injured\n\nIn this one Ion was doing a solo hunt against a strong enemy. They were battling it out in the streets when his enemy got the upper hand and was able to sever Ion's left arm (Ion's sword arm) with his sword. With Ion stunned, his enemy, wanting to finish this, pulled out a gun and pointed it at Ion in which Ion froze up. Ion looking back at his enemy started hearing gunshots, while starting to feel severe pain in his groin and abdomen. Realizing he has been shot multiple times, he started to loose energy and fell to his knees. His enemy walked closer to him and as Ion looked up and met his eyes, he heard another gunshot, followed by a severe pain in his chest. Ion fell to the ground on his back struggling to breathe as blood was starting to come out of his mouth as his enemy fled. Some by-standers came over to Ion with one putting Ion's head in their lap trying to help open his airways while others were using whatever they could to apply pressure to Ions wounds to help with the bleeding. An ambulance arrived shortly after and paramedics ruched him inside. On the way to the hospital, they stripped Ion revealing the amount of injuries he sustained including many bullet wounds to the abdomen, one in his testicle and one in his chest, where his heart would be. With Ion continuing to struggle to breathe, they inserted a breathing tube down his throat and started to pump air into his lungs. As they arrived at the hospital, Ion's hearts rate was rapidly deteriorating, with his vision starting to get blurry. In the ER, doctors continued to pump air into his lungs and trying to hold pressure on his wounds while assessing all the damage done to his body. As they waited for an operating room to be prepared, the doctors felt the pressure in Ion's abdomen building dangerously and made the decision to start operating in the ER. They made an incision down Ion's belly in which lots of blood just started pouring out uncontrollably, drenching the table and spilling on to the floor. They tried to suction up as much as they could but more would just flow and fill up his abdomen as Ion's intestines and organs were severely damaged. The doctors started transfusing fresh blood into Ion as they tried to contain his internal bleeding. Ion continuing to struggle to breathe even with help from the doctors pumping air into his lungs, his vision started to get blurrier and blurrier until he saw darkness. At this point with Ion's eyes wide open, the ECG showed his heart flat-lined and the doctors started scrambling, with them getting out the defibrillator. They shocked Ion's chest multiple times, with increasing voltage each time but nothing worked as the light faded from Ion's eyes. The doctors tried one last attempt to get Ion's heart beating as they made an incision into the side of his chest, between his ribs to expose his heart. One doctor placed their hand into his chest to massage his heart to temporally get blood flowing but as they were squeezing, the doctor's worst fear was realized when they could feel a bullet slug jammed into the heart. The massage was unsuccessful as Ion was then pronounced dead, his lifeless body was tagged and sent to the morgue. There the corner was finally able to fully cut Ion open to fully see how much damage was actually done and if there was at one point an actual chance to save him. Upon opening Ion up, the corner saw severe damage to Ion's intestines, liver, lungs and other abdominal organs. Looking at Ion's heart, he saw a bulled lodge itself between 2 of its chambers, causing the heart to bleed out slow, which was why Ion was able to hold on for a decently long time. The corner determined the the bullet wound to the heart was fatal even if the doctors was able to get Ion fully into surgery, as he would have died on the operating table. He recorded the cause of exact cause of death of multiple gunshot wounds to the groin/abdomen with the fatal on to the heart. He then slid Ion's eyes closed and then removed all the bullet slugs from his body as a sign of respect, then stitched his body closed. Ion's body was released back to the Contract Hunters where they held a small funeral for him in a small cemetery where Ion was laid to his final rest. \n\nIn my original story for Ion, while on a Hunt with 2 other characters I scrapped named Zan and Haruko, Ion was suppose to witness them getting killed which awakened his power (similar to DMC demon awakening). He would then go on a rage where he also ultimately gets killed but just before Ion dies, subconsciously he was able to pull his soul from his dying body (thanks to being awakened) and it found a host in an unborn baby where he would be able to recover (similar the what Kurama does in Yu Yu Hakusho). He would then be reborn as a red fox and grow up in a normal childhood (his original childhood was a little more un-normal to put it). Over time his memories would start to come back as his body started to resemble the body he had before. Then by his early teens, Ion would have recovered all of his memories and his body would have looked the same as before he died. He would have then met back up with his training master, where the Ion took the decision to re-cut off his own left arm to remind him to never reckless again while doing his hunts. He then created his own customized mechanical arm and would meet up with the characters from his official backstory (although I scraped some and replace them with others) and create Fangenclaw.\n\nI know this description has been long and even thought the event depicted in this image is not canon anymore, I hope you enjoy the story anyways. I decided to cut this story because the themes and elements were getting too complicated and messy so I reworked Ion's backstory to be more coherent years ago.
