I did some touchups on the high-res upscale since it didn't quite get certain parts upscaled well. Again, extra big so you can see all my extra-shitty brushwork. on the final high-res version I cleaned up bits around the mouth, teeth, knees, some shadows, a number of parts of the fur, and some shadows around the front leg. This is the second time I'll have uploaded this one, and am reuploading it along with Good Morning Mouse.\n\nTo be fair, I like the oil painted quality of it, with big, broad, often messy brush strokes.\n\nI'm really happy that I only had to kick it a few times with gens, before upscaling and then repainting by hand.\n\nAs I stated in the first upload, the original is a blatant sketch/trace of a photograph sourced off of google, which I decided on and expanded the frame of, as well as changing the position of (really, adding entirely) the left leg, the entire expression, etc. I initially discovered a similar pose when looking for an \"on the belly from behind\" pose for \"Lion in Red Ballcap\" (which didn't pan out), but it wasn't at the angle I wanted, and I later searched to find one at a lower angle side view. Alright, finally got this done to a quality that I like. I did some touchups on the high-res upscale since it didn't quite get certain parts upscaled well. Again, extra big so you can see all my extra-shitty brushwork. on the final high-res version I cleaned up bits around the mouth, teeth, knees, some shadows, a number of parts of the fur, and some shadows around the front leg. This is the second time I'll have uploaded this one, and am reuploading it along with Good Morning Mouse.
To be fair, I like the oil painted quality of it, with big, broad, often messy brush strokes.
I'm really happy that I only had to kick it a few times with gens, before upscaling and then repainting by hand.
As I stated in the first upload, the original is a blatant sketch/trace of a photograph sourced off of google, which I decided on and expanded the frame of, as well as changing the position of (really, adding entirely) the left leg, the entire expression, etc. I initially discovered a similar pose when looking for an "on the belly from behind" pose for "Lion in Red Ballcap" (which didn't pan out), but it wasn't at the angle I wanted, and I later searched to find one at a lower angle side view.
