As he was being stripped of his belongings, Ion was able to make a small resistance, biting a few of the guards trying to hold him as he tried to make an escape but to no avail, he was muzzled, strung up in chains, naked and given extra lashings for his trouble, he, would have to find a different tactic. As the night fell and storm came in, Ion was left still strung between the two wood posts as when he first arrived, blood still dripping from the fresh wounds of the whip that the guards had lacerated him with before moving on to other new arrivals, as a way to break them in.
