Ion was basically disemboweled leaving his insides a mess but during his life saving operation, the surgeons were only concerned with stopping the bleeding, leaving his bowels to be reconstructed at a latter date if he fully made it. It has been a few days since then and with Ion in excruciating pain from his insides still being torn up, that medicine is having a hard time helping him with. She didn't like what she saw, there was many parts of Ion's bowel that were dark and very infected, quickly running her fingers through them as a quick examination, all she hope was that there would be enough left so that she would not have to give Ion a stoma. Before preceding with her work she quickly examined Ion's stomach as during his emergency surgery, she had to close a wound there and found it to be healing well with no signs of infection there to her relief. Getting back to task at hand, Meeka used surgical equipment to pull out a bit of Ion's bowel and started to get to work, cutting off small parts of the fastly closed severed ends from the previous surgery so there would be clean areas to reconnect those parts of his bowel and fully removing any infected part of Ion's bowel. This is where her dexterous skill came into play as a lot of this procedure as careful cutting and lot of suture work, stitching everything tightly and correctly back together. Meeka took pride in her suture work, making sure it was clean and neatly done, to her it was an art form that you really had to work at to get good, with making cleaner stitching like made a patient's recovery much better and faster. Hours went by as Meeka was afraid at just how much of Ion's bowel she had to remove but in the end there was enough left so he could have a functioning bowel system, avoiding the necessity of a life long stoma, though for the time being, Ion would be on a feeding tube as his intestines recovered. Meeka would watch and see how his newly reconstructed bowels would handle it and depending on how it went, she may need to give Ion a temporary stoma during his next surgery if his bowels didn't handle it well. After her work was complete, Ion's bowel would still not be in its correct placement or tied down, as a lot of the connecting tissues had to be broken to fix him up or were broken when he was disemboweled, but Meeka didn't want to put Ion's body through too much trauma at one, opting to perform another surgery on him in about a week or so to give his body some time to heal and rest before fully reconstructing everything.
