Note that collars + ID cards are a universal thing, even worn by citizens and residents outside the asylum\n\n-----\nOrefact, the \"asylum state\", is an anocratic regime that uses mass institutionalization for manual social engineering. Think 'kafkaesque' except highly efficient, functional, and kinky as fuck.  \n\nOrefact's asylums are lined with latex. Latex cells. Latex vacbeds. Latex full-body deprivation bodysuits. Latex uniforms. Latex oubliettes to languish in a squeaky slippery nightmare. For patients that are intended to be 'treated' to become model citizens the standard period is about 3 months. Components on their uniforms are removable for activities and therapies such as scheduled meetings with a psych or to replace the boots with roller skates for physically engaging activities (not as popular as you might expect, heheh~)! The first month is usually spent inside of an oubliette to serve as a mental reset and break resilience/resolve against therapies. Some individuals will need additional time in the oubliette or to serve as a living battery with a massive copper plug shoved up their ass all the way to their belly for correction.\n\nSubjects are never citizens. Subjects are subjected to a lifetime of imprisonment. They can be identified by the colored band on their thighs or the fact that their boots and hood are permanently moulded onto their bodies.
