", "writing": " The two slept soundly through the night, their bodies pressed tight to one another, snuggling close, switching places throughout the night. Parts of it spent with Cassandra snuggled up to Erin, purring like a little motor, the other parts spent with Erin snuggled up to Cassandra, sometimes poking her.\n Soon the morning light started peeking through the blinds and washing over the sleeping forms of the two. The bright light causing Erin to practically hiss as she tugged the covers up and over her head, Cassandra just hiding under her pillow, the managing to fall back asleep for a little bit longer.\n “Dotty, Erin.” Cassandra’s mother’s voice filled the room as she called to the two girls. “You two don’t want to sleep the day away, it’s already noon.”\n “Ok mom, we’re up.” Cassandra called back as she sat up, nudging the sleeping form of Erin next to her.\n “No mom…” The bat said sleepily, before rolling over.\n “Alright sleepy head.” She said as she poked and prodded her a little more. “Wake up.”\n “I don’t want to…”\n “Am I going to have to drag you out of bed?” She asked getting up, walking to the foot of the bed, putting her hand on Erin’s leg. “Wake up.” She said with a snicker, starting to pull on Erin’s left leg, without warning, the leg that she had pulled right away from the sleeping bat. Cassandra staggered back a step or two before landing on her butt with a little thump, the thing that she thought was Erin’s leg tangled in the blankets that now sat in her lap. “Oh shit.” \n Erin sat up and look down at the foot of the bed, after hearing her friend letting out the curse and the blankets being tugged away. A wave of fear and embarrassment washing over the bat as she saw that her leg was missing, and Cassandra was sitting on the floor at the edge of the bed with it in her lap.\n “Ummm… About that.” Erin said blushing dark. “I should have told you before, but I ummm… I have a fake leg.” She said, her ears folding back in shame. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you or anything.” She said as she crawled to the edge of the bed.\n \"Ok...\" Cassandra said, still stunned about what had just happened, she was getting to learn so much more about her new friend so fast.\n \"I'm sorry.\" The bat said blushing again moving along the bed, setting at the foot of it, offering her hand to her friend.\n \"What other secrets do you have?\" The feline asked taking the hand that was offered to her and getting up, joining the fluffy bat on the bed.\n \"Ummmm. I think that those are the only two that are important at the moment.\" She said smiling as she put an arm around the feline. \"And I didn't mean to scare you.\" She start, but the two's attention was drawn to the stairs leading up to her room, Cassandra's mother was standing at the top of them.\n \"I heard a thump, and I wanted to come check on you girls.\" She said, going a little wide eyed at the site of her daughter sitting on the edge of the bed, a leg in her lap, and her new best friend sitting next to her, missing a leg. \"Are you two ok?\" She asked tilting her head a little.\n \"Yes ma'am.\" Erin said chiming in. \"Cassandra here tried to wake me up and she ended up finding out that I have a fake leg, nothing big.\" She said happily.\n \"Hehe it was an interesting way to wake up.\" Cassandra said smiling and snickering.\n \"Ok, well lunch is ready if you two are hungry.\" The mother feline said smiling as she turned to walk back down the stairs and off to do whatever she had on her to-do list for the day.\n \"Well... Ummm...\" Cassandra started out, turning to glance at Erin, blushing dark.\n \"Yes, I will tell you how I lost it.\" The bat said smiling and snickering a little. \"Well you see, when I was younger, me and some friends where playing around on some train tracks, and well my friend got his foot stuck, and at the last moment I managed to push him out of the way, and ended up falling down, left leg on the track and that's all that she wrote.\"\n \"W... Wow. Really?\" Cassandra asked, tilting her head a little surprised at the story that the bat just told.\n \"No... I wish I had a cool story to tell about how I lost it.\" Erin said shaking her head, meeping a little as she felt Cassandra nudging her. \"The real story is a lot more boring. When I was younger I got really sick, like on death's door, and well I managed to make it through some how, but there was a price that I ended up paying. As I was recovering, we all noticed that my leg was weaker, and the doctor got to looking into it, and it turns out that the sickness had caused some rare reaction in my body, and my body had started attacking it's own joints, namely the left knee joint.\" She said taking a deep breath, shivering a little as she felt a paw coming to rest on her shoulder, the feline could tell that telling the story and the memories where still fresh enough to hurt a little. \"And well they tried different things to stop and or at least slow it and it didn't work. They tried to give me a replacement knee joint and for some reason, my body absolutely would not take it...\"\n \"I'm sorry.\" Cassandra said, pulling the bat into a hug. \"I have no idea how it must feel to lose something like your leg.\"\n \"Thank you.\" She said softly. \"But I ended up getting fed up with trying to take the immuno suppressants and all the other things that they had me on, so on day, I... well I threatened to beat the shit out of one of the doctors if he didn't do something other than feed me drugs, and well he told me that the only other thing that he could do is to cut it off, and well the rest is history.\" Erin said leaning against the feline.\n \"How long ago was this?... I mean if you don't mind me asking.\" Cassandra said giving her another squeeze.\n \"The operation was...\" She said pausing for a moment, \"about a year and a half ago.\" She said looking down at the stub that was her left leg, hidden under her pajama pants. \"I still have trouble walking on it, but... I'm too stupid to give up.\" She said smiling and putting a hand on her hip. \"Now lets go get some of that lunch... Your mom can cook.\" She said standing up, doing a good job keeping her balance. \"Dotty... My leg.\" She said dropping her pants and holding out her hand.\n \"Yes Fluffer.\" She said smiling and handing Erin her, her leg, absent mindedly reaching out to help hold the bat up as she bent over to put her leg back on and get everything adjusted and then pulling her pants back up.\n \"Fluffer?\" She said turning to look at the serval. \"I like it... Spotty.\" She said smiling as she gave her a new nickname, well a spin off of the nickname that her mother had given her.\n \"Bite me.\" Cassandra said smiling and poking out her tongue, meeping as she felt a warm, wet tongue lashing against her nose, Erin giggling a little.\n \"I'm a bat... I might just do that.\" She said smiling and leaning in, wrapping her arms around her. \"Then again, I think that you might like that.\" She said leaning in closer, letting her breath wash over Cassandra's neck, getting a little mewl out of her. \"Want to join me? Be at one with the night and all that?\" She asked, murring as she started, ever so lightly nipping at her neck, just letting her teeth tease the supple flesh under her fur, she kept doing this for a little bit, smiling and pulling back. \"But... I am a fruit bat...\" She said giggling at the lick that she got from the feline.\n \"Such a dork.\" Cassandra said smiling and planting a kiss on her lips before breaking the hug, \"come on, I thought that you were hungry.\"\n \"Heh, that being a dork is what makes me so cute and all that.\" She said smiling as she started heading to the steps, starting to make her way down it, Cassandra in toe. The two made their way through the big house to the dining room, greeted with the sight of the lunch that Cassandra's mom had made. It wasn't to fancy, she had made some homemade tomato soup with grilled cheese sandwiches.\n \"So, what's the school like?\" Cassandra asked, sitting down across from Erin, picking up her spoon, starting to eat her soup.\n \"Well...\" Erin said with a little shrug. \"I would guess that it would be like any other school. It has it's cliques and all that. Other than that, it's a big school, broken down into three parts.\" She said, letting out a little murr as she tasted the soup. \"The elementary and middle school are off to the side, the middle of the school is made up of the JR, and high school, and then the last part off on it's on is the college and the dorms.\" \n \"It sounds like it's a big place.\" She said looking up to the bat. \"Like you can get lost easy.\" \n \"You can, but it's not that hard to get around.\" Erin said smiling, murring as she enjoyed the soup. \"Odds are I will have to show you around, I always end up being the one that does that...\" She smiled.\n \"Ok, that I can handle.\" Cassandra said, leaning in. \"What about getting pot and all that?\" She asked in a hushed tone.\n \"I will make sure to introduce you to the good ones... I just thought about it.\" The bat said smiling. \"You can come stay at my house tonight and tomorrow and then come monday we will walk to school and all that.\" She said happily, nodding as she ate.\n \"Awesome, and I'll ask mom in a minute.\" The feline said with a purr.\n \"Ask me what?\" The mother feline's voice filled the room as she poked her head out of the living room. \n \"God mom...\" Cassandra said with a huff. \"What, were you eavesdropping?\" She said looking up to her. \"But, Erin was saying that I could stay at her house this weekend and then Monday, she will walk me to school and show me around and all that.\"\n \"Well, as long as it's alright with her mom.\" She said smiling and nodding before slipping back into the living room.\n \"You serval things are sneaky as shit.\" Erin said smiling as she sat back in her seat.\n \"A little, but mom does it more than anyone.\" Cassandra said leaning back in her seat. \"So what is there to do in the town?\"\n \"Not a lot, theres the park but there isn't a lot there at least at the moment, spring, summer and fall it tends to be a little make spot amongst other things.\" She said smiling. \"There is the super store, most of the guys and the hick like to hang out there.\" She said rolling her eyes, that was one of the few places in the town that she didn't like going. \"Then theres the mall and that has a skating rink, a roller rink and a few other things to.\" There was a moment of silence between the two, Erin smiling bright. \"Lets go to the mall, I can show you around, let you meet some of the other odd balls that live in this town.\"\n \"That sounds good to me. I just need to get a change of clothes and one of the uniforms.\" She said smiling, the two getting up, taking their plates to the kitchen and then making their way up to her room. Cassandra grabbing her book bag and a messenger back, gathering up some clothes and her uniform, packing them away.\n As she was doing that Erin was changing from the PJs that she had borrowed from Cassandra and back into her cloth, staggering a little as she put her false leg into her pants leg and pulled it up, she bent over to tie her shoes, she let out a little meep as she felt a paw smacking her ass, causing her to stand up and smile at the naughty kitten behind her.\n \"God you're naughty.\" She said smiling and snickering as she watched her starting to take her pjs off and starting to get into her street clothes, the same ones that she wore from the day before.\n \"My place is right on the way to the mall, we can pop in and drop off your clothes and meet my mom and brother if they are there.\" Erin said smiling and reaching out, picking up her messenger back and then her winter cloak, slipping it on as Cassandra put her coat on and grabbed her bags. \"Onward.\" She said smiling.\n The two smiled as they set out from Cassandra’s house making their way down main street, passing the same buildings they did before, Erin taking a moment to show the feline a few of the places that she might have missed the first time, showing off the local gas station that was open all the time. Soon the two had made it back to Erin’s apartment building, slipping in and to the elevator, squeezing into with the extra bags that they had.\n “I just thought about it, my mom might not be at home.” Erin said as the two stepped out of the elevator and started the short walk down the hall to her apartment.\n “Work?” Cassandra asked as she watched Erin fishing out a key and unlocking the door and slipping in, she followed right behind her.\n “Yup, not sure what job.” the bat said as she pulled off her cloak and hung it on the coat rack, making her way through the small livingroom, passing the sofa were another, older male bat was sitting, flipping through the channels on the T.V. “Hey dick head.” Erin said as she stopped at one end of the sofa. “Cassandra, this is my brother, dick head…” She said smiling.\n “Bite me ass licker.” He said sitting up and looking at his sister.       “I can teach you.”  The bat said smiling as they left the apartment and made for the elevator, getting in and taking it down.  “It’s really not that hard, I mean, your athletic, you should pick it up in no time.”
