  "writing": "If there is one word which characterises life in ancient Rome it has to be excess: to coin a tautological phrase: excessively excessive excess. Behind closed doors, many members of the higher ranks of the patrician Roman society indulged in many activities, which we would find abhorrent today. No stigma at all was attached to high-born Roman men, whether married or not, having sex with other males. In fact, the Latin language, which all Romans spoke, had no exact word for homosexuality. It was generally accepted, and, indeed was encouraged, as a sign of their superior masculinity, that freeborn, male, Roman citizens should indulge in anal sex with other males. Conventionally, however, it was accepted and assumed that they would take their partners from the plebeian ranks of society or consort with their own slaves and would only play the penetrative role, never allowing anyone from the plebeian ranks to penetrate them.\n\nHowever, then as now, sexual attraction being what it is, obeyed no conventions, either legal or social and many high-born Roman men, married or not, had close male partners with whom they mutually shared all aspects of what we today would call, gay sex. It was not uncommon for an aristocrat to break what was considered be socially acceptable and have a male partner of a lower social class, with whom he enjoyed a full and satisfying sexual relationship as equals. Flavius, the main character of this story was aged just 20 at the time this story is set, in the first century AD. He was precisely one of those rich young aristocrats, whose life revolved around sex in all its forms. But, as we shall see, he had a problem; he had a conscience, a rare attribute among the gilded youth to which he belonged. He actually cared about the slaves of his father’s household, many of whom he regularly fucked.\n\nOur story beings in 37 AD, the year Caligula became the third Roman emperor of Rome, when the hero of this story, Flavius Aurelius Valerius, aged then just 15, was caught by his father, Cornelius, the richest man in Rome at the time, with his cock deeply embedded inside his personal body slave, Jason, by far the handsomest and most attractive of the many Greek slaves whom the household possessed. Cornelius decided that matters with his only son had gone quite far enough. In forcing is only son to marry the only daughter of the Julius family, Cornelius killed two birds with one stone; not only had he saved his son from making what he saw as a dire mistake, but the marriage would unite two of the wealthiest families in Rome and in due course his only son, would become as rich as the mythical Greek, King Midas.\n\nThe match of Flavius, aged 16 and Claudia aged but 15 and a virgin at the time of her marriage, turned out to be a great success. Judged by the rate at which the young couple produced offspring, both Flavius and Claudia were obviously as keen on sex as a regular pastime in addition to its basic purpose: procreation. Until his wedding night with Claudia, Flavius had only ever had sex with Jason, his body-slave and, it has to be admitted, friend. But he found that having sex with a woman was not all that bad. Claudia, once she had lost her virginity to Flavius, had a robust appetite for sex and welcomed the sexually extremely well-endowed Flavius inside her with an appetite and frequency, which were surprising, given her demure outward appearance. Flavius could do no other than obey his father&rsquo;s wishes when, aged just 16, he was forced to marry the 15 year old Claudia Julius, the only child of the wealthy Quintus Publius Julius. In forcing is only son to marry the only daughter of the Julius family, Cornelius killed two birds with one stone; not only had he saved his son from making what he saw as a dire mistake, but the marriage would unite two of the wealthiest families in Rome and in due course his only son, would become as rich as the mythical Greek, King Midas.<br /><br />The match of Flavius, aged 16 and Claudia aged but 15 and a virgin at the time of her marriage, turned out to be a great success. Judged by the rate at which the young couple produced offspring, both Flavius and Claudia were obviously as keen on sex as a regular pastime in addition to its basic purpose: procreation.
