It’s been a while now, since the collapse of pretty much everything. I made a visit to the castle last night, just to see how everything is. It didn’t look too different from what little I saw, but I could feel it in the air: it wasn’t the same, and never will never be again.\n\nDuring my visit though, the Circle of Unity, as they were called, were cleaning out the castle, removing all sorts of unneeded stuff. I found a journal they were about to throw away. It had the family coat of arms on the front, too, which I tore off and threw away in front of the guards who were watching. When I left the city again, I tore out the pages of someone named “Captain Hereles,” dug a hole, and buried them in it out of respect of his privacy. I think that’s the name of the noivern guard captain who I heard shouting orders as my family retreated to the throne room. I hope he’s okay...\n\nAnyway, as of right now it’s April 25th in the afternoon. It’s been nine days after the grovyle, Xani Jynerva, seized everything my family had. After not even a day, Xani started transforming the city into a more defensible place--a fortress. He’s going militaristic with the entire city. And if things couldn’t be bad enough, a lot more Pokémon are acting more… “uncivilized.” “Marking territories,” devouring other Pokémon for food and pleasure, committing heinous sexual acts against people’s bodies, and I even heard a rumor or two about acts of slavery, which today remains a secret to Jynerva’s forces. And I don’t think Jynerva minds the acts being committed in the open. I don’t think he even cares. Maybe he likes it.\n\nAll of this… none of this is freedom. It’s chaos. It feels like anarchy. Barbarianism. All for what, my parents trying to do the right thing to make peace with the humans? Does no one appreciate not wanting to kill each other? I guess the Circle doesn’t care about their lives. Or anyone else’s.\n\nThen there’s the strange part. The zygarde I saw… I couldn’t tell the gender from so far away, but I know I saw a zygarde. What was their deal, though? I heard the stories: They watch the ecosystem, reacting based on its state. They’re legendary Pokémon. I thought they were the good guys?\n\nBut what may be the most confusing of all… the lucario speaking of me being a “secret child.” I guess it makes sense, since I didn’t see the city much, but why keep me a secret? I’m thankful I was kept a secret, otherwise… what I don’t want to think about would have happened to me.\n\n---\n\nSindi sat still, her body frozen. She was writing in her journal, carrying the journal with one ribbon and writing with a pen with another ribbon. After a few minutes, she continued writing and reading aloud, “Regardless… I guess it doesn’t matter much right now. What matters right now is I do what I need to do to survive in what hopefully won’t become a wasteland.” She stopped again, thinking.\n\nThen Sindi continued. “Let’s write about the present now: I found a cave to call home, temporarily. No one else lives here, that was something I triple-checked for right after I got here. Sooo now I have some not-very-comfy shelter with a nice campfire, and the next thing I’ll need is--”\n\n“No! Let me go! Let me-- aagh!!”\n\n“Sssquirm more, rat!”\n\nSindi’s ears twitched. Dropping the pen, she bolted like lightning for the cave entrance. What she saw horrified her: In the forest, she could see a seviper coiling around a raichu, and pinning the mouse Pokémon against a rock. Both of them were male, and the long-fanged Pokémon’s twin cocks were erected, seemingly ready to pound the raichu into submission.\n\n“Oh no…” she murmured to herself as she sprinted for a tree to hide behind. “Oh Arceus, oh no, what do I do? Sh-should I save him? I… I can’t… I don’t want to fight… I--”\n\nThe seviper shoved one of his cocks hard into the raichu, right down to the base.\n\n\"AUGH!\" the raichu yelled in pain. \"St... stop this! Stop this at once!\"\n\nLicking the other Pokémon's face with his forked tongue, the snake tilted his head and stared. \"Poor you. Ssshall we ssskip right to my lunch inssstead?\"\n\n\"N... no!\"\n\n\"GOOD!\" He then vigorously bobbed the raichu up and down on his member, pounding his rear with it. \"Oooh, I already feel pre oooozing right out of me. How wet your assss musst feel right now...\"\n\n“No more! Pl-please!” The raichu squirmed again.\n\n“Enough…”\n\nThe snake turned his head around. “A sssylveon? How unanticccipated! But sso very welcome…”\n\n“I can’t let you harm the poor dear any longer, friend. Please release him.”\n\n“Oooh, a female asss well! You’ll be a nice fit for both of my membersss.” He tossed the raichu aside, his body landing not very softly against the dirt. “Presssent yoursself to me, if you would.”\n\n\"Not happening,” Sindi shook her head. “I won't be used by you for your sick sexual games. Neither will he.\"\n\nThe snake slithered closer and closer, waiting for his somewhat obstructive members to slide back into their slits. As soon as they were flaccid enough, the seviper moved as fast as he could as he shouted, “THEN DIE!”\n\nOnce he was close enough, the seviper raised his tail and pointed it straight at the sylveon, and thrusted it forwards, the tip aimed at her face. The moment she saw it move, she hopped to the side, evading it, though she noticed the tail turned to try to coil around her. Guessing that he was still intent on using her, she quickly pulled her ribbons together, with a shade of light blue starting to illuminate from the air around her. Sindi stared dead ahead at the fanged Pokémon, and flung her ribbons open, spreading them as a harsh gust of wind was launched at the snake. The seviper was pushed backwards by the fairy-type’s wind attack. But he didn’t seem to receive much damage.\n\n“Ssss!” he hissed, scrambling upright. “That may have knocked me down, but that barely hurt!”\n\nOh no… Sindi thought as she backed away, I can’t even bring myself to harm someone…\n\nThe seviper took the opportunity to close the distance by rapidly slithering forward, opening its jaws to inflict a strong, vicious bite.\n\n“No…!” the sylveon said, backing away. It felt as if she could barely move, as if she were paralyzed by something: fear. “I can’t…?!”\n\n“RAAAI...!”\n\nBefore the seviper could turn around, he was almost immediately surrounded by yellow electricity, which was agonizingly shocking his body. He hissed with severe, seemingly unending pain. “GYAAAAAH!” he screamed.\n\n“CHU!”\n\nThe electrical attack stopped, and the seviper fell to the ground, unconscious. Sindi stared, her body still frozen. All she did was stare silently.\n\n“Hah! Still had some left in me after all,” the raichu said from the other side of the seviper. He made a half circle around his body to meet the sylveon, looking at her. “Name’s Artekai. Nice to meet ya.”\n\nThe sylveon said nothing.\n\n“You okay?”\n\n“It’s… it’s noth--”\n\n“Don’t look like no nothin’ to me.” He looked past her, eying a cave. “That cave your place over there?”\n\n“It’s…”\n\nThe raichu shook his head. “C’mon, let’s get you relaxing now.”\n\nAnd so, he helped Sindi back into her cave after picking up a little box that he kept by his side, which he left slung over his shoulder with a strap. It was common to see Pokémon walking around with a container for their money, food, and other things--especially when traveling.\n\nSindi, on the other hand, was at first a bit unwilling to return to the cave with Artekai due to her wariness, but something about his kindness made her warm up to his presence.\n\n“So, um… what brings you here?” Sindi asked as she sat down at a nearby cave wall.\n\n“Went to see what the hubbub was about in these parts. Heard a new leader’s in town a few days ago. Wanted to see what they’ve been up to.”\n\n“You heard of that a few days ago?”\n\n“Ee-yep.”\n\nThe sylveon nodded. “It’s a grovyle by the name of Xani Jynerva. He went to Arvilios Castle and killed every guard, ruler, and heir with his angry mob. Now he made himself ruler and renamed anything from Arvilios to Jynerva.”\n\n“Jynerva, huh?” The raichu looked to the side.\n\n“Yup. He took everything belonging to their family by force. Now he rules this land and has begun reconstructing the city into what’s slowly looking like a fortress.”\n\nHis eyes turned to look back at the sylveon. “I see.”\n\nThe two of them were silent for a few short minutes. Idly, Artekai looked around the stones of Sindi’s small fire pit, while Sindi laid down thoughtfully near the cave wall.\n\n“Hey…” she began, “you’re being really chummy. I only rescued-- well, attempted to rescue you just a moment ago.”\n\n“Don’t sell yourself short; if it wasn’t for you tryin’ to intervene, I never would’ve gotten out of that mess.” Artekai crossed his arms. “Anyway, you trying to save me. That’s why. That’s what counts, right? You make it sound like we’re becoming fast friends or somethin’.”\n\nStill looking down, she lightly shook her head before raising it to look at Artekai. “No, nothing like that. I… guess I’ve just been getting too used to Pokémon being less friendly than you. Since the disaster, anyway...”\n\nThe raichu gave a slow nod. “I can get that. You look an awful lot like you’ve had it rough lately.”\n\n“Yeah…” She lowered her head again, looking away. “I did.”\n\n“But hey, maybe it’ll all be better someday.”\n\n“What do you mean?”\n\n“What do I mean? I mean you’ll get to leave this place and find peace and all that.” Artekai moved to sit on one of the fire pit stones. “So what brings you out here anyway? Trying to get away, I’m guessing.”\n\n“Jynerva City is a mess now, so yes. I want to get as far away from it as possible. In fact… I’m considering moving to human territory until things change.”\n\n“You sound awfully scared to do that, missy.”\n\n“You can call me Sindi. And I am a little bit. I’m well aware of the, erm… problems between Pokémon and humans…”\n\n“You think they’re gonna hurtcha?”\n\n“Yeah. Well, no, I think they… might?”\n\n“Doubt it.” Artekai responded firmly. “I doubt the humans these days are like what Pokémon always said they were.”\n\n“I do too. I grew up being told that they weren’t bad people by my family. But I’m always surrounded by…”\n\n“Skeptics.”\n\nThe sylveon nodded.\n\n“Don’t listen to ‘em, and don’t let it get to ya. Judge based on your own eyes, not someone else’s. That’s what I always say.”\n\n“But can’t it lead to danger though?”\n\n“Depends what it is. Example: if a food’s poisonous, probably best to listen to what they say about it. But if it’s people they’re labeling as some’n, well… it’s up to you to decide if it’s best to check out what the hubbub’s about.”\n\n“Does that mean you’re still going to check out the city even with what I said?”\n\n“Yup. Wanna see for myself. Besides, I’ve got some personal business over yonder.”\n\n“I… I understand. But… er... first, are you heading out soon?”\n\n“In a few minutes, yeah.” He put a paw on his box.\n\nSindi closed her eyes, then nodded. “Then… can you just do one thing for me?”\n\n“And what’ll that be, Ms. Sindi?”\n\nThe sylveon sighed. “Be careful.”\n\n---\n\nThe air was chilling. Freezing, perhaps to the point that it could turn one to ice. It penetrated the fur. It tested one’s strength and willpower. In fact, the feeling was much more like a storm of freezing gusts of wind, blowing without relent.\n\nAt least, that was how Jarus felt that day. The remorse he felt from his actions were hard to ignore. It bit at him viciously, eating him alive from the inside. Standing on the same wall that his aura sphere tore through just made the feeling worse. Yet for some reason he felt a need to bathe in it, his feeling of regret. No matter how many times he told himself, “I’m doing the right thing,” and “My every action is and will be just,” he still found it hard to convince himself. And when he did, at least temporarily, he still at times felt that his actions were filthy. Absolutely filthy.\n\nIf only I were in possession of apathy… the lucario thought. With it, I could forget my past actions. All of them. He placed a paw on the wall’s merlons--the raised, “tooth-like” sections that medieval-style walls typically have--and looked out at the much more modern-looking city that surrounded the castle in an attempt to take his mind off of things.\n\nAs unnatural as you are, you are indeed a marvel to behold, he continued to think. A somewhat human-style metropolis, created with the bare hands, paws, and wings of Pokémon of all shapes, sizes, families, and clans. Yet now the inevitable time has come to reshape you, allowing you to fulfill a grander purpose… lest we fall to the enemies who truly deny the desire, the yearning for peace. He looked at one of the city walls, watching as Pokémon poured liquid concrete into a large mold to fortify them in a way that mere stone could not. Even still, it is astonishing that the Pokémon who first migrated here had the supplies needed to erect what originally needed to be a large settlement with medieval designs, humanlike in nature. If they had more supplies, I wonder if it would have looked vastly different from that. Hmm. He leaned forwards against the merlon, putting himself in a more casual posture. You started out as a settlement, then you grew into a town, then a city. The walls kept to their old style when the Arvilios slowly stepped away from the idea of opposing humans. Meanwhile, the city itself underwent its own theme revisions. Now, to this day, some Pokémon prefer concrete, while some others prefer more nature-themed buildings. The lucario let out a brief chuckle. Our preferences are diverse, indeed. It certainly shows to this very da--\n\n“Jarus,” called Xani’s voice. The lucario promptly turned his head to see him approaching. “I see you’re out here watching over our city.”\n\n“More like enjoying the view.” He slipped back into a much less casual standing posture, his paw off of the merlon. “I prefer to take in what I can before the appearance of the city walls transforms into something more militaristic.”\n\n“You mean you don’t appreciate it?”\n\n“Not artistically, although their current appearance isn’t that much more…”\n\n“Natural-looking?” Xani crossed his arms.\n\nJarus nodded. “Correct.”\n\n“It sounds obsessive to me. Obsessive for natural things.” The grovyle dismissively fanned his hand. “Too much so that you can’t even appreciate the concept of design.”\n\n“Just because I have a preference,” Jarus corrected, shaking his head, “doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate it.”\n\n“Please excuse our interruption, my liege!” a voice called from behind Xani. It was an umbreon who spoke, with an espeon right beside him.\n\n“Hahah! Just in time,” Xani spoke up. “It is no problem, Eklal. And hello you two. Jarus, I wanted you to meet my handpicked agents, Eklal and Jorivara. Though sometimes they may not act like such, they are the best the Circle has to offer. They specialize in matters ranging from sabotage to gathering intelligence. If it weren’t for these two, you wouldn’t have been able to infiltrate the Royal Guard, which allowed us to breach their defenses.”\n\n“It’s nice to finally meet Murava’s servant,” stated Jorivara the espeon. “There’s much we’ve heard about you two.”\n\n“It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance as well, Eklal and Jorivara,” the lucario replied, smiling. “I believe King Jynerva made you both quite busy in the past, which denied me from meeting you both in person, correct?” \n\n“Indeed!” the espeon answered. “He has kept us quite busy ever since we joined the Circle.”\n\n“And we’ve done our fair share of deeds for them as well!” Eklal added.\n\nThe lucario’s head tilted slightly. “I must ask: are the two of you siblings? You seem to have that sort of connection. Not to mention you both presumably being eevees beforehand…”\n\nEklal shook his head, with Jorivara replying, “Nope! We’re simply very good friends. We’ve known each other since we were eevees, though.”\n\n“Ah, I see.” The lucario gently clasped his paws together. “Well then, again: it’s nice to meet you two. Good luck on your next assignment as well.”\n\n“Which,” the grovyle interjected, “will likely be border patrol.”\n\n“Wait, what?” Eklal questioned.\n\n“Putting your top agents in a position such as that seems a bit strange,” Jarus commented.\n\nXani shook his head. “I know, but there is no other position I can give them at this time. Things have quieted down for now.”\n\n“You don’t even want us training other Pokémon soldiers?” Jorivara asked.\n\n“The positions are already filled, Jorivara.” Xani turned toward Jarus. “That reminds me, has Murava given you anything to do yet?\n\n“She has not. Why do you ask?”\n\n“Curiosity; I wanted to know if you needed any assistance. But it’s clear that you are fine, at least for now.”\n\n“You had nothing you wanted of me?”\n\n“Issuing orders to a servant of Murava is something I would rather not do. I… erm… trust her judgment.”\n\n“That sounds much less like trusting judgment. Moreso… something else.”\n\n“I repeat myself: I trust her judgment.”\n\n“Very well then,” Jarus replied before he turned his head back to the city, watching new faces enter through one of the gates.”\n\n---\n\n“So this is the city,” Artekai thought as he looked around, seeing all sorts of buildings both large and small, tall and short, wooden and concrete. “Only real difference I see from Narukara town is that not everything is made of sandstone. Heh.”\n\nGoing toward the local bar, the raichu noted his immediate surroundings: A workshop, the bar he was walking to, a hospital, an apartment tower, and houses everywhere. Everything around him looked much more modern than the city walls, and the more natural-looking buildings were a couple of blocks away. “Don’t know why the walls look so ancient though. Probably a historical thing.” His shoulders shrugged as he entered the bar.\n\n“Nivilis’ Pub,” the sign of neon lights said. He walked in, and the bar was almost packed. Every corner had an adult Pokémon in it, sipping all sorts of oran and cheri berry-derived drinks. Music without lyrics blared out of a jukebox at the far end of the bar, which Artekai eventually realized he hadn’t paid any sort of attention to.\n\nBustlin’ as ever, the raichu thought. Not much of a city without a bustling tav--\n\n“Oh, hello! A new face!” a male audino behind the counter spoke up. “Welcome, welcome!”\n\nArtekai walked up to the counter and sat down, plopping his box next to him. “You Nivilis?”\n\n“No, no! My boss is in the back!” he pointed with a finger. “Did you need him?”\n\n“Nope, just curious. I’m new ‘round these parts.”\n\n“Oh! Welcome to… Jynerva City, stranger!” He seemed to hesitate on the name, as if he were still adjusting to the change in ownership. “What can I get for you?”\n\n“Just a cold brown ale,” Artekai replied as he flicked a bit of dirt off of his ear. “Shaken, if you would.”\n\n“Comin’ right up!” The audino turned around and poured the dark amber fluid into a cocktail shaker from the nozzle of a machine, then turned toward Artekai, shaking up the drink. Then he realized he wasn’t shaking a cocktail, but rather a simple drink, and wondered why the raichu asked for it in the first place.\n\nArtekai could see “What?” written all over the audino’s face. He smirked as his small glass was filled with ale.\n\n“So where ya from, if you don’t mind me asking?” the pink-and-cream Pokémon asked, leaning lightly on the counter.\n\n“Narukara Town.”\n\n“The deserts of the northwest? Last I heard, crossing the canyon to get here is very dangerous!”\n\n“I take it you don’t know that a bridge was made there a few years back,” he said before taking a swig of his ale, letting out a satisfied “Ahh!”\n\n“Hm. I suppose I don’t. But I guess that explains your accent.”\n\n“Yep. Town is mostly of raichus, pikachus, pichus, plusles, and minuns. It’s a real family-like clan, y’see.” Artekai took another swig, swishing it around in his mouth before he swallowed.\n\n“Mhm!” the audino nodded. “That, I have heard of!”\n\n“But what about a pichu runnin’ ‘round here by the name is Raltenzi?”\n\n“Ral-what?”\n\n“Raltenzi. A friend’s daughter. Came here lookin’ for her.” A few swigs later, his drink was gone.\n\nThe audino blinked. “I’ve seen all manner of Pokémon here. No pichu like that, though.”\n\n“None?”\n\n“Never heard nor seen. How long was she gone?”\n\n“About a month.”\n\n“Well, I’ve seen three. But none of them are new faces to me.”\n\n“Well drat,” the raichu said. “Thanks for your time then.” The mouse Pokémon started getting out of his seat.\n\n“No refill or anything?”\n\n“Nothin’ of the sort.” He picked up the box and reached into it while he turned around and headed for the exit..\n\n“Well okay, but don’t forget to--”\n\nA coin was flipped from the raichu’s paws, and it flew over his head and landed on the counter in front of the audino. The bartender opened his mouth, but the raichu cut him off by saying, “Keep the change.\n\nAs Artekai stepped out, he caught sight of a wynaut in front of a building’s wall, painting on it. Upon closer inspection, the wynaut was using its earlike arms to paint over the wall with a flat shade of red--the same color as the rest of the wall. It painted over what looked like an emblem of two charizards holding a shield with 18 colors. He watched it for a moment as it painted in its place a grovyle holding the very same shield. Walking away, Artekai said to himself, “So she was right about one thing: the hands of authority are changin’.” He looked at an apartment building and started to head there. “Or they already changed…”\n\n---\n\n“Seriously, though? I can’t believe it.” Eklal shook his head. “Border patrol? Why us?”\n\nJorivara shrugged. “We’re his most trustworthy Circle team. I don’t blame him. After all, we don’t really have anything else to do now that Arvilios is down for the count.”\n\n“But whyyyyyy can’t we just do something else, Jori?” Eklal tilted his head.\n\n“There’s nothing else that needs our attention. At least not yet.” The espeon stared ahead at the path ahead of them. The forest was becoming less dense the further forward they went, and the dirt path was leading to a small, open plain that was 10 more minutes away.\n\nThe two friends were silent for a little while, until Jorivara asked, “So… what do you think will happen to the Circle now that Arvilios has been razed?”\n\nFor a little while, there was silence between the two friends.\n\nThen the espeon broke the silence. “So… what do you think will happen to the Circle now that Arvilios has been razed?”\n\n“Weren’t you-- oh dammit, right, I forgot. You weren’t there that day. Yeah, Xani and Murava decided to merge the Circle with the Jynerva military,” Eklal replied, looking at Jorivara as he spoke. “The Circle’s no more.”\n\n“The Circle was made to keep things in check in case Arvilios screwed something up,” Jorivara noted. “What keeps Jynerva in check?”\n\n“I dunno. He’ll do better than the Arvilios though. I’m sure of it.”\n\nThe espeon and umbreon were silent again as they walked for another few minutes. Then the umbreon broke the silence. “Not much farther now,” Eklal noted. “Race you there?”\n\n“We ran halfway to the border as a part of a race already. Don’t you remember us agreeing to save our energy afterward?”\n\n“I do. But now I wanna go again.”\n\nJorivara smiled softly. “You can be such a child at times. A vulgar one at that.”\n\n“You know how I get when the time calls for being serious.”\n\nThe espeon nodded. “So about that--” Eklal stopped him, putting a paw in the way.\n\n“Wait,” he whispered. “You hear someone talking?”\n\nJorivara lifted one of his ears. Then both of them. “Faintly, yeah. I do, in fact. Shall we take a look?”\n\n“Yes, let’s.” With that said, the duo darted off in the direction of the voice they heard in the distance.\n\n“Dear Diary,” they heard from a feminine voice talking to herself. “As I write this, I am nearing the Jynerva City border. Hopefully I can reach human territory in a timely mann--”\n\n“Hey there friend!” Eklal greeted, pouncing in front of the sylveon. “Hey, aren’t you that sylveon girl, Sindi?”\n\n“Ahh! Umm… hi! And… erm… yes?” She tilted her head, her body trembling a little bit from being startled. “H-how do you know? Who are you?”\n\nShe quickly turned around when she heard the sound of someone walking up behind her. “Jorivara. And the umbreon, my friend, is Eklal,” the espeon replied. “We’re from the Circle of Unity, and we’re currently patrolling the borders of Jynerva territory.\n\nWait, what?! Sindi thought. Arvilios never had Pokémon patrolling the borders… I didn’t think Jynerva would do such a thing! What the heck?! “Oh! I… I see!”\n\n“We heard you talking out loud about going to human territory!” the umbreon mentioned. “Is that true?”\n\n“I-it’s none of your business, ‘friend,’” she replied coldly, continuing to walk ahead, away from the umbreon and espeon.\n\n“Yeesh, she’s cold as ice!” Eklal remarked once she was out of earshot. “But Arceus... she looks…”\n\n“Don’t even think about it, Eklal,” Jorivara said, walking in front of him to block the view between him and Sindi. The umbreon persistently tried moving his head repeatedly to keep looking at her.\n\n“Come on, Jori,” Eklal urged. “Just mind control her! You may as well hypnotize her into reconsidering going to human territory. You know, while you’re at it.”\n\n“The fennekin from before our little race wasn’t enough for you? Now you want more?”\n\n“Two reasons: One, I wanna teach her a lesson in being so cold to strangers who just wanna help. Two, who knows what she’ll get herself into? It’d be for her own good!”\n\nJorivara sighed, weighing the idea in his mind. “You’re particularly frisky,” he commented. “But… I suppose I agree with both of your points.” Before giving Eklal a chance to respond, he made a dash for the sylveon. He moved in front of her, blocking the way.\n\n“Hey!” she shouted. “You better not be trying to deny me from leaving!”\n\n“I’m sorry, but after discussing it with my friend, we’ve decided we won’t allow you to go into human territory.”\n\n“You can’t do that!”\n\nThe espeon blinked, then took a short breath. “You know the dangers of humans. For your own safety, we are--”\n\n“No way on this planet should yoube allowed to dictate what I can and can’t do,” she interrupted.\n\nJorivara sighed.\n\n“I’m going, whether you two like it or not!” She started walking past him, but when she felt Jorivara’s paw on her back, her face snapped onto him, staring angrily at the espeon’s amethyst eyes as she yelled, “Keep your paws off of me!”\n\nAha! Perfectly focused eye contact. At that moment, he knew he had her. “That’s it, focus on my eyes.. Stare long and deep.”\n\n“I…!” She shook her head, trying to break free of the trap that she was caught in. But she couldn’t help but stare. Somehow his eyes pulled her in even further, like the most turbulent of whirlpools.\n\n“Ease your gaze onto me. Relax yourself. Everything will be all right.”\n\nEklal walked up to the sylveon from behind. “Got her?” he whispered.\n\n“Barely resisted me,” Jorivara answered, not even blinking. “Well… I... suppose you may begin.” He turned around.\n\n“Yummy…~” Eklal licked his lips as he placed himself on top of her, his member quickly extending from its sheath and prodding the sylveon’s tailhole. “You know you don’t have to turn around like that. You’ve seen me mating a beautiful girl before.”\n\nJorivara’s eye twitched. “This is… different.”\n\nThe umbreon shrugged. “Suit yourself.” He slowly eased his member inside. Sindi’s rear was not very tight, as if she had been violated before. “Ah, damn…!”\n\n“Aah!~” the sylveon gasped, her body pulling back a little, resulting in her ass being lifted higher into the air, leaving her even more vulnerable.\n\n“Oooh…” Soon Eklal’s cock was pushed inside enough that his knot bumped against Sindi. As he moaned and moaned, mindless Sindi following along, he started to slowly push and pull his member. Inward and outward it swayed, a small shot of lubricating pre-cum entering her.\n\n“Mmn,” Eklal moaned. “Wow, aren’t you a tight little thing? It feels so lovely...” His pace quickened. “It makes me want to screw you even harder…!”\n\n“Ngh…!~” The sylveon moaned out of pleasure, offering negligible resistance. Her mind and her thoughts out of reach, she unconsciously enjoyed the pounding--just as she was meant to. “Ah… aah!~” \n\n“Perhaps,” Jorivara turned around, his head facing downward, his eyes only catching the shadows of Sindi and Eklal, “you could… settle down the ruckus for a change?”\n\n“Hngh… nnf… why… hngh… would I do that?” the umbreon asked in-between thrusts. He was certainly he was enjoying himself.\n\n“Because… erm… you’re--”\n\n“You wanna have a little fun with her too, don’t you?” Eklal interrupted. “Just admit it… hnff… nngh... you want it.”\n\n“No, it’s not that at all!” he replied defensively.\n\n“Come on… ngh… just let loose. Let all your... troubles just… hmnf… fade away! Besides, she won’t remember a thing--right?”\n\nJorivara stood there, watching as Sindi gasped at the feeling of what he presumed was more pre-cum getting inside of her. “No, I…” He walked in front of Sindi and sat down in front of her, his member already half-erect. “I… suppose she won’t.” He lifted his paw, placed it on the sylveon’s head, and eased her mouth down on his cock. “S… suck me off nice and softly, little Sindi,” he commanded. With saliva all around his member, it didn’t take long until it erected fully. “Hnnf…”\n\nPromptly, the sylveon started pushing her mouth down on Jorivara’s member, with her mouth also being shoved further every so often because of Eklal pounding her from behind. “Mmh…” With her mouth full of cock, her moans became shorter, but they were still frequent.\n\nAfter a few more vigorous thrusts, Sindi’s ass was filled to the brim with fresh, sticky cum. With his whitish seed dripping out, he was tempted to knot her then and there, but he decided against it, as he would rather save it for a more romantic occasion. Meanwhile, Jorivara was quickly reaching his climax.\n\n“Ngha...” he moaningly gasped, his paw still on the sylveon’s head. “Yes… Keep sucking… keep… aaah…” Jorivara felt a wave of pleasure blow over him, a feeling that took him by surprise as he orgasmed into Sindi’s mouth. Cumshot after cumshot, her maw became filled with his seed. “Now sw… swallow it all,” he ordered as he gently slipped his knotted cock out of her mouth.\n\nThe sylveon stared at him as he swallowed every bit of his cum. Her mouth emptied, with a bit of cum dripping down from it, she had a look on her unconscious face that was awaiting more orders.\n\nJorivara gazed into Sindi’s eyes, examining just how mindless they seemed. This wasn’t the first time he dominated someone’s mind, but this was the first time he did it for sexual reasons. The feeling of being in control of her in this way created a temptation that itched his mind, a temptation that beckoned him to try it on other Pokémon. “I feel so… indecent,” he remarked, looking away from Sindi.\n\n“Oh relax, once you get used to it, it won’t be so bad anymore,” Eklal tried to reassure him. “Trust me. Besides, I can tell from your blushes that you liked it! I doubt you feel that bad.”\n\nThe espeon backed away a bit from Sindi. “I suppose I did enjoy that a bit.”\n\n“And we can do it even more. This is freedom, Jori. This is what we’ve been waiting the longest time for. We couldn’t do this with Arvilios in charge. Now we have the freedom to do whatever we want to weak Pokémon like her…~”\n\n“I don’t… know if I agree with that.”\n\n“You will in time,” Eklal reassured again, smirking. “As for her, we’ll leave her here.”\n\n“But she’s unclean, she’ll wake up and be suspicious of--”\n\n“Not if you hypnotize her like I suggested. She won’t think it’s us, and she won’t even be going to human territory either. It’s perfect.”\n\nJorivara looked at Sindi, who blankly stared back at him. He didn’t say anything for a few minutes, thinking. Until he finally said, “Alright. I’ll do it.”\n\nEklal grinned.\n","writing_bbcode_parsed":"Dear Diary,

So. It’s been a while now, since the collapse of pretty much everything. I made a visit to the castle last night, just to see how everything is. It didn’t look too different from what little I saw, but I could feel it in the air: it wasn’t the same, and never will never be again.

During my visit though, the Circle of Unity, as they were called, were cleaning out the castle, removing all sorts of unneeded stuff. I found a journal they were about to throw away. It had the family coat of arms on the front, too, which I tore off and threw away in front of the guards who were watching. When I left the city again, I tore out the pages of someone named “Captain Hereles,” he screamed.

“CHU!”

The electrical attack stopped, and the seviper fell to the ground, unconscious. Sindi stared, her body still frozen. All she did was stare silently.

“Hah! Still had some left in me after all,” the raichu said from the other side of the seviper. He made a half circle around his body to meet the sylveon, looking at her. “Name’s Artekai. Nice to meet ya.”

The sylveon said nothing.

“You okay?”

“It’s… guess I’ve just been getting too used to Pokémon being less friendly than you. Since the disaster, anyway...”

The raichu gave a slow nod. “I can get that. You look an awful lot like you’ve had it rough lately.”

“Yeah…” She lowered her head again, looking away. “I did.”

“But hey, maybe it’ll all be better someday.”

“What do you mean?”

“What do I mean? I mean you’ll get to leave this place and find peace and all that.” Artekai moved to sit on one of the fire pit stones. “So what brings you out here anyway? Trying to get away, I’m guessing.”

“Jynerva City is a mess now, so yes. I want to get as far away from it as possible. In fact… Artekai responded firmly. “I doubt the humans these days are like what Pokémon always said they were.”

“I do too. I grew up being told that they weren’t bad people by my family. But I’m always surrounded by…”

“Skeptics.”

The sylveon nodded.

“Don’t listen to ‘em, and don’t let it get to ya. Judge based on your own eyes, not someone else’s. That’s what I always say.”

“But can’t it lead to danger though?”

“Depends what it is. Example: if a food’s poisonous, probably best to listen to what they say about it. But if it’s people they’re labeling as some’n, well… it’s up to you to decide if it’s best to check out what the hubbub’s about.”

“Does that mean you’re still going to check out the city even with what I said?”

“Yup. Wanna see for myself. Besides, I’ve got some personal business over yonder.”

“I… I understand. But… er... first, are you heading out soon?”

“In a few minutes, yeah.” He put a paw on his box.

Sindi closed her eyes, then nodded. “Then… can you just do one thing for me?”

“And what’ll that be, Ms. Sindi?”

The sylveon sighed. “Be careful.”

---

The air was chilling. Freezing, perhaps to the point that it could turn one to ice. It penetrated the fur. It tested one’s strength and willpower. In fact, the feeling was much more like a storm of freezing gusts of wind, blowing without relent.

At least, that was how Jarus felt that day. Absolutely filthy.

If only I were in possession of apathy… the lucario thought. With it, I could forget my past actions. All of them. He placed a paw on the wall’s merlons--the raised, “tooth-like” sections that medieval-style walls typically have--and looked out at the much more modern-looking city that surrounded the castle in an attempt to take his mind off of things.

As unnatural as you are, you are indeed a marvel to behold, he continued to think. It certainly shows to this very da--

“Jarus,” called Xani’s voice. The lucario promptly turned his head to see him approaching. “I see you’re out here watching over our city.”

“More like enjoying the view.” He slipped back into a much less casual standing posture, his paw off of the merlon. “I prefer to take in what I can before the appearance of the city walls transforms into something more militaristic.”

“You mean you don’t appreciate it?”

“Not artistically, although their current appearance isn’t that much more…”

“Natural-looking?” Xani crossed his arms.

Jarus nodded. “Correct.”

“It sounds obsessive to me. Obsessive for natural things.” The grovyle dismissively fanned his hand. “Too much so that you can’t even appreciate the concept of design.”

“Just because I have a preference,” Jarus corrected, shaking his head, “doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate it.”

“Please excuse our interruption, my liege!” a voice called from behind Xani. It was an umbreon who spoke, with an espeon right beside him.

“Hahah! If it weren’t for these two, you wouldn’t have been able to infiltrate the Royal Guard, which allowed us to breach their defenses.”

“It’s nice to finally meet Murava’s servant,” stated Jorivara the espeon. “There’s much we’ve heard about you two.”

“It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance as well, Eklal and Jorivara,” the lucario replied, smiling. “I believe King Jynerva made you both quite busy in the past, which denied me from meeting you both in person, correct?”

“Indeed!” the espeon answered. “He has kept us quite busy ever since we joined the Circle.”

“And we’ve done our fair share of deeds for them as well!” Eklal added.

The lucario’s head tilted slightly. “I must ask: are the two of you siblings? You seem to have that sort of connection. Not to mention you both presumably being eevees beforehand…”

Eklal shook his head, with Jorivara replying, “Nope! We’re simply very good friends. We’ve known each other since we were eevees, though.”

“Ah, I see.” The lucario gently clasped his paws together. “Well then, again: it’s nice to meet you two. Good luck on your next assignment as well.”

“Which,” the grovyle interjected, “will likely be border patrol.”

“Wait, what?” Eklal questioned.

“Putting your top agents in a position such as that seems a bit strange,” Jarus commented.

Xani shook his head. “I know, but there is no other position I can give them at this time. Things have quieted down for now.”

“You don’t even want us training other Pokémon soldiers?” Jorivara asked.

“The positions are already filled, Jorivara.” Xani turned toward Jarus. “That reminds me, has Murava given you anything to do yet?

“She has not. Why do you ask?”

“Curiosity; I wanted to know if you needed any assistance. But it’s clear that you are fine, at least for now.”

“You had nothing you wanted of me?”

“Issuing orders to a servant of Murava is something I would rather not do. I… erm… trust her judgment.”

“That sounds much less like trusting judgment. Moreso… something else.”

“I repeat myself: I trust her judgment.”

“Very well then,” Jarus replied before he turned his head back to the city, watching new faces enter through one of the gates.”

---

“So this is the city,” Artekai thought as he looked around, seeing all sorts of buildings both large and small, tall and short, wooden and concrete. “Only real difference I see from Narukara town is that not everything is made of sandstone. Heh.”

Going toward the local bar, the raichu noted his immediate surroundings: A workshop, the bar he was walking to, a hospital, an apartment tower, and houses everywhere. Everything around him looked much more modern than the city walls, and the more natural-looking buildings were a couple of blocks away. “Don’t know why the walls look so ancient though. Probably a historical thing.” His shoulders shrugged as he entered the bar.

“Nivilis’ Pub,” the sign of neon lights said. He walked in, and the bar was almost packed. Every corner had an adult Pokémon in it, sipping all sorts of oran and cheri berry-derived drinks. Music without lyrics blared out of a jukebox at the far end of the bar, which Artekai eventually realized he hadn’t paid any sort of attention to.

Bustlin’ as ever, the raichu thought. Not much of a city without a bustling tav--

“Oh, hello! A new face!” a male audino behind the counter spoke up. “Welcome, welcome!”

Artekai walked up to the counter and sat down, plopping his box next to him. “You Nivilis?”

“No, no! My boss is in the back!” he pointed with a finger. “Did you need him?”

“Nope, just curious. I’m new ‘round these parts.”

“Oh! Welcome to… Jynerva City, stranger!” He seemed to hesitate on the name, as if he were still adjusting to the change in ownership. “What can I get for you?”

“Just a cold brown ale,” Artekai replied as he flicked a bit of dirt off of his ear. “Shaken, if you would.”

“Comin’ right up!” The audino turned around and poured the dark amber fluid into a cocktail shaker from the nozzle of a machine, then turned toward Artekai, shaking up the drink. Then he realized he wasn’t shaking a cocktail, but rather a simple drink, and wondered why the raichu asked for it in the first place.

Artekai could see “What?” written all over the audino’s face. He smirked as his small glass was filled with ale.

“So where ya from, if you don’t mind me asking?” the pink-and-cream Pokémon asked, leaning lightly on the counter.

“Narukara Town.”

“The deserts of the northwest? Last I heard, crossing the canyon to get here is very dangerous!”

“I take it you don’t know that a bridge was made there a few years back,” he said before taking a swig of his ale, letting out a satisfied “Ahh!”

“Hm. I suppose I don’t. But I guess that explains your accent.”

“Yep. Town is mostly of raichus, pikachus, pichus, plusles, and minuns. It’s a real family-like clan, y’see.” Artekai took another swig, swishing it around in his mouth before he swallowed.

“Mhm!” the audino nodded. “That, I have heard of!”

“But what about a pichu runnin’ ‘round here by the name is Raltenzi?”

“Ral-what?”

“Raltenzi. A friend’s daughter. Came here lookin’ for her.” A few swigs later, his drink was gone.

The audino blinked. “I’ve seen all manner of Pokémon here. No pichu like that, though.”

“None?”

“Never heard nor seen. How long was she gone?”

“About a month.”

“Well, I’ve seen three. But none of them are new faces to me.”

“Well drat,” the raichu said. “Thanks for your time then.” The mouse Pokémon started getting out of his seat.

“No refill or anything?”

“Nothin’ of the sort.” He picked up the box and reached into it while he turned around and headed for the exit..

“Well okay, but don’t forget to--”

A coin was flipped from the raichu’s paws, and it flew over his head and landed on the counter in front of the audino. The bartender opened his mouth, but the raichu cut him off by saying, “Keep the change.

As Artekai stepped out, he caught sight of a wynaut in front of a building’s wall, painting on it. “Or they already changed…”

---

“Seriously, though? I can’t believe it.” Eklal shook his head. “Border patrol? Why us?”

Jorivara shrugged. “We’re his most trustworthy Circle team. I don’t blame him. After all, we don’t really have anything else to do now that Arvilios is down for the count.”

“But whyyyyyy can’t we just do something else, Jori?” Eklal tilted his head.

“There’s nothing else that needs our attention. At least not yet.” The espeon stared ahead at the path ahead of them. The forest was becoming less dense the further forward they went, and the dirt path was leading to a small, open plain that was 10 more minutes away.

The two friends were silent for a little while, until Jorivara asked, “So… what do you think will happen to the Circle now that Arvilios has been razed?”

For a little while, there was silence between the two friends.

Then the espeon broke the silence. “So… what do you think will happen to the Circle now that Arvilios has been razed?”

“Weren’t you-- oh dammit, right, I forgot. You weren’t there that day. Yeah, Xani and Murava decided to merge the Circle with the Jynerva military,” Eklal replied, looking at Jorivara as he spoke. “The Circle’s no more.”

“The Circle was made to keep things in check in case Arvilios screwed something up,” Jorivara noted. “What keeps Jynerva in check?”

“I dunno. He’ll do better than the Arvilios though. I’m sure of it.”

The espeon and umbreon were silent again as they walked for another few minutes. Then the umbreon broke the silence. “Not much farther now,” Eklal noted. “Race you there?”

“We ran halfway to the border as a part of a race already. Don’t you remember us agreeing to save our energy afterward?”

“I do. But now I wanna go again.”

Jorivara smiled softly. “You can be such a child at times. A vulgar one at that.”

“You know how I get when the time calls for being serious.”

The espeon nodded. “So about that--” Eklal stopped him, putting a paw in the way.

“Wait,” he whispered. “You hear someone talking?”

Jorivara lifted one of his ears. Then both of them. “Faintly, yeah. I do, in fact. Shall we take a look?”

“Yes, let’s.” With that said, the duo darted off in the direction of the voice they heard in the distance.

“Dear Diary,” they heard from a feminine voice talking to herself. “As I write this, I am nearing the Jynerva City border. Hopefully I can reach human territory in a timely mann--”

“Hey there friend!” Eklal greeted, pouncing in front of the sylveon. “Hey, aren’t you that sylveon girl, Sindi?”

“Ahh! Umm… hi! And… erm… yes?” She tilted her head, her body trembling a little bit from being startled. “H-how do you know? Who are you?”

She quickly turned around when she heard the sound of someone walking up behind her. “Jorivara. And the umbreon, my friend, is Eklal,” the espeon replied. “We’re from the Circle of Unity, and we’re currently patrolling the borders of Jynerva territory.

Wait, what?! Sindi thought. Arvilios never had Pokémon patrolling the borders… I didn’t think Jynerva would do such a thing! What the heck?! “Oh! I… I see!”

“We heard you talking out loud about going to human territory!” the umbreon mentioned. “Is that true?”

“I-it’s none of your business, ‘friend,’” she replied coldly, continuing to walk ahead, away from the umbreon and espeon.

“Yeesh, she’s cold as ice!” Eklal remarked once she was out of earshot. “But Arceus... she looks…”

“Don’t even think about it, Eklal,” Jorivara said, walking in front of him to block the view between him and Sindi. The umbreon persistently tried moving his head repeatedly to keep looking at her.

“Come on, Jori,” Eklal urged. “Just mind control her! You may as well hypnotize her into reconsidering going to human territory. You know, while you’re at it.”

“The fennekin from before our little race wasn’t enough for you? Now you want more?”

“Two reasons: One, I wanna teach her a lesson in being so cold to strangers who just wanna help. Two, who knows what she’ll get herself into? It’d be for her own good!”

Jorivara sighed, weighing the idea in his mind. “You’re particularly frisky,” he commented. “But… I suppose I agree with both of your points.” Before giving Eklal a chance to respond, he made a dash for the sylveon. He moved in front of her, blocking the way.

“Hey!” she shouted. “You better not be trying to deny me from leaving!”

“I’m sorry, but after discussing it with my friend, we’ve decided we won’t allow you to go into human territory.”

“You can’t do that!”

The espeon blinked, then took a short breath. “You know the dangers of humans. For your own safety, we are--”

“No way on this planet should yoube allowed to dictate what I can and can’t do,” she interrupted.

Jorivara sighed.

“I’m going, whether you two like it or not!” She started walking past him, but when she felt Jorivara’s paw on her back, her face snapped onto him, staring angrily at the espeon’s amethyst eyes as she yelled, “Keep your paws off of me!”

Aha! Perfectly focused eye contact. At that moment, he knew he had her. “That’s it, focus on my eyes.. Stare long and deep.”

“I…!” She shook her head, trying to break free of the trap that she was caught in. But she couldn’t help but stare. Somehow his eyes pulled her in even further, like the most turbulent of whirlpools.

“Ease your gaze onto me. Relax yourself. Everything will be all right.”

Eklal walked up to the sylveon from behind. “Got her?” he whispered.

“Barely resisted me,” Jorivara answered, not even blinking. “Well… I... suppose you may begin.” He turned around.

“Yummy…~” Eklal licked his lips as he placed himself on top of her, his member quickly extending from its sheath and prodding the sylveon’s tailhole. “You know you don’t have to turn around like that. You’ve seen me mating a beautiful girl before.”

Jorivara’s eye twitched. “This is… different.”

The umbreon shrugged. “Suit yourself.” He slowly eased his member inside. Sindi’s rear was not very tight, as if she had been violated before. “Ah, damn…!”

“Aah!~” the sylveon gasped, her body pulling back a little, resulting in her ass being lifted higher into the air, leaving her even more vulnerable.

“Oooh…” Soon Eklal’s cock was pushed inside enough that his knot bumped against Sindi. As he moaned and moaned, mindless Sindi following along, he started to slowly push and pull his member. Inward and outward it swayed, a small shot of lubricating pre-cum entering her.

“Mmn,” Eklal moaned. “Wow, aren’t you a tight little thing? It feels so lovely...” His pace quickened. “It makes me want to screw you even harder…!”

“Ngh…!~” The sylveon moaned out of pleasure, offering negligible resistance. Her mind and her thoughts out of reach, she unconsciously enjoyed the pounding--just as she was meant to. “Ah… aah!~”

“Perhaps,” Jorivara turned around, his head facing downward, his eyes only catching the shadows of Sindi and Eklal, “you could… settle down the ruckus for a change?”

“Hngh… nnf… why… hngh… would I do that?” the umbreon asked in-between thrusts. He was certainly he was enjoying himself.

“Because… erm… you’re--”

“You wanna have a little fun with her too, don’t you?” Eklal interrupted. “Just admit it… hnff… nngh... you want it.”

“No, it’s not that at all!” he replied defensively.

“Come on… ngh… just let loose. Let all your... troubles just… hmnf… fade away! Besides, she won’t remember a thing--right?”

Jorivara stood there, watching as Sindi gasped at the feeling of what he presumed was more pre-cum getting inside of her. “Hnnf…”

Promptly, the sylveon started pushing her mouth down on Jorivara’s member, with her mouth also being shoved further every so often because of Eklal pounding her from behind. “Mmh…” With her mouth full of cock, her moans became shorter, but they were still frequent.

After a few more vigorous thrusts, Sindi’s ass was filled to the brim with fresh, sticky cum. With his whitish seed dripping out, he was tempted to knot her then and there, but he decided against it, as he would rather save it for a more romantic occasion. Meanwhile, Jorivara was quickly reaching his climax.

“Ngha...” he moaningly gasped, his paw still on the sylveon’s head. “Yes… Keep sucking… keep… aaah…” Jorivara felt a wave of pleasure blow over him, a feeling that took him by surprise as he orgasmed into Sindi’s mouth. Cumshot after cumshot, her maw became filled with his seed. “Now sw… swallow it all,” he ordered as he gently slipped his knotted cock out of her mouth.

The sylveon stared at him as he swallowed every bit of his cum. Her mouth emptied, with a bit of cum dripping down from it, she had a look on her unconscious face that was awaiting more orders.

Jorivara gazed into Sindi’s eyes, examining just how mindless they seemed. This wasn’t the first time he dominated someone’s mind, but this was the first time he did it for sexual reasons. The feeling of being in control of her in this way created a temptation that itched his mind, a temptation that beckoned him to try it on other Pokémon. “I feel so… indecent,” he remarked, looking away from Sindi.

“Oh relax, once you get used to it, it won’t be so bad anymore,” Eklal tried to reassure him. “Trust me. Besides, I can tell from your blushes that you liked it! I doubt you feel that bad.”

The espeon backed away a bit from Sindi. “I suppose I did enjoy that a bit.”

“And we can do it even more. This is freedom, Jori. This is what we’ve been waiting the longest time for. We couldn’t do this with Arvilios in charge. Now we have the freedom to do whatever we want to weak Pokémon like her…~”

“I don’t… know if I agree with that.”

“You will in time,” Eklal reassured again, smirking. “As for her, we’ll leave her here.”

“But she’s unclean, she’ll wake up and be suspicious of--”

“Not if you hypnotize her like I suggested. She won’t think it’s us, and she won’t even be going to human territory either. It’s perfect.”

Jorivara looked at Sindi, who blankly stared back at him. He didn’t say anything for a few minutes, thinking. Until he finally said, “Alright. I’ll do it.”

Eklal grinned.
","pools_count":1,"title":"From Chaos - Chapter 1","deleted":"f","public":"t","mimetype":"text/rtf","pagecount":"1","rating_id":"2","rating_name":"Adult","ratings":[{"content_tag_id":"4","name":"Sexual Themes","description":"Erotic imagery, sexual activity or arousal","rating_id":"2"}],"submission_type_id":"12","type_name":"Writing - Document","guest_block":"f","friends_only":"f","comments_count":"4","views":"152","sales_description":null,"forsale":"f","digitalsales":"f","printsales":"f","digital_price":""}
