His mother died when he was very young and he didn't understand this, so he spent many years of his life trying to find her and thinking they just got separated. But, just like me, Kitsu grew up eventually. He understood that his mother was gone, and cherishes the time he had with her.\n\nThis image is close to me because it represents moving on, and knowing that the hard times pass and things get better. In Kitsu's story, \"A Fox Tale\" his mother is murdered and he is passed from one home to another, kept as a pet, a slave, and even used to train guard dogs. He went through hell, and came out strong. While we don't go through slavery and being a pet and being dog bait daily, we as humans all have our own uphill struggle that we face on a daily basis.
