to sleep while he carried me. In the past he often had to carry me because I was young and the routes were long. Our chins touched each other and I slowly got tired. “Isn’t that a bit strange? You have blue eyes, a blue stripe on your cheek, a blue dragon and I am at group blue… coincidence?” Mike asked. “Either that or the writer really loves the color blue” I replied. “Yeah or that” Mike said and one minute later, I was sleeping on his shoulder…….
 
About A minute later after I ask him that I heard a slowly, steady breathing in my ear and I noticed how lose his mussels were. “He’s sleeping” I thought happy. When we approaching the gates and the guards opened the door and I went inside with the sleeping Max on my back. The streets now were empty because it was nighttime. I went to the Inn and it was empty with one exception. The Owner was still sitting on his chair behind the bar. “Ahh you seemed to have found him” the owner said quietly and smiling. “Yeah, he is a bit tired after all” I whispered happy. “Oh and am Sorry but could you do me a favor?” I asked him. “Shure” he replied. “Do you remember the owl that I have talked with?” I asked. “Oh I know Master Kyle” he said. “Oh even better. If he shows up please tell him that I found Max. I’m his brother Mike” I said to him and when I mentioned Max, I nodded in his direction. “Ahh ok, no problem” he said. “Thank you” I said with relief. We wished us a good night and I quietly made my way upstairs. “Take a left turn and its room number 14” I thought and I found the door. With magic, I got the key out of my pocket and I unlocked the door. I opened the door and the little key flew at my side. I put him on a table and quietly closed the door. A small fire in the fireplace lit and warmed up the room pretty well. The bed was a large single bed but it would fit us. In the past we always shared a bed so it didn’t bothered me that much. I began to undress Max’s armor and I carefully put him on the bed. After that, I undressed my own armor, too and I looked at Max. “My little 15 years old brother managed to tame a dragon…… unbelievable. Our parents would be so proud of you Max” I thought and I had to wipe off some tears in my eyes. “But on the other side I can’t say that I’m not worried” I thought myself. “But I’m too tired to really think about it” I thought myself. Therefore, I laid myself next to Max. I warped my arms around him and I cuddled a bit with him. “You better sleep well Max. Tomorrow we will have a lot of training to do” I wisped more to myself then really to Max and I closed my eyes to sleep.
