Confused he tried to remember what had just transpired, he and Zephyr were in a fight against a tough target, Zephyr was about to receive a killing blow but Ion had jumped in front of it, he remember the sword slashing across his face, the sight of his arm flying off in the distance and... the sword being plunged into his gut. In a small panic, Ion checked himself over to see his left arm still attached to him, no cut down his belly or on his nose, he felt relieved but only for a moment as he took a closer look down on the chaos below him as he felt his heart sink, he looked to be in a hospital with doctors moving all around a severely injured patient lying on a gurney, only that patient was him, unconscious with blood dripping down his face, his coat cut open revealing the large gash down his belly that was bleeding profusely. \"Am I...\" Ion started to say before another voice finished his sentence \"Dead?\" Ion turned around to see another person floating over the chaos below, only this person was a familiar sight, one he had not seen in many years as he continued to speak, \"well not quite... at least not like I am\" Ion looked in shock at the person in front of him, it was Flint, a friend that had passed away almost four years ago, was he sent here to take him to the other side? Ion didn't know what to think but Flint tried to reassure him, \"don't worry there is life left for you to live but not only your body was damaged in that attack, your soul as well which you can see as you are much more transparent them me.\" Ion looked at Flint and then back to himself, he was right, while they both did look ghostly, Ion was a bit more transparent then his friend and he looked to be fading even more. Ion started to panic, he didn't want to die, not like this but again Flint tried to reassure him, reaching out his hand towards Ion he spoke softly \"but I can help you live again, your soul was fractured but I can make it whole again, take my hand and we can rejoin the waking world.\" \n\nIon was taken aback, he was scared as he closed up his arms, he didn't want to be taken to the other side, while Flint was his friend, he was dead, that would be his only reason to be here at this moment to calmly take him away. Ion refused Flint's hand as he looked a little shocked, \"well the choice is yours but you don't have a lot of time, again your soul is fractured and without a complete spirit to hold it together you are slowly loosing yourself to the beyond, but that is not the only problem, I suggest you take another look a your corporeal being before making your decision, but please do it quick.\" Ion slowly turned his head back towards where his body was, he noticed he was now in a different part of the hospital, an operating room with surgeons, one of them looking like his cousin Meeka operating on his bloodied body, his gut opened with intestines pulled out but he could hear his heart rate quieting, his body was dying without his soul in there and soon it may no longer be able to hold it. Ion looked back to Flint who still had his hand out but again Ion hesitated, thoughts raced through his mind, he didn't know what to do, his body was dying and if Flint was correct his soul as well but this could still be a trick Flint could still take him, his soul away from his body and then it would be the end. Flint looked at the almost quivering Ion when it hit him in the head, \"is it that you don't trust me?\" Flint asked as Ion continued to stare at him in fright, \"come on now Ion, when have I ever let you down? I will not do anything to harm you, I promise you that, I will make sure you will not die here, just take my hand, you can trust me\" Thoughts continued to run through Ion's head as he still hesitated on taking his friend's hand, \"please Ion, there is not much time, I promise I am not here to take you to the beyond, if you continue to hesitate you will be pulled over there forcefully and there maybe nothing I can do then\" Flint's voice rang out in urgency, Ion closed his eyes trying to calm himself, he was right, when had Flint ever lead him astray, they were friends, best friends, he could trust him surely. Ion slowly opened his eyes as he reached out to grab his friend's hand, \"ok Flint I trust you...\" Ion said as their hands met, only for his soul to fully fade out and dissolve into tiny specs that floated up towards the sky. The sound of a flatline heart beat could be heard from the monitor attached to Ion's corporeal being as Flint let out a small curse \"dam it Ion, if only you took my hand a moment sooner\" Flint look down to Ion's body as the surgeons tried to resuscitate him, Meeka making an incision into the side of Ion's chest and forcing her hand inside, \"there is still some time, his soul would not have fully crossed over just yet, I will get him back!\" Continuing to look down at Meeka trying to keep Ion's body alive Flint know time was of the essence, \"don't worry, Meeka please don't give up hope just yet, just give me a moment and I will pull Ion back, please keep his body alive\" Flint said out loud but no one could hear, \"Ion's soul is moving towards the beyond, but there is still time, I can get it back, I will pull him back...\n~\n\nKind of continues here https://inkbunny.net/s/2222447 ",

Ion turned around to see another person floating over the chaos below, only this person was a familiar sight, one he had not seen in many years as he continued to speak, "well not quite... at least not like I am" Ion looked in shock at the person in front of him, it was Flint, a friend that had passed away almost four years ago, was he sent here to take him to the other side? Ion didn't know what to think but Flint tried to reassure him, "don't worry there is life left for you to live but not only your body was damaged in that attack, your soul as well which you can see as you are much more transparent them me." Ion looked at Flint and then back to himself, he was right, while they both did look ghostly, Ion was a bit more transparent then his friend and he looked to be fading even more. Ion started to panic, he didn't want to die, not like this but again Flint tried to reassure him, reaching out his hand towards Ion he spoke softly "but I can help you live again, your soul was fractured but I can make it whole again, take my hand and we can rejoin the waking world."
Ion was taken aback, he was scared as he closed up his arms, he didn't want to be taken to the other side, while Flint was his friend, he was dead, that would be his only reason to be here at this moment to calmly take him away. Ion refused Flint's hand as he looked a little shocked, "well the choice is yours but you don't have a lot of time, again your soul is fractured and without a complete spirit to hold it together you are slowly loosing yourself to the beyond, but that is not the only problem, I suggest you take another look a your corporeal being before making your decision, but please do it quick." Ion slowly turned his head back towards where his body was, he noticed he was now in a different part of the hospital, an operating room with surgeons, one of them looking like his cousin Meeka operating on his bloodied body, his gut opened with intestines pulled out but he could hear his heart rate quieting, his body was dying without his soul in there and soon it may no longer be able to hold it. Ion looked back to Flint who still had his hand out but again Ion hesitated, thoughts raced through his mind, he didn't know what to do, his body was dying and if Flint was correct his soul as well but this could still be a trick Flint could still take him, his soul away from his body and then it would be the end. Flint looked at the almost quivering Ion when it hit him in the head, "is it that you don't trust me?" Flint asked as Ion continued to stare at him in fright, "come on now Ion, when have I ever let you down? I will not do anything to harm you, I promise you that, I will make sure you will not die here, just take my hand, you can trust me" Thoughts continued to run through Ion's head as he still hesitated on taking his friend's hand, "please Ion, there is not much time, I promise I am not here to take you to the beyond, if you continue to hesitate you will be pulled over there forcefully and there maybe nothing I can do then" Flint's voice rang out in urgency, Ion closed his eyes trying to calm himself, he was right, when had Flint ever lead him astray, they were friends, best friends, he could trust him surely. Ion slowly opened his eyes as he reached out to grab his friend's hand, "ok Flint I trust you..." Ion said as their hands met, only for his soul to fully fade out and dissolve into tiny specs that floated up towards the sky. The sound of a flatline heart beat could be heard from the monitor attached to Ion's corporeal being as Flint let out a small curse "dam it Ion, if only you took my hand a moment sooner" Flint look down to Ion's body as the surgeons tried to resuscitate him, Meeka making an incision into the side of Ion's chest and forcing her hand inside, "there is still some time, his soul would not have fully crossed over just yet, I will get him back!" Continuing to look down at Meeka trying to keep Ion's body alive Flint know time was of the essence, "don't worry, Meeka please don't give up hope just yet, just give me a moment and I will pull Ion back, please keep his body alive" Flint said out loud but no one could hear, "Ion's soul is moving towards the beyond, but there is still time, I can get it back, I will pull him back...
