Meeka more reserved of others operating on her cousin, would confide in Oliver to take over watch of Ion's heart issues that he was developing from other injuries and issues that he would have had from this injury as he would be better for Ion then her for any cardiac issues. Oliver would see that Meeka having a hard time letting Ion go from her full care and would vow to her that he would take care of Ion as she would (at least for Ion's heart issues, Meeka being a abdominal surgeon, would still take care of Ion's bowel issues). This handover still occurs in the current story but I decided to cut this particular story from Ion's backstory but the imagery is still something I like, maybe I will come back to it some day but for now just enjoy the scene as is and maybe make up your own story on how things transpired.
