"writing": "The Darkness Of Today: Chapter 1\n\nShadow's POV\n\nWith the blaring sun on my back did I ride on a motorcycle through what could only be described as a desert. From all sides, wherever I looked, there was nothing but a dusty plane stretching out into the horizon for as far as the eye could see and there was barely any life to behold.\nThere was no one else but me as I tried to speed through this empty plane, hoping to reach the nearest gas station or any other pitstop that would allow me to restock my supplies and give me a break from the heat of the sun.\nI wore sunglasses to help against the glare and attempted to dress myself as cool as possible, which in my case was a black jacket, a top, and black jeans with equally dark walking shoes. It was all I could do to protect myself from sunburn. But still the sun was much too strong and I felt sweat soaking my fur in places I don't even want to mention. Speeding through like this I even had quite a rush of the wind running through my fur and quills and still the heat loomed over me, threatening to consume me.\nAs I kept my eyes on the barely visible road, I found myself wondering just why I had come out here all this way in the first place. I have just been wandering around aimlessly with no real goal in mind, so why did I wander to currently one of the warmest places on Mobius?\nI could've traveled up North to a forest and found myself a cabin to settle into for the time being, found a city where I was sure not to be alone, or found some other settlement where survivors shared supplies and protection.\nBut than again, I don't do company anymore, do I?\nStill cruising through the blazing desert sun, my eyes squinted when I finally noticed a lonely gas station up ahead.\nIf I'm lucky, I just might find some gas for my bike, some food to enjoy, or drinks to quench my thirst with. Maybe if people who weren't imbeciles like me didn't come out this far, I just might've found an advantage after all.\nUpon reaching it, I came to a slow stop and got off. The first things I did was stretch my slender body out and rub my backside, glad to finally be off the thing for once as I had been riding for a long time now. I dare say it's been hours already since my last stop. So it was truly such a relief.\nChecking the pumps for gas and noticing that there really was still quite a bit to be used, I wasted no time in refilling the tank of my bike and the jerry can I always carried with me. Small as it was, it did help me on my way.\nWith that over with, I scanned my surroundings to make sure that I was competely alone and still there was no one else in sight.\nWith a slight limp in my right leg did I enter the shop and took a good look around me, removing my sunglasses because this was already a dark place concealed in shadows.\nA strong smell overwhelmed my senses and I quickly used my jacket to cover my sensitive nose. It smelled of death in here and that can only be alarming.\nIt seemed to be coming from this one closed door to my right.\nMentally preparing myself for whatever I may find in there and hardening my heart, I cautiously grabbed hold of the door knob and twisted it, holding my free hand on my gun for a sense of security. Opening the door, the stench nearly bulldozed me with its overwhelming strength and my watering eyes caught sight of something truly horrific.\nIt was a family of three, dead, that were decaying in this room.\nI felt myself becoming nauseated at the sight and quickly threw the door back close and hurrying outside for a breath of fresh air. I sought support with a wall and hunched forward, retching.\nI thought I had prepared myself, but still I had not expected that strong of a smell and certainly not to see a dead couple with their young child.\nThey weren't that old either. So what was it that killed them?\nThe disease caused by the near mass extinction? Famin caused by a lack of food production? It couldn't have been the natural disaster that took place six years ago, could it? It's been too long for that.\nAlthough, it was the cause for everyone's problems today.\nSix years ago the day had finally come the years of exploitation of our planet Mobius had lead up to. Massive storms plagued many countries worldwide, hurricanes tore cities apart, tornadoes wreaked havoc in their paths, tsunamis flooded everything. Nature was deliberately partaking in pest control.\nPeople died left and right. They had been the greatest of their kind ever recorded in history and they came so fast and with no warning or remorse.\nI'm the Ultimate Lifeform and even I thought I might die amongst the chaos.\nI was at work the day Station Square was hit with one massive earthquake before we were flooded because, yes, even the tectonic plates themselves tried to axe us all off.\nI was just trying to finish off some paperwork along with Rouge before we could finally go home after another long day at the base when everything suddenly started shaking and trembling. They were hefty tremors I had never before experienced and I can't deny a feeling of fear had overhwelmed me as this was my first time being caught in the middle of an earthquake during my few years here on Mobius.\nMy inexperience had left me frozen and afraid.\nRouge had been trying to keep me calm and collected and her words of reassurance that this is a very common natural disaster would've worked had the floor not suddenly caved in right beneath our feet, the very foundations of G.U.N HQ no match for this force of nature.\nNo one stood a chance.\nWe had both been trapped underneath the rubble for days. It was the first time I truly experienced helplessness as I could call out for Rouge or for help and had no one to answer to me.\nMy multiple severe injuries is what stopped me from Chaos Controlling to safety or from finding my missing partner.\nMy ribcage had been shattered, which made it incredibly difficult to breath. Both of my legs had been broken, one bone in the one I now can only limp on was later found to be sticking out even. Plus an array of other less grave injuries along with an injured spine, but it could never compare to the loss Rouge suffered.\nThat collapse had cost her those two strong pair of wings.\nWe had been found on pretty much the same day as firefighters excavated us both, Rouge just in time to save her life. That was the advantage to having an office on one of the upper floors. You were found quicker than the poor souls trapped beneath even more layers of rubble.\nWe shared a room in a hospital still standing strong and I had been witness to a Rouge I had never seen before.\nAngry, depressed, silent, with little life in her at all.\nWithout her wings, she believed herself to be nothing.\nI would've consoled her, I truly wanted to, except my shattered ribs and injured spine didn't allow me to do anything but lie there and let nurses and doctors tend to me, my lungs and heart so vulnerable even to the shards of bone that once made up the cage that protected them.\nI could only watch as she cried herself to sleep every night, heartbreaking sounds so unfamiliar to me. Even for a mortal she had always seemed so untouchable.\nMy serious condition didn't allow me to go sit next to her and provide a shoulder to cry on. Words could barely comfort her.\nIt had taken me such a long time to even come close to recovering from my wounds. Weeks upon weeks were wasted stuck in that bed and unable to move because of my shattered ribs and both of my broken legs. I endured pain, we both did. One more than the other.\nI was just close to be able to get out of bed again and Rouge regaining a little more of her will to live when the diseases reigned true.\nThere were many deaths and with priority given more to the medical care of the living instead of cleaning up the deceased, an epidemic had come to take away the weakest of the injured.\nI'm sure every day a couple more died and eventually even the two of us had been stricken with it too. There was no escape, everyone got their turn, people were picked off one by one at random. It didn't matter if you were young or old.\nI have never been ill before, so to suddenly be defeated by a high fever, to live with a constantly weak and trembling body, and a mind ridden with hallucinations was terrifying. Never before have I experienced something like this.\nSuddenly, once I finally regained a little bit of freedom, I was glued to the bed all over again. Doctors tending to me even feared I wouldn't make it through the night at first.\nAnd it only got worse.\nWhile I was gradually getting better, my superior body finally able to fight this sickness, my best friend and partner, the bat who I owe everything to, one day wouldn't wake up anymore.\nRouge had passed away peacefully in her sleep, her body unable to fight the sickness anymore.\nTo wake up one day and call out to her, only to look to my side and see her bed suddenly empty and neat for the next poor patient, was a devastating blow to the gut I would never forget.\nThe doctors and nurses working nearly non-stop in this hospital had believed they'd be lessening the impact were they to keep me from seeing her so lifeless and still. They knew we were close and my teenaged look must've made them want to spare me the sight, but it hadn't made it any less agonising.\nI remember when I found out that it had become impossible for me to breath out of nowhere. A nearby nurse had to call in help when she couldn't get me to calm down.\nAnd as I was still trying to wrap my head around her passing, my clarity of mind allowed a fellow surviving colleague to tell me that Omega had been receiving a check-up at the time of the earthquake so long ago. His armor had been placed to the side to make way for his vulnerable insides and wires and he had been crushed by the heavy debris. They were not able to recover his AI.\nI didn't just lose Rouge, but Omega too and I hadn't even known it.\nIn a matter of just weeks, I was suddenly all alone again.\nHow do you avenge someone if they were killed by natural disasters? The anger that kept me going after Maria's and Gerald's death long enough to give me the time to meet Rouge, it was of no use to me now.\nI was all alone. Once again I had lost the people closest to me and that wasn't a loss I could process.\nThat was why I prefered to go solo, why I wasn't one to keep company now. My heart just had been broken one too many times.\nAs for my right leg, the illness I survived had made an infection fester inside that limb, where an open fracture had once been.\nWhile I had it in my left leg too, it had a much easier time recovering than my right. That was the reason why I had this limp, because that leg couldn't heal quite like it should anymore. It was also why there was such an ugly scar on my shin running down to my ankle.\nI composed myself after my horrible find and grabbed a handkerchief from my pants to tie around my face, covering up my nose and mouth in the hopes of keeping out most of that wretched stench. It made my eyes water terribly too.\nEntering back inside again, bag in tow, I looked around the store with efficient hurry. I hoped to find something worthwhile, load up, and leave quickly.\nExcept I was interrupted by a sound coming from somewhere behind me and I quickly spun on my heels and pulled my gun to take the source by surprise.\nNow looking towards the front of the store, I saw no one or nothing in sight. And my bike was still standing exactly where I had left it.\nWas my loneliness playing tricks on me? Or was it just some lonely desert animal knocking stuff down?\nI believed my keen eyes and so I trusted there to be no immediate dangers as I continued my search.\nI found some energy bars, some bottles of water, and some cheap medicine like aspirin and whatnot. I still could not get sick so easily, but I could use these for trading instead. Medicine was a very rare luxury these days.\nPills like these couldn't have stopped that epidemic and even if there was an easy cure, the goverment didn't have the time to give it to us before it fell.\nBecause they hid the warnings of scientists in favour of tourism, people had begun to distrust them, but it wasn't until the disease broke out and rumors started spreading that the goverment was withholding vaccines that everything started to crumble.\nRiots broke out, streets were no longer safe, people driven by fear turned into people driven by rage and loss. I think that night was also the last time I had seen Sonic as the hedgehog, who had not been present in Station Square at the time of earthquakes, had been there to care for his injured friends.\nI remember it was him who had taken me in when I could be discharged from the hospital and was still bound to a wheelchair. He, completely unharmed, tried to lift my spirits after the loss of my two closest friends while also juggling with the care of a sick Tails and Amy.\nKnuckles, Vanilla or Cream, the Chaotix. I have honestly no idea what happened to any of them.\nI actually don't know what happened to Sonic either, one day he was there and the next he was gone when the riots broke out, but I can only hope that he and the others are safe and enjoying the advantages a home and their own community can bring.\nWhen the goverment had been crushed, people took to forming their own villages, so to speak. They existed out of family and friends. And with time lone wolves might join them aswell.\nBut I had no need for others right now.\nThough it had been six years already, I still felt like I was mourning.\nWith my bag now full and feeling satisfied, I left that small building and felt relief as I had finally escaped that smell of death. It was still cooler in there than under the direct exposure of that giant ball of radiation, however.\nI loaded the bag onto my motorcycle again and got back on the road, dying to get out of this death trap and preferably before nightfall.\n\nThe sun was setting and the sky grew darker. The warm air around me was cooling down and helped me get the relief from this heat that I so desperatly needed.\nI was no longer on that endless plane of dust, sand, and barely living skeletons of bushes. Instead I found myself in a canyon of sorts. High walls surrounded me like they came right out of a painting and I can't help but appreciate my current environment.\nI wish I had taken more time to myself back in the day. I would've traveled, let Rouge introduce me to all sorts of new places, let myself associate with people. Maybe then I would've been able to share things like this with her.\nBut the sun was sinking lower and I knew that I didn't have much longer to find myself a safe spot to sleep.\nI figured that it'd be cooler here than back on the empty field of nothing, so I decided to stop my bike not long after and make camp for the night. I rolled out my sleeping bag near a wall and pulled one of those dry bushes out to have some dry wood to build a fire with.\nI may not have food to roast, but with it I could keep animals and small critters away from me. I wasn't particularly hungry today anyway, so I decided to just go to bed for the night, unceremoniously dropping down on my sleeping bag and releasing a deep sigh as my eyes closed. No hunger meant less food wasted, of course.\nI could fall asleep right here and now, just lying here on my front when my preferred position was actually on my side, curled up like hedgehogs liked to do.\nI was supposed to be building a fire through the use of a lighter to keep myself safe from vermin and the chilly air of another desert night. I even had the bush lying on the ground right next to me. But instead I lied like this and let my body grow heavy, my breathing slow down, and my heartbeat grow steady.\nI was just about to fall asleep.\nUntil I was suddenly under attack.\nBeing alone for so long had allowed me to lower my guard. It's been weeks since I've last seen someone because I decided to be a moron and travel straight through a desert. I had never expected someone else to be here.\nSo to feel two hands grab my jacket out of nowhere, pull me up on my feet, and pin me with my front against the canyon wall was utterly shocking. This position didn't really allow me to fight back and with his tight grip holding my arms behind my back, he nearly broke the limbs.\n\"Search the guy's stuff, he might have something useful.\" My attacker told his apparent accomplices and... Wait, I recognised that voice.\n\"Scourge?\" I called the name of the man I thought him to be and the hold softened just slightly for a moment and the voice stopped.\nA hand grabbed my quills and pulled my head back before the light of a flashlight was shone in my face, preventing me from seeing who my attackers were.\n\"Shadow?!\" Whoever Scourge's buddies were, neither one of them had recognised me because of the darkness of the night.\nIn the moonlight they should've been able to see me, but instead I had decided to take a nap in the canyons, where it was naturally darker, where my fur and clothes would help me blend in.\n\"You know, I had often hoped to see people I used to know one more time, but I could've lived without seeing your ugly mug again.\" I was not happy to reunite with him and I have no doubt that the feeling's mutual.\nA growl left Scourge and suddenly he pulled back to smash my face into the canyon wall harder than I could've expected, disorientating me and breaking my nose.\nDidn't know he could be so sensitive.\nNo matter, it hurt, but I had that same uneven wall to work with, I could use that to my advantage.\nStruggling against his hold, I placed my feet on the surface to push myself off and get Scourge to lose his footing and fall to the ground, allowing me to make a lunge for the lighter I had in my pocket while he got back up on his feet.\nLighting it, I came to face quite a shock.\nScourge's companions, who had been staying quiet because otherwise I'd recognise them, were none other Mephiles and Eclipse themselves and... Was the latter wearing clothes?\n\"Miss me, brother?\" The alien asked, experiencing some mixed feelings about this reunion himself.\n\"As you're the Ultimate Lifeform, I hadn't expected you to die, but I hadn't expected to see you again either. Seems like we've stumbled upon a blessing.\" Mephiles spoke up too, still very much a creep.\n\"The feeling is mutual, which is why I'll be cutting this reunion short. Leave me be and I won't have to do anything drastic.\" I responded, reached for my gun strapped in its holster to my thigh.\nScourge I could handle, Eclipse I should be able to take care off to, Mephiles... Well, he suddenly smirked in quite a malicious way, like he was watching a snail shrivel up and die from salt.\n\"There are three of us, Shadow, two of which you couldn't defeat on your own. Where's the logic in being so confident?\" He asked.\nI gritted my teeth as I knew him to be right.\nI had Rouge and Omega with me on both times. I was alone once with Eclipse and he defeated me in an instant by forcing me under his control and all he needed to do was to touch me.\nI needed to think this through. Maybe I could meet them halfway as I did have more than enough supplies to sustain more than just myself.\nWe were all survivors trying to come by, surely they saw this as an opportunity to start things anew too?\n\"Hmm...\" Eclipse pulled a thoughtful expression as he hummed, apparently tapping into our mind-link for the first time in years and hearing what I had been thinking.\nSo I removed my hand from my gun and held it up instead.\n\"Listen, we don't need to fight about this. Let's talk and meet eachother halfway. I have more than enough supplies, I'm willing to give half away and in return I expect to be left alone.\" I suggested, hoping that it would make sense to them.\nSurely they had some common sense, right?\nBut Mephiles' face of malice stayed.\n\"I reject your offer.\" He told me and I was unable to notice the metal pipe before it was swung at me and made contact with my right temple. I fell to the ground, the lighter falling from my grip.\nScourge had gotten up and used his speed to have an advantage over me with his apparent weapon of choice.\nSpeed was not something I had anymore. So he had the upper hand quite quickly.\nI wasted no time in pulling my gun from its holster, but I didn't have the time to pull the trigger when that pipe made contact with my face again.\nI bit a cry back at the pain erupting from the hit and it was enough of a surprise to make me unable to defend myself as it came down once more.\n\"Shadow! Is this really necessary, Scourge?\" Eclipse asked caring more about me than I did about him apparently, though he didn't actually make a move to help me.\nIt hadn't stopped Scourge, but he did go from hitting me in the face with a pipe to straddling my chest and using it to squeeze my throat closed.\nAll I could see was him and the blood that now speckled my vision.\nThey had no intentions of meeting me halfway. They'd rather see me dead and just take it all for themselves instead.\nWell, they're criminals and one of them is even a demon. So how could I have possibly expected them to be reasonable?\nI desperately tried to breath as I wanted to pull my gun free, but one of his knees was pinning that a hand of mine down. My other one grasped the metal to try and pull it away, though unsuccessfully. Opening my mouth didn't do much either as no sound would leave. Yelling and bargaining would not help me here and I did not have the leverage necessary to push the metal pipe or the hedgehog on top away.\nThere was nothing I could do to fight back and the longer he held my airways closed, the quicker my consciousness was blacking out due to the lack of oxygen granted access into my lungs. And that bit of struggling I did was quickly ceasing aswell.\nAs my vision faded away, Mephiles' evil look of victory and Eclipse's slight concern didn't.\n\nI don't know where I woke up, but it was in an uncomfortable, rusty bed in a room with a sink, a toilet in full view, and bars to make up one side of the wall with the door.\nA prison cell.\nI sat up in shock, only to cry out and place a hand on the right side of my face. Immense pain sprung forth and made me lie back down again. I curled up and felt tears gather at the intense sensation.\nQuickly remembering just how Scourge had been brutalising me with that pipe, I can only wonder just how bad it looks. I realised that I can't see a thing from my right eye and I don't know why.\nWas it the swelling that obstructed my vision? Had my orbital socket been smashed?\nI wasn't going to get an answer by just lying here. So I decided to sit back up, slowly and carefully this time around. I let myself compose a little and cautiously stood up to approach the jail door.\nLooking out into the hallway, I noticed that there were several cells up and down this entire, otherwise empty, corridor.\nOf course, leave it up to Scourge and Mephiles to choose the worst place possible to hideout at. A damn prison. Though I do wonder just why Eclipse settled for this.\nAnd everything looked so old and rusted too, like this place had been abandoned even before the natural calamities struck.\nThere was no sign of either one of my three captors and so I figured that I should pay attention to something a little more urgent right now.\nSo I walked towards the mirror that hung above the sink to inspect my wounded right eye.\nSurprisingly enough, it was actually bandaged and neatly too.\nI hoped that was the reason why I could no longer see.\nPulling it away carefully and cringing because of it, a gasp left me as I beheld the injury staining my previously perfectly symmetrical face.\nNo, it couldn't be called an injury anymore, it was just a downright mess. It didn't really even resemble an eye anymore!\nThat means I must've lost it.\nDamn, and my healing isn't as good as it used to be. I can't regenerate what I've lost anymore. Otherwise I would've been able to use my right leg properly.\nNevertheless, I can always hope, can't I?\nMaybe it can still kick in.\n\"You're finally up.\" No longer alone, I can't help but feel annoyed and turned my head to look at one of my hosts.\nIt was Eclipse.\n\"I sensed your pain and figured you were awake, so I decided to come and take a look.\" He stated, leaning against the bars.\nI looked back at my reflection to concentrate on my injuries again. Besides the giant mess of my right eye, there were bruises and minor cuts. I just wish I had something other than my own clothing to treat them with, though.\nEclipse didn't like my silence, but for once he actually understood why I was being like this.\n\"If it helps, I would've gone for your offer. You're right, this is a time when we should be starting fresh.\" He told me and I faced him again.\nI approached the bars and wrapped my hands around two of them.\n\"If you really feel that way, tell me what they're planning on doing to me.\" I responded, frowning deeply up to him. It was no use to beg to be let go, they just weren't the kind of people to do so. Not without ulterior motives at least.\nNeither Mephiles nor Scourge are the kind of people to just imprison whoever they like either. So what plans they held for me was something I did want to know. They were both despicable and I had seen what atrocities they were both capable off. I would rather not be at the receiving end of those.\n\"I don't know.\" Eclipse responded, unsure.\nSuddenly he handed something over to me and it looked like a medkit.\n\"Your eye couldn't be saved and that area will look ugly even when it's healed, but you should still take care of yourself before that gets infected.\" Why was he doing this? Doesn't he still hate my guts?\n\"Like I said, I agreed with you. I can never forgive you for what you did, so you don't need to search any deeper than that.\" The alien told me and pushed himself away from the bars before he left me here on my own again.\n\"Wait, Eclipse! Where am I?!\" I called after him, but as I heard the door close, I knew that I wouldn't be receiving an answer for now.\nAlone again, I tried to take care of my wounds.\n\nI took care of my eye as best as I could with the materials that I had at hand. I wasn't a medical professional, but I managed to do a pretty snazzy job myself. I was at least sure it wouldn't get infected. Or I hoped it wouldn't at least.\nBut after that was over, I still ended up having several hours to kill. The one or two books that I owned were in my other bag reserved for more permanent stuff. I had no one to talk to, which I actually didn't mind considering the only company I'd be receiving here. I just had nothing else to do, but sit in bed and hope for time to pass by quickly.\nSo I don't know for how long I had been sitting here, just that it wasn't as light as when I woke up anymore.\nAt least footsteps walking down the corridor, after the sound of a door opening and closing, told me that my waiting had finally come to an end.\nLooking towards the hallway, I noticed my visitor was Mephiles and he was holding a platter with a meal and a drink.\n\"Eat it.\" He ordered me, shoving the meal through a slot at the bottom of the door.\nI wasn't so keen on eating anything that he brought. So I didn't get up from the bunk to take it and that didn't sit well with the demon.\n\"It's not poisoned, if that's what you're wondering. We're trying to keep you alive.\" Mephiles told me, his expression unreadable.\n\"And why would you?\" I asked, pulling a leg up on bed with me.\n\"At first we were going to keep you for the meat. It expires too quickly in this heat and you can't find it anywhere here. Our original plan was to keep you in the freezer of this place and take small bits each day just to prolong your suffering until you'd finally die. Or end up as a limbless torso for whatever else we might do with you next.\" Malicious intent was visible in his eyes and audible in his voice, sending cold and uncomfortable chills down my spine.\nAs he told me about such a gruesome plan for me, I can't help but feel a sense of fear and disgust.\nI can't regenerate anymore. So what I would lose, was really lost to me forever now. It was a very horrific way to imagine myself dying in.\n\"What changed your mind?\" I asked, though I wasn't exactly sure if I even wanted to know.\n\"Eclipse did. He told us a deep secret about you and it may have changed our plans.\" Mephiles answered and I don't feel in the slightest bit comforted.\nMy alien 'brother' told them something about me? What could that be? And why did it give them a reason to change their minds?\n\"So eat, because we have no intentions on losing you.\" He told me and was about to walk away until I called him back.\n\"Where am I, Mephiles?\" I asked as I hoped he could at least tell me.\n\"This is an abandoned prison. We're still in the middle of nowhere, not far from where we abducted you. And I'm only telling you this because this will be your home for the remainder of your life or for however long you don't bore us. You will leave when we do.\" He stated, like he had some sort of ownership over me.\n\"Excuse me, what? What the hell are the three of you planning on doing to me? You act like you own me.\" I stood up from the bed, bewildered by this.\nA smile of amusement appeared on Mephiles' pale muzzle.\n\"Is there anything else you'd like to know?\" He asked instead of answering to my last question.\nSo I wasn't going to be getting any hints as to why I was kept here and healthy until the moment itself arrived, was I?\nThis was becoming more and more worrisome.\nJust what did they want from me? Why did they think it was so important to keep me fed and hydrated? What did Eclipse tell them?\nI shook my head as I had no further questions.\n\"Good, now eat.\" He told me, that smile not leaving his slightly more normal face even as he left.\nAs I grabbed the platter from the floor, I couldn't help but wonder what may be in store for me in the future. Something good it probably wouldn't be.\n\nA week later I was still stuck in that same prison cell. I hadn't managed to escape yet, nor have I managed to find out just why I was kept here. None of my questions had been answered thus yet.\nI had been given new clothes to wear because I could hardly wear the same outfit all the time. Right now I wore a lose shirt and lose pants to sleep in.\nSo far they have been providing me with everything that I needed. Food, water, clothes, time to clean myself... Just freedom was a little too much to ask.\nStill, I thought I was safe for now. That is honestly what I believed.\nClearly I was just fooling myself.\nIt was still very early in the morning and I was in a deep, deep sleep. My face was buried in my pillow as I lied on my front. I was aware of no one and nothing. I just slept as peacefully as was possible in my kind of situation.\nSo I didn't hear him come down my corridor, nor did I hear him opening my cell door or entering. It wasn't until a sudden weight joined me on this bunk that I stirred and knew someone else was there.\nBut by then it was already too late as a larger mobian's body pinned me down and covered my mouth with a hand. And to my horror, I believe that is a bulge I feel pressing against my rear.\n\"Hmm?!\" I hummed in shock while my eyes snapped open. Looking over my shoulder, it was Scourge who had entered.\n\"Hey there, Beautiful. I hope you don't mind the intrusion, but I really gotta need to take care of my morning wood. You won't mind helping me with that, do you?\" He asked with a smirk as he quickly let a hand travel downwards to grab the waistband of my pants and pull it down my butt with practised efficiency.\nI immediately began to struggle, hoping to hit him with my dangerous quills in order to wiggle myself from his reach and get him off of me before he could commit this atrocious crime on me.\nBut he was heavier and stronger than I was. There was little I could do to get him off. That same hand slipped between my legs, found my entrance and recklessly pushed a finger or two inside with not a single cloud of doubt in his mind, intruding the most intimate and private part of my body. To feel him in there was horrible. It was a sensation I could barely describe and it made my mind reel.\n\"Well, damn! That alien freak wasn't lying after all!\" He stated, enjoying my reaction, my look of absolute terror, from having my insides violated by two uninvited fingers.\nHe moved them and scissored my opening. It was foreplay, but not done with kindness or love, but with the sole intention of preparing me quickly for his manhood.\nOh Chaos, Maria, Rouge, if anyone is still watching over me, please don't let this happen to me!\nMy struggling grew, but that was when he decided to push the right side of my face into the pillow, causing massive pain to errupt from my still broken orbital socket.\nIt did more than just stun me as I cried out and Scourge took this opportunity to pull his fingers out of my folds to then move his boxers down his legs to free his hard-on.\nI could feel it between my inner thighs, precum already leaking and dripping down on my barely wet gender, but there was nothing I could do as Scourge grabbed his shaft, separated my legs a little wider and thrusted inside all the way with little regard for the innocence he was tearing away from me so brutally.\nA muffled cry left my vocals at the brutish penetration, my walls stretched to accommodate something like that much too painful to get any enjoyment out of it. And it didn't end there as he immediately pulled out to start a fast pace without waiting for me to adapt.\nScourge started groaning and panting into my ear as he thrusted, pushing his crotch against my butt every time he moved back in. I could feel his tip pressing up my cervix and it just creeped me out.\nNever would I have ever imagined I'd be the one to get raped. After all that has happened to me in my life, I still could've never guessed I'd be going through something this terrible. With my arms soon pinned behind my back and my mouth still muffled, I couldn't fight back and every thrust made killed my dignity just a little more, stained my body even more.\nI didn't want this, tears were gathering in the corners of my eyes out of frustration and humiliation.\nSuddenly he was sliding in easier and that could only be explained by two things. Either he had drawn blood or my body reacted naturally to the penetration, as it was programmed to do.\nIt hurt, it hurt so much, so I figured it must be the former.\n\"So tight and warm. If I knew you had a pussy, I would've raped you years ago.\" He told me, speeding up and snapping his hips downward faster.\nThis was so disgusting in every sense of the word. His thick manhood rubbed across my inner walls, his sweat covered body moving on top of me, and now his lips and teeth were making out with my neck. I wanted none of this and even through the pain I silently begged for this to be just a very realistic nightmare.\nIs this what they were going to keep me for? For sex? That's not the kind of life I want to live.\nI need to get out of here.\nAnd then Scourge came to a finish, rooting himself inside and pouring his seed straight into my womb. I could only release a muffled yell, both angry and disgusted. He was filling up my uterus and I'm not even sure if it's a safe day today. I haven't been keeping such a good eye on my cycle.\nBut the green hedgehog didn't care. He stayed put inside for a good few moments as he came, groaning loudly all the way.\n\"That was great.\" He panted into my ear, grabbing my cheeks and turning my head to force his lips on mine to steal my first kiss away too.\n\"You're the first pussy I've tasted in a year or two and I can't be more glad I managed to fuck such a tight virgin cunt.\" He growled dominantly, moving his girth as if reminding me that he was still inside.\nThe tears I had been trying to hold back slipped down from my cheeks and it was getting harder not to sob, my breathing irregular.\nHow could this have happened to me?\n\"You were a great fuck. I think we'll be doing this a lot from now on.\" Scourge told me, pulling out his soft member and sitting up. As if he couldn't humiliate me any further, he reached down with both hands to spread both of my buttocks apart to look at his handiwork.\n\"You fucking asshole!\" I screamed in rage, turned, and punched him off the bed now that he wasn't using my injury or sleeping position against me. My fist landed on his jaw and got him to fall down to the floor, landing hard.\nI quickly pulled my pants back up as I sat up straight, a hand settling on my crotch as it hurt. There were splotches of blood staining the mattress.\nScourge chuckled and drew my attention back to him. He was sitting there, blood running down from his nose.\n\"You can throw any punch you'd like, but that won't change the fact that you're virginity is mine. And sooner or later, we'll get you to beg for more because it'll be all you'll know from now on.\" He told me as he got up to his feet, pulling his boxer shorts back up.\nNo, I didn't even want to think I was going to suffer such a horrible fate.\nScourge smirked at my shock and fear before he left, satisfied for now.\nBut still I wasn't alone.\nFeeling a burning gaze one me, I looked back toward the bars and saw Mephiles now standing there and glaring at me angrily.\n\"Your innocence was supposed to be mine. You really couldn't keep your legs closed, could you? Well, I suppose you were raised amongst mortals.\" He spoke up, telling me that I was to be blamed for being raped.\n\"Go away!\" I grabbed the plate from dinner last night and threw it at him, though the metallic object couldn't quite get past the bars.\nIf it pissed him off even more, he wasn't showing it.\n\"I came to tell you that you're eating with us from now on. So get out.\" He told me, opening the barred cell to let me through.\nI decided to take this as an opportunity.\nLunging forwards, I grabbed Mephiles' collar and pinned him against the wall, squeezing his throat closed with an arm.\n\"I'm not staying here! I refuse to become your sex slave! I'm getting my stuff, my motorcycle, and not one of you three is going to chase after- AH!\" A loud cry of pain left me when Mephiles pressed a thumb right on the bandages where my right eye was supposed to be when he got short on breath.\nHe turned the tables and pinned me down instead, this time holding my throat closed.\n\"You're not leaving, Shadow. We want you around for one thing and one thing only and you no longer have the power to stop us.\" He growled, tightening his grip and lifting me a couple of inches up from the floor. One free hand settled on my hip and traveled downwards to squeeze my rear before going back on the move.\n\"Your leg is scarred, your eye has yet to grow back, you had the entire week to Chaos Control out of here. I still doubt you're mortal, but you aren't quite the Ultimate Lifeform anymore, are you? You're now vulnerable and we're about to milk this chance for all it's worth. And if you think it's solely for sex, than you're gravely mistaken.\" He told me, his hand moving to my front to settle on my pussy and push one finger into my abused opening, though there was still a layer of fabric in the way.\nIt hurt so badly, but it was nothing compared to the fear that I felt.\nWhat else could they use me for and how could he know that I'm not as strong as I used to be?\nEver since I have gotten sick, my Chaos abilities seemed to be just out of my reach. The energy was still there, but somehow I couldn't tap into it anymore. I was, by all accounts, a normal teenager now.\n\"So follow my advice, Shadow. Follow our every order obediently and you won't get hurt. You might even like it someday.\" The demon hedgehog told me, continuing to molest my wounded nether regions and he wasn't being gentle about it.\n\"Damn... you.\" Was the single reply I could muster after all that has happened to me this morning.\nI just wanted him to stop and take that hand away from my womanly organ. I just wanted to get out.\nFiguring that I didn't quite get it yet, Mephiles decided to give me an example to work with.\n\"How about this? You're going to follow me to the cafeteria to warm up to us all. If you refuse, I'll just take what I want right now and throw you back in that cell for later use.\" He gave me an ultimatum.\nBreakfast or more pain.\n\"I'll... go... with you.\" I managed to choke out, believing that to be the wisest decision for now.\nMephiles huffed in amusement, pulling back and letting me fall down to the metal floor with a 'thud', landing on my painful nether regions.\nMephiles walked away, expecting me to follow obediently should I want to avoid further harm.\nI would, but first...\n\"I may not be as strong as I used to be, but you're not as powerful as you once were either. Otherwise you wouldn't be hanging out with either Scourge or Eclipse to survive.\" I stated as I pushed myself up from the floor, coughing as I caught my breath.\nThe darker hedgehog turned to look back at me.\n\"I know why I'm your target. I defeated all three of you once before and that was my victory, not yours. This is all about revenge and I'm not going to sit by and just let you three take what you want simply because I decided to do what is right.\" I stated, so confident that was the reason.\nMephiles gave me an amused smile, he did actually have a nose and a mouth this time. He looked normal for a change. Well, as normal as he could look with those reptilian pupils of his.\nBut apparently that wasn't the case.\n\"Don't think so highly of yourself. You're making yourself out to be more important than you really are. We're three men who have been living together for the past three years since we found this place. You're more feminine than masculine and we'd like to keep someone like that around. That's it.\" He told me before he walked on.\nI placed a hand on my lower abdomen and looked down, knowing that Scourge's seed was still in there and wouldn't be coming back out.\nJust what will my future hold? How far will they take this and for how long?\nI can't stay here, can't let them do this to me.\nBut I did join Mephiles for breakfast. I followed him to the cafeteria and found Eclipse and my rapist already sitting there and enjoying a simple meal. I sat down reluctantly and cringed as it actually did hurt to sit.\nThat just made Scourge smirk, knowing he was the cause for my discomfort. Meanwhile Eclipse was just confused.\nHe must've felt my distress, but he needed to be very closeby to actually read my mind as he tapped into the link we've shared since his birth, so I doubt he had any idea what happened in my cell.\nThat meant at least one less indignity for me.\nThere were still many more to come.\n\n\"What's with you?\" The alien asked as he leant against the door of my cell, arms crossed.\nAfter breakfast I was brought back to my 'room' by Eclipse and my silence and behaviour seemed to raise questions within him. And that I was trying to put effort in closing my mind up to him only raised his suspicions even more.\n\"Tell me, why did you tell them such a terrible secret?\" I asked, not bothering to look back at him.\nHe seemed surprised that I knew.\n\"Believe it or not, I actually don't want you to be hurt. I was telling the truth when I told you I agreed with you.\" He told me, slightly annoyed that he had to repeat himself.\n\"Now are you going to tell me just why you acted so weird at breakfast?\" He asked, but I wasn't about to answer to that question.\n\"Are you going to tell me why you're wearing clothes?\" I responded to his question by another inquiry.\n\"I got injured, lost some of my armor, and decided to wear something to cover up the scars. Now answer my questions.\" He told me quickly, like ripping off a band-aid, but I still wasn't about to admit to him what had happened to me this morning, the manner in which I was so callously awoken by Scourge.\nJust thinking back to it disgusted me and my nether regions were sore and hurt. It was sort off hard to even sit on a damn bed.\n\"What happened to the Dark Arms?\" I asked instead, still keeping him in the dark.\n\"Answer my question, Shadow.\"\n\"Answer mine.\"\nI looked up to him, my resolve to not let him know set in stone.\n\"Fine. They're here in the complex with me. There's this pretty big part of this establishment just for the employees of this place. Three of us are staying there and so are the Dark Arms.\" He told me, looking a bit ticked off now.\nNo further questions for him, I looked back in front of me again, grabbing my pillow as if for comfort or a sense of protection.\nAs the silence continued, the alien wasn't going to get the answer he was searching for, but he did spot the stain.\n\"Is that blood?\" He asked and I looked down on the red blotches aswell.\nIt made me remember the violation so clearly.\nClearly enough for it to break through the mental barrier I had been trying to keep up and for Eclipse to know.\n\"It's nothing.\" I told him and grabbed the blanket to cover it, but already he took a step back in shock and looked at me.\n\"Is that what you mobians do to eachother? Something that despicable? You defended a race that does this?\" He asked as he wasn't entirely familiar with the concept of non-consensual sex.\nI doubt the Black Arms reproduced like this. I know very little about that particular race I'm supposed to be a part off, but from what I've gathered their newborns were created through the use of the Black Comet itself.\nMating like this was not something he was familiar with. So when he caught glimpses of something we call 'rape', he could hardly wrap his mind around such travesty.\n\"Oh, give me a break! That is not what sex is like. It's supposed to be a proof of love between two people and the wonderful process before conceiving a child. What Scourge did was the lowest crime he could committ to stain my body and it's because you had to open your trap that he even got the idea in the first place!\" I stood up as my voice raised, pointing an accusing finger at him.\n\"Thanks to you I will be stuck here pleasuring two men who hate my guts!\" I yelled him in the face.\nI was glaring so fiercely. If looks could kill, he'd be torn apart.\n\"I didn't mean for this to happen! I just thought it'd be smart to have a 'female' around!\" He defended himself, apparently already thinking of expanding this poor excuse of a community.\n\"Of course you are. You've always been about family. So when I decide to say 'no, I don't want to carry the children of scum', are you going to pin me down and rape me too? Like you tried to make me kill my friends when I didn't immediately agree to join you? Like you decided to find a way to single handedly destroy my homeworld after I destroyed yours?\" I asked, rubbing the facts in his face and reminding him that I wasn't in the wrong here.\nWhat happened to me wasn't my fault like Mephiles so casually insinuated, but it was his. Eclipse never should have told them the truth about my gender to naively think that they wouldn't hurt me because of it, shouldn't have assumed that I was going to carry their offspring just because I have the means to do so.\nThe alien seemed speechless, not expecting me to speak of such accusations.\n\"I would never do such a thing.\" He told me with such a serious tone mingled with shock that I was almost tempted to believe him.\nAlmost.\n\"If you're genuine, than you need to let me out. I'll forget about what happened and just continue on my way.\" I tried to convince him, although I won't exactly be wandering around anymore.\nI think it's time for me to search for a settlement. I want some place surrounded by people, where I'd have protection and wouldn't need to worry about food or being raped for either someone's pleasure or the purpose of conceiving a child.\n\"You wanna leave so soon, Beautiful? But you just got here a week ago.\" Scourge stated as he walked into view, that smirk still glued to his face because he really enjoyed what he did this morning.\n\"It's Shadow, Sonic. And I have no intention of staying and becoming the personal toy of all three of you.\" I stated, crossing my arms protectively in front of my chest as I felt afraid he'd take me again.\n\"I told you before, you slut! My name is not 'Sonic'!\" The green hedgehog's temper flared upon hearing me call him by his original name.\n\"And I'm not a slut. Looks like we're both disappointing eachother.\" I told him bluntly, which only made him even angrier.\n\"Eclipse, get out of the way! That bitch needs to know 'her' place.\" He moved to enter the cell, but my alien relative didn't let him through.\n\"Scourge, you've already hurt him today. You don't get to do it a second time.\" He stated, standing between the two of us.\nI couldn't believe that he was actually keeping me from harm. So is it true that he doesn't want anything else happening to me? Has he finally come around after all these years and decided that a fresh start was exactly what both of us needed?\nDisgruntled at Eclipse's attempt to stop him, a growl rumbled in the back of his throat before he turned and abruptly left now that he was turned off by this display.\nA sigh left the alien and he turned to look at me, but I was still much too busy looking back at him in shock.\nWith our mind-link open for now, he knew what I felt. The shock and appreciation, he could sense it.\nI can't stay here, but I can give Eclipse a second chance.",
"writing_bbcode_parsed": "<span style='word-wrap: break-word;'><div class='align_center'><strong><span class='underline'>The Darkness Of Today: Chapter 1</span></strong></div><br /><br /><strong><span class='underline'>Shadow&#039;s POV</span></strong><br /><br />With the blaring sun on my back did I ride on a motorcycle through what could only be described as a desert. From all sides, wherever I looked, there was nothing but a dusty plane stretching out into the horizon for as far as the eye could see and there was barely any life to behold.<br />There was no one else but me as I tried to speed through this empty plane, hoping to reach the nearest gas station or any other pitstop that would allow me to restock my supplies and give me a break from the heat of the sun.<br />I wore sunglasses to help against the glare and attempted to dress myself as cool as possible, which in my case was a black jacket, a top, and black jeans with equally dark walking shoes. It was all I could do to protect myself from sunburn. But still the sun was much too strong and I felt sweat soaking my fur in places I don&#039;t even want to mention. Speeding through like this I even had quite a rush of the wind running through my fur and quills and still the heat loomed over me, threatening to consume me.<br />As I kept my eyes on the barely visible road, I found myself wondering just why I had come out here all this way in the first place. I have just been wandering around aimlessly with no real goal in mind, so why did I wander to currently one of the warmest places on Mobius?<br />I could&#039;ve traveled up North to a forest and found myself a cabin to settle into for the time being, found a city where I was sure not to be alone, or found some other settlement where survivors shared supplies and protection.<br />But than again, I don&#039;t do company anymore, do I?<br />Still cruising through the blazing desert sun, my eyes squinted when I finally noticed a lonely gas station up ahead.<br />If I&#039;m lucky, I just might find some gas for my bike, some food to enjoy, or drinks to quench my thirst with. Maybe if people who weren&#039;t imbeciles like me didn&#039;t come out this far, I just might&#039;ve found an advantage after all.<br />Upon reaching it, I came to a slow stop and got off. The first things I did was stretch my slender body out and rub my backside, glad to finally be off the thing for once as I had been riding for a long time now. I dare say it&#039;s been hours already since my last stop. So it was truly such a relief.<br />Checking the pumps for gas and noticing that there really was still quite a bit to be used, I wasted no time in refilling the tank of my bike and the jerry can I always carried with me. Small as it was, it did help me on my way.<br />With that over with, I scanned my surroundings to make sure that I was competely alone and still there was no one else in sight.<br />With a slight limp in my right leg did I enter the shop and took a good look around me, removing my sunglasses because this was already a dark place concealed in shadows.<br />A strong smell overwhelmed my senses and I quickly used my jacket to cover my sensitive nose. It smelled of death in here and that can only be alarming.<br />It seemed to be coming from this one closed door to my right.<br />Mentally preparing myself for whatever I may find in there and hardening my heart, I cautiously grabbed hold of the door knob and twisted it, holding my free hand on my gun for a sense of security. Opening the door, the stench nearly bulldozed me with its overwhelming strength and my watering eyes caught sight of something truly horrific.<br />It was a family of three, dead, that were decaying in this room.<br />I felt myself becoming nauseated at the sight and quickly threw the door back close and hurrying outside for a breath of fresh air. I sought support with a wall and hunched forward, retching.<br />I thought I had prepared myself, but still I had not expected that strong of a smell and certainly not to see a dead couple with their young child.<br />They weren&#039;t that old either. So what was it that killed them?<br />The disease caused by the near mass extinction? Famin caused by a lack of food production? It couldn&#039;t have been the natural disaster that took place six years ago, could it? It&#039;s been too long for that.<br />Although, it was the cause for everyone&#039;s problems today.<br />Six years ago the day had finally come the years of exploitation of our planet Mobius had lead up to. Massive storms plagued many countries worldwide, hurricanes tore cities apart, tornadoes wreaked havoc in their paths, tsunamis flooded everything. Nature was deliberately partaking in pest control.<br />People died left and right. They had been the greatest of their kind ever recorded in history and they came so fast and with no warning or remorse.<br />I&#039;m the Ultimate Lifeform and even I thought I might die amongst the chaos.<br />I was at work the day Station Square was hit with one massive earthquake before we were flooded because, yes, even the tectonic plates themselves tried to axe us all off.<br />I was just trying to finish off some paperwork along with Rouge before we could finally go home after another long day at the base when everything suddenly started shaking and trembling. They were hefty tremors I had never before experienced and I can&#039;t deny a feeling of fear had overhwelmed me as this was my first time being caught in the middle of an earthquake during my few years here on Mobius.<br />My inexperience had left me frozen and afraid.<br />Rouge had been trying to keep me calm and collected and her words of reassurance that this is a very common natural disaster would&#039;ve worked had the floor not suddenly caved in right beneath our feet, the very foundations of G.U.N HQ no match for this force of nature.<br />No one stood a chance.<br />We had both been trapped underneath the rubble for days. It was the first time I truly experienced helplessness as I could call out for Rouge or for help and had no one to answer to me.<br />My multiple severe injuries is what stopped me from Chaos Controlling to safety or from finding my missing partner.<br />My ribcage had been shattered, which made it incredibly difficult to breath. Both of my legs had been broken, one bone in the one I now can only limp on was later found to be sticking out even. Plus an array of other less grave injuries along with an injured spine, but it could never compare to the loss Rouge suffered.<br />That collapse had cost her those two strong pair of wings.<br />We had been found on pretty much the same day as firefighters excavated us both, Rouge just in time to save her life. That was the advantage to having an office on one of the upper floors. You were found quicker than the poor souls trapped beneath even more layers of rubble.<br />We shared a room in a hospital still standing strong and I had been witness to a Rouge I had never seen before.<br />Angry, depressed, silent, with little life in her at all.<br />Without her wings, she believed herself to be nothing.<br />I would&#039;ve consoled her, I truly wanted to, except my shattered ribs and injured spine didn&#039;t allow me to do anything but lie there and let nurses and doctors tend to me, my lungs and heart so vulnerable even to the shards of bone that once made up the cage that protected them.<br />I could only watch as she cried herself to sleep every night, heartbreaking sounds so unfamiliar to me. Even for a mortal she had always seemed so untouchable.<br />My serious condition didn&#039;t allow me to go sit next to her and provide a shoulder to cry on. Words could barely comfort her.<br />It had taken me such a long time to even come close to recovering from my wounds. Weeks upon weeks were wasted stuck in that bed and unable to move because of my shattered ribs and both of my broken legs. I endured pain, we both did. One more than the other.<br />I was just close to be able to get out of bed again and Rouge regaining a little more of her will to live when the diseases reigned true.<br />There were many deaths and with priority given more to the medical care of the living instead of cleaning up the deceased, an epidemic had come to take away the weakest of the injured.<br />I&#039;m sure every day a couple more died and eventually even the two of us had been stricken with it too. There was no escape, everyone got their turn, people were picked off one by one at random. It didn&#039;t matter if you were young or old.<br />I have never been ill before, so to suddenly be defeated by a high fever, to live with a constantly weak and trembling body, and a mind ridden with hallucinations was terrifying. Never before have I experienced something like this.<br />Suddenly, once I finally regained a little bit of freedom, I was glued to the bed all over again. Doctors tending to me even feared I wouldn&#039;t make it through the night at first.<br />And it only got worse.<br />While I was gradually getting better, my superior body finally able to fight this sickness, my best friend and partner, the bat who I owe everything to, one day wouldn&#039;t wake up anymore.<br />Rouge had passed away peacefully in her sleep, her body unable to fight the sickness anymore.<br />To wake up one day and call out to her, only to look to my side and see her bed suddenly empty and neat for the next poor patient, was a devastating blow to the gut I would never forget.<br />The doctors and nurses working nearly non-stop in this hospital had believed they&#039;d be lessening the impact were they to keep me from seeing her so lifeless and still. They knew we were close and my teenaged look must&#039;ve made them want to spare me the sight, but it hadn&#039;t made it any less agonising.<br />I remember when I found out that it had become impossible for me to breath out of nowhere. A nearby nurse had to call in help when she couldn&#039;t get me to calm down.<br />And as I was still trying to wrap my head around her passing, my clarity of mind allowed a fellow surviving colleague to tell me that Omega had been receiving a check-up at the time of the earthquake so long ago. His armor had been placed to the side to make way for his vulnerable insides and wires and he had been crushed by the heavy debris. They were not able to recover his AI.<br />I didn&#039;t just lose Rouge, but Omega too and I hadn&#039;t even known it.<br />In a matter of just weeks, I was suddenly all alone again.<br />How do you avenge someone if they were killed by natural disasters? The anger that kept me going after Maria&#039;s and Gerald&#039;s death long enough to give me the time to meet Rouge, it was of no use to me now.<br />I was all alone. Once again I had lost the people closest to me and that wasn&#039;t a loss I could process.<br />That was why I prefered to go solo, why I wasn&#039;t one to keep company now. My heart just had been broken one too many times.<br />As for my right leg, the illness I survived had made an infection fester inside that limb, where an open fracture had once been.<br />While I had it in my left leg too, it had a much easier time recovering than my right. That was the reason why I had this limp, because that leg couldn&#039;t heal quite like it should anymore. It was also why there was such an ugly scar on my shin running down to my ankle.<br />I composed myself after my horrible find and grabbed a handkerchief from my pants to tie around my face, covering up my nose and mouth in the hopes of keeping out most of that wretched stench. It made my eyes water terribly too.<br />Entering back inside again, bag in tow, I looked around the store with efficient hurry. I hoped to find something worthwhile, load up, and leave quickly.<br />Except I was interrupted by a sound coming from somewhere behind me and I quickly spun on my heels and pulled my gun to take the source by surprise.<br />Now looking towards the front of the store, I saw no one or nothing in sight. And my bike was still standing exactly where I had left it.<br />Was my loneliness playing tricks on me? Or was it just some lonely desert animal knocking stuff down?<br />I believed my keen eyes and so I trusted there to be no immediate dangers as I continued my search.<br />I found some energy bars, some bottles of water, and some cheap medicine like aspirin and whatnot. I still could not get sick so easily, but I could use these for trading instead. Medicine was a very rare luxury these days.<br />Pills like these couldn&#039;t have stopped that epidemic and even if there was an easy cure, the goverment didn&#039;t have the time to give it to us before it fell.<br />Because they hid the warnings of scientists in favour of tourism, people had begun to distrust them, but it wasn&#039;t until the disease broke out and rumors started spreading that the goverment was withholding vaccines that everything started to crumble.<br />Riots broke out, streets were no longer safe, people driven by fear turned into people driven by rage and loss. I think that night was also the last time I had seen Sonic as the hedgehog, who had not been present in Station Square at the time of earthquakes, had been there to care for his injured friends.<br />I remember it was him who had taken me in when I could be discharged from the hospital and was still bound to a wheelchair. He, completely unharmed, tried to lift my spirits after the loss of my two closest friends while also juggling with the care of a sick Tails and Amy.<br />Knuckles, Vanilla or Cream, the Chaotix. I have honestly no idea what happened to any of them.<br />I actually don&#039;t know what happened to Sonic either, one day he was there and the next he was gone when the riots broke out, but I can only hope that he and the others are safe and enjoying the advantages a home and their own community can bring.<br />When the goverment had been crushed, people took to forming their own villages, so to speak. They existed out of family and friends. And with time lone wolves might join them aswell.<br />But I had no need for others right now.<br />Though it had been six years already, I still felt like I was mourning.<br />With my bag now full and feeling satisfied, I left that small building and felt relief as I had finally escaped that smell of death. It was still cooler in there than under the direct exposure of that giant ball of radiation, however.<br />I loaded the bag onto my motorcycle again and got back on the road, dying to get out of this death trap and preferably before nightfall.<br /><br />The sun was setting and the sky grew darker. The warm air around me was cooling down and helped me get the relief from this heat that I so desperatly needed.<br />I was no longer on that endless plane of dust, sand, and barely living skeletons of bushes. Instead I found myself in a canyon of sorts. High walls surrounded me like they came right out of a painting and I can&#039;t help but appreciate my current environment.<br />I wish I had taken more time to myself back in the day. I would&#039;ve traveled, let Rouge introduce me to all sorts of new places, let myself associate with people. Maybe then I would&#039;ve been able to share things like this with her.<br />But the sun was sinking lower and I knew that I didn&#039;t have much longer to find myself a safe spot to sleep.<br />I figured that it&#039;d be cooler here than back on the empty field of nothing, so I decided to stop my bike not long after and make camp for the night. I rolled out my sleeping bag near a wall and pulled one of those dry bushes out to have some dry wood to build a fire with.<br />I may not have food to roast, but with it I could keep animals and small critters away from me. I wasn&#039;t particularly hungry today anyway, so I decided to just go to bed for the night, unceremoniously dropping down on my sleeping bag and releasing a deep sigh as my eyes closed. No hunger meant less food wasted, of course.<br />I could fall asleep right here and now, just lying here on my front when my preferred position was actually on my side, curled up like hedgehogs liked to do.<br />I was supposed to be building a fire through the use of a lighter to keep myself safe from vermin and the chilly air of another desert night. I even had the bush lying on the ground right next to me. But instead I lied like this and let my body grow heavy, my breathing slow down, and my heartbeat grow steady.<br />I was just about to fall asleep.<br />Until I was suddenly under attack.<br />Being alone for so long had allowed me to lower my guard. It&#039;s been weeks since I&#039;ve last seen someone because I decided to be a moron and travel straight through a desert. I had never expected someone else to be here.<br />So to feel two hands grab my jacket out of nowhere, pull me up on my feet, and pin me with my front against the canyon wall was utterly shocking. This position didn&#039;t really allow me to fight back and with his tight grip holding my arms behind my back, he nearly broke the limbs.<br />&quot;Search the guy&#039;s stuff, he might have something useful.&quot; My attacker told his apparent accomplices and... Wait, I recognised that voice.<br />&quot;Scourge?&quot; I called the name of the man I thought him to be and the hold softened just slightly for a moment and the voice stopped.<br />A hand grabbed my quills and pulled my head back before the light of a flashlight was shone in my face, preventing me from seeing who my attackers were.<br />&quot;Shadow?!&quot; Whoever Scourge&#039;s buddies were, neither one of them had recognised me because of the darkness of the night.<br />In the moonlight they should&#039;ve been able to see me, but instead I had decided to take a nap in the canyons, where it was naturally darker, where my fur and clothes would help me blend in.<br />&quot;You know, I had often hoped to see people I used to know one more time, but I could&#039;ve lived without seeing your ugly mug again.&quot; I was not happy to reunite with him and I have no doubt that the feeling&#039;s mutual.<br />A growl left Scourge and suddenly he pulled back to smash my face into the canyon wall harder than I could&#039;ve expected, disorientating me and breaking my nose.<br />Didn&#039;t know he could be so sensitive.<br />No matter, it hurt, but I had that same uneven wall to work with, I could use that to my advantage.<br />Struggling against his hold, I placed my feet on the surface to push myself off and get Scourge to lose his footing and fall to the ground, allowing me to make a lunge for the lighter I had in my pocket while he got back up on his feet.<br />Lighting it, I came to face quite a shock.<br />Scourge&#039;s companions, who had been staying quiet because otherwise I&#039;d recognise them, were none other Mephiles and Eclipse themselves and... Was the latter wearing clothes?<br />&quot;Miss me, brother?&quot; The alien asked, experiencing some mixed feelings about this reunion himself.<br />&quot;As you&#039;re the Ultimate Lifeform, I hadn&#039;t expected you to die, but I hadn&#039;t expected to see you again either. Seems like we&#039;ve stumbled upon a blessing.&quot; Mephiles spoke up too, still very much a creep.<br />&quot;The feeling is mutual, which is why I&#039;ll be cutting this reunion short. Leave me be and I won&#039;t have to do anything drastic.&quot; I responded, reached for my gun strapped in its holster to my thigh.<br />Scourge I could handle, Eclipse I should be able to take care off to, Mephiles... Well, he suddenly smirked in quite a malicious way, like he was watching a snail shrivel up and die from salt.<br />&quot;There are three of us, Shadow, two of which you couldn&#039;t defeat on your own. Where&#039;s the logic in being so confident?&quot; He asked.<br />I gritted my teeth as I knew him to be right.<br />I had Rouge and Omega with me on both times. I was alone once with Eclipse and he defeated me in an instant by forcing me under his control and all he needed to do was to touch me.<br />I needed to think this through. Maybe I could meet them halfway as I did have more than enough supplies to sustain more than just myself.<br />We were all survivors trying to come by, surely they saw this as an opportunity to start things anew too?<br />&quot;Hmm...&quot; Eclipse pulled a thoughtful expression as he hummed, apparently tapping into our mind-link for the first time in years and hearing what I had been thinking.<br />So I removed my hand from my gun and held it up instead.<br />&quot;Listen, we don&#039;t need to fight about this. Let&#039;s talk and meet eachother halfway. I have more than enough supplies, I&#039;m willing to give half away and in return I expect to be left alone.&quot; I suggested, hoping that it would make sense to them.<br />Surely they had some common sense, right?<br />But Mephiles&#039; face of malice stayed.<br />&quot;I reject your offer.&quot; He told me and I was unable to notice the metal pipe before it was swung at me and made contact with my right temple. I fell to the ground, the lighter falling from my grip.<br />Scourge had gotten up and used his speed to have an advantage over me with his apparent weapon of choice.<br />Speed was not something I had anymore. So he had the upper hand quite quickly.<br />I wasted no time in pulling my gun from its holster, but I didn&#039;t have the time to pull the trigger when that pipe made contact with my face again.<br />I bit a cry back at the pain erupting from the hit and it was enough of a surprise to make me unable to defend myself as it came down once more.<br />&quot;Shadow! Is this really necessary, Scourge?&quot; Eclipse asked caring more about me than I did about him apparently, though he didn&#039;t actually make a move to help me.<br />It hadn&#039;t stopped Scourge, but he did go from hitting me in the face with a pipe to straddling my chest and using it to squeeze my throat closed.<br />All I could see was him and the blood that now speckled my vision.<br />They had no intentions of meeting me halfway. They&#039;d rather see me dead and just take it all for themselves instead.<br />Well, they&#039;re criminals and one of them is even a demon. So how could I have possibly expected them to be reasonable?<br />I desperately tried to breath as I wanted to pull my gun free, but one of his knees was pinning that a hand of mine down. My other one grasped the metal to try and pull it away, though unsuccessfully. Opening my mouth didn&#039;t do much either as no sound would leave. Yelling and bargaining would not help me here and I did not have the leverage necessary to push the metal pipe or the hedgehog on top away.<br />There was nothing I could do to fight back and the longer he held my airways closed, the quicker my consciousness was blacking out due to the lack of oxygen granted access into my lungs. And that bit of struggling I did was quickly ceasing aswell.<br />As my vision faded away, Mephiles&#039; evil look of victory and Eclipse&#039;s slight concern didn&#039;t.<br /><br />I don&#039;t know where I woke up, but it was in an uncomfortable, rusty bed in a room with a sink, a toilet in full view, and bars to make up one side of the wall with the door.<br />A prison cell.<br />I sat up in shock, only to cry out and place a hand on the right side of my face. Immense pain sprung forth and made me lie back down again. I curled up and felt tears gather at the intense sensation.<br />Quickly remembering just how Scourge had been brutalising me with that pipe, I can only wonder just how bad it looks. I realised that I can&#039;t see a thing from my right eye and I don&#039;t know why.<br />Was it the swelling that obstructed my vision? Had my orbital socket been smashed?<br />I wasn&#039;t going to get an answer by just lying here. So I decided to sit back up, slowly and carefully this time around. I let myself compose a little and cautiously stood up to approach the jail door.<br />Looking out into the hallway, I noticed that there were several cells up and down this entire, otherwise empty, corridor.<br />Of course, leave it up to Scourge and Mephiles to choose the worst place possible to hideout at. A damn prison. Though I do wonder just why Eclipse settled for this.<br />And everything looked so old and rusted too, like this place had been abandoned even before the natural calamities struck.<br />There was no sign of either one of my three captors and so I figured that I should pay attention to something a little more urgent right now.<br />So I walked towards the mirror that hung above the sink to inspect my wounded right eye.<br />Surprisingly enough, it was actually bandaged and neatly too.<br />I hoped that was the reason why I could no longer see.<br />Pulling it away carefully and cringing because of it, a gasp left me as I beheld the injury staining my previously perfectly symmetrical face.<br />No, it couldn&#039;t be called an injury anymore, it was just a downright mess. It didn&#039;t really even resemble an eye anymore!<br />That means I must&#039;ve lost it.<br />Damn, and my healing isn&#039;t as good as it used to be. I can&#039;t regenerate what I&#039;ve lost anymore. Otherwise I would&#039;ve been able to use my right leg properly.<br />Nevertheless, I can always hope, can&#039;t I?<br />Maybe it can still kick in.<br />&quot;You&#039;re finally up.&quot; No longer alone, I can&#039;t help but feel annoyed and turned my head to look at one of my hosts.<br />It was Eclipse.<br />&quot;I sensed your pain and figured you were awake, so I decided to come and take a look.&quot; He stated, leaning against the bars.<br />I looked back at my reflection to concentrate on my injuries again. Besides the giant mess of my right eye, there were bruises and minor cuts. I just wish I had something other than my own clothing to treat them with, though.<br />Eclipse didn&#039;t like my silence, but for once he actually understood why I was being like this.<br />&quot;If it helps, I would&#039;ve gone for your offer. You&#039;re right, this is a time when we should be starting fresh.&quot; He told me and I faced him again.<br />I approached the bars and wrapped my hands around two of them.<br />&quot;If you really feel that way, tell me what they&#039;re planning on doing to me.&quot; I responded, frowning deeply up to him. It was no use to beg to be let go, they just weren&#039;t the kind of people to do so. Not without ulterior motives at least.<br />Neither Mephiles nor Scourge are the kind of people to just imprison whoever they like either. So what plans they held for me was something I did want to know. They were both despicable and I had seen what atrocities they were both capable off. I would rather not be at the receiving end of those.<br />&quot;I don&#039;t know.&quot; Eclipse responded, unsure.<br />Suddenly he handed something over to me and it looked like a medkit.<br />&quot;Your eye couldn&#039;t be saved and that area will look ugly even when it&#039;s healed, but you should still take care of yourself before that gets infected.&quot; Why was he doing this? Doesn&#039;t he still hate my guts?<br />&quot;Like I said, I agreed with you. I can never forgive you for what you did, so you don&#039;t need to search any deeper than that.&quot; The alien told me and pushed himself away from the bars before he left me here on my own again.<br />&quot;Wait, Eclipse! Where am I?!&quot; I called after him, but as I heard the door close, I knew that I wouldn&#039;t be receiving an answer for now.<br />Alone again, I tried to take care of my wounds.<br /><br />I took care of my eye as best as I could with the materials that I had at hand. I wasn&#039;t a medical professional, but I managed to do a pretty snazzy job myself. I was at least sure it wouldn&#039;t get infected. Or I hoped it wouldn&#039;t at least.<br />But after that was over, I still ended up having several hours to kill. The one or two books that I owned were in my other bag reserved for more permanent stuff. I had no one to talk to, which I actually didn&#039;t mind considering the only company I&#039;d be receiving here. I just had nothing else to do, but sit in bed and hope for time to pass by quickly.<br />So I don&#039;t know for how long I had been sitting here, just that it wasn&#039;t as light as when I woke up anymore.<br />At least footsteps walking down the corridor, after the sound of a door opening and closing, told me that my waiting had finally come to an end.<br />Looking towards the hallway, I noticed my visitor was Mephiles and he was holding a platter with a meal and a drink.<br />&quot;Eat it.&quot; He ordered me, shoving the meal through a slot at the bottom of the door.<br />I wasn&#039;t so keen on eating anything that he brought. So I didn&#039;t get up from the bunk to take it and that didn&#039;t sit well with the demon.<br />&quot;It&#039;s not poisoned, if that&#039;s what you&#039;re wondering. We&#039;re trying to keep you alive.&quot; Mephiles told me, his expression unreadable.<br />&quot;And why would you?&quot; I asked, pulling a leg up on bed with me.<br />&quot;At first we were going to keep you for the meat. It expires too quickly in this heat and you can&#039;t find it anywhere here. Our original plan was to keep you in the freezer of this place and take small bits each day just to prolong your suffering until you&#039;d finally die. Or end up as a limbless torso for whatever else we might do with you next.&quot; Malicious intent was visible in his eyes and audible in his voice, sending cold and uncomfortable chills down my spine.<br />As he told me about such a gruesome plan for me, I can&#039;t help but feel a sense of fear and disgust.<br />I can&#039;t regenerate anymore. So what I would lose, was really lost to me forever now. It was a very horrific way to imagine myself dying in.<br />&quot;What changed your mind?&quot; I asked, though I wasn&#039;t exactly sure if I even wanted to know.<br />&quot;Eclipse did. He told us a deep secret about you and it may have changed our plans.&quot; Mephiles answered and I don&#039;t feel in the slightest bit comforted.<br />My alien &#039;brother&#039; told them something about me? What could that be? And why did it give them a reason to change their minds?<br />&quot;So eat, because we have no intentions on losing you.&quot; He told me and was about to walk away until I called him back.<br />&quot;Where am I, Mephiles?&quot; I asked as I hoped he could at least tell me.<br />&quot;This is an abandoned prison. We&#039;re still in the middle of nowhere, not far from where we abducted you. And I&#039;m only telling you this because this will be your home for the remainder of your life or for however long you don&#039;t bore us. You will leave when we do.&quot; He stated, like he had some sort of ownership over me.<br />&quot;Excuse me, what? What the hell are the three of you planning on doing to me? You act like you own me.&quot; I stood up from the bed, bewildered by this.<br />A smile of amusement appeared on Mephiles&#039; pale muzzle.<br />&quot;Is there anything else you&#039;d like to know?&quot; He asked instead of answering to my last question.<br />So I wasn&#039;t going to be getting any hints as to why I was kept here and healthy until the moment itself arrived, was I?<br />This was becoming more and more worrisome.<br />Just what did they want from me? Why did they think it was so important to keep me fed and hydrated? What did Eclipse tell them?<br />I shook my head as I had no further questions.<br />&quot;Good, now eat.&quot; He told me, that smile not leaving his slightly more normal face even as he left.<br />As I grabbed the platter from the floor, I couldn&#039;t help but wonder what may be in store for me in the future. Something good it probably wouldn&#039;t be.<br /><br />A week later I was still stuck in that same prison cell. I hadn&#039;t managed to escape yet, nor have I managed to find out just why I was kept here. None of my questions had been answered thus yet.<br />I had been given new clothes to wear because I could hardly wear the same outfit all the time. Right now I wore a lose shirt and lose pants to sleep in.<br />So far they have been providing me with everything that I needed. Food, water, clothes, time to clean myself... Just freedom was a little too much to ask.<br />Still, I thought I was safe for now. That is honestly what I believed.<br />Clearly I was just fooling myself.<br />It was still very early in the morning and I was in a deep, deep sleep. My face was buried in my pillow as I lied on my front. I was aware of no one and nothing. I just slept as peacefully as was possible in my kind of situation.<br />So I didn&#039;t hear him come down my corridor, nor did I hear him opening my cell door or entering. It wasn&#039;t until a sudden weight joined me on this bunk that I stirred and knew someone else was there.<br />But by then it was already too late as a larger mobian&#039;s body pinned me down and covered my mouth with a hand. And to my horror, I believe that is a bulge I feel pressing against my rear.<br />&quot;Hmm?!&quot; I hummed in shock while my eyes snapped open. Looking over my shoulder, it was Scourge who had entered.<br />&quot;Hey there, Beautiful. I hope you don&#039;t mind the intrusion, but I really gotta need to take care of my morning wood. You won&#039;t mind helping me with that, do you?&quot; He asked with a smirk as he quickly let a hand travel downwards to grab the waistband of my pants and pull it down my butt with practised efficiency.<br />I immediately began to struggle, hoping to hit him with my dangerous quills in order to wiggle myself from his reach and get him off of me before he could commit this atrocious crime on me.<br />But he was heavier and stronger than I was. There was little I could do to get him off. That same hand slipped between my legs, found my entrance and recklessly pushed a finger or two inside with not a single cloud of doubt in his mind, intruding the most intimate and private part of my body. To feel him in there was horrible. It was a sensation I could barely describe and it made my mind reel.<br />&quot;Well, damn! That alien freak wasn&#039;t lying after all!&quot; He stated, enjoying my reaction, my look of absolute terror, from having my insides violated by two uninvited fingers.<br />He moved them and scissored my opening. It was foreplay, but not done with kindness or love, but with the sole intention of preparing me quickly for his manhood.<br />Oh Chaos, Maria, Rouge, if anyone is still watching over me, please don&#039;t let this happen to me!<br />My struggling grew, but that was when he decided to push the right side of my face into the pillow, causing massive pain to errupt from my still broken orbital socket.<br />It did more than just stun me as I cried out and Scourge took this opportunity to pull his fingers out of my folds to then move his boxers down his legs to free his hard-on.<br />I could feel it between my inner thighs, precum already leaking and dripping down on my barely wet gender, but there was nothing I could do as Scourge grabbed his shaft, separated my legs a little wider and thrusted inside all the way with little regard for the innocence he was tearing away from me so brutally.<br />A muffled cry left my vocals at the brutish penetration, my walls stretched to accommodate something like that much too painful to get any enjoyment out of it. And it didn&#039;t end there as he immediately pulled out to start a fast pace without waiting for me to adapt.<br />Scourge started groaning and panting into my ear as he thrusted, pushing his crotch against my butt every time he moved back in. I could feel his tip pressing up my cervix and it just creeped me out.<br />Never would I have ever imagined I&#039;d be the one to get raped. After all that has happened to me in my life, I still could&#039;ve never guessed I&#039;d be going through something this terrible. With my arms soon pinned behind my back and my mouth still muffled, I couldn&#039;t fight back and every thrust made killed my dignity just a little more, stained my body even more.<br />I didn&#039;t want this, tears were gathering in the corners of my eyes out of frustration and humiliation.<br />Suddenly he was sliding in easier and that could only be explained by two things. Either he had drawn blood or my body reacted naturally to the penetration, as it was programmed to do.<br />It hurt, it hurt so much, so I figured it must be the former.<br />&quot;So tight and warm. If I knew you had a pussy, I would&#039;ve raped you years ago.&quot; He told me, speeding up and snapping his hips downward faster.<br />This was so disgusting in every sense of the word. His thick manhood rubbed across my inner walls, his sweat covered body moving on top of me, and now his lips and teeth were making out with my neck. I wanted none of this and even through the pain I silently begged for this to be just a very realistic nightmare.<br />Is this what they were going to keep me for? For sex? That&#039;s not the kind of life I want to live.<br />I need to get out of here.<br />And then Scourge came to a finish, rooting himself inside and pouring his seed straight into my womb. I could only release a muffled yell, both angry and disgusted. He was filling up my uterus and I&#039;m not even sure if it&#039;s a safe day today. I haven&#039;t been keeping such a good eye on my cycle.<br />But the green hedgehog didn&#039;t care. He stayed put inside for a good few moments as he came, groaning loudly all the way.<br />&quot;That was great.&quot; He panted into my ear, grabbing my cheeks and turning my head to force his lips on mine to steal my first kiss away too.<br />&quot;You&#039;re the first pussy I&#039;ve tasted in a year or two and I can&#039;t be more glad I managed to fuck such a tight virgin cunt.&quot; He growled dominantly, moving his girth as if reminding me that he was still inside.<br />The tears I had been trying to hold back slipped down from my cheeks and it was getting harder not to sob, my breathing irregular.<br />How could this have happened to me?<br />&quot;You were a great fuck. I think we&#039;ll be doing this a lot from now on.&quot; Scourge told me, pulling out his soft member and sitting up. As if he couldn&#039;t humiliate me any further, he reached down with both hands to spread both of my buttocks apart to look at his handiwork.<br />&quot;You fucking asshole!&quot; I screamed in rage, turned, and punched him off the bed now that he wasn&#039;t using my injury or sleeping position against me. My fist landed on his jaw and got him to fall down to the floor, landing hard.<br />I quickly pulled my pants back up as I sat up straight, a hand settling on my crotch as it hurt. There were splotches of blood staining the mattress.<br />Scourge chuckled and drew my attention back to him. He was sitting there, blood running down from his nose.<br />&quot;You can throw any punch you&#039;d like, but that won&#039;t change the fact that you&#039;re virginity is mine. And sooner or later, we&#039;ll get you to beg for more because it&#039;ll be all you&#039;ll know from now on.&quot; He told me as he got up to his feet, pulling his boxer shorts back up.<br />No, I didn&#039;t even want to think I was going to suffer such a horrible fate.<br />Scourge smirked at my shock and fear before he left, satisfied for now.<br />But still I wasn&#039;t alone.<br />Feeling a burning gaze one me, I looked back toward the bars and saw Mephiles now standing there and glaring at me angrily.<br />&quot;Your innocence was supposed to be mine. You really couldn&#039;t keep your legs closed, could you? Well, I suppose you were raised amongst mortals.&quot; He spoke up, telling me that I was to be blamed for being raped.<br />&quot;Go away!&quot; I grabbed the plate from dinner last night and threw it at him, though the metallic object couldn&#039;t quite get past the bars.<br />If it pissed him off even more, he wasn&#039;t showing it.<br />&quot;I came to tell you that you&#039;re eating with us from now on. So get out.&quot; He told me, opening the barred cell to let me through.<br />I decided to take this as an opportunity.<br />Lunging forwards, I grabbed Mephiles&#039; collar and pinned him against the wall, squeezing his throat closed with an arm.<br />&quot;I&#039;m not staying here! I refuse to become your sex slave! I&#039;m getting my stuff, my motorcycle, and not one of you three is going to chase after- AH!&quot; A loud cry of pain left me when Mephiles pressed a thumb right on the bandages where my right eye was supposed to be when he got short on breath.<br />He turned the tables and pinned me down instead, this time holding my throat closed.<br />&quot;You&#039;re not leaving, Shadow. We want you around for one thing and one thing only and you no longer have the power to stop us.&quot; He growled, tightening his grip and lifting me a couple of inches up from the floor. One free hand settled on my hip and traveled downwards to squeeze my rear before going back on the move.<br />&quot;Your leg is scarred, your eye has yet to grow back, you had the entire week to Chaos Control out of here. I still doubt you&#039;re mortal, but you aren&#039;t quite the Ultimate Lifeform anymore, are you? You&#039;re now vulnerable and we&#039;re about to milk this chance for all it&#039;s worth. And if you think it&#039;s solely for sex, than you&#039;re gravely mistaken.&quot; He told me, his hand moving to my front to settle on my pussy and push one finger into my abused opening, though there was still a layer of fabric in the way.<br />It hurt so badly, but it was nothing compared to the fear that I felt.<br />What else could they use me for and how could he know that I&#039;m not as strong as I used to be?<br />Ever since I have gotten sick, my Chaos abilities seemed to be just out of my reach. The energy was still there, but somehow I couldn&#039;t tap into it anymore. I was, by all accounts, a normal teenager now.<br />&quot;So follow my advice, Shadow. Follow our every order obediently and you won&#039;t get hurt. You might even like it someday.&quot; The demon hedgehog told me, continuing to molest my wounded nether regions and he wasn&#039;t being gentle about it.<br />&quot;Damn... you.&quot; Was the single reply I could muster after all that has happened to me this morning.<br />I just wanted him to stop and take that hand away from my womanly organ. I just wanted to get out.<br />Figuring that I didn&#039;t quite get it yet, Mephiles decided to give me an example to work with.<br />&quot;How about this? You&#039;re going to follow me to the cafeteria to warm up to us all. If you refuse, I&#039;ll just take what I want right now and throw you back in that cell for later use.&quot; He gave me an ultimatum.<br />Breakfast or more pain.<br />&quot;I&#039;ll... go... with you.&quot; I managed to choke out, believing that to be the wisest decision for now.<br />Mephiles huffed in amusement, pulling back and letting me fall down to the metal floor with a &#039;thud&#039;, landing on my painful nether regions.<br />Mephiles walked away, expecting me to follow obediently should I want to avoid further harm.<br />I would, but first...<br />&quot;I may not be as strong as I used to be, but you&#039;re not as powerful as you once were either. Otherwise you wouldn&#039;t be hanging out with either Scourge or Eclipse to survive.&quot; I stated as I pushed myself up from the floor, coughing as I caught my breath.<br />The darker hedgehog turned to look back at me.<br />&quot;I know why I&#039;m your target. I defeated all three of you once before and that was my victory, not yours. This is all about revenge and I&#039;m not going to sit by and just let you three take what you want simply because I decided to do what is right.&quot; I stated, so confident that was the reason.<br />Mephiles gave me an amused smile, he did actually have a nose and a mouth this time. He looked normal for a change. Well, as normal as he could look with those reptilian pupils of his.<br />But apparently that wasn&#039;t the case.<br />&quot;Don&#039;t think so highly of yourself. You&#039;re making yourself out to be more important than you really are. We&#039;re three men who have been living together for the past three years since we found this place. You&#039;re more feminine than masculine and we&#039;d like to keep someone like that around. That&#039;s it.&quot; He told me before he walked on.<br />I placed a hand on my lower abdomen and looked down, knowing that Scourge&#039;s seed was still in there and wouldn&#039;t be coming back out.<br />Just what will my future hold? How far will they take this and for how long?<br />I can&#039;t stay here, can&#039;t let them do this to me.<br />But I did join Mephiles for breakfast. I followed him to the cafeteria and found Eclipse and my rapist already sitting there and enjoying a simple meal. I sat down reluctantly and cringed as it actually did hurt to sit.<br />That just made Scourge smirk, knowing he was the cause for my discomfort. Meanwhile Eclipse was just confused.<br />He must&#039;ve felt my distress, but he needed to be very closeby to actually read my mind as he tapped into the link we&#039;ve shared since his birth, so I doubt he had any idea what happened in my cell.<br />That meant at least one less indignity for me.<br />There were still many more to come.<br /><br />&quot;What&#039;s with you?&quot; The alien asked as he leant against the door of my cell, arms crossed.<br />After breakfast I was brought back to my &#039;room&#039; by Eclipse and my silence and behaviour seemed to raise questions within him. And that I was trying to put effort in closing my mind up to him only raised his suspicions even more.<br />&quot;Tell me, why did you tell them such a terrible secret?&quot; I asked, not bothering to look back at him.<br />He seemed surprised that I knew.<br />&quot;Believe it or not, I actually don&#039;t want you to be hurt. I was telling the truth when I told you I agreed with you.&quot; He told me, slightly annoyed that he had to repeat himself.<br />&quot;Now are you going to tell me just why you acted so weird at breakfast?&quot; He asked, but I wasn&#039;t about to answer to that question.<br />&quot;Are you going to tell me why you&#039;re wearing clothes?&quot; I responded to his question by another inquiry.<br />&quot;I got injured, lost some of my armor, and decided to wear something to cover up the scars. Now answer my questions.&quot; He told me quickly, like ripping off a band-aid, but I still wasn&#039;t about to admit to him what had happened to me this morning, the manner in which I was so callously awoken by Scourge.<br />Just thinking back to it disgusted me and my nether regions were sore and hurt. It was sort off hard to even sit on a damn bed.<br />&quot;What happened to the Dark Arms?&quot; I asked instead, still keeping him in the dark.<br />&quot;Answer my question, Shadow.&quot;<br />&quot;Answer mine.&quot;<br />I looked up to him, my resolve to not let him know set in stone.<br />&quot;Fine. They&#039;re here in the complex with me. There&#039;s this pretty big part of this establishment just for the employees of this place. Three of us are staying there and so are the Dark Arms.&quot; He told me, looking a bit ticked off now.<br />No further questions for him, I looked back in front of me again, grabbing my pillow as if for comfort or a sense of protection.<br />As the silence continued, the alien wasn&#039;t going to get the answer he was searching for, but he did spot the stain.<br />&quot;Is that blood?&quot; He asked and I looked down on the red blotches aswell.<br />It made me remember the violation so clearly.<br />Clearly enough for it to break through the mental barrier I had been trying to keep up and for Eclipse to know.<br />&quot;It&#039;s nothing.&quot; I told him and grabbed the blanket to cover it, but already he took a step back in shock and looked at me.<br />&quot;Is that what you mobians do to eachother? Something that despicable? You defended a race that does this?&quot; He asked as he wasn&#039;t entirely familiar with the concept of non-consensual sex.<br />I doubt the Black Arms reproduced like this. I know very little about that particular race I&#039;m supposed to be a part off, but from what I&#039;ve gathered their newborns were created through the use of the Black Comet itself.<br />Mating like this was not something he was familiar with. So when he caught glimpses of something we call &#039;rape&#039;, he could hardly wrap his mind around such travesty.<br />&quot;Oh, give me a break! That is not what sex is like. It&#039;s supposed to be a proof of love between two people and the wonderful process before conceiving a child. What Scourge did was the lowest crime he could committ to stain my body and it&#039;s because you had to open your trap that he even got the idea in the first place!&quot; I stood up as my voice raised, pointing an accusing finger at him.<br />&quot;Thanks to you I will be stuck here pleasuring two men who hate my guts!&quot; I yelled him in the face.<br />I was glaring so fiercely. If looks could kill, he&#039;d be torn apart.<br />&quot;I didn&#039;t mean for this to happen! I just thought it&#039;d be smart to have a &#039;female&#039; around!&quot; He defended himself, apparently already thinking of expanding this poor excuse of a community.<br />&quot;Of course you are. You&#039;ve always been about family. So when I decide to say &#039;no, I don&#039;t want to carry the children of scum&#039;, are you going to pin me down and rape me too? Like you tried to make me kill my friends when I didn&#039;t immediately agree to join you? Like you decided to find a way to single handedly destroy my homeworld after I destroyed yours?&quot; I asked, rubbing the facts in his face and reminding him that I wasn&#039;t in the wrong here.<br />What happened to me wasn&#039;t my fault like Mephiles so casually insinuated, but it was his. Eclipse never should have told them the truth about my gender to naively think that they wouldn&#039;t hurt me because of it, shouldn&#039;t have assumed that I was going to carry their offspring just because I have the means to do so.<br />The alien seemed speechless, not expecting me to speak of such accusations.<br />&quot;I would never do such a thing.&quot; He told me with such a serious tone mingled with shock that I was almost tempted to believe him.<br />Almost.<br />&quot;If you&#039;re genuine, than you need to let me out. I&#039;ll forget about what happened and just continue on my way.&quot; I tried to convince him, although I won&#039;t exactly be wandering around anymore.<br />I think it&#039;s time for me to search for a settlement. I want some place surrounded by people, where I&#039;d have protection and wouldn&#039;t need to worry about food or being raped for either someone&#039;s pleasure or the purpose of conceiving a child.<br />&quot;You wanna leave so soon, Beautiful? But you just got here a week ago.&quot; Scourge stated as he walked into view, that smirk still glued to his face because he really enjoyed what he did this morning.<br />&quot;It&#039;s Shadow, Sonic. And I have no intention of staying and becoming the personal toy of all three of you.&quot; I stated, crossing my arms protectively in front of my chest as I felt afraid he&#039;d take me again.<br />&quot;I told you before, you slut! My name is not &#039;Sonic&#039;!&quot; The green hedgehog&#039;s temper flared upon hearing me call him by his original name.<br />&quot;And I&#039;m not a slut. Looks like we&#039;re both disappointing eachother.&quot; I told him bluntly, which only made him even angrier.<br />&quot;Eclipse, get out of the way! That bitch needs to know &#039;her&#039; place.&quot; He moved to enter the cell, but my alien relative didn&#039;t let him through.<br />&quot;Scourge, you&#039;ve already hurt him today. You don&#039;t get to do it a second time.&quot; He stated, standing between the two of us.<br />I couldn&#039;t believe that he was actually keeping me from harm. So is it true that he doesn&#039;t want anything else happening to me? Has he finally come around after all these years and decided that a fresh start was exactly what both of us needed?<br />Disgruntled at Eclipse&#039;s attempt to stop him, a growl rumbled in the back of his throat before he turned and abruptly left now that he was turned off by this display.<br />A sigh left the alien and he turned to look at me, but I was still much too busy looking back at him in shock.<br />With our mind-link open for now, he knew what I felt. The shock and appreciation, he could sense it.<br />I can&#039;t stay here, but I can give Eclipse a second chance.</span>",
