Been in a bit of a slump, not liking the direction of my previous story, and got into board games. I've been considering a new continuity, and with that in mind, this story is unrelated to First Steps. You can’t blame me for worrying.\" Erin spotted her son trying to sneak by and grabbed him for a hug as well. \n\n\"Geez, Mom!\" Telain said as he weakly hugged her back. \"You're only leaving for the weekend. Not even 3 days.\" \n\n\"I know, I know.\" Erin sighed as she released the twins. \"You have our phone numbers if you need anything and I told your aunt in case you can't reach  us.\" \n\n\"Okay, the car's all ready.\" Jamie said, as the older flareon came in the front door. \"Stop pestering the kids and grab your bags, hun.\"   \n\n\nTahla waved at her parents as they pulled out of the driveway. She grinned, giddy with excitement. Now she just had to wait for her brother to leave and she'd have the house all to herself. \n\nIt wasn't long before he poked his head in her room with a bag slung over his shoulder. \"Hey, sis, I'm headed out.\" \n\n\"I'll get the door.\" Tahla hopped up and locked the door behind him. She watched him out the window and as soon as he was out of sight, she ran to her room and practically dove under her bed. Toys and stuffed animals flew out behind her as she dug deeper, she squealed triumphantly as she emerged with a large leather-bound book and tossed it on the bed.\n\nShe jumped onto the bed and sat next to the old book. She fixed her skirt then slowly opened the tome. The eevee girl flipped through the pages, quietly reading the titles.\n\n“Hm… riches, teleportation, invisibility…” Her face twisted in concentration as she flipped through the pages faster. “Here it is!” She shifted in her seat and smoothed out the page labeled Seeking Love, her fingers slowly tracing the word as she considered it’s implications. She read down the page, looking for where to start, then she took a deep breath and began reading the passage aloud. Her tail twitched in equal parts nervousness and excitement as she spoke the alien words. \n\nAs Tahla finished reading the incantation and the words faded into the silence of the house, she held her breath with anticipation. Her mind raced as she waited, searching for any indication that the spell worked. Her lungs began to burn, and she gasped as they reminded her to breathe. She sighed and laid back, pushing the book down the bed with her feet.\n\n“Well now I just feel silly,” she said as she yawned, exhausted, all her energy suddenly gone after waiting all day and trying to hide her excitement while the house slowly emptied. She smiled, watching the bright moonlight dance on her ceiling as she drifted off to sleep.\n\n\nTahla’s breath caught in her throat as she awoke to an intense chill running up her leg. She sat up and a scream caught in her throat as she looked at a translucent, grey… tentacle rose up at the end of her bed. She threw herself towards the door, meaning to run away, but she was caught in the air, the chill on her leg returning more intensely as the tentacle grabbed her. It held her aloft, hanging upside-down. It’s cold slime dripped onto her fur, sending a chill up her spine. She thrashed around, trying to break free from it’s grasp. Her other leg froze, literally and figuratively, as another tentacle wrapped around it, it’s cold slime quickly suffusing her fur.\n\nTahla gasped as the chill spread under her tail. She renewed her struggle as a tentacle slid into her panties and pulled them away. She moaned as it’s tips swirled around her entrance, the cold slime dripping into her.
