Before I give you your quest, Boy, what know you of the nature of the realms?
Many, both here in our Paradisum Draconis and in the pitiful realms without, think these Eternal Realms eternal. Yet a secret thread exists, that if the mortals should chance to pull it, will send us down through a Precipitous Autumn through a Fimbleventr Everlasting and finally to a depth of Unbeing so low that the Heat Death of the Universe would seem a resurrection festival in comparison.
Each mortal world has its collective unconscious, it’s body of Myth and Narrative and Archetype. And these things have Being, as you ought to have learned assuming the youth of today still receive a halfway decent education in the fundamentals of magic? Now, anything that has Being must Be somewhere and Be something, so these things dwell not only in the minds of those who believe them, they reflect out into the fabric of the universe.
Each world, then, has at least one corresponding Ideal Realm, shaped by the hopes and dreams of the physical world it emanates from. The Quantum Metaphysics of WHY are tedious to anyone but a professor, but they form at specific points relative to both the world and the star that that world orbits.

We do not interfere with Mortals. This is known. Many of them think us mythical, and that suits us perfectly well. But sometimes we must… watch. And watch carefully.
Lest they become threats.
Tis true, not much could threaten our eternal realm. But we are disturbed by reports that one of the mortal worlds--not the one linked to This realm, thank Bahamut, the one linked to that forest with the Mouse Ghosts and plains with the Green Fellows--is battling a plague of Technocratic Capitalism. Primitive, of course, but using a form of mental domination that risks warping and perhaps even snuffing out that world’s realm.
You are NOT to interfere. Not yet. Observe the world linked to our realm, carefully. Be sure no trace of this plague has infected it. When we know more, we will decide what further steps, if any, are to be taken.
