for Ion's demonhood \n\n[i]~\nA sketch of the original idea to what ended up being one of Ion's childhood surgeries, the original idea was adult Ion maintaining the guise of his body needing it's abdominal repair work after his awakening to demonhood (as he could not disclose that information to others as knowledge of everyone being demons is a secret to the world), as while his body no longer needed the surgeries anymore due to how an awakened demon body works, he had to maintain a guise of not being awakened and endure things he normally would have to if he wasn't, normally his routine surgeries would be simple as Meeka was one of the few who knew Ion was awakened, would do a 'fake' surgery where she would record the events of doing one without actually doing it and Ion would have to work as a surgical nurse for a while to disguise a recovery as that is what he normally did while he recovered before as she found out about Ion's demonhood during a different event. However, with her dealing with medical problems of her own, an old surgeon from Ion's past was tasked with overlooking him while Meeka was on medical leave endure a full surgery while hiding the fact he is an awakened demon as the anesthetic doesn't have any effect on him now and while physical pain on his body is dulled, his ability to heal large wounds more or less automatically and fairly quickly could become a problem in a situation where you are cut open and need to stay cut open, so he had to fake being sound asleep while maintaining his body not to heal the incisions or any work the surgeon would do while the operation was commencing, on top of faking a recovery that normally would be a bit painful and restrictive, a true test of his Hunter skills but the surgeon would notice something odd, that the anesthetic had run out and would of run out for around twenty minutes or so ago as he forgot to change the medicine bag but Ion was still \"sound asleep\" as again he was faking it and didn't realise the anesthetic ran out as it couldn't feel the liquid physically entering his arm It would of ended on a cliffhanger there but Ion would of used his cunningness as to diffuse the situation by saying he was just letting the surgeon continue on with his work uninterrupted as Meeka was a person like that who didn't want to be bothered when she worked and that he had pain tolerance from field surgeries he had in the past so he could 'endure' the pain even though it was never this smoothly in the past, the surgeon seamed to buy it in the end making Ion breathe a sigh of relief. The idea was changed as Ion was drawn a bit too small in the sketch, I did want to show he was a smaller fox but he came out too childlike and instead of throwing away the sketch I changed the idea to make it work to the surgery Ion had after Flint accidently shot him with an arrow.
