had called him for a late-night session as she liked to call them, either it was for more painful experimentation or what seamed to be the case this time, sexual exploitation. \"Ion, what are you still doing sitting in that chair, I told you to undress and come over here, I need my...\" Narche started saying as Ion jumped up from the chair and stared towards her, \"I will not!\" he shouted, breathing heavy, his eyes widened at the person who's command he was disobeying, \"what did I hear? You have no choice in this, now, you will...\" Narche started saying in an angry tone, \"No! No more, I am not doing this any longer, I had enough, what you put me through, what you put my body through, what you have taken away\" Ion cut in with vigor, \"oh what about all that I have given you, all that augmentation to combine with your natural protégéc ability\" Narche started to counter but Ion was having none of it, \"I never asked for any of that!\" Ion shouted, \"if I knew what you would have put me though, I would have rather died by Kyara's hand!\" \"I see, well a mentality like that won't do, looks like I will have to make some adjustments\" Narche said with a grin, \"now, strip and get on the operating table, I have work that I need to complete\" Narche continued in a commanding tone as Ion growled, \"like I said, I will not, I am not taking another dam order from you!\" Ion yelled as Narche just shook her head, \"well it is not like you have much of a choice\" she said flipping up a cover on her arm bracer, Ion's eyes widen again as he knew what was coming, it was all too familiar, every part of him wanted to attack her, to prevent her from touching any of the buttons on that control pad but the programing she put on his reality chips in his brain prevented him from doing anything to harm her, she was right not matter what he really wanted, he was stuck. \"Now then shall we try again? Ion strip and get on the operating table\" Narche said after fiddling with some controls on her bracer, Ion stood there and nodded, while in his mind he was trying to fight back, his body was not under his own mind's control as he removed his clothes, exposing his naked, scared body from all the experimentation she had done to him the past ten years or so, though the deepest ones were from Kyara's attack, markings from all torture sessions she had put him through, all the surgery's she had done to his body to enhance and augment him into the perfect weapon as she would like to say but it was never enough, Ion didn't even know how much of his body internally or even sometimes externally was biological anymore, heck even what was between his legs was not his own anymore as Narche had it lobbed off despite Ion's pleas for in her eyes something bigger and better as his biological one could never get big enough for her satisfaction during the times she would throw herself on him, he was nothing more then a play things in all ways for her desires. He could take all the abuse she had thrown at him, all the physical, mental and sexual scaring but what she did there really hurt him to the soul, Ion wished he could just rip it off, having nothing there would be better then having that artificial toy of her's inside his sheath.\n\nHis body now moved on it's own towards the operating table in her lab as he slowly laid down on the cold metal slab, \"good boy, now we can get to work\" Narche said patting him on the head before running a finger down his body, she then got dressed in a surgical gown, before going over to a computer nearby the operating table and changing some of the sliders displayed there. Ion's mind raced, he never liked this room, constantly forced to lay on this table while his mind could experience everything she would do to him while his body would let it all happen, he couldn't move, couldn't speak, couldn't do anything she didn't want while they were all in here, he was noting more then a piece of machinery for her to work on while in this trance. Finishing up with the computer, Narche walked back over to the operating table and looked down on the stoic Ion, knowing that his eyes could see her, his mind could process what she was about to do but not do anything about it, \"shall we begin? I need to do some 'tests' on that cybernetic heart of yours before I can get to 'fixing' up those reality chips\" she said from behind her mask, raising up a scalpel and placing it on the top of his chest as Ion prepared himself mentally for Narche's physical punishment, he knew his heart was fine but this was just one of the ways she loved to torture him, going inside and 'playing' with his artificial heart, causing him excruciating agony while he would not be able to pass out, all for what she called 'data', no it was just another means of control for her, in a more literal sense. Ion felt the scalpel dig into his chest hard as he could tell this would be a more violent operation due to his disobedience, he knew his words would never stop her from performing any of the surgeries she would want to, aggravating her just always made them a lot more painful but he could no longer hold back, he had to start fighting back more one way or another, to show resolve even when faced with a less desirable outcome though this time was different, his friends said they had a plan to help, that this time he needed to refuse her advances and refuse them vigorously, \"ok were the hell are you guys, I thought you said you had a plan!\" Ion thought as Narche started to drag the scalpel down a bit, a trickle of blood leaked down his body. But only after making a small cut the lights in the lab suddenly went out, as did the computers monitoring all of Ion's systems, a generator kicked in and light came back to the screens but the computers were in the process of rebooting, \"what the hell?\" Narche angerly said as she went back to her main computer, more sensation came back to Ion as he was able to move his limbs again on his own as he sprang up from the operating table, \"where do you think you are going?\" Narche said giving Ion a look, \"the doors auto lock where the power goes out, so there is no escape, now be a good boy and get back on the table, do that and I will go more gently on your surgery, I will turn off the pain receptors\" Narche continued as Ion froze up, it was another way she had control over him, the promise of painless experimentation as again there was nothing Ion could do to stop her from what she wanted to do with him but if he was a 'good boy' in her eyes, she would reward him with a more comfortable experience with her experimentation, for all that Narche was at least she was always honest with her promises and right now Ion was seriously considering bending to her call, it would be a wanted momentarily moment of relaxation. But no, his friends had a plan and he needed to trust them, no matter the cost of his mind of body, \"I will not\" Ion said almost unsure of himself but he did stare back towards Narche like he was not going to back down as she growled angerly.\n\nThe power came back on as she was able to log backing to the computer, Ion looked down in thought, his friends had not come during there chance and Ion again now had to prepare to take the brunt of Narche's wrath, taking a deep breath he raised his head and eyed back to Narche who looked furious, \"I gave you a chance, now you are going to regret not taking it\" she angerly said typing away on the computer as Ion tried to calm himself knowing full well that any moment his body would be back under her control. But as the seconds, then minutes passed nothing happened, Ion was still able to move his body freely but he was almost scared stiff still sitting on the edge of the operating table as Narche stressfully continued typing away at her computer, \"what the fuck? Why is nothing working?\" she frustrating said as the door to the lab suddenly opened, \"that's because we have your computer on lockdown\" a familiar voice said as Flint rushed inside, followed by Zephyr, looking a bit surprised, Narche hit a button that placed a forcefield around her workstation for protection. \"Ion's coming with us and there is nothing you can do\" Flint continued as Narche laughed, \"you think this is going to stop me, it will take me no time at all to re-hack into my computer and after that you will see just how powerful my weapon can be, you will not be able to run far enough in time\" Narche threatened as her eyes glowed, \"but I am merciful, I will forgive your trespass and promise not to experiment on Ion for the rest of today if you leave quietly\" she countered as Flint shook his head, \"you will not experiment on him ever again\" he said as Narche looked angrier. \"Come Ion, we need to get out of here as fast as we can\" Zephyr said as he grabbed a hold of Ion's hand and started pulling him with them but Ion stopped and stood still, \"no, I can't risk it, I can't... I don't want to have to...\" Ion started saying, worried that any second he could turn on his friends at Narche's desire, \"you said you trusted you to get you out, well do you or don't you?\" Zephyr softly asked in a reassuring tone, holding out his hand once more, \"I do but...\" Ion started replying but was cut off, \"then trust us to have a plan\" Zephyr cut in as Ion thought about it for a moment and took hold back his friend's hand as the three boys ran out of the lab as Narche was furiously typing away trying to get back into her computer.\n\n\"Ok you said you have a plan but what took you so long?\" Ion asked as they hit the street, \"well we needed to get Narche to start the surgery process on you, we noticed when she does it, she removes some of the safeties from your reality chips so she can more freely control them, more if she is going in for punishment\" Flint started saying, \"alright but what does that have to do with the plan?\" Ion asked as Flint laughed, \"think about it, with the safeties off, technically anyone who can match the mind link code can enter a person's cybernetic brain, have you not noticed it yet?\" Flint asked as Ion just looked confused, \"Matias, he is inside your head right now, putting up barriers and will be a frontline solder in the cyber mindscape once Narche tries to hack back in, it is our only defense against her until we can get you to a faraday location where we can hopefully disable her mind links to your cybernetics\" Zephyr chimed in as Ion made a smile, \"so my cousin is all behind this, how did you fine him? case is almost impossible since the state of your biological body is almost nothing more then a corpse that is being animated by her secret tech\" Matias started saying as Ion looked a bit annoyed by his last comment, \"but there is nothing close like it out on the market since it is so experimentary and unknown, without changing all of it you would be stuck in faraday locations unable to go out into the world to prevent her from linking to you and I know you don't want that\" Matias continued as that was a realization Ion never though about and a fear that even if he could escape, there was always that chance she could force him back with her tech in his body.\n\n\"That's why I had to develop something myself, ever since I heard how she 'saved' you, I have been interested in coming up with my own cybernetic drive to help other that were far gone beyond the saving of standard cybernetics and I think I came up with a better way, relying also on nanotechnology\" Matias finished as cybernetics without having to fully commit to constant cybernetic augments, take your brain for example, without the reality chips in your head, you can't function Ion as you are essentially brain dead, your physical brain now only hold the memories from just up to when Kyara killed you and the realty chips now hold the rest and control your body functions, not just the cybernetics\" Matias started answering, \"but with the nanotech, I can have them over time continue to repair and recreate natural cells so that you have be able to regain normal functions of your biological parts, but that part is purely experimental but if it can be achieve, it would be world changing\" Matias continued on, \"well I am the perfect subject for that, sounds interesting to me\" Ion said at Matias' remarks. \"But the main thing I had in mind for this tech, at least for someone like you who is on the battle field is fluid body augmentation and ability boosts\" Matias started again as Ion was very interested, \"being able to shift your body structure around to change the dynamics of what you need at any given moment, like for example, need a bit more speed and evasion, then my tech could shapeshift your body to the form of a rabbit who has that natural ability, need more defense, then why not shapeshift to the form of a floof dragon and have an armor of scales and bit more strength to cellular level they can manipulate them so your body can take the shape and structure similar to what is on file, but with what is already naturally in your body make, so it is only a reconfiguration of what you look like as a different species with their traits, not a full copy of the referenced person\" Matias answered as Ion cracked a smile, \"so I guess this is why it is called the Kyuubi Drive, taking inspiration from those legendary shapeshifters?\" Ion asked, \"basically, others look down on nanotech as large cybernetics are what most are after but they don't realize the potential of stuff on the smaller scale and how it can be a more effective weapon, a different kind of cybernetic augment that pairs technology with the more biological parts of a person\" Matias replied as them while possibly not being under the threat of Narche. \"Made it! and before Flint\" Ion though as he smiled at the sight of Zephyr who waved over to him, walking over Ion was overjoyed with emotions, happiness, joyfulness and most important of all, bloodlust as Ion's eyes narrowed, a smile grinned his face as he thrusted his ninjato out, stabbing Zephyr in the stomach as he coughed up placing a hand over an arrow with his bow readied in his other hand, \"no, not Ion... it is... Narche!\" Zephyr wheezed out in pain as Flint lowered his stance, \"hey Matias! What the hell is going on?\" Flint called out but there was silence, \"Matias answer!\" \"Sorry, I wanted to warn you but I needed to cut the mind link to the both of you as Narche had broken through one of my barriers and as able to create a back door, she then tried to hack into your guys reality chips but I had to cut the link to prevent that and refocus on retaking Ion's mind, I have been able to establish connections to his vitals and some body controls but full mind control is now under Narche's command, I am trying to break in and push her out, but you need to buy me time\" Matias called out as Narche laughed, \"there is not point now, I am in control of his most important part and will soon have the others, lets see how you like it when the tables in the mindscape are turned, come on 'prodigy' show me what you got!\" Narche said challenging Matias, \"I wouldn't give your hopes up Ion, there is no way he can 'save' you now, you should of listened to me when I gave you the chance, you had multiple of them, now you have to pay the price\" Narche started saying as Ion's body readied for battle out of Ion's mind's control, \"now all you have to do is kill your friend, that is the price you must pay!\" Narche called out in the mindscape as Ion's body engaged Flint in combat.\n\n\"Flint, please try not to hurt Ion if you can, again I still have control over his vitals and some body controls, I can make his attacks slower while I try to regain full control of his mind, just remember this is all Narche doing this, not Ion!\" Matias called out as Flint grunted, \"don't you think I don't know that, but hurry\" Flint said dodging Ion's attacks, \"even slowed, I don't know how long I can hold out\" Flint continued as he started struggling against Ion's relentless advances, while Flint was fast, Ion was faster even while slowed, he was too well modified with internal cybernetics compared to a way less modified Flint, it was only a matter of time before Ion landed an knock down blow as a tired Flint fell to the ground, he stared up at Ion, gritting his teeth, \"don't worry, I know you can hear me, just know I don't blame you for any of this\" Flint said in a soft voice seaming accepting his fate, \"just get back at Narche for me, ok\" Flint continued as Ion raised his ninjato overhead as Zephyr screamed out \"please stop!\", Ion wanted to, in his mind he didn't want any of this but his body would not respond to him, \"please Matias, do something!\" Zephyr continued as Matias typed away on his computer remotely vigorously, \"I don't think I can... I am sorry, she is just gaining back too much control\" he said with a tear running down his face, Ion started to swing his ninjato as Flint prepared to be struct, but before the metal touched his fur, Ion was forcefully knocked away by a large figure who quickly ran into the fray. \"If you can't even do something this simple, the how are you ever suppose to support you so called friend\" a female grey wolf wearing red neon said as she looked Flint in the eyes, \"Kyara! Glad to see you!\" Flint said joyfully as Kyara made a smirk, \"just be lucky we were in the area\" she responded as Meeka also appeared and rushed over to the injured Zephyr and attended to his wounds, \"though you said you could handle the extraction on your own, that you wouldn't need my help\" Kyara said in a snide voice as Ion went to attack her but she easily punched him back to the ground, \"it was more for Ion's sake, you might of startled him if you came with us\" Flint retorted, \"ya well look where that ended up\" Kyara responded as Flint made a small smile, \"now will you help me deal with your friend? Don't worry, I won't kill him again, I owe you that much but when this is over, my debt is paid!\" Kyara side as Flint nodded, the tow of them continued to fight against Ion carefully, trying to give Matias the time to retake control. \"Hey Matias, can you give me an ETA on how long this is going to take?\" Kyara called out as Matias got frustrated, \"Narche is good, this is going to take time if I can ever get back in, her walls are a lot stronger then I expected\" Matias answered as Kyara growled, \"well think of something fast, she has our location now, even with security sensors dampened she can just give them our location based on Ion's mind link, this is why I hate these god dammed cybernetics!\" Matias worked tirelessly away trying to regain control of Ion but it was coming clear it was no use, he was locked out from his main mindscape, Narche would not allow anyone else to enter, his only hope now was to fully sever the link, with what control he had left, \"guys I lost control over his mind links, there is no way I can get them back right now, but...\" Matias said as he vigorously worked away in his computer, \"I still have control over his vitals, she has not gotten that back yet, probably still worried about loosing his mind link again or she may think I would never do this..... sorry Ion, I tried to get you out unscathed but I will keep my promise, this may hurt but it is the only way out now, I just whish it didn't have to come to this\" Matias said in his mind as he continued typing.\n\n\"Matias, whatever your plan is hurry! they are running out of time, who know when Ion will get another hit in\" Meeka yelled while she was still treating Zephyr's stab wound, he had fallen unconscious just as she started tending to him, \"almost there!\" Matias countered as he continued typing away, \"there that should be it!\" Matias called out as he took a deep breath while looking at his screen, finally resting his fingers from the war he had with Narche as Meeka eyed over to Flint and Kyara defending against Ion's continuous attacks when Ion's eyes suddenly widened, he dropped his ninjato and started to hunch over, clutching his chest. \"Sorry guys this was the only way\" Matias called out to a confused Flint and Kyara as they watched Ion collapse to the ground on his back, him still clutching his chest as his body violently contorted, \"Matias! what did you do?\" Flint called over looking at the young artificer, \"well to put it bluntly, I had to give him a heart attack\" Matias answered as Flint rushed to Ion's side. \"Matias, this is enough, get Ion's heart up and beating again!\" Flint yelled out but Matias stayed firm, \"I can't do that, the only way Ion's mind link to Narche can be severed at this point is for his biological body to shutdown, then all his cybernetics will shutdown once all the blood flow stops, the only way I can have it do that with the control I have left is to make him have a heart attack\" Matias answered angry at himself. \"But if that happens, if Ion's cybernetics fully shut down, he will... Ion will die, he is only alive because of them\" Flint responded as tears filled his eyes, he placed his hand on the side of Ion's face as Ion's eyes flashed small warnings as he struggled to breathe, his cybernetic heart was still in the process of shutting down, \"I can't take this! I can't let this happen!\" Flint said as he placed his hands on Ion's chest, readying to do CPR, \"Please Flint stop! Don't you think this is not hard on all of us? Ion asked me to make sure he didn't fall back into Narche's hands, even if it cost him his life, I promised him that and I will not let anyone make me break that promise\" Matias said as he sent a small text to Kyara who then pulled Flint away from Ion's body, his breathing slowed as the glow form his eyes faded, his cybernetic heart slowly made a few more beats before it ceased it's operations, the neon glow from Ion's augments faded away as he became full motionless, he had been fully shutdown. \"No... all this work, all this effort, for it all to end here I can't accept this, please Matias, there is still time, please reactivate his heart\" Flint begged, \"I am afraid that even if I wanted to, I can't anymore, the links to his cybernetic drive are now severed, both mine and Narche's, the only way to reactivate the drive is by manually doing it and with Ion's it can only be done at one of Narche's terminals with Ion plugged into it\" Matias said as Flint broke down, falling to his knees \"so you are saying he is truly gone then?\" Flint cried out, \"the way he is now, yes, if you want to keep him out of Narche's hands like he wanted\" Matias started saying as Flint became angry, \"but like I said, the way he is now, I planned to do this slowly over time to work out the kinks but now I have no choice\" Matias continued as Flint's ears perked up, \"no choice for what?\" Flint snarled still angry, \"to resynthesize and re-augment him fully without going piece by piece\" Matias answered as Flint's eyes widened.\n\n\"So you are talking about the Kyuubi drive?\" Meeka asked still tending to an unconscious Zephyr, \"it is untested, are you sure it will work?\" \"We don't have any other choice\" Matias said, \"Ion can't be reactivated now without Narche and he would rather die then go back to her, the only way is to set him up with a new drive, one that can be as powerful as Narche's for Ion's specific condition, my Kyuubi Drive is the only one that can\" Matias continued. \"What is the Kyuubi Drive?\" Flint asked as he got back up, \"basically a drive system that augments a person's body with nanotech combined with cybernetics, the nanotech can work on the cellular level to repair and replace dead cells of any type, in theory at least so it will still be good to preserve Ion's body as best as you can but that is not the only advantage of the small tech\" Matias replied getting excited again but Meeka cut in, \"basically my brother also has the idea that the nanotech can alter a person's shape and form, allowing them to change species to use their inert natural abilities while in combat situations, basically a cybernetic Kyuubi hence the name.\" \"Wait so you are saying we only saved him so he can be augmented further?\" Kyara suddenly said in an angry tone, \"this is not what I signed up for, if that is your plan then I will end him right here and now so there is nothing left! I will not have my efforts used so that cyber freaks can have new toys to play with\" Kyara continued as Meeka gave her an angry glare. \"Now you look here, you are the reason why he is in this mess in the first place, now you still have a debt to pay back to him for what I did for you!\" Meeka yelled at Kyara angerly, \"we can discuss this further latter, right now we need to get Zephyr into surgery before he is too far gone and we need to get Ion on ice to preserve his body until we can get him to Matias for the re-augmentation, now Kyara grab Ion and Flint help me with Zephyr, lets get underground and get these things in order first, then we can plan the next steps\" Meeka finished as Kyara grunted before going over to Ion's body and picking it up, Flint did the same to Zephyr's, placing it on his back as the group went into the faraday tunnel underground. After over ten minutes of navigating the underground maze, the group reached Meeka's underground medical centre, \"here, place Ion on one of the autopsy tables for now\" Meeka said opening up the door to her morgue, \"it is quite cold in here, it will help keep him preserved until we can transport him to Matias, but first we need to attend to Zephyr's injuries, Kyara I need you to help me with that as well as you Flint since I still perform surgery the old fashion way\" Meeka said as Kyara placed Ion's body on one of the holed metal tables, pulling down his eye lids to give him that somber sleeping look as Meeka ran ahead to her operating room with Flint quickly following suit, meanwhile Kyara went to get changed into scrubs in the nearby changing rooms before entering the operating room, seeing someone familiar in there, \"Lorelei what are you doing here? Get away from him!\" Kyara said to the small red fox attendant who had been hooking up devices to Zephyr, his body fully exposed as he had been stripped, \"she is one of my assistants, she is just doing her job\" Meeka said as she entered the room fully dressed in scrubs, Flint followed a short while after, dressed the same, \"you have me she doesn't need to be here, exposed to this\" Kyara said pointing to Zephyr, the fur on his belly stained dark with blood as it still oozed out from his stab wound, 'Kyara I am twenty, I am old enough to see naked boys\" Lorelei retorted as Kyara gave her a look, \"that is not what I mean, now leave, we have this covered\" Kyara replied as Lorelei didn't seam to listen, \"in a minute, just let me finish setting him up first, just need to insert his catheter and I will be done\" Lorelei countered, holding a small plastic tube while placing her finger over Zephyr's groin area, \"now Lorelei, I will handle the catheter\" Kyara said angerly, swiping the catheter out of Lorelei's hands, \"aw you are no fun\" Lorelei said as she started to leave the room, \"Kyara there was no need for that, you are too over protective, Lorelei, there is another boy in the morgue, I need you to go and get him prepped up, but not for an autopsy, get him cleaned up and ready for cold storage shipment\" Meeka said as Kyara gave her a look, \"ok, I will get on that\" Lorelei said in a cheerful tone as she left the room. \"Now since you insisted, please be careful while inserting it, don't want you scaring him up in there\" Meeka said turning towards Kyara as struggled a bit inserting Zephyr's catheter but she got it done, \"you know I don't want her around these boys\" Kyara started saying but Meeka gave her a look, \"it is not like they are going to do anything to her, especially Ion since well he is deceased at the moment, so you got nothing to worry about there\" Meeka retorted, \"you know what I mean\" Kyara cut in as Meeka shook her head, \"look she is not an innocent little kid anymore and she has interests in mine and Matias' fields, she needs to be allowed to experience some of it for herself unless you want to push her away.\" \"I do get your point but not with these boys, especially him in the other room\" Kyara cut back as Meeka gave her another look, \"you know she should meet him, it is his after all that she bares within her\" Meeka said in a stern voice as she switched the operating room equipment on and the sound of Zephyr's synthetic heart beats filled the room.\n\n\"Scalpel\" Meeka called out as Flint looked to the tray beside him and handed her the sharp tool, she then proceeded to make a large incision down Zephyr's belly as warm blood quickly spilled out, \"suction please\" Meeka said eyeing up to Kyara as she stuttered for a moment before grabbing another tube that made a small vacuum sound and proceeded to collect as much of Zephyr's spilled blood as she could, \"good, we need to conserve as much blood as we can as I don't have any matching his on hand and he has already lost quite a lot\" Meeka started saying as she continued cutting Zephyr open, \"if it comes to it, we can get a bit from Ion, he is O- so it will work but I rather not disturb anything about his body right now, same goes to you Kyara as you have the same blood type as him, I need you for something else soon and can't let you get woozy\" Meeka continued as she motioned to Flint for another scalpel looking tool which she then used to cauterize the incision she had made before using it to cut even deeper, it wasn't long before parts of Zephyr's intestines to poke through the incision, along with dark red blood from the injuries inside. \"Clamps please, two of them\" Meeka called to Flint as he handed her the desired tools, \"say Meeka, I was thinking, if Matias has to remove all of Narche's implants from Ion, that means the reality chips as well right?\" Flint started asking, \"I would assume so, but it is better to ask him, hey bro can you come on intercom for a minute\" Meeka called out as Flint looked a bit confused, \"what is it sis?\" Matias' voice said through a small loudspeaker, \"wait I though this whole area is faraday, how are you able to communicate with us?\" Flint asked as Matias made a small chuckle, \"we have a line connection link from Meeka's medical centre to my workshop in Corre, she need someone to watch over those patients that have cybernetic implants while she operates on them, that is where my systems come in, to help control those augments during this vital work\" Matias answered as Flint looked more confused, \"again I thought all of down here was faraday, in order to do as you say you need a mind link correct? How are you doing that remotely?\" Flint asked, \"you mean you have not noticed the cable attached to the port on the back of your friend's head?\" Matias replied as Flint quickly looked under the table near where Zephyr's head was, there was a cable going up through a hole in the headrest into the back of Zephyr's head, \"now I do\" Flint said a bit embarrassed, \"anyways my question is removing Narche's implants means removing Ion's current reality chips and replacing them with new ones of your making, what about his memories? I mean the memories of the last ten years after Kyara killed him, all those are stored there on those chips as his brain is basically read only currently\" Flint asked, \"don't worry about that, I was able to copy over all the memory data when I had him under mind link and the same goes for memories he was processing during that time as well, right up to about the point where you three separated to loose the security forces, I lost access then, so sorry anything after that point I will not be able to copy into the new chips as access to any information that is directly on the chips and not stored with me I can't get without directly accessing one of Narche's terminals right now\" Matias replied, \"well that's good, at least he has the important stuff\" Flint said in a relieved tone, \"and it is probably better that Ion doesn't remember stabbing Zephyr and attacking and almost killing me anyways, I am sure Zephyr would feel the same.\" \"I feel the same\" Matias added as Zephyr's surgery continued, with Meeka prying open Zephyr's belly with some retractors, \"don't worry, once you get him to me I will not sleep until I get him up and running again, he seamed excited about the possibilities when I told him about the Kyuubi Drive\" Matias started saying before he was cut off, \"wait you told Ion about it? when? When he was four years old, with the hole not seaming to close, surgery to intervene was his only option, at that time Ion was offered a cybernetic heart replacement option as a way to fully make sure no issues would arise from any complications going forward, as his heart was weakened a bit over the time they waited. Preliminary scans showed that the best way to preserve Ion's life was to implant a cybernetic heart but my dad knowing Ion's resolve from when he was four, programed the robotic surgeons to do what they could to preserve his natural heart and only as a last alternative, cut it out and replace with a cybernetic one. Ion never had any intension of modifying himself but after this accident it was the only way he could live normally, in those five years he had afterwards, not one single other cybernetic enhancement was implanted on him but you targeted him anyways, for having some without knowing the full story, decided he was not someone that deserved the gift of life and proceeded to take that from him just because he had a few cybernetic parts not of his own choosing, therefore causing him to become more cybernetic in an effort to preserve his life, handing him into the hands of that fiend Narche to do whatever she wanted to him, to become a slave to her technology experiments, he only 'jumped' at the chance for Matias' tech as it would free him from all that he was put through by her, nothing else!\" Meeka said as she finished her outburst, removing the last bits of Zephyr's damaged innards during it, \"you have all that to make up for, all of this is because of what you did, so that is why you are going to let Matias do what he need to do to get Ion back on his feet again, so he can finally have a somewhat normal life without the threat of Narche, you not only own him for that, you also own me for saving her life\" Meeka added as she started to stitch back up Zephyr's intestinal track, blood oozing from the areas she had cut away, as Kyara looked more somber.\n\n\"There is one thing I would like to ask if I may\" Kyara said as she started to look up, \"when I brought you Ion's heart, why did you agree to put it in Lorelei knowing full well it was your little brother's? Why didn't you refuse?\" \"Because that is not what Ion would have wanted?\" Meeka said as she continued stitching up Zephyr's intestines to stop the bleeding, \"at the state Ion would have been in, his biological heart would have been no use to him, but it could save another, even if that other could have been saved by a cybernetic one, but knowing you would refuse that, the best way to keep Ion's heart going with all he had been put through was to give it to her to save her life as well, I can assure you he will be happy to hear that, you can tell him when Matias gets him up and running again, which now least us to another thing\" Meeka continued on as she made more stitches, \"Zephyr will be fine now with only me and Flint finishing up the surgery on him, now get Ion's body and transport it to Matias in Corre, take Lorelei with you as Matias will need an assistant and she is the only one capable as you are no use in that regard\" Meeka started as Kyara grunted at the last remark, \"he needs to start working on his as soon as possible, I trust you to deliver him safe and sound\" Meeka said as Kyara nodded and left the operating room, \"now then Flint, let's finish up here so we can get there as soon as possible as well, Ion would love to see his two best friends when he get back up.\" Meeka continued as the surgery would last a few more hours. "Resist her, no matter what she says or promises resist her, we have a plan, we are going to get you out!" those words rang though Ion's head as he was sitting in a chair in Narche's lab as she was typing away on her computer, she had called him for a late-night session as she liked to call them, either it was for more painful experimentation or what seamed to be the case this time, sexual exploitation. "Ion, what are you still doing sitting in that chair, I told you to undress and come over here, I need my..." Narche started saying as Ion jumped up from the chair and stared towards her, "I will not!" he shouted, breathing heavy, his eyes widened at the person who's command he was disobeying, "what did I hear? You have no choice in this, now, you will..." Narche started saying in an angry tone, "No! No more, I am not doing this any longer, I had enough, what you put me through, what you put my body through, what you have taken away" Ion cut in with vigor, "oh what about all that I have given you, all that augmentation to combine with your natural protégéc ability" Narche started to counter but Ion was having none of it, "I never asked for any of that!" Ion shouted, "if I knew what you would have put me though, I would have rather died by Kyara's hand!" Ion yelled as Narche just shook her head, "well it is not like you have much of a choice" she said flipping up a cover on her arm bracer, Ion's eyes widen again as he knew what was coming, it was all too familiar, every part of him wanted to attack her, to prevent her from touching any of the buttons on that control pad but the programing she put on his reality chips in his brain prevented him from doing anything to harm her, she was right not matter what he really wanted, he was stuck. Ion strip and get on the operating table" Narche said after fiddling with some controls on her bracer, Ion stood there and nodded, while in his mind he was trying to fight back, his body was not under his own mind's control as he removed his clothes, exposing his naked, scared body from all the experimentation she had done to him the past ten years or so, though the deepest ones were from Kyara's attack, markings from all torture sessions she had put him through, all the surgery's she had done to his body to enhance and augment him into the perfect weapon as she would like to say but it was never enough, Ion didn't even know how much of his body internally or even sometimes externally was biological anymore, heck even what was between his legs was not his own anymore as Narche had it lobbed off despite Ion's pleas for in her eyes something bigger and better as his biological one could never get big enough for her satisfaction during the times she would throw herself on him, he was nothing more then a play things in all ways for her desires. He could take all the abuse she had thrown at him, all the physical, mental and sexual scaring but what she did there really hurt him to the soul, Ion wished he could just rip it off, having nothing there would be better then having that artificial toy of her's inside his sheath.

His body now moved on it's own towards the operating table in her lab as he slowly laid down on the cold metal slab, "good boy, now we can get to work" Narche said patting him on the head before running a finger down his body, she then got dressed in a surgical gown, before going over to a computer nearby the operating table and changing some of the sliders displayed there. Ion's mind raced, he never liked this room, constantly forced to lay on this table while his mind could experience everything she would do to him while his body would let it all happen, he couldn't move, couldn't speak, couldn't do anything she didn't want while they were all in here, he was noting more then a piece of machinery for her to work on while in this trance. Finishing up with the computer, Narche walked back over to the operating table and looked down on the stoic Ion, knowing that his eyes could see her, his mind could process what she was about to do but not do anything about it, "shall we begin? I need to do some 'tests' on that cybernetic heart of yours before I can get to 'fixing' up those reality chips" she said from behind her mask, raising up a scalpel and placing it on the top of his chest as Ion prepared himself mentally for Narche's physical punishment, he knew his heart was fine but this was just one of the ways she loved to torture him, going inside and 'playing' with his artificial heart, causing him excruciating agony while he would not be able to pass out, all for what she called 'data', no it was just another means of control for her, in a more literal sense. Ion felt the scalpel dig into his chest hard as he could tell this would be a more violent operation due to his disobedience, he knew his words would never stop her from performing any of the surgeries she would want to, aggravating her just always made them a lot more painful but he could no longer hold back, he had to start fighting back more one way or another, to show resolve even when faced with a less desirable outcome though this time was different, his friends said they had a plan to help, that this time he needed to refuse her advances and refuse them vigorously, "ok were the hell are you guys, I thought you said you had a plan!" Ion thought as Narche started to drag the scalpel down a bit, a trickle of blood leaked down his body. But only after making a small cut the lights in the lab suddenly went out, as did the computers monitoring all of Ion's systems, a generator kicked in and light came back to the screens but the computers were in the process of rebooting, "what the hell?" Narche angerly said as she went back to her main computer, more sensation came back to Ion as he was able to move his limbs again on his own as he sprang up from the operating table, "where do you think you are going?" Narche said giving Ion a look, "the doors auto lock where the power goes out, so there is no escape, now be a good boy and get back on the table, do that and I will go more gently on your surgery, I will turn off the pain receptors" Narche continued as Ion froze up, it was another way she had control over him, the promise of painless experimentation as again there was nothing Ion could do to stop her from what she wanted to do with him but if he was a 'good boy' in her eyes, she would reward him with a more comfortable experience with her experimentation, for all that Narche was at least she was always honest with her promises and right now Ion was seriously considering bending to her call, it would be a wanted momentarily moment of relaxation. But no, his friends had a plan and he needed to trust them, no matter the cost of his mind of body, "I will not" Ion said almost unsure of himself but he did stare back towards Narche like he was not going to back down as she growled angerly.

The power came back on as she was able to log backing to the computer, Ion looked down in thought, his friends had not come during there chance and Ion again now had to prepare to take the brunt of Narche's wrath, taking a deep breath he raised his head and eyed back to Narche who looked furious, "I gave you a chance, now you are going to regret not taking it" she angerly said typing away on the computer as Ion tried to calm himself knowing full well that any moment his body would be back under her control. But as the seconds, then minutes passed nothing happened, Ion was still able to move his body freely but he was almost scared stiff still sitting on the edge of the operating table as Narche stressfully continued typing away at her computer, "what the fuck? Why is nothing working?" she frustrating said as the door to the lab suddenly opened, "that's because we have your computer on lockdown" a familiar voice said as Flint rushed inside, followed by Zephyr, looking a bit surprised, Narche hit a button that placed a forcefield around her workstation for protection. "Ion's coming with us and there is nothing you can do" Flint continued as Narche laughed, "you think this is going to stop me, it will take me no time at all to re-hack into my computer and after that you will see just how powerful my weapon can be, you will not be able to run far enough in time" Narche threatened as her eyes glowed, "but I am merciful, I will forgive your trespass and promise not to experiment on Ion for the rest of today if you leave quietly" she countered as Flint shook his head, "you will not experiment on him ever again" he said as Narche looked angrier. "Come Ion, we need to get out of here as fast as we can" Zephyr said as he grabbed a hold of Ion's hand and started pulling him with them but Ion stopped and stood still, "no, I can't risk it, I can't... I don't want to have to..." Ion started saying, worried that any second he could turn on his friends at Narche's desire, "you said you trusted you to get you out, well do you or don't you?" Zephyr softly asked in a reassuring tone, holding out his hand once more, "I do but..." Ion started replying but was cut off, "then trust us to have a plan" Zephyr cut in as Ion thought about it for a moment and took hold back his friend's hand as the three boys ran out of the lab as Narche was furiously typing away trying to get back into her computer.

Ion asked as they hit the street, "well we needed to get Narche to start the surgery process on you, we noticed when she does it, she removes some of the safeties from your reality chips so she can more freely control them, more if she is going in for punishment" Flint started saying, "alright but what does that have to do with the plan?" Ion asked as Flint laughed, "think about it, with the safeties off, technically anyone who can match the mind link code can enter a person's cybernetic brain, have you not noticed it yet?" Flint asked as Ion just looked confused, "Matias, he is inside your head right now, putting up barriers and will be a frontline solder in the cyber mindscape once Narche tries to hack back in, it is our only defense against her until we can get you to a faraday location where we can hopefully disable her mind links to your cybernetics" Zephyr chimed in as Ion made a smile, "so my cousin is all behind this, how did you fine him? He has been missing for a while now" Ion asked with a bit more joyful expression, "he along with Meeka actually have been working with Kyara, they are part of a group called Rogues' Gallery who fight against the Cyber Hunters" Zephyr responded, "fitting name" Ion chimed in as they picked up the pace, "yes, though they have different goals, the have abilities each other needs to stand against them, we basically deflected to them as well and assume you will to once we are out of Eios" Zephyr continued, "this plan was all his idea, first to knock out Narche's computer to give him time to enter your mindscape and to setup the battle ground" Flint started saying as alarms started sounding in the city, "be advised, haywire rogue cyber ninjas are on the loose in old town, I repeat, haywire rogue cyber ninja's are on the loose in old town" speakers started calling out as regular pedestrians started rushing indoors as indicators started appearing around Ion, Flint and Zephyr, it was not long before security airships started appearing overhead and dropping of some forces, "looks like she has alerted central command" Flint said readying his bow as Zephyr readied his scythe, "let's make this quick we don't have a lot of time." Ion drew his ninjato readying to fight as a voice popped into his head, "looks like you are in a bit of a rough spot" Ion could hear Narche's words flowing in his mind as he gritted his teeth and eyed the security forces around him, "you can surrender and I promise all will be forgiven or you can hopelessly fight if you desire, would give me some more valuable data on my weapon, it doesn't matter either way to me as you will eventually come back into my hands, all that remains to be seen if those two will be alive to see it, it is your choice I will give you that freedom" Narche continued as Ion was in a bit of a panic. "Guy's she is back in my head!" Ion called out as Flint and Zephyr tensed up, "already? Matias what are you doing?" Zephyr yelled out as a small laugh could be heard in each of the boy's mind's, "don't worry, it is all a rouse, it is expected she can enable inner speech back while trying to re-connect her mind link, but I still have full control over Ion's mind, I will force her on mute so don't worry, fight away I will make sure you can reach the rendezvous point" Matias said through the mindscape, "insolent brat, you think you can out maneuver me with all tech I put in him, you are way out of your league" Narche countered in an angry tone as Matias laughed, "oh I know I can, you may be a prodigy artificer but you are not the only one, you are good but I am better!" Matias confidently said as Ion felt a slight dazyness in his head.

"Ion, just try to focus on fighting, I will keep her at bay anyway I can, I promise you I will get you out of her control" Matias said only to Ion's mind as he took a deep breath, "look, if it comes down to it, use any possible means to separate that link, and I do mean any way, if I don't make it to the endpoint, just know that if there is no way I can fall back into her hands, I will be externally grateful to you all, that would be enough, I would be at peace with that" Ion said in his mind in a determined voice as it hit hard to Matias, "I will try my best to not have to go down that road, but I do promise you, one way or another you will be there to see the end of it, even if I have to go down that road, I promise you will still be there in the end to see it my brother" Matias said in a determined and promising voice as Ion made a small laugh. "Going from being one's experiment to another's, I guess it is just my fate, well then I give you the ok, I trust you to take better care of me 'little' brother" Ion retorted, "you are always going to hold those three days over my head aren't you? Well then, that is one thing I can assure you of 'big' bro" Matias countered as Ion felt invigorated, the three boys made quick work of the security forces around but more started showing up. "Hey Matias, I do have one ask though" on started saying in his head, "what is it?" Matias asked in a soft tone, "I want this either way but in the event that I am deposed, I want you to make sure you remove one specific augment before I am burred" Ion continued in a somber tone, dodging attacks from the security forces while also countering, "the one that is between my legs, I want it gone!" There was a moments pause before Matias spoke, "you sure about that? You actually want me to remove your..." Matias started answering but was cut off, "it is no longer mine anymore, that bitch cut if off five years ago and installed this monstrosity on me, I have hated it ever since, I don't want to be burred with it still attached, I would rather have nothing there" Ion cut in with a serious tone, "I could change it out for something that more suits you, I have your natural body data from the mind link, different scans taken before each augment, I could recreate a one to one..." Matias started saying but was cut off again, "I don't want anything cybernetic, not for that place anyways" Ion cut in again as Matias sighed, "ok I get your point, I can come up with something that can give you the best of both worlds, something that is more natural with your own biological parts but have the capacity of something more cybernetic but not quite should you desire it from time to time, would fit well with the Kyuubi Drive" Matias said as Ion was a bit confused, 'Kyuubi Drive? What's that?' Ion asked, "the cybernetic augment package I plan on giving you to replace Narche's tech, if you want to be fully free from her, anything that is her's must be removed from your system, which in your case is almost impossible since the state of your biological body is almost nothing more then a corpse that is being animated by her secret tech" Matias started saying as Ion looked a bit annoyed by his last comment, "but there is nothing close like it out on the market since it is so experimentary and unknown, without changing all of it you would be stuck in faraday locations unable to go out into the world to prevent her from linking to you and I know you don't want that" Matias continued as that was a realization Ion never though about and a fear that even if he could escape, there was always that chance she could force him back with her tech in his body.

"That's why I had to develop something myself, ever since I heard how she 'saved' you, I have been interested in coming up with my own cybernetic drive to help other that were far gone beyond the saving of standard cybernetics and I think I came up with a better way, relying also on nanotechnology" Matias finished as Ion's interest was peaked. "Nanotech, so what is your idea with it?" Ion asked as Matias looked energized, "well for starters to create cybernetic parts that can mold functions to whatever you desire, whenever you need but not only that, to also repair things at the cellular level, even biological components, so that even bodies that are far gone can be reenergized and take on life saving cybernetics without having to fully commit to constant cybernetic augments, take your brain for example, without the reality chips in your head, you can't function Ion as you are essentially brain dead, your physical brain now only hold the memories from just up to when Kyara killed you and the realty chips now hold the rest and control your body functions, not just the cybernetics" Matias started answering, "but with the nanotech, I can have them over time continue to repair and recreate natural cells so that you have be able to regain normal functions of your biological parts, but that part is purely experimental but if it can be achieve, it would be world changing" Matias continued on, "well I am the perfect subject for that, sounds interesting to me" Ion said at Matias' remarks. "But the main thing I had in mind for this tech, at least for someone like you who is on the battle field is fluid body augmentation and ability boosts" Matias started again as Ion was very interested, "being able to shift your body structure around to change the dynamics of what you need at any given moment, like for example, need a bit more speed and evasion, then my tech could shapeshift your body to the form of a rabbit who has that natural ability, need more defense, then why not shapeshift to the form of a floof dragon and have an armor of scales and bit more strength to deal heavy blows when needed, well the body of a wolf would be perfect for that" Matias said in an excited tone as Ion was processing his words. "So what you are saying is that I can physically change my body or species type on the fly depending what I need for the situation?" Ion asked, "yep that is basically the idea, you would have different gears that are molded off different bases, I have he bunny and floof dragon base from scans of two of our other group members and I am hoping to get Kyara on board with the project but that might be hard, anyways since the nanotech works at the cellular level they can manipulate them so your body can take the shape and structure similar to what is on file, but with what is already naturally in your body make, so it is only a reconfiguration of what you look like as a different species with their traits, not a full copy of the referenced person" Matias answered as Ion cracked a smile, "so I guess this is why it is called the Kyuubi Drive, taking inspiration from those legendary shapeshifters?" Ion asked, "basically, others look down on nanotech as large cybernetics are what most are after but they don't realize the potential of stuff on the smaller scale and how it can be a more effective weapon, a different kind of cybernetic augment that pairs technology with the more biological parts of a person" Matias replied as chuckled, "stuff like that does sound more up my alley, you really do like think out of the box" Ion said as the fight against the security forces intensified, "alright, I am game, if this is what it fully takes to ever the link with Narche then I am really ready to become your experiment, again I trust you bro with this stuff then more then I can trust anyone else" Ion continued as Matias made a smile, "I will make sure that trust is not misplaced" Matias added as the fight now started to drag on.

"We are wasting time, come one we will just have to out run them, Matias, can you somehow block any of the trackers?" Flint called out as Matias made a sigh, "I can but it will reduce resources on Ion, though I think we can manage" Matias answered, "then do it!" Ion called out, "I am willing to take that risk, remember I trust you to pull through on what you said, one way or another" Ion continued as Flint and Zephyr looked at him curiously not knowing the conversation Ion had with Matias a little while back as the markers around the boys vanished and they started to run in multiple direction, "Ion don't worry, Matias will downlink the rendezvous point to you, we can all take separate paths, just make sure to loose the security forces before you do" Flint called out as Ion nodded and the boys went their separate ways, Ion dashed trough the city, going in and out of alleys as the area around him got quieter and more empty, he stood still for a moment, sword in hand as he looked around to take in his surroundings, nobody was there, he had lost the authorities. "I think I am in the clear, Matias can you tell me where I need to go?" Ion said in his mind but there was no answer, but a map point did show up in his eyes at the request, "must be busy fighting off Narche while scrambling the security force detectors, oh well it can't be helped" Ion thought as he started to make his way to the location marked in his eyes, indicators showed that Zephyr had already arrived and Flint was on his way, "lets see if I an get there first "Ion thought as he darted out in a race against his friend, cheerful at the fact of meeting back up with them while possibly not being under the threat of Narche. "Made it! and before Flint" Ion though as he smiled at the sight of Zephyr who waved over to him, walking over Ion was overjoyed with emotions, happiness, joyfulness and most important of all, bloodlust as Ion's eyes narrowed, a smile grinned his face as he thrusted his ninjato out, stabbing Zephyr in the stomach as he coughed up blood, looking up he could see a crazed expression on Ion's face as internally Ion was horrified, "I told you, you would pay for your disobedience" Narche's voice rang out in his head as he quickly pulled his ninjato out of Zephyr's gut, making him fall to the ground, "Zephyr!" Flint's voice called out as Ion turned towards his friend, "Ion, what are you doing?" Flint called out shaking, placing a hand over an arrow with his bow readied in his other hand, "no, not Ion... it is... Narche!" Zephyr wheezed out in pain as Flint lowered his stance, "hey Matias! What the hell is going on?" Flint called out but there was silence, "Matias answer!" "Sorry, I wanted to warn you but I needed to cut the mind link to the both of you as Narche had broken through one of my barriers and as able to create a back door, she then tried to hack into your guys reality chips but I had to cut the link to prevent that and refocus on retaking Ion's mind, I have been able to establish connections to his vitals and some body controls but full mind control is now under Narche's command, I am trying to break in and push her out, but you need to buy me time" Matias called out as Narche laughed, "there is not point now, I am in control of his most important part and will soon have the others, lets see how you like it when the tables in the mindscape are turned, come on 'prodigy' show me what you got!" Narche said challenging Matias, "I wouldn't give your hopes up Ion, there is no way he can 'save' you now, you should of listened to me when I gave you the chance, you had multiple of them, now you have to pay the price" Narche started saying as Ion's body readied for battle out of Ion's mind's control, "now all you have to do is kill your friend, that is the price you must pay!" Narche called out in the mindscape as Ion's body engaged Flint in combat.

"Flint, please try not to hurt Ion if you can, again I still have control over his vitals and some body controls, I can make his attacks slower while I try to regain full control of his mind, just remember this is all Narche doing this, not Ion!" Matias called out as Flint grunted, "don't you think I don't know that, but hurry" Flint said dodging Ion's attacks, "even slowed, I don't know how long I can hold out" Flint continued as he started struggling against Ion's relentless advances, while Flint was fast, Ion was faster even while slowed, he was too well modified with internal cybernetics compared to a way less modified Flint, it was only a matter of time before Ion landed an knock down blow as a tired Flint fell to the ground, he stared up at Ion, gritting his teeth, "don't worry, I know you can hear me, just know I don't blame you for any of this" Flint said in a soft voice seaming accepting his fate, "just get back at Narche for me, ok" Flint continued as Ion raised his ninjato overhead as Zephyr screamed out "please stop!", Ion wanted to, in his mind he didn't want any of this but his body would not respond to him, "please Matias, do something!" Zephyr continued as Matias typed away on his computer remotely vigorously, "I don't think I can... I am sorry, she is just gaining back too much control" he said with a tear running down his face, Ion started to swing his ninjato as Flint prepared to be struct, but before the metal touched his fur, Ion was forcefully knocked away by a large figure who quickly ran into the fray. "If you can't even do something this simple, the how are you ever suppose to support you so called friend" a female grey wolf wearing red neon said as she looked Flint in the eyes, "Kyara! Glad to see you!" Flint said joyfully as Kyara made a smirk, "just be lucky we were in the area" she responded as Meeka also appeared and rushed over to the injured Zephyr and attended to his wounds, "though you said you could handle the extraction on your own, that you wouldn't need my help" Kyara said in a snide voice as Ion went to attack her but she easily punched him back to the ground, "it was more for Ion's sake, you might of startled him if you came with us" Flint retorted, "ya well look where that ended up" Kyara responded as Flint made a small smile, "now will you help me deal with your friend? Don't worry, I won't kill him again, I owe you that much but when this is over, my debt is paid!" Kyara side as Flint nodded, the tow of them continued to fight against Ion carefully, trying to give Matias the time to retake control. "Hey Matias, can you give me an ETA on how long this is going to take?" Kyara called out as Matias got frustrated, "Narche is good, this is going to take time if I can ever get back in, her walls are a lot stronger then I expected" Matias answered as Kyara growled, "well think of something fast, she has our location now, even with security sensors dampened she can just give them our location based on Ion's mind link, this is why I hate these god dammed cybernetics!" Matias worked tirelessly away trying to regain control of Ion but it was coming clear it was no use, he was locked out from his main mindscape, Narche would not allow anyone else to enter, his only hope now was to fully sever the link, with what control he had left, "guys I lost control over his mind links, there is no way I can get them back right now, but..." Matias said as he vigorously worked away in his computer, "I still have control over his vitals, she has not gotten that back yet, probably still worried about loosing his mind link again or she may think I would never do this..... sorry Ion, I tried to get you out unscathed but I will keep my promise, this may hurt but it is the only way out now, I just whish it didn't have to come to this" Matias said in his mind as he continued typing.

"Matias, whatever your plan is hurry! they are running out of time, who know when Ion will get another hit in" Meeka yelled while she was still treating Zephyr's stab wound, he had fallen unconscious just as she started tending to him, "almost there!" Matias countered as he continued typing away, "there that should be it!" Matias called out as he took a deep breath while looking at his screen, finally resting his fingers from the war he had with Narche as Meeka eyed over to Flint and Kyara defending against Ion's continuous attacks when Ion's eyes suddenly widened, he dropped his ninjato and started to hunch over, clutching his chest. "Sorry guys this was the only way" Matias called out to a confused Flint and Kyara as they watched Ion collapse to the ground on his back, him still clutching his chest as his body violently contorted, "Matias! what did you do?" Flint called over looking at the young artificer, "well to put it bluntly, I had to give him a heart attack" Matias answered as Flint rushed to Ion's side. "Matias, this is enough, get Ion's heart up and beating again!" Flint yelled out but Matias stayed firm, "I can't do that, the only way Ion's mind link to Narche can be severed at this point is for his biological body to shutdown, then all his cybernetics will shutdown once all the blood flow stops, the only way I can have it do that with the control I have left is to make him have a heart attack" Matias answered angry at himself. "But if that happens, if Ion's cybernetics fully shut down, he will... Ion will die, he is only alive because of them" Flint responded as tears filled his eyes, he placed his hand on the side of Ion's face as Ion's eyes flashed small warnings as he struggled to breathe, his cybernetic heart was still in the process of shutting down, "I can't take this! I can't let this happen!" Flint said as he placed his hands on Ion's chest, readying to do CPR, "Please Flint stop! Don't you think this is not hard on all of us? Ion asked me to make sure he didn't fall back into Narche's hands, even if it cost him his life, I promised him that and I will not let anyone make me break that promise" Matias said as he sent a small text to Kyara who then pulled Flint away from Ion's body, his breathing slowed as the glow form his eyes faded, his cybernetic heart slowly made a few more beats before it ceased it's operations, the neon glow from Ion's augments faded away as he became full motionless, he had been fully shutdown. "No... all this work, all this effort, for it all to end here I can't accept this, please Matias, there is still time, please reactivate his heart" Flint begged, "I am afraid that even if I wanted to, I can't anymore, the links to his cybernetic drive are now severed, both mine and Narche's, the only way to reactivate the drive is by manually doing it and with Ion's it can only be done at one of Narche's terminals with Ion plugged into it" Matias said as Flint broke down, falling to his knees "so you are saying he is truly gone then?" Flint cried out, "the way he is now, yes, if you want to keep him out of Narche's hands like he wanted" Matias started saying as Flint became angry, "but like I said, the way he is now, I planned to do this slowly over time to work out the kinks but now I have no choice" Matias continued as Flint's ears perked up, "no choice for what?" Flint snarled still angry, "to resynthesize and re-augment him fully without going piece by piece" Matias answered as Flint's eyes widened.

"So you are talking about the Kyuubi drive?" Meeka asked still tending to an unconscious Zephyr, "it is untested, are you sure it will work?" "We don't have any other choice" Matias said, "Ion can't be reactivated now without Narche and he would rather die then go back to her, the only way is to set him up with a new drive, one that can be as powerful as Narche's for Ion's specific condition, my Kyuubi Drive is the only one that can" Matias continued. "What is the Kyuubi Drive?" Flint asked as he got back up, "basically a drive system that augments a person's body with nanotech combined with cybernetics, the nanotech can work on the cellular level to repair and replace dead cells of any type, in theory at least so it will still be good to preserve Ion's body as best as you can but that is not the only advantage of the small tech" Matias replied getting excited again but Meeka cut in, "basically my brother also has the idea that the nanotech can alter a person's shape and form, allowing them to change species to use their inert natural abilities while in combat situations, basically a cybernetic Kyuubi hence the name." "Wait so you are saying we only saved him so he can be augmented further?" Kyara suddenly said in an angry tone, "this is not what I signed up for, if that is your plan then I will end him right here and now so there is nothing left! I will not have my efforts used so that cyber freaks can have new toys to play with" Kyara continued as Meeka gave her an angry glare. "Now you look here, you are the reason why he is in this mess in the first place, now you still have a debt to pay back to him for what I did for you!" Meeka yelled at Kyara angerly, "we can discuss this further latter, right now we need to get Zephyr into surgery before he is too far gone and we need to get Ion on ice to preserve his body until we can get him to Matias for the re-augmentation, now Kyara grab Ion and Flint help me with Zephyr, lets get underground and get these things in order first, then we can plan the next steps" Meeka finished as Kyara grunted before going over to Ion's body and picking it up, Flint did the same to Zephyr's, placing it on his back as the group went into the faraday tunnel underground. After over ten minutes of navigating the underground maze, the group reached Meeka's underground medical centre, "here, place Ion on one of the autopsy tables for now" Meeka said opening up the door to her morgue, "it is quite cold in here, it will help keep him preserved until we can transport him to Matias, but first we need to attend to Zephyr's injuries, Kyara I need you to help me with that as well as you Flint since I still perform surgery the old fashion way" Meeka said as Kyara placed Ion's body on one of the holed metal tables, pulling down his eye lids to give him that somber sleeping look as Meeka ran ahead to her operating room with Flint quickly following suit, meanwhile Kyara went to get changed into scrubs in the nearby changing rooms before entering the operating room, seeing someone familiar in there, "Lorelei what are you doing here? Get away from him!" Kyara said to the small red fox attendant who had been hooking up devices to Zephyr, his body fully exposed as he had been stripped, "she is one of my assistants, she is just doing her job" Meeka said as she entered the room fully dressed in scrubs, Flint followed a short while after, dressed the same, "you have me she doesn't need to be here, exposed to this" Kyara said pointing to Zephyr, the fur on his belly stained dark with blood as it still oozed out from his stab wound, 'Kyara I am twenty, I am old enough to see naked boys" Lorelei retorted as Kyara gave her a look, "that is not what I mean, now leave, we have this covered" Kyara replied as Lorelei didn't seam to listen, "in a minute, just let me finish setting him up first, just need to insert his catheter and I will be done" Lorelei countered, holding a small plastic tube while placing her finger over Zephyr's groin area, "now Lorelei, I will handle the catheter" Kyara said angerly, swiping the catheter out of Lorelei's hands, "aw you are no fun" Lorelei said as she started to leave the room, "Kyara there was no need for that, you are too over protective, Lorelei, there is another boy in the morgue, I need you to go and get him prepped up, but not for an autopsy, get him cleaned up and ready for cold storage shipment" Meeka said as Kyara gave her a look, "ok, I will get on that" Lorelei said in a cheerful tone as she left the room. "Now since you insisted, please be careful while inserting it, don't want you scaring him up in there" Meeka said turning towards Kyara as struggled a bit inserting Zephyr's catheter but she got it done, "you know I don't want her around these boys" Kyara started saying but Meeka gave her a look, "it is not like they are going to do anything to her, especially Ion since well he is deceased at the moment, so you got nothing to worry about there" Meeka retorted, "you know what I mean" Kyara cut in as Meeka shook her head, "look she is not an innocent little kid anymore and she has interests in mine and Matias' fields, she needs to be allowed to experience some of it for herself unless you want to push her away." "I do get your point but not with these boys, especially him in the other room" Kyara cut back as Meeka gave her another look, "you know she should meet him, it is his after all that she bares within her" Meeka said in a stern voice as she switched the operating room equipment on and the sound of Zephyr's synthetic heart beats filled the room.

"Scalpel" Meeka called out as Flint looked to the tray beside him and handed her the sharp tool, she then proceeded to make a large incision down Zephyr's belly as warm blood quickly spilled out, "suction please" Meeka said eyeing up to Kyara as she stuttered for a moment before grabbing another tube that made a small vacuum sound and proceeded to collect as much of Zephyr's spilled blood as she could, "good, we need to conserve as much blood as we can as I don't have any matching his on hand and he has already lost quite a lot" Meeka started saying as she continued cutting Zephyr open, "if it comes to it, we can get a bit from Ion, he is O- so it will work but I rather not disturb anything about his body right now, same goes to you Kyara as you have the same blood type as him, I need you for something else soon and can't let you get woozy" Meeka continued as she motioned to Flint for another scalpel looking tool which she then used to cauterize the incision she had made before using it to cut even deeper, it wasn't long before parts of Zephyr's intestines to poke through the incision, along with dark red blood from the injuries inside. "Clamps please, two of them" Meeka called to Flint as he handed her the desired tools, "say Meeka, I was thinking, if Matias has to remove all of Narche's implants from Ion, that means the reality chips as well right?" Flint started asking, "I would assume so, but it is better to ask him, hey bro can you come on intercom for a minute" Meeka called out as Flint looked a bit confused, "what is it sis?" Matias' voice said through a small loudspeaker, "wait I though this whole area is faraday, how are you able to communicate with us?" Flint asked as Matias made a small chuckle, "we have a line connection link from Meeka's medical centre to my workshop in Corre, she need someone to watch over those patients that have cybernetic implants while she operates on them, that is where my systems come in, to help control those augments during this vital work" Matias answered as Flint looked more confused, "again I thought all of down here was faraday, in order to do as you say you need a mind link correct? How are you doing that remotely?" Flint asked, "you mean you have not noticed the cable attached to the port on the back of your friend's head?" Matias replied as Flint quickly looked under the table near where Zephyr's head was, there was a cable going up through a hole in the headrest into the back of Zephyr's head, "now I do" Flint said a bit embarrassed, "anyways my question is removing Narche's implants means removing Ion's current reality chips and replacing them with new ones of your making, what about his memories? I mean the memories of the last ten years after Kyara killed him, all those are stored there on those chips as his brain is basically read only currently" Flint asked, "don't worry about that, I was able to copy over all the memory data when I had him under mind link and the same goes for memories he was processing during that time as well, right up to about the point where you three separated to loose the security forces, I lost access then, so sorry anything after that point I will not be able to copy into the new chips as access to any information that is directly on the chips and not stored with me I can't get without directly accessing one of Narche's terminals right now" Matias replied, "well that's good, at least he has the important stuff" Flint said in a relieved tone, "and it is probably better that Ion doesn't remember stabbing Zephyr and attacking and almost killing me anyways, I am sure Zephyr would feel the same." "I feel the same" Matias added as Zephyr's surgery continued, with Meeka prying open Zephyr's belly with some retractors, "don't worry, once you get him to me I will not sleep until I get him up and running again, he seamed excited about the possibilities when I told him about the Kyuubi Drive" Matias started saying before he was cut off, "wait you told Ion about it? when? I never hear of him mentioning this before" Flint asked, "that's because it was only when you guys were fighting the security forces, I only had a comm like open to him at the time as I was fighting off Narche, I made a promise to him that I would get him out of Narche's control and told him how I was going to do it, he countered that he wanted to break free even if it meant death for him but I also reassured him that even if it had to come to the point where he had to die during the extraction I had a plan to being him back, I was hoping it was not going to come to that but here we are, he said it sounded like it was his kind of augment and trusted me to take care of him right, so I am excited to work on giving it to him, as well as the one other promise I made" Matias finished, saying the last part very quite as Kyara looked a bit annoyed.

"I am still against this, all the more so that Ion agreed to this Kyuubi thing even before we had to give him a heart attack, he is jut no different then any other cyber junkie, only caring about how much he can modify himself, that is why I took his heart in the first place" Kyara said a bit angered as Meeka took a deep breath as she cut out a part of Zephyr's damaged intestine, trying not to show her frustration. "Kyara, the nanotech works with a person's biological components not just their cybernetic ones, I figure you of all people would be on board with a concept like this" Matias said from the loudspeaker, "it still all sounds the same to me, there is no difference I can ascertain" Kyara retorted as Matias made a sigh, "there is a big one, the nanobots, these are the things that work at the cellular level, they can repair and even replace any damaged cell..." Matias started saying but was cut off, "you already explained that but all I see is more technology inserted into a person's body" Kyara countered, "well what do you think repair or even replace cells actually means? If you think about it, repair means they get to keep what's there biologically, replace, as in they can utilized other biological cells to reproduce themselves to create new ones, and with that they can continue building biologically, if this can be harnessed fully really think what that means" Matias pointed out as Kyara took a moment in thought before realizing, "do you man they can recreate anything biological on a person? Like giving someone back a severed arm for instance? Re-growing it?" Kyara asked, "in theory yes, that is the ultimate goal of mine, to see if that can be done and with Ion I do have the perfect person to help with figuring it out, the nanobots I will implant into him may not be the ones that can eventually recreate something like a limb but we can start small, maybe getting his physical brain to partially functioning power, where he doesn't have to fully rely on the reality chips to essentially be alive, they can also be tested on seeing if they can close a wound fast which will be help on the battlefield, might not replace the skills of a surgeon like my sis but will at least prevent a person from dying" Matias started answering, "it is like having millions of little protectors inside of you ready at you aid." "Then there in lies a big problem" Kyara suddenly said, "you have millions of these machines inside of you, all can turn against you if someone hacked them, leaving you more defenseless then just one or two augments, this sounds way worse then the current program." "But the nanobots are not really reprogrammable, at least in that way" Matias started saying as Kyara's interest peeked, "they have one set goal that is the same for all of them, to aid in the function of the user anyway they can , it just so happens I have created ones that can remold cells to change a person's makeup and shape if they so desire, giving them the natural abilities of whatever species that is mapped into their programming, they can only be controlled by the will of the user and no one else" Matias continued but Kyara had some doubts, "but what if that person is controlled by other means, like with Ion and the reality chips? It might be his will but if his will is controlled by someone else then what is the difference?" Kyara retorted, "but their will is still there isn't it? When Ion was controlled by Narche, his mind could still process what was going on but couldn't control back his body, basically like being locked in, these nanobots are only controlled by that part of the mind of the user, those inner links controlled by that person's actual brainwave, one that can't be interfered with by reality chips or mind links as those can't reproduce that brainwave they lock onto, nothing artificial can, so in essence, these are also the perfect defense for such attacks as they can counter control a mind hacker" Matias finished. "Again this all just seams like nonsensical talk from cyber junkies to defend any new tech they want to implant on themselves, Ion is no different, hears about surprising new tech that promises the world to him and jumps on it without a second thought, I stand by what I said" Kyara said as Meeka took another deep breath to stop her from exploding out in anger, she quickly placed a few more clamps into Zephyr's innards before resting the other tools she was using on the tray by Flint, "I will let you in on a little story" Meeka said at Kyara's remarks as she turned towards Meeka, giving her a curious look.

"Ion was born with a atrial septal defect, basically a hole in his heart between both his atriums, this caused him to be quite sickly as a young boy, going in and out of the hospital for minor procedures as the doctors waited to see if the hole would close on it's own. When he was four years old, with the hole not seaming to close, surgery to intervene was his only option, at that time Ion was offered a cybernetic heart replacement option as a way to fully make sure no issues would arise from any complications going forward, as his heart was weakened a bit over the time they waited. But Ion refused, said he wanted to keep his own heart for as long as possible and was willing to undergo whatever it took to make that happen, with his condition, a minimally invasive surgery was not an option and he had to undergo full open heart surgery at the age of four to get that hole closed but the repair held though all the years, up to when he was ten when another incident happened, another one you should know about" Meeka started saying as Kyara looked puzzled. "During a training program in a simulator, Ion as well as both his friends Flint and Zephyr were all critically injured when a plasma grenade thrown by Flint ricocheted off a glitched wall to near where they were standing, usually this would be a non issue but someone had tampered with the equipment they were using and the grenade was not a simulation grenade, it was a real one, exploding at close range, sending the boys flying in multiple directions and causing heavy damage. Zephyr has one of his legs blown clean off while the other was mangled beyond repair, that is why as you can see both is legs are cybernetic" Meeka continued pointing to Zephyr's exposed legs on the operating table, "Flint has his abdomen blown out causing him to lose most of his natural digestive tract and Ion, well in a way he kind of got the worst of it being the closest to the grenade itself. His left arm was blown off, basically disintegrated as there was almost no remains of it found in the aftermath, his eyes were marred to the point no vision would ever return to them and on top of that, his body was violently hit by shrapnel from the grenade, with one piece flying straight into his heart" Meeka continued more as Kyara looked even more confused. "How do you know all of that?" Kyara asked as Flint made a small chuckle, while Meeka gave a small laugh, "well you see, Ion is my cousin, basically like my little brother actually when we were young all of us, Ion, Flint, Zephyr, Matias and me would hang out from time to time" she answered before being cut off, "wait I thought Matias was your brother? You know the one who is creating that devilish cybernetic Kyuubi Gear or whatever it is called" Kyara asked, "well yes and again the Kyuubi Drive is the only thing that can save Ion now, you have to accept that" Meeka replied, "but Ion is also that way to me, they are the same age though Ion is a bit older then my actual brother, by three days as he never lets him live that down, Ion is also an only child and with him being sickly early on he basically had no friends, only really me and Matias to keep him company until these two entered his life" Meeka continued pointing to Flint and Zephyr respectively, "hell after his injury he needed someone to be there for him, someone who was family and who better not then a big sister who could take care of her little brother in a time of need, I remember before he got his cybernetic eyes on how I would hold his hand and take him on walks through the hospital wards to help get his strength back, help him bathe when he only had the use of one arm, read him stories as he could not himself" Meeka continued more as Kyara looked a bit down.

"But that is not the point of my story" Meeka interjected, "Ion as well as Flint and Zephyr, were brought to my dad's hospital for treatment, Ion was still in cardiac arrest from the piece of shrapnel stabbed in his heart, he was hooked up to a blood pumping device that kept blood flowing through his body basically from the time medics could get to him but his heart was still down for some time. Preliminary scans showed that the best way to preserve Ion's life was to implant a cybernetic heart but my dad knowing Ion's resolve from when he was four, programed the robotic surgeons to do what they could to preserve his natural heart and only as a last alternative, cut it out and replace with a cybernetic one. The surgery was hours long but in the end they were successful with getting his natural heart up and beating again, I remember watching every minute of it, it was the first surgery I was allowed to view in on during my early studies, his beaten body with bloody eyes, left arm missing with a gaping hole in his chest, seeing his little heart beat again with all the smiles on the other medic's faces afterwards with the tireless efforts of making it happen as Ion was grateful at least his natural heart was still there in the end with all that happened, until you took it from him five years latter, quite possibility all the pain and suffering for nothing" Meeka closed in a more angered tone as she continued back on Zephyr's surgery, Kyara had to look away, her eyes now meeting Flint's who's also looked fairly angry. "Then what about what he lost? Are you suggesting that a ten-year-old boy should go through the rest of his life without the use of one of his arms? Without the use of his eyes to see? Tell me Kyara, do you think that is fair?" Meeka asked as she looked back up at Kyara as she remained silent, "biological replacements could not work in this situation, only cybernetic replacements could get Ion back to leading a normal life, you see these things are not overly devilish, sometimes they are needed to get those broken back on their feet, to live normally. Ion never had any intension of modifying himself but after this accident it was the only way he could live normally, in those five years he had afterwards, not one single other cybernetic enhancement was implanted on him but you targeted him anyways, for having some without knowing the full story, decided he was not someone that deserved the gift of life and proceeded to take that from him just because he had a few cybernetic parts not of his own choosing, therefore causing him to become more cybernetic in an effort to preserve his life, handing him into the hands of that fiend Narche to do whatever she wanted to him, to become a slave to her technology experiments, he only 'jumped' at the chance for Matias' tech as it would free him from all that he was put through by her, nothing else!" Meeka said as she finished her outburst, removing the last bits of Zephyr's damaged innards during it, "you have all that to make up for, all of this is because of what you did, so that is why you are going to let Matias do what he need to do to get Ion back on his feet again, so he can finally have a somewhat normal life without the threat of Narche, you not only own him for that, you also own me for saving her life" Meeka added as she started to stitch back up Zephyr's intestinal track, blood oozing from the areas she had cut away, as Kyara looked more somber.

"There is one thing I would like to ask if I may" Kyara said as she started to look up, "when I brought you Ion's heart, why did you agree to put it in Lorelei knowing full well it was your little brother's? Why didn't you refuse?" "Because that is not what Ion would have wanted?" Meeka said as she continued stitching up Zephyr's intestines to stop the bleeding, "at the state Ion would have been in, his biological heart would have been no use to him, but it could save another, even if that other could have been saved by a cybernetic one, but knowing you would refuse that, the best way to keep Ion's heart going with all he had been put through was to give it to her to save her life as well, I can assure you he will be happy to hear that, you can tell him when Matias gets him up and running again, which now least us to another thing" Meeka continued on as she made more stitches, "Zephyr will be fine now with only me and Flint finishing up the surgery on him, now get Ion's body and transport it to Matias in Corre, take Lorelei with you as Matias will need an assistant and she is the only one capable as you are no use in that regard" Meeka started as Kyara grunted at the last remark, "he needs to start working on his as soon as possible, I trust you to deliver him safe and sound" Meeka said as Kyara nodded and left the operating room, "now then Flint, let's finish up here so we can get there as soon as possible as well, Ion would love to see his two best friends when he get back up." Meeka continued as the surgery would last a few more hours. Meanwhile Kyara got changed back into her runner outfit, after taking a quick shower to get any residual blood or any other internal component from helping with Zephyr's surgery, walking back into the morgue area when she had left Ion's body which was now in the care of Lorelei, walking in she could see that Ion had been fully stripped, his nude body laying there on the morgue table seamed to have been recently drenched in freezing cold water,, gathered by the bits of ice snagged to his fur, Lorelei though seamed preoccupied as she had pried Ion's mouth open and was moving her fingers around his teeth. "What are you doing?" Kyara asked a startled Lorelei, "Oh... um... just looking for any bits of injury or trauma, normally when we get bodies in here, there are very obvious wounds or signs on how they did, I was just wondering what did him in?" Lorelei frantically answered, "heart attack... basically... he had a heart attack just before we were able to get him here" Kyara answered, "oh, so this was the guy you were asked to retrieve?" Lorelei asked as Kyara nodded, "oh... sorry he didn't make it, it's a shame though as he is really cute, would of loved to put the moves on him" Lorelei said making a smirk as Kyara bonked her on the head, "come on, we have a job to do" Kyara interjected as Lorelei finished up, "yes, yes, I know, putting him into a cold box and sending him off to a butchery and so on" Lorelei started saying as Kyara shook her head, "not quite, yes we are going to put him into a cold box but we are not shipping him to a butchery" Kyara said as Lorelei looked confused, "he is, as much as I don't like it, going to be Matias' next experiment for some new tech he is developing" Kyara answered. "So they are going to revive him? Is that possible? I thought when you were fully dead like he is, cybernetics can't bring you back" Lorelei countered, "well it has been done before to him, he actually died ten years ago, at least the first time" Kyara replied. "Really? Never heard of something like that but I guess it is possible, I mean it explains the shear amount of scars he has under his fur, he must have been through hundreds of surgeries" Lorelei said as Kyara gave her a look, she then went over to Ion's body and pulled back parts of his fur to see the hidden marks that were all throughout, no doubt made by one person after listening to Meeka's story, a situation she herself placed him in, "sounds like it's a sad story, what happened to him..." Lorelei added as Kyara continued examining Ion's body. She then ran her finger down the larger more visible scar that ran down the side of his chest, a marking she was familiar with, "those ones look different though" Lorelei said as she noticed Kyara examining Ion's larger scars, "they seam to predate most of the other ones, looks like he went through something very violent with those, maybe those are..." Lorelei continued as Kyara turned towards her, "Lorelei, there is something I need to tell you" Kyara started saying as Lorelei looked her in the eyes, "this boy... Ion, he is the reason why you are alive today, ten ears ago... when your heart was... when you needed a transplant and... I went out looking for a heart to give to you, a real one not a cybernetic monstrosity" Kyara tried to continue, "yes I know, there was none available and I was about to get a cybernetic one but then just before the operation, a real one became available, you found one on the black market and you got Meeka to implant it in me, I was a little distraught at the time about it but I am over it now so what are you getting at?" Lorelei asked.

"Well, I didn't exactly get it from the black market, I targeted some people with cybernetic implants and tore out the hearts of them, Ion being one of them, same with Zephyr in the other room" Kyara confessed as Lorelei looked a little shocked, "Zephyr's, along with a few other's I pulled were not match for you but Ion's was and even after knowing who it came from as I didn't know Ion and Meeka were related, Meeka decided to implant it in you to save your life so his heart could live on as I killed him and giving it back to him would not change that, on a promise I would be eternally be indebted to her and her family, which as you can see, includes Ion" Kyara continued as Lorelei tried to process the information. "So those large scars, you gave them to him, for my sake?" Lorelei asked looking Kyara in the eyes as she had to look away, "yes and I am sorry, you mean everything to me and I panicked when they were going to augment you, I thought I had to find a way, any way to save you from that fate when I should of just let it happen" Kyara said with tears running down her face, "it's ok, really, what's done is done, you can't change what you did just how you go about things from here, starting with him" Lorelei said pointing to Ion, "yes, I know that, that is why against my better judgement I am helping to get him to Matias, so he can bring him back again and I can tell him the who story, my story" Kyara answered as Lorelei placed a hand on her shoulder, "I will be there beside you when you do, to show him at least his heart went to a good home, it might help with his healing process" Lorelei added, "besides, if he can really be brought back, I do want to get to know him more, not just because he is cute but because I want to know what kind of person who's heart is beating inside of me." Lorelei continued as Kyara made a small smile. "Come one, we should get going' Kyara said lifting Ion's body in her arms, "the sun is about to come up, the delivery trucks will be leaving soon and we need to get his body on one of them heading for Corre, we will be guarding it the whole way, you and me" Kyara continued as both her and Lorelei left the morgue and headed to the shipping section of the faraday network, the sun starting to rise after their eventful night as Narche got little sleep from dealing with the fallout and reports she had to make about the attack on her lab. "I don't have to mention every detail, just that two cyber Hunters went haywire attacking their friend while he was under my care, Ion's classification of being changed to KIA in the system by those Rogues' Gallery actually works in my favor" Narche thought to herself as she walked to her lab after the meetings with the other directors, "the project is not quite ready but after nine revisions, it will have to do, can't let them see that Ion's body is missing though, guess that is where revision eight will come in, I can fake an autopsy of that, but in terms of the real thing, I will need to have that cleaned up" she continued thinking while she entered her lab, making sure the doors closed behind her before opening a hidden door from behind her research shelves and stepping inside another lab like room. This one was dark, drenched in the smell of blood and oil from the more wicked experiments she had been working on, ones secret to everyone but herself, jars of different organs lined shelves at the back of the room with the same series of letters and numbers written on them, except for the last digit, there was a familiar looking arctic fox like creature chained up nearby with bullet holes all over it's body and some of it's limbs removed with the label R7 prefixed to it while another similarly looking one prefixed with R8 was on an autopsy table that looked like a dissection had been started on it. "I have no choice, whether the project is ready or not, revision nine will have to do, I wish I had more time with my precious weapon but sometimes you just need to move on to something new, something more perfect, if that Rogues' Gallery want to classify him as deceased to keep us off their trail, well then I need to make sure he actually stays that way, along with the rest of them all" Narche said as she walked over to a large tub filled with liquid and another arctic looking fox body inside that was labeled X-I0N-Y-R9, pressing a button, the liquid drained as the creature dropped to the ground, coughing up whatever liquid was stuck in it's throat as the tube raised up exposing it's body to the cold lab air, "come now my son, we have work to do."
