The young athlete was ordered to appear before a judge for allegedly violating the terms of his parole, which was imposed upon him just over a year ago following his robbery of a Soleanna jewelry store. The robbery, to which Jet and his cohorts Storm and Wave plead no contest, resulted in the loss of over thirty-seven thoudand rings' worth of diamonds, rubies, and other gemstones when the fleeing trio dumped them into the ocean while being pursued by officers. \n\nThe Babylon Rogues have been accused of a laundry list of crimes, ranging from cheating in races to involvement with the notorious Dr. Eggman. The Soleanna robbery was one of the first charges on which they've been convicted, as proof of most other incidents is hard to come by. Local police have confirmed, however, that Jet will be charged with indecent exposure for his latest stunt, of which there is ample proof - including hundreds of online photos and videos of the nude bird, posted by the giant crowd of fans who had been waiting all morning to see Jet's arrival at the courthouse.\n\nTo some, Jet's continued popularity is a sign of moral decay among our nation's youth. Baxter the Hedgehog, head of the youth outreach program Emerald Horizons, says he's setting a bad example for the youth generation. \n\n“To have Jet the Hawk - a convicted criminal - be an idol to these young people is absolutely outrageous,” Baxter said in a statement posted to the Emerald Horizons website. “He showed up in the nude to a legal proceeding, making an absolute, willful mockery of the justice system and of our civilized society, and he had throngs of teenagers and young adults cheering on his antics.” Baxter says he and his program try to set young minds straight, but have trouble thanks to reckless celebrities like Jet. “They see these famous people and they aspire to be like them. And in this case, that's a dangerous aspiration. Imagine a whole generation of people who act like Jet - it would be the downfall of society. We need to teach our children to look up to respectable role models, like Sonic.”\n\nBaxter and several media watchdog groups have called on the Extreme Gear Competitive Racing Association to bar Jet and the Babylon Rogues from competing in EGCRA events. However, the organization has yet to issue an official response. Many people, including several media watchdogs themselves, see any action by the EGCRA as unlikely. \n\n“The fact of the matter is, as much of a bad influence as he can be, Jet is essentially the face of Extreme Gear racing,” admitted the founder of the Responsible Entertainment Group. “He's the champion in every category, he's the most prominent competitor at any event, he's an outspoken proponent of the sport and of the EGCRA. Whenever sponsors drop him for his antics, new ones sign on just as fast. Televised races that he competes in draw ratings three times higher than ones without him. If the EGCRA gets rid of him, they lose most of their audience and most of their revenue.”\n\nWe interviewed several of Jet's fans at the courthouse, and found out that some of them aren't even interested in racing. “I don't really care about sports or anything like that,” said one young cat who wished to remain anonymous. “But I always watch whenever Jet has a race. He's just really cool, and super-hot.” Even Extreme Gear enthusiasts seemed to agree. “Look,” said an anonymous young man, “Jet is my inspiration. He's the whole reason I'm into racing. The sport is really cool, but Jet's cooler than just the sport, you know?” \n\nAsked for his opinion on fellow speedster Sonic, the teen replied, “Sonic saves the world and stuff, so obviously that's great. I'm grateful for him, but like, I don't really think he's cool. He doesn't seem like the kind of guy I'd want to hang with. He's too cheery all the time.” \n\nThe young woman was less diplomatic. “Sonic sucks!” she said, adding “He thinks he's so great just 'cuz he's a national hero or whatever. He's an ugly little wimp. Jet could kick his a** anytime!”\n\nSonic and Jet have a longstanding rivalry dating back to the World Grand Prix, run by none other than Dr. Eggman. Sonic, a novice at Extreme Gear racing at the time, managed to pose a significant threat to Jet's dominance. Though Jet ultimately won the tournament, Sonic's fans accuse him and the Rogues of cheating. \n\nAs a result of Jet's actions this morning, his court date has been rescheduled to next week. While being escorted away from the courthouse by visibly embarrassed officers, an on-scene reporter asked Jet if the point of the stunt was to delay the hearing. “No way,” Jet replied. “I was all ready for it and everything. It's not my fault the judge is intimidated by my big hawk c***!”","description_bbcode_parsed":"<span style='word-wrap: break-word;'>Controversial Extreme Gear champion Jet of the Babylon Rogues made a stir again this morning, showing up to court wearing nothing but his racing goggles and making obscene gestures at courthouse guards and photographers.
