A camera spotted him immediately.  He knew he was going to be detained for trespassing. He knew he was going to face prison time or worse. He knew that when he died he was likely going straight to hell, if the imprinting of his childhood was right in any way. He didn't care, he had a goal and he was going to complete it.\n     In town, the rumor was that the facilty studied rare specimens. There were rumors of crafted gryphons, natural unicorns, pixies and merfolk. Quin didn't care about that. In fact he typically brushed off those kinds of rumors. There was nothing to do in a small town except for gossip. Hearsay mangled many truths and half-truths until every incident was a tall tale.\n     His ears perked up when he overheard Lawrence telling of a truck that entered the county on the old highway at night. The Semi had a cargo load that was a huge glass aquarium that held a giant squid. A kraken had been brought to Marnesville.  As the last known living relative of the town's founder, Quin Marnes felt he had a special obligation to end the farce.\n    He spent a day casually observing the facility and coming to the conclusion that he'd be caught. As long as he did what he set out to, he could live, or die, with that.\n   As arlarms blared, he ran through the corridors of the research facility. He tried to speed read every sign he could. There was nothing that indicated 'kraken'. He heard hurried footstep down the hall. He began trying doors. He was sure that if he could hide and gain his bearings, he could accomplish his personal mission.\n    A door marked \"Cancer Research\" was unlocked. He burst through it.\n   He was surprised to see that the room was a small ampitheater, with a liquid and squid-filled cube in the center, surrounded by and empty moat. Quin dashed down toward it, picking up a fir extinguisher along the way. He leapt across the moat and began battering the aquarium.\n    The squid inside looked irritated. Quin kept striking the container until it broke. The water gushed out. The squid fought to stay inside.\n    \"If you're not coming out, I'm going in!\"\n     Quin expanded the hole in the aquarium until he could get in with ease. He threw the fire extinguisher in, thinking that it'd distract the large squid.  The creature didn't know what was happening. The fire extinguisher struck its eye. It flailed a bit, but generally ignored the puma entering the tank.\n     Quin began stomping on its tentacles, then arms, \"Can't rape anyone with these anymore.\"\n     He started grinding his heel after each stomp. The squid fought bck was out of its element. Quin kicked it a few times, avoiding its beak. It was pained and relied on the strategy of  trying to corral the puma closer so it could do real damage with its beak. \n    The door to the  ampitheater was  opened and personnel swarmed in to apprehend the invader. \n    \"You suck,\" Quin yelled at the squid and did a sick-ass elbow drop on its mantle.\n     Shouts of the personnel didn't drown out the shriek of the sea creature.\n     Fourteen paws were upon Quin as he was brought down and bound.  He was kept in a small room, seated at a table with his paws zip-tied behind his back. No one in town really noticed that he was absent. He kept laughing to himself.  He defeated the Kraken.
