"writing": "By Necessity: Basics\n\nBy TerraMGP\n\n\tTake it slow. They both agreed on that. It was the first thing Dr. Naomi had outlined after Brinna had finally made it clear she could not be dissuaded. They had time. They had to learn about each other again. Or maybe do so for the first time. If it all went well it would mean that she and her Sir would have their whole lives together. If not, well better to learn now.\n\n\tThat meant a few things. First was no sex. Not in the literal sense anyways. Brinna had never really `done it' before, odd as that felt to say considering how people on the spires tended to live. Virgins were something of a commodity to be sure and all, but for her it'd simply been the social anxiety.\n\n\tSecond, they both agreed that she wasn't moving in any time soon. There were about fifty reasons she could think of for that to end badly right off the top of her head. Her family would be afforded certain protections. Yet, for now at least, that was where it stopped. She wasn't going to `owe' him. She would find out if Sean was the man he pretended to be as Gene, and if he really was interested in her as, well as something. She still didn't know what. She just knew she wanted to find out.\n\n\tThere were other rules too. Brinna was tempted to make it a nice orderly list. Something to codify their little romance properly. For now though it was just a nice little bit of fluff to focus on while she made her way out of the lift and on to the platform. A way to shut out as much of the other people who crashed in and out of the lift car while moving out to the confusing set of stairs and escalators which made up the station. Founders station. The hub for public transportation, and access way to founders plaza.\n\n\tIt almost seemed counter-intuitive for a second first date. The place was huge and bright and colorful. Even with about six ad filters it was a sea of invasive lights and shapes both real and projected all screaming for her attention. And people. So many people. It was a wonder that they could all be gathered like this. Hustling and bustling without smashing into each other. Flowing in nice orderly lines like schools of fish swarming whatever shop seemed to catch their particular fancy. It would almost be nice if there weren't so many of them.\n\n\tShe just had to make it to the center. The nice round open cylinder that was all but iconic in every shopping center. Only this one was bigger, befitting the largest and most opulent center on the station. The place where commerce and the real seats of power rested. Where every subsidiary and every foreign power sought to demonstrate their latest and greatest to the fine citizens of Yggdrasil.\n\n\tIt was the place where Hulfbert stood.\n\n\tBrinna tried to keep her eyes on the object. She let her HUD and positioning system keep her mostly on track while inching her way through the crowds and kept her eyes focused on the bright filigree and well cared for plates of the massive thing. It was her best way to get though. Just locking herself on to it, onto the large carefully sculpted chest plate of the oversized walker and letting her senses drown slowly in the warbling soprano and sharp riffs from one of the cheesy throw away ballads from a band only she seemed to listen to.\n\n\tIt wasn't a perfect solution. Probably not even a `healthy' solution. It worked. The crowds starting to part as she moved closer and closer. Until finally the iconic war machine filled her eyes. Leaving the sight of an all too familiar figure standing under it. The Dormouse stopped herself a few meters away. Just staring at him. Looking at the thick, soft, yet strong body as it hunched over the railing looking up at the thing. The hair pulled back in a ponytail, The slow swell of his shoulders as he leaned his weight on them. A kind of quiet, subdued power she'd come to find inescapable. The soft shag of his fur off of his arms. That oddly alluring ass. She bit a big bucked tooth over her lip ring as she realized she was just standing there staring. Golly, she was a horrible perv.\n\n\t``S-sir?'' she asked as she took a step out into the small gap between them. Nearly getting knocked over by some otter lady who clearly wasn't paying attention. It was almost enough to make her back off. But she stood her ground.\n\n\tSean turned. His smile growing quite quickly as he saw her. Without warning the rodent found herself scooped up in his arms and spun hard. Those bright blue eyes locking on to hers as he laughed and squeezed her firmly. When she was finally set down Brinna felt a bit dizzy. All she could do was let herself slump helplessly against the warmth and stability of her Sir. Which ultimately was just where she wanted to be.\n\n\t``You know I could have sent a car for you.'' Sean said softly.\n\n\t``I know, Sir'' she muttered ``I'm sorry. But Dr. Naomi thinks it's best if I do this myself. I need to get better at socializing in places where I'm not comfortable.''\n\n\t``Yeah, well don't fret over it on my account.'' he laughed.\n\n\tShe just looked up at him and sighed. His eyes. Those big, clear blue eyes welling up with tears. A big dopy grin painted on the mans face. Brinna could feel her legs trembling. Her chest started to heave. Every muscle in her body slowly losing awareness of itself as she all but collapsed into his arms.\n\n\tThe tears came quickly. A flow of blubbering chokes and sobs. Not the soft delicate ones she imagined so often in those stories she read. Hard, savage snotty blubbering that started to break from her uncontrollably. The most awkward and embarrassing sounds rushing though her throat as she slammed her forehead against his chest in an effort to hide, quickly staining the admittedly cheap 'Aeon Blade' Tee shirt he was sporting. She couldn't think about that, though. All she could do was blubber and sob as she gripped at his shirt. Soon feeling the familiar strength of his paw stroking her hair. Another drug she'd tasted all too briefly before things fell apart.\n\n\t``Shh, It's ok, little one. It's ok. I promise'' he said as his own baritone voice started to crack. She could feel his heart, his breath. Feel how hard he was fighting just to keep it together for her. Stroking her hair as he had before. Echoes of the few brief touches they shared in the weeks before flooding back to her.\n\n\tBrinna sobbed out another little laugh and winced, looking up and blinking her now bloodshot eyes. She opened her mouth to speak. Nothing came. Nothing fit. She just let out another small sob. Gazing into his eyes as Sean leaned down and placed a tender, trembling kiss on her forehead.\n\n--------------------\n\n\t``So will you tell me what the date is going to be now, Sir? I mean now that' I'm here?'' Brinna asked with an eager little yelp.\n\n\tThe dormouse hung off his arm like a barnacle. Her face was still stained a bit from her beautiful little breakdown. She still looked beautiful to him, though. Plus, the bear had to imagine he didn't look too hot himself. This stoicism crap was harder than it looked. ``Beyond the fact that it's walking distance? No, pet. Now come on, you should know better. It's like, a couple kilometers walk. If I tell you right now it'd spoil the surprise.''\n\n\t``I know'' she drew the word out as her head slumped softly ``But I'm still gonna be curious the whole way, darn it. I've been trying to settle down ever since you made the offer.''\n\n\t``You say that as if I gave you a choice.'' Sean laughed. Naturally she had a choice. She had every choice in the world. That neck of hers was bare after all. He looked at it for a moment, and then pulled her closer. Never wanting to let her slip away again. They spoke quietly to each other as Sean led his girl out of the shopping area and out into the relative open air. He'd been off station before. Hell he'd been on real, habitable worlds before. The contrast between `outside' here under the domes and seals versus the feeling of being under a real sky was light night and day. Yet at that moment as they stepped away from the shop walk and out on to the walkway which housed the park he felt as free and as energized as he had stepping foot on those nearly uncharted worlds.\n\n\t``You know I'm kind of glad we put down some ground rules to this.'' Sean said as he led her down the big open walkway. It was one he'd trod many times before. Brinna had, too. At leas since the breakup. He wondered if, in this state, she'd notice how many people were lazily moving along the same pathway.\n\n\tShe looked up at him with a bit of shock and tilted her head. ``You are, Sir? I mean I was kind of worried you'd be upset or something.''\n\n\t``Really?'' Sean asked ``Whysat?''\n\n\t``Well I mean, let's be honest. Dictating terms, setting conditions. No sex? I mean, not that I mind, naturally, Sir.'' A blatant, horrible, bold faced and underlined lie. Written like runes in the deep blush and popping freckles of her cheeks. ``But even if it was Dr. Naomi's recommendation It feels wrong barring you from your property this way.''\n\n\tSean smirked a little at that and shook his head ``No sex with you, my little gem'' he corrected ``and yeah it won't be easy. But I think giving each other a nice, long, slow period of readjustment is probably going to be the healthiest thing in the long term, right?'' He asked.\n\n\tBrinna slumped down a bit and hid her face. ``I walked right into that one, didn't I Sir?'' she muttered. Much of what he said seeming to slip some wind out of her sails.\n\n\tSean smirked, leaned down, and kissed the crown of her head. ``Besides, the point of these rules is to pull the superficial stuff away and see who we really are, right? That's why I didn't greet you with a new model kit or a replacement bed or''\n\n\t``Or a makeover?'' she asked as she tilted her head.\n\n\t``Why the damn makeovers?'' Sean quirked his brow.\n\n\tBrinna looked down a bit and shook her head. ``I unno. That's what you're supposed to do, right?''\n\n\tHe really didn't know if she was joking or not. It didn't matter. Sean pulled his pet in close and just nosed at her ear softly. ``Why do you keep thinking about changing?'' he asked\n\n\t``To please you, Sir.'' she said with a shy bluntness.\n\n\t``Don't.'' He smirked ``I like you just the way you are.''\n\n\tThe couple just kept walking down the path as it rolled over one of the carefully planned artificial hills. They'd exchange a few words now and then, but much of it was simply snuggling and feeling each other being close. It was a feeling both Sean and Brinna missed, and couldn't hide that longing from the other if they wished to.\n\n\tThey stopped only a moment. A small stand set up at the side of the path as it arced over the artificial hill. Sean was rather coy about it as he paid for and shouldered a cheap printed canvas bag full of... stuff. It was all but impossible to tell just what. The bags all housed behind the stand counter and the stand lacking any sort of physical markings.\n\n\t``So, get any clues now?'' Sean laughed\n\n\t``No'' Brinna pouted.\n\n\t``Wait, what? Why not?'' Sean tilted his head\n\n\t``I think my filter programs blocked the sign'' she muttered softly ``It kinda takes a ton of filtering for me to not get overwhelmed, Sir.'' She confessed ``Sometimes it blocks things I might want to see along with the rest.''\n\n\tSean didn't seem too upset by this fact at the moment. The bear actually growing a spring in his step. An admittedly odd sight to see. One that also did very little for Brinnas anxiety.\n\n\tThe answer didn't really clear itself up until the two crested the hill. A large section of field had people sitting around on blankets or cheap travel chairs. An odd crowd, skewing young even by Brinnas standards and full of people in the sort of `wealthy casual' which made the little Class III feel even more out of place. She latched tighter to every square inch of Sean that she could. Her Sir smirked, and it became quite clear he had no qualms with her predicament.\n\n\tSean waded through the crowd with Brinna all but dragged along. It was an orderly sort of chaos. Blankets and quilts laying at all angles on the grass. People with an array of food and drink. All of them facing a nice big shell structure that had been assembled a short ways away. \n\n\tBrinna was sure she could see people dressed in nice suits and dresses sitting in the bowl. All shuffling to their positions or milling about. Most of them holding old style instruments. Violins, Oboes, synthesizers. Not to mention woodwinds. So many woodwinds.\n\n\t``Mind helping me, Pet?'' Sean pulled a tightly bundled quilt lined trimmed in a nice robins egg blue from the bag. He unfurled it and nodded to the other end. Brinna fumbled as she pulled it over and helped spread their apparent seat for the night as best she could. She smoothed her half out to an almost obsessive degree and then quickly undid her boots before pulling the striped stocking feet up onto the blanket proper while leaving the shoes just off to the side. Eye glancing at them nervously.\n\n\t``You know you didn't have to take those off.'' Sean sighed as he pulled her close.\n\n\t``YesSir'' Brinna nodded with a sigh ``I just didn't want to mess up this nice blanket you bought. I figured it'd get like, grass stains on it or something. No sense letting it go to waste.''\n\n\tThe bear paused for a moment. As if the thought had not even crossed his mind before. Then he nodded, and sighed. ``I suppose not, pet. That is smart thinking on your part.''\n\n\tShe nodded softly and scotched a bit closer. The poor dormouse straining and craning her neck to see just what as going on. ``So, our second fist date is a concert, sir?'' She asked as she struggled to find a comfortable spot.\n\n\t``You'll see, little one.'' He murred confidently\n\n\t``Kinda feels like that's a running theme, Sir. Like, you know, you don't wish to give me any spoilers about what you have planned.'' She shot him an exaggerated pout, which didn't seem to register much more than her normal one. Naturally this ever so slightly tweaked pout did exactly nothing to weaken his resolve. The bear simply pulling her in closer and nuzzling his cheek into her a moment\n\n\t``You're cute.'' Sean chuckled\n\n\t``I am not. I'm a strong, confident... yes Sir.'' She sighed as Brinna flopped against him.\n\n\tThey watched as the holo displays fired up. As the band started. Bright, shimmering rays of light cutting though the growing dusklgiht of the rotating station. A few small bits of low stir from the heavier strings. An oddly familiar tone. One that stirred with the shivering lights and was soon joined by the fluttering of clarinets.\n\n\t``Starlight Soldier Brigid?'' She asked in disbelief. It was the same theme. Rewritten in a very different manner and with very different instrumentation. But inescapable all the same. Her eyes widening in joyful shock.\n\n\t``When you see a play bill that serendipitous, it just demands this kind of treatment.'' Sean chuckled. He said nothing more. Leaning up against her and holding her close as the band started to rise for the crashing chorus of the song.\n\n\tBrinna lay back in awe. Instruments, live instruments. Not just the occasional kid who saved up and got some custom, low quality semi-analogue interment printed up either. Holo projectors behind the shell started to form images, swirling ships and dog fights from the series captured in beautiful full displays unmatched even by the few times Brinna had fully jacked herself into the network\n\n\tThat wasn't what drew her attention, though. She was fixated on the men and women on stage. A mix of people lined up by instrument and playing out clear, concise notes that somehow felt warmer and stronger than what even the best quality headphones could ever produce. Her keen ears picked up on small bits of it. Notes of embellishment and exaggeration. Flaws and catches. Rainbows of color streaking out from the sides of the stage as the grand cartoon battles spread out overhead. She glanced at them sometimes. Sometimes at the orchestra. But for much of it she just listened. HUD off, Jack set to record, for what little good that would do. But overall simply letting herself bask in the sound. Her hands half resting on the plush quilt, half in the grass, gripping at the strands of plant matter.\n\n\tShe felt Seans hand wrap over hers. Squeezing it tightly. For a moment things all made sense.\n\n\tTime seemed to slip out of her grasp for a moment after that. Brinna found herself dazed and lost in the sensation of the moment. She could pick out the properties for each new song. Monster Pens, Aeon Blade, Even a shockingly playful and complex take on the `Rati Returns' theme. By the time Brinna came up for air from the sea of music she found that the station had almost totally slipped into its night cycle. The intermission seeing people stir and stretch and converse while the holograms flashed images from the previous songs on repeat.\n\n\tThe dormouse looked over to see Sean pulling a small container out of the bag that had the blanket. He popped it open and withdrew a smaller container, that one holding an array of cheese cubes stacked and ordered. This was followed by another with what looked to be various crackers partitioned out, and a small set of cold cuts. Next came a small container of chicken, another tray this time with a selection of cheesecake bites, and a couple cans of `Ol' Olaf's honey soda'.\n\n\t``What, no mead, Sir?'' Brinna asked teasingly, or as teasingly as she could given both her usual skills at sarcasm and the utter shock at the food presented.\n\n\t``No, no mead. Not for like, a long time. A very long time.'' Sean groaned\n\n\t``I didn't... never mind, Sir.'' she sighed as she lay against him. She looked up at him for permission. The big bear seeming just bemused by it, before selecting one of the crackers, a salami slice, and then a cube of cheddar. She popped the bite in her mouth casually, and then stiffened up a bit. Gasping as she slowed her chewing and let the flavors melt in her mouth. ``Mmm it... wow. Sir, this is... Mmmph this is amazing!'' She gasped. I've never tasted anything like this before!''\n\n\t``Well I mean, yeah'' Sean chuckled. ``No offense my pet but you do realize the food printers for petty much anything in Class III sections of the station are more or less just printing off the same ten compounds and maybe like, ten flavor cartages, right?'' he laughed. ``They're not going to sell a premade picnic package using that stuff when the tickets themselves were like, fifty'' he shrugged. Admittedly, he had bought a class I package regardless, so odds were good half of the food was in fact real. One of the few ways people outside of his income bracket could afford 'real' food. But since he had no idea which would or wouldn't be well printed or farm raised Sean felt no need to specify it. Besides, 'real' cheese might count as spoiling.\n\n\tThe two talked and laughed as they nestled close. Brinna gushing over the music and finding ways to steer the conversation to her favorite episodes. Sean let her, he also let her hog almost all of the cheesecake, too. Not quite all. He lay claim to half of the mint chocolate cubes right away and proceeded to greedily munch two just to show he could. Then again she let him have most of the chicken. It seemed like more than a fair trade. \n\n\tAfter a few long moments Brinna finally looked up from yet another cheese and cracker concoction. She nestled her cheek into his shoulder fur a bit and glanced up at him nervously while letting a half nibbled bit of cracker slip down her throat. ``Sir, I do kinda have to ask.'' Brinna muttered even as she reached up to tug at her little scrap metal charm again. ``That whole thing about setting up foundations and everything. Oh god I shouldn't even be asking this.'' She sighed as she pulled her knees up to her chest again and shrank herself down as much as she could. Ears folded back as she gave him a sideways glance. ``Did that, did that have anything to do with me? Gahh. No, never mind. Forget I mentioned it. Darn it that was a stupid question.'' She yelped burying her face between her knees and blushing furiously.\n\n\tSean smirked and ran a hand along her hair, letting his pet simply ride the nervous little spasm. ``What, no. Well, not really. I mean kinda. Sorta. I mean, look'' he sighed ``I'd pretty much accepted I blew the fuck out of this whole thing with you after you threw your collar back in my face. And I'll admit I got a bit obsessive. I'm pretty sure my maids had to burn the bed sheets.'' He chuckled and grinned down at her, pulling the little bundle of nerves up into his side and murring softly. He could feel her start to melt against him.\n\n\t``But yeah self pity over losing you and that unhealthy bit of fixation on you that your doc seems so up in arms about, well it got me thinking. I remembered you'd mentioned going to some after school science programs. So I looked into them. They were, well they were kinda crap to be honest.''\n\n\t``H-hey...'' Brinna muttered as she looked up as angrily as she could given her position and overwhelmed senses. ``I really liked those!''\n\n\t``That's because my little gem is smart. Probably would have been in the Accel program if it scanned that low. Which is kind of the problem too. I only dug her up because of bored little slaves trying to meddle in my low grade depressive self medication and a huge amount of luck. So how many kids, how many people in general, are sitting around as wasted potential? Hell I know for a fact that subsidiaries will often dump half their broken tools or large stores of surplus parts on those kinds of training programs just to get a write off.''\n\n\t``Yeah, I kinda heard about that.'' Brinna muttered ``So you, you think I'd have done better with a better program?'' the mouse muttered as she sighed and slumped a bit harder, her ears folded back firmly as she tried to let her stress just bleed off in the safe embrace.\n\n\t``You have mountains of potential for just about anything you want, my dearest. Though short term that's going to be a bit hard to deal with. What with my hands being tied about how much I can spoil you.'' he laughed ``And for the record, the concert doesn't count. I would have come to this regardless. I'm just... I'm glad I get to share it with you.''\n\n\tShe blushed hard and nodded, hugging her legs a bit harder and slumping her shoulders as the stunned girl sighed and nuzzled into the warm soft flannel shirt and let herself get lost in his breathing. ``I am too, Sir.''\n\n\tThe band started to warm up after intermission. Brinna quickly snuggling back up against him and yawning as the lights and projectors blinking on in preparation for the second half.\n\n--------------------\n\n\tBrinna as still finding it hard not to jitter with excitement. Her hand was shaking a bit. The one she had to keep free to carry the bag anyways. Her Sir had graciously said that she could keep the blanket, after a single, perhaps over-enthusiastic request.\n\n\tThey rambled along one of the walkways. It was hard to tell which one. Street lights in the park were almost non-existent and confined largely to the main path. City lights from buildings around them and even the large building this park was built on seemed to help keep some level of illumination while the station was turned from its star.\n\n\t``That was really nice, Sir.'' Brinna muttered contently as she shut her eyes and sighed.\n\n\t``Glad you liked it.'' He chuckled ``Kinda makes me wish I didn't have so much on my plate the next week. I still have a chance to spoil you saved up after all, right?''\n\n\tBrinna blushed and bit her lip hard. She nodded the most embarrassed little nod and shut her eyes tight just leaning up against him. ``Well you know, you don't have to spoil me every week either, Sir. It's not like I don't already feel special.''\n\n\t``You are special, my little gem.'' Sean chuckled ``I'm just lucky I found you. All I demand is that you remain you. Something I'd hope you can accomplish fairly easily.''\n\n\tShe nodded softly and pushed up against him as best she could. The Dormouse struggling to lean up hard. Sean smirked, chuckled, then leaned down enough for her to kiss his cheek. ``I don't think I'll have any issue obeying that one, Sir. I may revere her, but I'm not exactly Brigid.''\n\n\t``The Tuatha or the hapless Drassi field support girl turned Alien tech infused mech pilot?'' He laughed\n\n\t``Either, both. I donno.'' She whined as she hid her face a bit and slumped\n\n\tSean sighed and shook his head softly. ``I think you're cuter than both. Though you strike me more like Eimhaer. My own little Eimhaer.'' He said with a small grin ``And one I was lucky to find well after that whole geas breaking early death crap would have happened.'' The bear grinned proudly to himself. He let out a small sigh and just felt how good the girl was near him. His girl. It wasn't like there weren't others he could make that claim about. Or even that he somehow didn't care for the girls, and boys, he owned. But that was just as a Master. As an owner. This? He didn't dare put a label on what this was.\n\n\t``Was, was that Gaelic?'' She asked with a bit of a blush.\n\n\t``Sea, mo cheann deas.'' He murred.\n\n\t``I... Don't actually speak Gaelic, Sir'' she whined as the poor brown furred girl tried to hide her blushing face once more.\n\n\tHe stopped and looked down at her. Sean pulled the girl around before him and hooked his finger under her muzzle. He guided gaze up and looked into those beautiful eyes. Her bright shining orbs with the deep browns and streaks of green mixed with copper. The bear looked down at the helpless, enraptured thing before him. Saying nothing. Doing nothing. Letting the world around them grind to a halt. Demanding it stop, willing it stop, just for them.\n\n\t``Ni rachaidh mi in iul duit, comhalanaigh tu dom cailin daor. Beidh me mar do charraig agus do dhidean as an saol seo. Beidh tu mar mo sholas agos mo stor is luachmhaire. Beidh tu ar mo thaobh mo la ar fad. Beidh me ad siul le cuspoir nua le mo gheag beag i mo shaol.''\n\n\tBrinna folded her ears back and whined loudly. Her body shivering and shaking as she listened to the words. Her chest heaving. Her knees weak. She could barely keep herself standing as it was. Ears folded back hard. Staring up dumbfounded in the cool wad sea of his eyes. If she could only sink, get lost into those eyes. Fall into them forever. Her heart aching and ready to burst\n\n\t``Is brea liom tu, doar.'' He whispered\n\n\t``W-what?'' She asked nervously as Brinna struggled to stay on her feet.\n\n\t``Do you trust me, slave?'' He said. Louder, more authoritative.\n\n\tBrinna bit her lip and put her arms firmly behind her back. Clasping her wrists together. She stood up rail straight with her knees locked. Tilting her chin up and looking her Sir in the eyes. She tried like hell to steady her breathing. Feeling her heart flutter as she took, or rather improvised, the best `slave' position she could imagine. ``This one trusts you, my Lord'' she squeaked out. The words feeling so odd. Metal-rigid and yet so very small on her lips. All but dying in her throat.\n\n\t``Are you sure, girl? Do not say so unless you are absolutely sure.'' He said sternly\n\n\tBrinna nodded. She took it seriously. She took slow, shivering breaths. There was still fear. Still that lingering seed of doubt. Nothing rational. Nothing she could really quantify. The lies hurt. The loneliness hurt. In spite of the doctors best efforts she was far from over it all. Unable to take cabs and giving any unnecessary security check a wide birth. It would be a lie to say he wasn't part of that. `Gene'. The lie that meant she didn't know who he was. Couldn't' trust him. She looked into those eyes still worried, still terrified she didn't. wondering what else he hid. Wondering how she could trust him. If she could trust him. Her mind racing and rushing as she tried to reconcile her years of reading dirty stories with the all but unknown reality and struggled to forge some bridge of logic between the two. Try as she might the poor girl couldn't assuage every shred of that fear.\n\n\tYet at the same time, she wanted this. Not the money, or titles, or cushy life. Not the power by proxy. She looked into his eyes. Looked so deeply. Whatever indescribable things she knew she saw. She wanted it.\n\n\t``Yes Sir.'' she said plainly\n\n\tBrinna watched nervously as she held position. His arm raising slowly and deliberately. She felt his thick paw slip with smooth effortlessness around her slender neck. His hands oddly rough and dry. The bristly fur weaving into her own short downy neck furs as he seemed to seat his palm at her throat. He kept it there for a long moment. Eyes still locked on hers. His fingers were open. The thought occurred to her to run. Not even a thought really. That churning, roiling feeling in her gut as she felt every breath squeeze against the thick pad of his hand and her neck flesh brush and bristle with each swelling gasp.\n\n\tShe could pull out and run. She wanted to. Desperately if she was being honest. Her heart thudded that much harder. Her toes curled. Brinna tried so hard to keep herself together and in check. She struggled to keep her mind focused. It was the `prey reflex'. They covered it in school ages ago. The idea that prey had far stronger flight responses. That weaker species would feel the jolts of endorphins at the threat posed by a stronger, superior, more powerful pred. \n\n\tBrinna could feel it. The odd mix of weakness and strength in her muscles. Her small, slender, powerless muscles. The rapid ragged breaths that seemed to go wildly out of control. Her heart beating like a humming bird. It was all natural. Epinephrine and norepinephrine hitting the blood stream. The body seeking to oxygenate the blood. The sharp chills that started to run down her spine as blood flow shifted and was reprioritized. Then next came-\n\n\tThey closed. Sean curling his fingers around her neck as he started to lift, putting most of her weight on the flats of his fingers where they were crooked under her lower jaw. The squeeze was near instantaneous. A thumb pushing in at just the right point. The grasp hard enough that she could barely drag in ragged breaths.\n\n\tBrinna tried hard to stay in position. To keep her arms behind her as she felt him tighten his grip. Not enough to cut the air off completely. Each ragged gasp requiring her to fight just a bit harder for it. Her lungs began to burn and ache. She gazed into those cold eyes. The cold, powerful eyes of a man she loved. Wave after wave of fear washing over her. Every rational thought slowly drained from Brinnas mind. Replaced bit by bit with the simple thoughts that would let themselves slip though her clouded mind.\n\n\tShe was small.\n\n\tShe was weak.\n\n\tShe was helpless.\n\n\tShe was prey.\n\n\tShe was inferior. Nothing to him. Her class, her skill, her weak, frail prey body. As the grip cut all but the last sliver of air Brinna could feel her powerful mind, the one point of pride she always took in her life, narrowing down to one single inescapable thought. He had the power. He had everything. She was a mere plaything. She was his toy. \n\n\tHer body twitching helplessly as that one thought, that one idea twisted itself. A small raw bit of concept twisted and warped itself into her mind. Twisting itself in ways her twilight thoughts strained to put into words.\n\n\tThen he let go.\n\n\tBrinna felt his thumb loosen and air rush back into her lungs. She coughed and sputtered hard. Rocking back from her tiptoes where she had been and nearly falling backwards before he crooked his free hand behind her. She felt him running his fignertips tenderly over the spot where he had been gripping only moments before. Tracing where there would be bruise marks later for sure.\n\n\tThe dormouse took a moment to steady herself and let her weight rest on him. She took deep breaths. First to get the air back into her body and clear her head. Then to steady it. About a half dozen in she blushed hard as she felt something that made her shiver. She shoved her thighs together hard. Sniffing, hoping to catch herself as the worst case scenario swam in her head a moment. She didn't check, couldn't check. She couldn't dare. But a deep dark blush started to cross her body as the rodent realized what had happened. Unable to do more than rub her now damp thighs together with only thin, cheap shorts to hide her shame. That one last facet of the prey reflex that they had covered in class.\n\n\tShe finally managed to bring her eyes up to Seans. The cold, raw power they held a moment before was now tempered with anticipation and more than a hint of concern. His grip on her was loose. The hand at her back enough to support her. But Brinna could easily sip out. She could very easily turn and walk away now. Even if the fingertips digging into her back made it feel like he was trying in some way to hold on.\n\n\tThe mouse just blushed furiously and cast her eyes down at her feet. The smallest note of reverence slipping in to her soft voice as she cast a docile glance up at him from over the rims of her glasses.\n\n\t``This one thanks you, Sir.'' She whispered with shaky breath. The relief she saw in his eyes warming her heart about as much as it could be with the sudden flood of neurochemicals dumped into it.\n\n\t``Did you notice where we are, My little gem?'' He finally asked after basking in her demure repose.\n\n\tBrinna cast a small look around. Her eyes finally falling on a park bench. One of those submissively folded ears now perking up ever so slightly as she looked back up at him.\n\n\tSean nodded knowingly. ``Kneel, girl.'' he commanded gently\n\n\tShe did. The untrained little dormouse once again half clunking and thudding to her knees on the grass. The sudden movement reminding her of how weak and soft her body now felt. The shameful thought of just what had happened which left her panties so wet and sticky now. The trembling, terrified anticipation as she tried to take some kind of posture, or pose, or make her mind do something to live up to the moment. As if anything could.\n\n\t``Raise your chin, My pet.'' Sean commanded.\n\n\tShe did so, and her eyes lit up. She saw it. The collar. Her collar. The simple band of cheap printed leather that her Sir had cobbled into something precious what seemed like an eternity ago. It was different now, if only barely. He had apparently fitted it with a new clasp. No longer the snaps she'd has before. Yet in all other ways it was completely unchanged.\n\n\t``Eithne Ilyrana Branna Noi Kelley.'' He said firmly as the collar slowly lowered. ``With this I formally place you under consideration of my household. You are, from this day forward, my property. With all rights, privileges and responsibilities that entails. You are mine to do with as I wish. From now until death. Do you understand?''\n\n\tBrinna nodded as she looked up into his eyes. She bit her lip ring softly and took a deep breath. She thrust her chin up, offering her neck eagerly. All of the fear and confusion and trepidation starting to melt as the band was placed around her neck and clicked firmly into place. A simple magnetic seal holding it fast.\n\n\tBrinna reached up to touch the familiar leather again. She'd only had it a short time before, yet her fawning in that time had caused her to memorize every line, every crease, every square centimeter of the piece.\n\n\tShe felt it click and her heart skipped a beat. Eyes glancing up into his. Longing and satisfaction and words she simply didn't have rushing though her head and her chest screaming for a way to break free. Her tongue finding itself dumb and weak at the assault of needs it didn't know now to meet.\n\n\tInstead the small rodent leaned down as she had before. Hands behind her back. Feeling the moisture run down her cheeks as she pressed her lips to he tip of his boot. Kissing softly and reverently. She then looked up at him a moment, and lay her head down on the grass on its side, nudging the boot with her nose tip.\n\n\tSean took a moment to figure it out. When he did he smiled. A surprisingly awaked smile for the man. Lifting the boot tip he placed the sole along the bridge of her muzzle and against her forehead. Pushing down just a moment. The two speaking no words as they simply existed in the cool night air. Stars and ships far out above them the only witnesses.\n\n",
"writing_bbcode_parsed": "<span style='word-wrap: break-word;'>By Necessity: Basics<br /><br />By TerraMGP<br /><br />\tTake it slow. If not, well better to learn now.<br /><br />\tThat meant a few things. First was no sex. Not in the literal sense anyways. Brinna had never really `done it&#039; before, odd as that felt to say considering how people on the spires tended to live. Virgins were something of a commodity to be sure and all, but for her it&#039;d simply been the social anxiety.<br /><br />\tSecond, they both agreed that she wasn&#039;t moving in any time soon. There were about fifty reasons she could think of for that to end badly right off the top of her head. Her family would be afforded certain protections. Yet, for now at least, that was where it stopped. She wasn&#039;t going to `owe&#039; him. She would find out if Sean was the man he pretended to be as Gene, and if he really was interested in her as, well as something. She still didn&#039;t know what. She just knew she wanted to find out.<br /><br />\tThere were other rules too. The hub for public transportation, and access way to founders plaza.<br /><br />\tIt almost seemed counter-intuitive for a second first date. It would almost be nice if there weren&#039;t so many of them.<br /><br />\tShe just had to make it to the center. The nice round open cylinder that was all but iconic in every shopping center. Only this one was bigger, befitting the largest and most opulent center on the station. The place where commerce and the real seats of power rested. Where every subsidiary and every foreign power sought to demonstrate their latest and greatest to the fine citizens of Yggdrasil.<br /><br />\tIt was the place where Hulfbert stood.<br /><br />\tBrinna tried to keep her eyes on the object. She let her HUD and positioning system keep her mostly on track while inching her way through the crowds and kept her eyes focused on the bright filigree and well cared for plates of the massive thing. It was her best way to get though. Just locking herself on to it, onto the large carefully sculpted chest plate of the oversized walker and letting her senses drown slowly in the warbling soprano and sharp riffs from one of the cheesy throw away ballads from a band only she seemed to listen to.<br /><br />\tIt wasn&#039;t a perfect solution. Probably not even a `healthy&#039; solution. A kind of quiet, subdued power she&#039;d come to find inescapable. The soft shag of his fur off of his arms. That oddly alluring ass. She bit a big bucked tooth over her lip ring as she realized she was just standing there staring. Golly, she was a horrible perv.<br /><br />\t``S-sir?&#039;&#039; she asked as she took a step out into the small gap between them. Nearly getting knocked over by some otter lady who clearly wasn&#039;t paying attention. It was almost enough to make her back off. But she stood her ground.<br /><br />\tSean turned. Which ultimately was just where she wanted to be.<br /><br />\t``You know I could have sent a car for you.&#039;&#039; Sean said softly.<br /><br />\t``I know, Sir&#039;&#039; she muttered ``I&#039;m sorry. But Dr. Naomi thinks it&#039;s best if I do this myself. I need to get better at socializing in places where I&#039;m not comfortable.&#039;&#039;<br /><br />\t``Yeah, well don&#039;t fret over it on my account.&#039;&#039; he laughed.<br /><br />\tShe just looked up at him and sighed. His eyes. Those big, clear blue eyes welling up with tears. A big dopy grin painted on the mans face. Brinna could feel her legs trembling. Her chest started to heave. Every muscle in her body slowly losing awareness of itself as she all but collapsed into his arms.<br /><br />\tThe tears came quickly. A flow of blubbering chokes and sobs. Not the soft delicate ones she imagined so often in those stories she read. Hard, savage snotty blubbering that started to break from her uncontrollably. The most awkward and embarrassing sounds rushing though her throat as she slammed her forehead against his chest in an effort to hide, quickly staining the admittedly cheap &#039;Aeon Blade&#039; Tee shirt he was sporting. She couldn&#039;t think about that, though. All she could do was blubber and sob as she gripped at his shirt. Soon feeling the familiar strength of his paw stroking her hair. Another drug she&#039;d tasted all too briefly before things fell apart.<br /><br />\t``Shh, It&#039;s ok, little one. It&#039;s ok. I promise&#039;&#039; he said as his own baritone voice started to crack. She could feel his heart, his breath. Feel how hard he was fighting just to keep it together for her. Stroking her hair as he had before. Echoes of the few brief touches they shared in the weeks before flooding back to her.<br /><br />\tBrinna sobbed out another little laugh and winced, looking up and blinking her now bloodshot eyes. She opened her mouth to speak. Nothing came. Nothing fit. She just let out another small sob. Gazing into his eyes as Sean leaned down and placed a tender, trembling kiss on her forehead.<br /><br />--------------------<br /><br />\t``So will you tell me what the date is going to be now, Sir? I mean now that&#039; I&#039;m here?&#039;&#039; Brinna asked with an eager little yelp.<br /><br />\tThe dormouse hung off his arm like a barnacle. Her face was still stained a bit from her beautiful little breakdown. She still looked beautiful to him, though. Plus, the bear had to imagine he didn&#039;t look too hot himself. This stoicism crap was harder than it looked. ``Beyond the fact that it&#039;s walking distance? No, pet. Now come on, you should know better. It&#039;s like, a couple kilometers walk. If I tell you right now it&#039;d spoil the surprise.&#039;&#039;<br /><br />\t``I know&#039;&#039; she drew the word out as her head slumped softly ``But I&#039;m still gonna be curious the whole way, darn it. I&#039;ve been trying to settle down ever since you made the offer.&#039;&#039;<br /><br />\t``You say that as if I gave you a choice.&#039;&#039; Sean laughed. Naturally she had a choice. She had every choice in the world. That neck of hers was bare after all. He looked at it for a moment, and then pulled her closer. Never wanting to let her slip away again. They spoke quietly to each other as Sean led his girl out of the shopping area and out into the relative open air. He&#039;d been off station before. Hell he&#039;d been on real, habitable worlds before. The contrast between `outside&#039; here under the domes and seals versus the feeling of being under a real sky was light night and day. Yet at that moment as they stepped away from the shop walk and out on to the walkway which housed the park he felt as free and as energized as he had stepping foot on those nearly uncharted worlds.<br /><br />\t``You know I&#039;m kind of glad we put down some ground rules to this.&#039;&#039; Sean said as he led her down the big open walkway. It was one he&#039;d trod many times before. Brinna had, too. At leas since the breakup. He wondered if, in this state, she&#039;d notice how many people were lazily moving along the same pathway.<br /><br />\tShe looked up at him with a bit of shock and tilted her head. ``You are, Sir? I mean I was kind of worried you&#039;d be upset or something.&#039;&#039;<br /><br />\t``Really?&#039;&#039; Sean asked ``Whysat?&#039;&#039;<br /><br />\t``Well I mean, let&#039;s be honest. Dictating terms, setting conditions. No sex? I mean, not that I mind, naturally, Sir.&#039;&#039; A blatant, horrible, bold faced and underlined lie. Written like runes in the deep blush and popping freckles of her cheeks. ``But even if it was Dr. Naomi&#039;s recommendation It feels wrong barring you from your property this way.&#039;&#039;<br /><br />\tSean smirked a little at that and shook his head ``No sex with you, my little gem&#039;&#039; he corrected ``and yeah it won&#039;t be easy. But I think giving each other a nice, long, slow period of readjustment is probably going to be the healthiest thing in the long term, right?&#039;&#039; He asked.<br /><br />\tBrinna slumped down a bit and hid her face. ``I walked right into that one, didn&#039;t I Sir?&#039;&#039; she muttered. Much of what he said seeming to slip some wind out of her sails.<br /><br />\tSean smirked, leaned down, and kissed the crown of her head. ``Besides, the point of these rules is to pull the superficial stuff away and see who we really are, right? That&#039;s why I didn&#039;t greet you with a new model kit or a replacement bed or&#039;&#039;<br /><br />\t``Or a makeover?&#039;&#039; she asked as she tilted her head.<br /><br />\t``Why the damn makeovers?&#039;&#039; Sean quirked his brow.<br /><br />\tBrinna looked down a bit and shook her head. ``I unno. That&#039;s what you&#039;re supposed to do, right?&#039;&#039;<br /><br />\tHe really didn&#039;t know if she was joking or not. It didn&#039;t matter. Sean pulled his pet in close and just nosed at her ear softly. ``Why do you keep thinking about changing?&#039;&#039; he asked<br /><br />\t``To please you, Sir.&#039;&#039; she said with a shy bluntness.<br /><br />\t``Don&#039;t.&#039;&#039; He smirked ``I like you just the way you are.&#039;&#039;<br /><br />\tThe couple just kept walking down the path as it rolled over one of the carefully planned artificial hills. They&#039;d exchange a few words now and then, but much of it was simply snuggling and feeling each other being close. It was a feeling both Sean and Brinna missed, and couldn&#039;t hide that longing from the other if they wished to.<br /><br />\tThey stopped only a moment. A small stand set up at the side of the path as it arced over the artificial hill. Sean was rather coy about it as he paid for and shouldered a cheap printed canvas bag full of... stuff. It was all but impossible to tell just what. The bags all housed behind the stand counter and the stand lacking any sort of physical markings.<br /><br />\t``So, get any clues now?&#039;&#039; Sean laughed<br /><br />\t``No&#039;&#039; Brinna pouted.<br /><br />\t``Wait, what? Why not?&#039;&#039; Sean tilted his head<br /><br />\t``I think my filter programs blocked the sign&#039;&#039; she muttered softly ``It kinda takes a ton of filtering for me to not get overwhelmed, Sir.&#039;&#039; She confessed ``Sometimes it blocks things I might want to see along with the rest.&#039;&#039;<br /><br />\tSean didn&#039;t seem too upset by this fact at the moment. The bear actually growing a spring in his step. An admittedly odd sight to see. One that also did very little for Brinnas anxiety.<br /><br />\tThe answer didn&#039;t really clear itself up until the two crested the hill. A large section of field had people sitting around on blankets or cheap travel chairs. An odd crowd, skewing young even by Brinnas standards and full of people in the sort of `wealthy casual&#039; which made the little Class III feel even more out of place. She latched tighter to every square inch of Sean that she could. Her Sir smirked, and it became quite clear he had no qualms with her predicament.<br /><br />\tSean waded through the crowd with Brinna all but dragged along. It was an orderly sort of chaos. Blankets and quilts laying at all angles on the grass. People with an array of food and drink. All of them facing a nice big shell structure that had been assembled a short ways away. <br /><br />\tBrinna was sure she could see people dressed in nice suits and dresses sitting in the bowl. All shuffling to their positions or milling about. Most of them holding old style instruments. Violins, Oboes, synthesizers. Not to mention woodwinds. So many woodwinds.<br /><br />\t``Mind helping me, Pet?&#039;&#039; Sean pulled a tightly bundled quilt lined trimmed in a nice robins egg blue from the bag. Eye glancing at them nervously.<br /><br />\t``You know you didn&#039;t have to take those off.&#039;&#039; Sean sighed as he pulled her close.<br /><br />\t``YesSir&#039;&#039; Brinna nodded with a sigh ``I just didn&#039;t want to mess up this nice blanket you bought. I figured it&#039;d get like, grass stains on it or something. No sense letting it go to waste.&#039;&#039;<br /><br />\tThe bear paused for a moment. As if the thought had not even crossed his mind before. Then he nodded, and sighed. ``I suppose not, pet. That is smart thinking on your part.&#039;&#039;<br /><br />\tShe nodded softly and scotched a bit closer. The poor dormouse straining and craning her neck to see just what as going on. ``So, our second fist date is a concert, sir?&#039;&#039; She asked as she struggled to find a comfortable spot.<br /><br />\t``You&#039;ll see, little one.&#039;&#039; He murred confidently<br /><br />\t``Kinda feels like that&#039;s a running theme, Sir. Like, you know, you don&#039;t wish to give me any spoilers about what you have planned.&#039;&#039; She shot him an exaggerated pout, which didn&#039;t seem to register much more than her normal one. Naturally this ever so slightly tweaked pout did exactly nothing to weaken his resolve. The bear simply pulling her in closer and nuzzling his cheek into her a moment<br /><br />\t``You&#039;re cute.&#039;&#039; Sean chuckled<br /><br />\t``I am not. I&#039;m a strong, confident... yes Sir.&#039;&#039; She sighed as Brinna flopped against him.<br /><br />\tThey watched as the holo displays fired up. As the band started. Bright, shimmering rays of light cutting though the growing dusklgiht of the rotating station. A few small bits of low stir from the heavier strings. An oddly familiar tone. One that stirred with the shivering lights and was soon joined by the fluttering of clarinets.<br /><br />\t``Starlight Soldier Brigid?&#039;&#039; She asked in disbelief. It was the same theme. Rewritten in a very different manner and with very different instrumentation. But inescapable all the same. Her eyes widening in joyful shock.<br /><br />\t``When you see a play bill that serendipitous, it just demands this kind of treatment.&#039;&#039; Sean chuckled. He said nothing more. Leaning up against her and holding her close as the band started to rise for the crashing chorus of the song.<br /><br />\tBrinna lay back in awe. Instruments, live instruments. Not just the occasional kid who saved up and got some custom, low quality semi-analogue interment printed up either. Holo projectors behind the shell started to form images, swirling ships and dog fights from the series captured in beautiful full displays unmatched even by the few times Brinna had fully jacked herself into the network<br /><br />\tThat wasn&#039;t what drew her attention, though. Her hands half resting on the plush quilt, half in the grass, gripping at the strands of plant matter.<br /><br />\tShe felt Seans hand wrap over hers. Squeezing it tightly. For a moment things all made sense.<br /><br />\tTime seemed to slip out of her grasp for a moment after that. Brinna found herself dazed and lost in the sensation of the moment. She could pick out the properties for each new song. Monster Pens, Aeon Blade, Even a shockingly playful and complex take on the `Rati Returns&#039; theme. By the time Brinna came up for air from the sea of music she found that the station had almost totally slipped into its night cycle. The intermission seeing people stir and stretch and converse while the holograms flashed images from the previous songs on repeat.<br /><br />\tThe dormouse looked over to see Sean pulling a small container out of the bag that had the blanket. He popped it open and withdrew a smaller container, that one holding an array of cheese cubes stacked and ordered. This was followed by another with what looked to be various crackers partitioned out, and a small set of cold cuts. Next came a small container of chicken, another tray this time with a selection of cheesecake bites, and a couple cans of `Ol&#039; Olaf&#039;s honey soda&#039;.<br /><br />\t``What, no mead, Sir?&#039;&#039; Brinna asked teasingly, or as teasingly as she could given both her usual skills at sarcasm and the utter shock at the food presented.<br /><br />\t``No, no mead. Not for like, a long time. A very long time.&#039;&#039; Sean groaned<br /><br />\t``I didn&#039;t... never mind, Sir.&#039;&#039; she sighed as she lay against him. Mmmph this is amazing!&#039;&#039; She gasped. I&#039;ve never tasted anything like this before!&#039;&#039;<br /><br />\t``Well I mean, yeah&#039;&#039; Sean chuckled. ``No offense my pet but you do realize the food printers for petty much anything in Class III sections of the station are more or less just printing off the same ten compounds and maybe like, ten flavor cartages, right?&#039;&#039; he laughed. ``They&#039;re not going to sell a premade picnic package using that stuff when the tickets themselves were like, fifty&#039;&#039; he shrugged. Admittedly, he had bought a class I package regardless, so odds were good half of the food was in fact real. One of the few ways people outside of his income bracket could afford &#039;real&#039; food. But since he had no idea which would or wouldn&#039;t be well printed or farm raised Sean felt no need to specify it. Besides, &#039;real&#039; cheese might count as spoiling.<br /><br />\tThe two talked and laughed as they nestled close. <br /><br />\tAfter a few long moments Brinna finally looked up from yet another cheese and cracker concoction. She nestled her cheek into his shoulder fur a bit and glanced up at him nervously while letting a half nibbled bit of cracker slip down her throat. ``Sir, I do kinda have to ask.&#039;&#039; Brinna muttered even as she reached up to tug at her little scrap metal charm again. ``That whole thing about setting up foundations and everything. Oh god I shouldn&#039;t even be asking this.&#039;&#039; She sighed as she pulled her knees up to her chest again and shrank herself down as much as she could. Ears folded back as she gave him a sideways glance. ``Did that, did that have anything to do with me? Gahh. No, never mind. Forget I mentioned it. Darn it that was a stupid question.&#039;&#039; She yelped burying her face between her knees and blushing furiously.<br /><br />\tSean smirked and ran a hand along her hair, letting his pet simply ride the nervous little spasm. ``What, no. Well, not really. I mean kinda. Sorta. I mean, look&#039;&#039; he sighed ``I&#039;d pretty much accepted I blew the fuck out of this whole thing with you after you threw your collar back in my face. And I&#039;ll admit I got a bit obsessive. I&#039;m pretty sure my maids had to burn the bed sheets.&#039;&#039; He chuckled and grinned down at her, pulling the little bundle of nerves up into his side and murring softly. He could feel her start to melt against him.<br /><br />\t``But yeah self pity over losing you and that unhealthy bit of fixation on you that your doc seems so up in arms about, well it got me thinking. I remembered you&#039;d mentioned going to some after school science programs. So I looked into them. They were, well they were kinda crap to be honest.&#039;&#039;<br /><br />\t``H-hey...&#039;&#039; Brinna muttered as she looked up as angrily as she could given her position and overwhelmed senses. ``I really liked those!&#039;&#039;<br /><br />\t``That&#039;s because my little gem is smart. Probably would have been in the Accel program if it scanned that low. Which is kind of the problem too. I only dug her up because of bored little slaves trying to meddle in my low grade depressive self medication and a huge amount of luck. So how many kids, how many people in general, are sitting around as wasted potential? Hell I know for a fact that subsidiaries will often dump half their broken tools or large stores of surplus parts on those kinds of training programs just to get a write off.&#039;&#039;<br /><br />\t``Yeah, I kinda heard about that.&#039;&#039; Brinna muttered ``So you, you think I&#039;d have done better with a better program?&#039;&#039; the mouse muttered as she sighed and slumped a bit harder, her ears folded back firmly as she tried to let her stress just bleed off in the safe embrace.<br /><br />\t``You have mountains of potential for just about anything you want, my dearest. Though short term that&#039;s going to be a bit hard to deal with. What with my hands being tied about how much I can spoil you.&#039;&#039; he laughed ``And for the record, the concert doesn&#039;t count. I would have come to this regardless. I&#039;m just... I&#039;m glad I get to share it with you.&#039;&#039;<br /><br />\tShe blushed hard and nodded, hugging her legs a bit harder and slumping her shoulders as the stunned girl sighed and nuzzled into the warm soft flannel shirt and let herself get lost in his breathing. ``I am too, Sir.&#039;&#039;<br /><br />\tThe band started to warm up after intermission. Brinna quickly snuggling back up against him and yawning as the lights and projectors blinking on in preparation for the second half.<br /><br />--------------------<br /><br />\tBrinna as still finding it hard not to jitter with excitement. Her hand was shaking a bit. The one she had to keep free to carry the bag anyways. Her Sir had graciously said that she could keep the blanket, after a single, perhaps over-enthusiastic request.<br /><br />\tThey rambled along one of the walkways. It was hard to tell which one. Street lights in the park were almost non-existent and confined largely to the main path. City lights from buildings around them and even the large building this park was built on seemed to help keep some level of illumination while the station was turned from its star.<br /><br />\t``That was really nice, Sir.&#039;&#039; Brinna muttered contently as she shut her eyes and sighed.<br /><br />\t``Glad you liked it.&#039;&#039; He chuckled ``Kinda makes me wish I didn&#039;t have so much on my plate the next week. I still have a chance to spoil you saved up after all, right?&#039;&#039;<br /><br />\tBrinna blushed and bit her lip hard. She nodded the most embarrassed little nod and shut her eyes tight just leaning up against him. ``Well you know, you don&#039;t have to spoil me every week either, Sir. It&#039;s not like I don&#039;t already feel special.&#039;&#039;<br /><br />\t``You are special, my little gem.&#039;&#039; Sean chuckled ``I&#039;m just lucky I found you. All I demand is that you remain you. Something I&#039;d hope you can accomplish fairly easily.&#039;&#039;<br /><br />\tShe nodded softly and pushed up against him as best she could. The Dormouse struggling to lean up hard. Sean smirked, chuckled, then leaned down enough for her to kiss his cheek. ``I don&#039;t think I&#039;ll have any issue obeying that one, Sir. I may revere her, but I&#039;m not exactly Brigid.&#039;&#039;<br /><br />\t``The Tuatha or the hapless Drassi field support girl turned Alien tech infused mech pilot?&#039;&#039; He laughed<br /><br />\t``Either, both. I donno.&#039;&#039; She whined as she hid her face a bit and slumped<br /><br />\tSean sighed and shook his head softly. ``I think you&#039;re cuter than both. Though you strike me more like Eimhaer. My own little Eimhaer.&#039;&#039; He said with a small grin ``And one I was lucky to find well after that whole geas breaking early death crap would have happened.&#039;&#039; The bear grinned proudly to himself. He let out a small sigh and just felt how good the girl was near him. His girl. It wasn&#039;t like there weren&#039;t others he could make that claim about. Or even that he somehow didn&#039;t care for the girls, and boys, he owned. But that was just as a Master. As an owner. This? He didn&#039;t dare put a label on what this was.<br /><br />\t``Was, was that Gaelic?&#039;&#039; She asked with a bit of a blush.<br /><br />\t``Sea, mo cheann deas.&#039;&#039; He murred.<br /><br />\t``I... Don&#039;t actually speak Gaelic, Sir&#039;&#039; she whined as the poor brown furred girl tried to hide her blushing face once more.<br /><br />\tHe stopped and looked down at her. Demanding it stop, willing it stop, just for them.<br /><br />\t``Ni rachaidh mi in iul duit, comhalanaigh tu dom cailin daor. Beidh me mar do charraig agus do dhidean as an saol seo. Beidh tu mar mo sholas agos mo stor is luachmhaire. Beidh tu ar mo thaobh mo la ar fad. Beidh me ad siul le cuspoir nua le mo gheag beag i mo shaol.&#039;&#039;<br /><br />\tBrinna folded her ears back and whined loudly. Her heart aching and ready to burst<br /><br />\t``Is brea liom tu, doar.&#039;&#039; He whispered<br /><br />\t``W-what?&#039;&#039; She asked nervously as Brinna struggled to stay on her feet.<br /><br />\t``Do you trust me, slave?&#039;&#039; He said. Louder, more authoritative.<br /><br />\tBrinna bit her lip and put her arms firmly behind her back. Clasping her wrists together. She stood up rail straight with her knees locked. Tilting her chin up and looking her Sir in the eyes. She tried like hell to steady her breathing. Feeling her heart flutter as she took, or rather improvised, the best `slave&#039; position she could imagine. ``This one trusts you, my Lord&#039;&#039; she squeaked out. The words feeling so odd. Metal-rigid and yet so very small on her lips. All but dying in her throat.<br /><br />\t``Are you sure, girl? Do not say so unless you are absolutely sure.&#039;&#039; He said sternly<br /><br />\tBrinna nodded. It would be a lie to say he wasn&#039;t part of that. `Gene&#039;. The lie that meant she didn&#039;t know who he was. Couldn&#039;t&#039; trust him. She looked into those eyes still worried, still terrified she didn&#039;t. wondering what else he hid. Wondering how she could trust him. If she could trust him. Her mind racing and rushing as she tried to reconcile her years of reading dirty stories with the all but unknown reality and struggled to forge some bridge of logic between the two. Try as she might the poor girl couldn&#039;t assuage every shred of that fear.<br /><br />\tYet at the same time, she wanted this. Not the money, or titles, or cushy life. Not the power by proxy. She looked into his eyes. Looked so deeply. Whatever indescribable things she knew she saw. She wanted it.<br /><br />\t``Yes Sir.&#039;&#039; she said plainly<br /><br />\tBrinna watched nervously as she held position. That churning, roiling feeling in her gut as she felt every breath squeeze against the thick pad of his hand and her neck flesh brush and bristle with each swelling gasp.<br /><br />\tShe could pull out and run. She wanted to. Desperately if she was being honest. Her heart thudded that much harder. Her toes curled. Brinna tried so hard to keep herself together and in check. She struggled to keep her mind focused. It was the `prey reflex&#039;. They covered it in school ages ago. The idea that prey had far stronger flight responses. That weaker species would feel the jolts of endorphins at the threat posed by a stronger, superior, more powerful pred. <br /><br />\tBrinna could feel it. Then next came-<br /><br />\tThey closed. Sean curling his fingers around her neck as he started to lift, putting most of her weight on the flats of his fingers where they were crooked under her lower jaw. The squeeze was near instantaneous. A thumb pushing in at just the right point. The grasp hard enough that she could barely drag in ragged breaths.<br /><br />\tBrinna tried hard to stay in position. Replaced bit by bit with the simple thoughts that would let themselves slip though her clouded mind.<br /><br />\tShe was small.<br /><br />\tShe was weak.<br /><br />\tShe was helpless.<br /><br />\tShe was prey.<br /><br />\tShe was inferior. <br /><br />\tHer body twitching helplessly as that one thought, that one idea twisted itself. A small raw bit of concept twisted and warped itself into her mind. Twisting itself in ways her twilight thoughts strained to put into words.<br /><br />\tThen he let go.<br /><br />\tBrinna felt his thumb loosen and air rush back into her lungs. She coughed and sputtered hard. Rocking back from her tiptoes where she had been and nearly falling backwards before he crooked his free hand behind her. She felt him running his fignertips tenderly over the spot where he had been gripping only moments before. Tracing where there would be bruise marks later for sure.<br /><br />\tThe dormouse took a moment to steady herself and let her weight rest on him. She took deep breaths. First to get the air back into her body and clear her head. Then to steady it. About a half dozen in she blushed hard as she felt something that made her shiver. She shoved her thighs together hard. Sniffing, hoping to catch herself as the worst case scenario swam in her head a moment. She didn&#039;t check, couldn&#039;t check. She couldn&#039;t dare. But a deep dark blush started to cross her body as the rodent realized what had happened. Unable to do more than rub her now damp thighs together with only thin, cheap shorts to hide her shame. That one last facet of the prey reflex that they had covered in class.<br /><br />\tShe finally managed to bring her eyes up to Seans. The cold, raw power they held a moment before was now tempered with anticipation and more than a hint of concern. His grip on her was loose. The hand at her back enough to support her. But Brinna could easily sip out. She could very easily turn and walk away now. Even if the fingertips digging into her back made it feel like he was trying in some way to hold on.<br /><br />\tThe mouse just blushed furiously and cast her eyes down at her feet. The smallest note of reverence slipping in to her soft voice as she cast a docile glance up at him from over the rims of her glasses.<br /><br />\t``This one thanks you, Sir.&#039;&#039; She whispered with shaky breath. The relief she saw in his eyes warming her heart about as much as it could be with the sudden flood of neurochemicals dumped into it.<br /><br />\t``Did you notice where we are, My little gem?&#039;&#039; He finally asked after basking in her demure repose.<br /><br />\tBrinna cast a small look around. Her eyes finally falling on a park bench. One of those submissively folded ears now perking up ever so slightly as she looked back up at him.<br /><br />\tSean nodded knowingly. ``Kneel, girl.&#039;&#039; he commanded gently<br /><br />\tShe did. As if anything could.<br /><br />\t``Raise your chin, My pet.&#039;&#039; Sean commanded.<br /><br />\tShe did so, and her eyes lit up. She saw it. The collar. Her collar. The simple band of cheap printed leather that her Sir had cobbled into something precious what seemed like an eternity ago. It was different now, if only barely. He had apparently fitted it with a new clasp. No longer the snaps she&#039;d has before. Yet in all other ways it was completely unchanged.<br /><br />\t``Eithne Ilyrana Branna Noi Kelley.&#039;&#039; He said firmly as the collar slowly lowered. ``With this I formally place you under consideration of my household. You are, from this day forward, my property. With all rights, privileges and responsibilities that entails. You are mine to do with as I wish. From now until death. Do you understand?&#039;&#039;<br /><br />\tBrinna nodded as she looked up into his eyes. She bit her lip ring softly and took a deep breath. She thrust her chin up, offering her neck eagerly. All of the fear and confusion and trepidation starting to melt as the band was placed around her neck and clicked firmly into place. A simple magnetic seal holding it fast.<br /><br />\tBrinna reached up to touch the familiar leather again. She&#039;d only had it a short time before, yet her fawning in that time had caused her to memorize every line, every crease, every square centimeter of the piece.<br /><br />\tShe felt it click and her heart skipped a beat. Eyes glancing up into his. Longing and satisfaction and words she simply didn&#039;t have rushing though her head and her chest screaming for a way to break free. Her tongue finding itself dumb and weak at the assault of needs it didn&#039;t know now to meet.<br /><br />\tInstead the small rodent leaned down as she had before. Hands behind her back. Feeling the moisture run down her cheeks as she pressed her lips to he tip of his boot. Kissing softly and reverently. She then looked up at him a moment, and lay her head down on the grass on its side, nudging the boot with her nose tip.<br /><br />\tSean took a moment to figure it out. When he did he smiled. A surprisingly awaked smile for the man. Lifting the boot tip he placed the sole along the bridge of her muzzle and against her forehead. Pushing down just a moment. The two speaking no words as they simply existed in the cool night air. Stars and ships far out above them the only witnesses.<br /><br /></span>",
