Mud baths, hot stone massages…..happy endings…” She said with a little snicker.\n\n“That sounds wonderful,” Tabitha replied walking past the merret and into the spa. “I have to give Randy credit this time, he chose a girl that doesn’t seem to be a stuck up, arrogant, gold digging whore.”\n\n“Na, I don’t need money or anything like that.” The merrett said as she followed in and up to the counter. “I’m just happy that I found someone like him, someone that isn’t after me for the family’s money or business secrets.” She said as she looked at the worker. “Appointment for Kaylock.” She said as she watched the worker scribble something down and motioned for them to head on back to the waiting area.\n\n“Randy has always been very independant,” Tabby said as she followed the merret. “Even before he was who he is now. I used to think it was just being headstrong and defiant, but he’s proven me wrong. Of all my children he and his brother Zeus are the two I worry about least. They both have bright futures ahead of them and a plan of how to get to where they want to be.”\n\n“And that is one of the things that I find the most attractive about him.” The merrett said as she leaned back in the plush chair. “I have an idea as to what I want from my life….I just haven’t gotten started on it.” She said glancing over to the mother before the two heard a worker calling them over to the changing/shower room.\n\n“Now that sounds like Randy’s brother Zeus,” the horse woman said as they entered another room of the spa area. “Randy got started on his path nearly the moment he started middle school. His brother will be graduating high school this year and he’s just getting started on his dreams. Though from what he and his girlfriend… fiancee… wife to be damn it, shit this thing with them went fast,” the equine woman said shaking her head slowly.\n\n“It will all fly by fast and then we will be sitting back laughing at the memories and all of that.” The merrett said as she stepped into one of the stalls and started getting undressed. “As for me….I have known what I wanted to do, I just haven’t started on it...well….not settled down and started on it I should say. I mean I take a lot of photos and read a lot about the ways to do it, I just haven’t opened my own place.” She said as she stepped out of the stall, wrapped up in a fluffy towel.\n\n“So what exactly is it you plan to do?” Tabitha asked stepping into the stall next to the one the merret occupied. “Stepping out a few moments later wrapped in a towel and stretching languidly as she did so.\n\n“Photographer.” The merrett said as she started heading into the room with the mud baths. “I have been taking photos for several years, it’s been a passion for me for a loooooong time.” She said as she dropped her towel and started wiggling into the mud.\n\nUnwrapping the towel from her body, taking the time to fold it before dropping it to the floor Tabitha said, “a photographer huh? That sounds like it could involve a lot of traveling, which I doubt Randy would mind in the least. You know, with his pursuit of a business degree that would make the two of you quite the pair.”\n\n“He and I were talking about that the other night.” She said smiling as she leaned her head back on the little rubber pillow. “Something along the line of me taking all the photos and all that, and him handling the money and all that.” She said snickering. “I like math and numbers, but not that much.”\n\n“God he does,” Tabby said rolling her eyes as she sank into the mud bath across from the merret. “There have been advantages though since he began pursuing his career path. Talked about things he liked, his aspirations…..things like that….first date things….why is there something that I need to know?” She said turning her head to look at the mother.\n\n“Yes there is,” the equine woman said lowering her gaze and locking eyes with the slender girl across from her. “My son used to be my daughter, he’s transgendered and if that is a problem for you he needs to know it now. He’s been hurt enough by princesses that think he’s all hot and studly then find out he’s not. She’s a small minded, arrogant, uptight shrew and I’ll tell you now that anyone ever treats him like that again and the law will not save them from a mother’s wrath.”\n\n“Yeah, she sounds like a card carrying bitch.” May said shaking her head a little. “It’s a good thing that I wasn’t around then…..I’d have jumped on her….and yeah….kick boxing classes come in handy for many things other than staying in shape.”\n\n“As long as you stay as sweet as you seem, and treat my son right we won’t have any issues,” the mother horse said with a slight chuckle. “When it comes to Randy all I want for him is to be happy and find a girl that can accept him for who he is, not be more concerned with who he was.\n\n“I’m sure that he knows that I accept him for who he is and there is nothing that is going to change that.” May said smiling. “And as for his happiness and all that too, yeah, I’m going to make sure that happens too.” She said smiling to the mother horse.\n\nLeaning back in the mud bath, resting her head on the pillow again she replied, “and I will grant you the chance to prove that May, treat him right and don’t break his heart and you’re going to be just fine in my book.”\n\n“Don’t worry Ms. Tabby, I got this.” She said with a little snicker as she laid back, sinking a little more into the mud. “And as for the wedding and all.” She started with a little snicker. “My mom and dad will handle all of that for y’all.”\n\n“We’ll see if it gets that far,” the equine woman mumbled as she seemed to finally fully relax. “For now I’m just happy that my son has taken up with a young lady, instead of those whore ass sluts that keep luring him in and treating him like trash when they find out the truth.”\n\n“Sounds like a plan to me. “Coffee, with cream and sugar.”  Chou said.

“I ordered them from work, there’s like a hundred in the box, so you two should be good till we hit shore.”  Shanoa said smiling, picking up and sipping from her cup.

“Well that’s the thing that we need to talk to you two about.”  Chou started out, only to get cut off by Shanoa.

“I’m the doctor, let me handle this.”  She said smiling and snickering a little.  “Well I got to looking into something…..checking and making sure that the medication and all was good…..don’t want anything to happen to my little niece….and I found out that….well when used...the brand that you have been taking is ineffective when the two parties are of different species.”  She said pausing.  “That was part of the reason that I had hidden all the rubbers in your room.  I was looking to all of this and doing fact checking.”

“Ok……”  Hana said looking wide eyed from her lover to her aunt.  “You’re telling me that me and my husband have been having unprotected sex…..and he has been filling me….and I can get knocked up?”

“WHAT?” Zeus nearly shouted, his eyes going wider than dinner plates as he stared at the catwolf across the table from him. “How the…. why the…. but, but her doctor back home said it would work just fine. What the hell?”

“Yeah…...There are some doctors out there that I swear, they got their license from the bottom of a cracker jack box.”  She said digging through her bag and pulling out a manilla envelope.  “Its all right here.”  She said handing them the papers, showing the ‘research’ that she had done.

“What are we supposed to do about all the times that me and Zeus have been….well….breeding?”  Hana asked looking down at the paper work.  “I mean….what if I’m knocked up?”

“Well…...I’m sure that you two can handle a kid….I mean, as grandma I will help.”  Chou spoke up.

“Just give it a few days and then I will take you down to the infirmary and let them know who I am and all that, and we will get you looked out…..though I think that you two will make some cute babies.”  Shanoa said smiling.  “Little equinines…….god the dicks on them things….ok….maybe little abominations of mixed evolution.”

“Well…. ummmm,” Zeus stammered looking down at the papers in his lover’s lap. “We are getting married and I kind of figured that we would have kids some day… but I hadn't really thought about what they would be with our species and all.” Taking Hana’s paw in his he turned to look at her and added, “we’re kind of young for kids yet, maybe we should….”

“Shanoa……”  Hana said holding her lover’s hand.  “You're going to be the doctor for us and all that…..you going to help us take care of the kid and stuff?”  She said turning and looking her lover in they eyes.  “No sweetie…..if we have a kid, then it was something that was meant to happen, so it’s going to happen.

“No.”  Shanoa said.  “I’m not a baby rearing doc…..I work in an ER….”  She said rolling her eyes.  “You two are too sweet….though I can get you hooked up with someone that can help with the baby and all.”

“You… you’re sure about that Hana?” Zeus asked unable to keep from glancing at his lover’s belly for a moment before looking back into her eyes. “You really think that if we do get pregnant it was meant to be that way?”

“Yes.”  Shanoa said smiling.  “The fates have a funny way of working things out.”  The hybrid said smiling.

“Yes.  It was the fates that brought me and Shanoa together as family.”  Chou said smiling.

“See honey…..it might have been meant to be like this from the start.”  She said leaning against her lover, murring softly as she nuzzled against him.

“Maybe…” he said trailing off for a moment before looking up at the coatwolf. “Ummm… well now you’ve got me thinking about something. I mean I love Hana and we do want kids I guess…” He paused seeming to try to figure how to best put into words the thought that had suddenly came to his mind. “Okay, you’re a doctor and you might know, but honestly would it be safe for Hana to get pregnant with our baby? I mean… I am a horse and she’s a puppy… is that kind of thing even possible?”

“Yes.”  Was all that Shanoa said before picking up her coffee cup and finishing off the contents.  “It’s possible for her to bear the child, though I’m not sure that a vaginal birth would be all that safe, so a C-section would be the safest bet there.  As for the changes that she would go through, they would be….well like if she was having twins or triplets of her own breed.”  She paused and thought for a moment.  “As long as she only has one she should be ok, I mean I have seen some strange couples come through JTM, ready to shoot a baby out.”  She said snickering.  “Some a lot like you two in terms of size.”

“Oh…” the equine boy said  retrieving his cup and sitting back in his seat. “Well then, I guess maybe it’s okay… and it is a good thing you let us know about her birth control… we’ll have to check into that more when we get back home I guess.”

“Thanks you two.”  Hana said looking up to her husband to be.  “Come on sweetheart.”

“Okay honey,” the horse boy said quickly draining his cup and putting it on the table. “Thank you both for the gifts….. and the information and all….” he trailed off as he stood up holding his lover’s chair as she did the same.
