Why a spider?
Spiders are considered to be builders of worlds and weavers of dreams because of their fascinating web constructions, this has inspired ancient mythologies to bestow the spider with these mystical titles. As a writer I can relate to this and it is fascinating that I can build worlds through my stories and words as well, hopefully inspiring others occasionally. Also, since I was a child I've had a great affinity for spiders, fascinated by them and going out of my way to prevent them from harm by others whom hate or are afraid of spiders. Even to this day I do not remove these useful pest controlling creatures from my home, they often climb the walls behind my computer or decide to check out my statically charged aluminum keyboard at night whilst I'm typing. I just tell them hello and leave them be, I consider them useful neighbours. :)
What is your personality?
Withdrawn and timid, slightly shy but able to cope when forced into social situations. By a thread, if you'll forgive me the pun! Cold and rather unforgiving when crossed badly, but this is the case with most people. Romantic and somewhat lonely, not very skilled in making new friends and keeping relations, just like a spider is shunned by most people. Sweet and caring for friends.
Physique.
Sunkra the spider has a rather hard exoskeleton like feral spiders have, no internal bones. In some more delicate places like for example the neck and groin the exoskeleton is softer and has a more leathery feel/texture to it. Like feral spiders, Sunkra has eight appendages, two humanoid arms and legs and four feral legs sprouting from his back about where humans would have shoulder blades. Sunkra is able to fold these four feral legs up and hide them in a large backpack themed like the feral Nephila Clavipes' abdomen (backside).
Sunkra has eight eyes, two prominent humanoid ones and six smaller ones through which he has an expanded line of sight. Two silver rings are pierced in the left corner of his bottom lip.
Like feral spiders, Sunkra is able to inject a poison into food through his mandibles/fangs which liquifies the food for consumption. However he posses normal humanoid teeth with which he can eat food regularly.
Sunkra has no ears or nose, and instead has two slits for a nose and little openings on the sides of his head for hearing. He doesn't smell or hear very well with his "nose" and "ears" but this is compensated by the sensitive hairs on his feral spider legs which are able to pick up sound, scents, vibrations and air currents.
Lastly his humanoid legs resemble the segmented feral spider legs vaguely and are shaped digitigrade with flat soles and claws.
Likes/dislikes.
Likes: Computer games, write stories, culture, good food, sweet alcohol, soft drugs, water/ocean, colder climates, night, mutual respect, camping, real Belgian fries and chocolate and beer, the Canadian anthem, freedom, ...
Dislikes: Tomatoes, bad/annoying people (snobs, presumption, arrogance, backstabbing, etc.), excessive heat, disrespect, bad pizza service, figures of authority, ...
Don't run!
Sunkra is a friendly spider and is saddened when people run from him, he wouldn't hurt a fly (again forgive me the pun!) and will gladly help cure you from your arachnophobia with a big eight legged hug!
