Not far from the town was an exploration guild, where many rescue and exploration teams lived and worked. One of these teams was team purity. They consisted of a Sylveon and an Audino, two who were renowned for their protective and healing abilities. They had gone on many missions together, and were known for their drive to get jobs done on time. \n\n\nIt was late at night at the guild, and most teams had retired for the night. Alester, the Sylveon of team purity, was making his way to his room after checking out some books from their library. He loved to stay up late, filing his mind with tales of ancient legends and history. He was the a-typical book worm, and wore a pair of glasses that sat on his nose and wide brimmed sun hat. He carried the books with his ribbons, humming to himself as he walked down the hall. \n\n\nAs he entered into his room, he was surprised to see his partner asleep at his desk. He had a pile of papers spread out on his desk and was leaning on his arms. His name was Alexander. He was a bit of a heavy set Audino who wore a blue jacket, which was quite the contrast to his pink color. He seemed to be really tired, snoozing away on top of his work was an odd sight to Alester, he hadn’t known his friend to be that exhausted before. He wasn’t sure what to do. He wanted to move him to his bed so he could sleep more properly, but the two hadn’t ever been known to touch each other.\n\n\nHe decided to carefully move Alex to his bed, nothing more and nothing less. The Sylveon slowly picked him up with his Ribbons, struggling a bit but managing to get him across the room and into his bed. He looked really snug wrapped in the ribbons. After setting him down, Alester slowly removed the ribbons and started to move away from his bed, but was stopped by a tugging feeling on one of them. \n\n\n“No… Don’t go yet.” Alex muttered and tugged on the ribbon a bit. He only had one eye open, and his face was flushed bright red. He seemed very sheepish. \n\n\n“I don’t have too but, do you just want me to stand here or?” Alester asked, beginning to stutter. He could feel his heart pounding out of his chest, anticipation was killing him. In truth, the Sylveon had very passionate feelings for his partner, but had never been able to tell him. He was never sure if Alex felt the same, and wasn’t even sure if the Audino swung that way. \n\n\n“Just… lay with me. I don’t wanna sleep alone.” Alex muttered, moving over a bit and patting the bed next to him. \n\n\nAlester slowly climbed into the bed and laid next to him, he looked over at him briefly before starring up at the ceiling. This didn’t seem so bad, he’s just helping his friend fall asleep, nothing more or less- is what Alester was thinking before Alex wrapped his arms around him and snuggled him. He became very flustered, and couldn’t bring himself to hug back just yet. \n\n\n“OHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGOD-” repeated over and over in the Sylveon’s mind. He had not expected to come home to this today. Not that he wasn’t enjoying it, but he had never expected it to come true. \n\n\n“You’re so soft.” Alex said cutely and nuzzled his cheek against the other’s. \n\n\n“Thanks, you are too.” Alester stuttered. He slowly tried to wrap his forelegs around the Audino, and doing this made him realise his ribbons were already tight around him. \n\n\n“Ah sorry, I’m not hurting you am I?” He asked nervously, trying to loosen them. \n\n\n“No don’t worry, it feels nice.” Alex said happily, smiling at him gently. \n\n\n“Oh okay. Sorry.” Alester said and smiled back nervously, he felt like a goof for getting flustered over nothing. \n\n\n“So Alester, can I ask you something?” Alex asked with a more serious expression, starring him in the eyes. \n\n\n“Sure? You can ask me anything Alex.” He said with a smile, trying to sound like a supportive friend. \n\n\n“Do you like me?” He asked, seeming very nervous about the others response. \n\n\n“Of course I like you! Why wouldn’t I?” Alester responded, trying to sound sincere. \n\n\n“No I mean, do you like me, as more than just friends? Because, I like you that way.” The Audiona said nervously, his face was now really flustered. \n\n\nAlester was sort of anticipating that question, but wasn’t sure how to respond. He figured it was now or never. \n\n\n“I do. I have for a while. I just never knew how to tell you…” He said with a little smile. “And snuggling you like this, it’s kind of like a dream come true.” \n\n\n“Heh, sorry if I’m being a little clingy, but I really wanted to snuggle with you too. And you picking me up with your ribbons was fun, .” He closed his eyes and nuzzled against Alex, he loved how soft he felt. \n\n\n“Really? That makes me so happy! I've wanted to tell you for a long time, it's been eating me up inside.” Alex said happily, his voice squeaked a bit with excitement. \n\n\nAlester moved his forelegs down and wrapped them around the Audion's belly. It was really soft and squishy, like big warm pillow. He felt so happy holding on to him, and he finally found out that he did love him back.
