First he had to undergo open heart surgery to repair his pacemaker like device on his heart and during the recovery for that surgery, a blood clot formed in his abdomen which ended up in a serous rupture. Ion had to be taken into emergency surgery so that he would not bleed out. It was such a serious situation that his surgeon Meeka could not wait until Ion got to the operating room to start the surgery, she had to cut him open and start working on him while he was being wheeled down the hallways and through the elevators. However they were able to get Ion safely into the operating room where his surgery when smoothly and he is expected to make a full recovery. Ion now has another large scar to add to his collection and he might have to spend a few more days in intensive care, but it could have been worse  \n\nHad to do another quick gore/surgery one as I felt the itch to see Ion being operated on again, though he is kind of use to undergoing surgeries by now as he does have some minor health issues that require them, but they don't damper his spirits and he tries to recover from them quickly to get back to his hunting duties, even though Meeka would like him to rest more often",
