Slowly the gods shifted into bestial, childlike forms, their powers and memories slipping away. And in order to maintain control over the spell, Hera and her servants drank the potion, becoming cows like Hathor but retaining their adulthood.\n\nAnd so, Hera gathered the stolen powers of the gods and hid them inside her scepter. And with her authority as queen of the three realms, she declared a new era for mankind. The three goddesses became the Matrons, the new leaders of the world.
