"description": "Art by Arrteen on FurAffinity\n\n~\nIt had been a long day out on their journey, while Zephyr went into town to regain some supplies, Ion decided to bathe away all the dirt and grime from the day's adventure in a nearby pond. Surrounded by trees and river rocks, Ion undressed and jumped in, the water refreshing especially after the long day though his relaxation was somewhat short lived. Across the small pond there was a small opening where a river intersected and after looking in that direction Ion noticed a weird light glowing from the surrounding trees. Curious, Ion swam over to the river before getting out and walking across the river rock that flanked both sides. The glow was getting brighter before a outline of a figure could be seen, even more curious now, Ion tried tried to catch up to the mysterious figure that was now leading him on a little chase. Jumping from rock to rock, Ion continued his pursuit before loosing balance and falling into the tall grass on the riverside.\n\n The figure seamed to take notice as it stopped, Ion, starting to sit up looked back at the figure as it came more into view and was surprised at what he saw. Standing there was his long departed friend, his fur of brown and cream glowing beautifully in the small rays of light that were penetrating through the overgrown trees. Was his spirit really here or was this some sort of hallucination from the long journey he had had, Ion thought to himself as he continued to look at Flint in disbelief. It was possible that his spirit was here with him, this forest had been known to be a gathering place for them, at least thats what is teacher Arturo told him when they first met here years ago after they were following one of the many wisps that would appear here in the nighttime, but this was also the day, no wisps could be seen during daylight and Flint was in full form in front of his eyes. Suddenly Flint or whatever Ion was seeing turned it's head back towards Ion, the blue eyes glaring back at him, almost saying \"is that all you got?\" before Flint started moving one again, jumping across the river rocks, was he trying to lead him somewhere, Ion thought again as he got up and continued his chase. Flint was leading him on a distinct path through this river and Ion just followed him curiously, not knowing what he saw was some sort of vision, Flint's spirit or just his mind playing tricks on him, it didn't matter, he was going to follow his old friend and to see where he would lead him.....\n~\n\nFor those who wanted (like me) to see what an older, aged up Flint would look like.
