He had been ambushed in the night. He had been gagged, bound and bludgeoned. He had done nothing wrong but serve the former king faithfully. Now that Erlond the Bold had been overthrown, the king's servants were being targeted. \n Hralbak would have been a useful asset to the new regime. He had served kings before Erlond, he would have served kings after Erlond. His loyalty to the king was only a tool to serve the land. He had been a great wizard and a great advisor. So long as he had his eyes and his ears and his voice, he could undo this torment. It would take time, but it was possible.\n The rat, almost as if sensing the hope, quickly turned around and jammed his fingers into the eyes of the wizard. The wizard squirmed and flinched and flailed as best he could. He was growing hoarse from screaming but they were still discernable. The rat took the hood off and threw it over the rabbit's eyes, just in case they weren't completely put out.\n There was a lifeless touch on the wizard's face. It was stiff and dead. It was unyielding and so was not gentle in its caress. It moved down his chest. It felt over his abdoment. It touched his inner thighs and cupped his battered testicles. It pressed itself, with no care or emotion, on his penis. There was a revolting sting of familiarity.\n The rat was using the wizard's dismembered left hand.
