She said she'd be back soon, give them a call on her cell if she found lights of any kind. That's where Spice had gone. Sugar, was in the car, trying to get a fix on their position. She was certain that the four of them were near the castle she'd recently purchased- they couldn't be that far, perhaps in walking distance. She'd know for certain if she could find enough light to make out the map she was holding. Sparkle had climbed out of the vehicle and atop it, staring quietly at the full round moon that was peeking over the dead limbs of the trees over head. And Shine was sitting next to her- much to Sparkle's notable dismay.\n\"Why are you so grumpy all the time?\" The bubbly wolf quipped quietly, staring at the full moon that bloomed in the sky. Sparkle gave a dark sigh and closed her eyes.\n\"There's a hole in the world, like a great black pit, and it's filled with people who are filled with shit, and the vermin of the world inhabit it...\" She mumbled quietly, reaching both her arms up to rub at her temples. Looks real good on the front of a money magazine, where a wealthy business wolf adopts a poor little girl from a broken home. I moved in, got settled, but never got what I wanted, Sparky. Not even once. I wanted a family...mom and dad...I got, servants and money. Toys, and games, instead of love and hugs. So, fine, like fuck it...I thought you and Spice were dead, and Sugar had gotten adopted by that doctor...so I decided I wouldn't cry...cause if I started I'd never stop. And then I stopped thinking, cause thinking only lead to thoughts of you guys, and then I'd start crying and....ha, the next thing you know, I'm...I'm knee deep in jewels and glittery things, cause that's what everyone expects when your on the run way stage, Sparky. When your in like, a beauty pageant it's your body that counts, like, not your brain. That's what they wanna see, they like, don't wanna hear what you think...or how it hurts....a, and I just gave in...you know? It...it was so easy j, just to...just to give in, s, so I did. They don't ask you questions, Sparky, w, when your brainless ditz. They don't ask, cause your pretty and that's what counts. N, no one wants to hear about how mom poisoned you, or having your stomach pumped and lying in the hospital alone when you were six, or how your dad raped your sister, or, or how, or how you never got enough attention when you were lil, cause your sister had her twin, and your older sister had her studies and you were always all along with a broke dolly with no dress and no hair, you couldn't...it just you...haven't....nowareinmy....\"Shine mumbled, her voice giving away to tears, and suddenly she couldn't stop herself from crying. Sparkle couldn't stop herself either, her arm slowly, tentatively, reaching out, around Shine's body, and she held her baby sister tightly.
