The last thing he remembered he was out for a walk with his mate Zephyr, he wasn't feeling too good but he hoped the fresh air would settle him down, but his vision grew blurry, his mind went dizzy and then a sudden sharp pain in his chest before he was consumed in darkness. Where was he now he tried to figure out, he was cold as the air was chilled, his clothing had been removed as Ion felt his naked body against that cold air, there was immense pressure in his chest as while he could not move, he rolled his sight as much as he could down his body to see a myriad of wires and tubes extending out from an large opening in his chest. \"Surgery? I am in surgery?\" Ion started thinking as his body tensed, it dawned on him that he must of experienced some sort of cardiac episode, he knew his heart was not in the best of shape under normal circumstances, stemming from birth with a small defect and when he was about eleven years old as he contracted rheumatic fever, even having to undergo open heart surgery back then to combat the infection due to his defect but since then there has been one heart operation after another as the effects of the fever gave him permanent damage to two of his valves but they had been replaced, one just a few years ago, the doctors then said he would be fine for a decade or more, so Ion was hoping for a pause in the ruse but Flint may have had other plans. Pain started radiating from the opening in his chest as the andesitic was starting to wear off, a shadowy figure appeared overhead and Ion could hear it call out a few words but couldn't comprehend what it said as his world started fading to darkness again, his eyes closed and he was transported back to the world of nothingness, trapped in the abyss that was surgery, until light started glimmering in his eyes once more.....\n~\n\nContinues here: https://inkbunny.net/s/2562997",
