He wasn't so fond of the idea to leave his big giant rock behind on an even bigger flying rock.\n\"Well, long story short; Tails has a spaceship in this secret hangar underneath our house and Amy and I want to use it to search the Black Comet and get Shadow back. But seeing has how those aliens gave us a hard time last time, we need all the help we can get. And that means you, Rouge, Omega and most likely the Chaotix aswell. So that's why we came here to ask you along.\" I couldn't help but take a breather after explaining all that in one breath and as quickly as I could.\nKnuckles raised an eyebrow as he heard my explanation. It all seemed a bit too far-fetched to him.\n\"It's true. If it makes you feel more comfortable you can take the Master Emerald with you. More power for the ship is always welcome.\" I tried convincing him.\nThe more help we got the better our chances were of getting Shadow back alive. That is, if he was still around after five years of whatever terrible things Black Doom had in mind for him. Part Black Arms or not, Daddy Doom didn't want his boy back because family was suddenly so important to him. If he cared at all, he wouldn't send nearly all his kids off to die for the sake of conquering a planet that he had deemed inferior.\n\"Are you kidding me? We can't take the Master Emerald off Angel Island. If we do, than the whole island will end up crashing down on Mobius.\" Knuckles said, crossing his arms in front of his chest.\n\"Okay, fine. We'll leave the emerald here, but you have to come along with us.\" I said, we really needed him with us.\n\"I can't. It's noble of you to continue believing that we can still do something for Shadow, but my duty lies here on Angel Island. I have to protect the Master Emerald.\" He said, turning to look at that big shiny rock of his.\nMy fists clenched, but instead of fighting with him about it like usual, I turned around to walk back to the Tornade. Fighting now would be a huge waste of time. One that would certainly proof to be bad for Shadow.\nThat damn stubborn echidna! We had the chance to go up there and save one of our own! But no, he wanted to stay here and protect a big rock! Who was going to steal it? Eggman? Then we'll get that rock back as soon as we returned! Piece of cake!\n\"He's not coming, is he?\" Tails asked as he watched me return to the Tornado. Dissapointment was written all over his face.\nI shook my head and climbed up in my seat, Tails quickly followed my example. It was time to leave and go to the one person we should've gone to as soon as Tails told us we could use that spaceship of his.\nRouge.\n\nIt didn't take us long to fly over to the G.U.N headquarters. With Tails flying the Tornado, we were there in no time.\nThe headquarters of the military was our next stop as Rouge worked there as a goverment spy. Seeing as she was Shadow's best friend, we should've gone to her and told her about our plan to go up into space. But instead of doing so, we had gone to see Knuckles first as Angel Island seemed like a good choice at first. He was one of our best friends, after all.\nBut that was none of our concern now. If Knuckles didn't want to come along to help a fellow friend out, than we weren't going to stick around and wait for him to change his mind either.\n\"I think the Commander won't mind if we landed on their air strip.\" I said with a light smirk. G.U.N had always been a huge let down. Not to mention a pain in the butt, a fact that the whole world knew.\nSo when there was a chance to tease them, of course we would go for it. One would wonder if that would get us in trouble, but that was thankfully not the case as G.U.N often needed our help to fight against Eggman or any other villian who tried doing our world wrong.\nTails looked a bit uncertain at first as this was military territory, but quickly took his Tornado down for landing.\nAs soon as the plane's wheels touched the ground, I jumped out of my seat and jogged over to the main building of this military facility. Tails quickly followed after me once his plane's engine had stopped roaring.\n\"Where do you think Rouge's office is?\" I asked as I walked passed several hallways and rooms. Several people watched us pass in surprise as they didn't expect a visit from us.\n\"I don't know. Do you think we should ask around?\" Tails suggested.\n\"Ask around for what?\"\nWe both turned around simultaneously to see the white bat we had been looking for standing there with a stack of papers in her arms.\n\"Rouge! There you are! You need to come with us!\" I stated as I grabbed her arm and practically dragged her along with me back in to the way Tails and I came from. The papers she had been holding in her arms fell to the tiled floor, scattering all over the place.\nRouge seemed surprised at first, but once she realised what was going on she quickly pulled her arm back.\n\"Sonic, where are you taking me?!\" Rouge demanded to know. She wasn't just going to let anyone take her where ever they pleased, especially if she didn't know where.\n\"Sonic!\" She called my name in protest as I grabbed her arm and continued pulling her along.\n\"Where do you think we're going? We're going to the Tornado! We're going to do something that should've done five years ago. And that is saving our friend!\"\n\nXOX\n\n\"You're so quiet. Don't tell me that you, the great Ultimate Lifeform, has been broken\" Black Doom mockingly stated as he had not heard me complain, yell, cry out in fear or whine out of pain and misery for days now. He was actually starting to get suspicious.\nI pondered for a while, weither I should ask this question or not. It had been bothering me for weeks now. But if I really dared to ask it was something I had yet to decide.\n\"Where are they?\" I asked.\nThe first time I woke up to find myself pregnant for the second time, my panic had distracted me from noticing that the eggs I had given birth to only hours prior were not there anymore. But as I got pregnant for the third time, I did notice that the second batch was missing aswell, which I didn't mind all that much. Not in the beginning.\nWhen the fourth time came, I began to silently wonder what happened to my third cluster while I was passed out. By the end of my third pregnancy, I had actually started caring for the aliens my body incubated.\nAnd now that I wake up to find myself pregnant for the fifth time, only hours after giving birth for the fourth time, and found that this cluster was missing aswell, I couldn't help but hurt inside.\nOne of the six womb chambers was completely empty and I was now carrying the first quarter of the second chamber. And knowing that Black Doom would only start considering releasing me out of this when all six chambers had been emptied or until I had replaced every soldier I had killed, the future didn't look good for me.\nI was slowly losing my grip on time. But knowing that each pregnancy lasted five weeks and this was just the start of my fifth pregnancy, I had to have been here for roughly five months now.\nFive months and still no sign of Sonic or Rouge. And I had already been raped and impregnated five times, given birth four times and got my children taken away from me every single time. The latter hurting the most as I had started caring for every single one of them by now.\nNot to mention this constant isolation from every living being on this comet was taking a toll on me aswell. The only form of communication I had was the sexual molestation of the tentacles and Doom's voice mocking me for just about anything.\nIt hurt. Everything hurt. My body hurt. And mentally and emotionally I wasn't doing so good either. I felt the overwhelming urge to cry and my heart ached 24/7. There was not a single ounce of my pride left.\nThere was no denying that I was broken.\nSo far I had been able to handle everything. The Ark's raid, Maria and Gerald's death, years of experiments and abuse. They had broken me before, but I always found the strength and the energy to rise up again. Even if it was through anger. In fact, it was mostly through anger. But I didn't even feel that anymore. Instead I felt empty, hurt and sorrow.\n\"They? You mean my offspring?\" Black Doom put extra emphasis on 'my'. With the strange connection our mind shared, of course he knew that I had started seeing these eggs and the aliens growing within as my own. He was trying to hurt me even more by making sure that I knew 'my' children were never mine to begin with. And I was just the vessel, an instrument, that would ensure a stronger survival to become stronger soldiers, used as a waste to destroy a whole planet.\n\"Don't tell me you have started caring for them. Don't forget, you oblitared many of their brethren. Once they hatch and realise what you have done, their hatred for you will run deep and you will be nothing more than the womb they came from.\" The mocking tone at which he said those words didn't pain me as much as the meaning of the words themselves.\nI closed my eyes and let my tears fall as the aching and sadness inside had become too much once again. Doom's dark and amused chuckling echoed in my mind for a long time before I was left completely alone again. Feeling worse off with my answer than I did beforehand.\n\nSonic's POV\n\nRouge just couldn't contain her happiness. She had practically raced faster than I could run to the Tornado as soon as she heard 'save' and 'our friend' in the same sentence. She had been the one to drag me over to my buddy's airplane and made me get in my seat quickly before sitting down on my lap. The blue Tornado only had two seats, but since she couldn't get to Tails' workshop as fast as a plane, she decided to tag along like this, not caring that there wasn't exactly enough space with her sitting on my lap.\n\"What about the Commander, though?\" I asked her. The guy replacing Commander Tower, while a little less uptight, could still be pretty strict.\n\"Screw that guy! Shadow needs me!\" Rouge simply aswered while Tails hurriedly climbed up in his seat to start up the plane's engine and rapidly take of into the sky.\n\n\"So what's the plan?\" Rouge asked as she jumped out of the plane once the engine had stopped roaring. The five years of uncurable sadness, grief and guilt seemed to have dissapeared with the knowledge that we were finally going up to space to save Shadow.\n\"Our plan is to get as much supplies as we can afford and to collect the Seven Chaos Emeralds to have some advantage when we have to fight Black Doom off.\" I explained while getting out of the plane myself as that was the general plan we currently had. But for as much as I wanted to kick that alien overlord's butt, if he had one under that dress of his, it would be nice if we got Shadow back home safe and sound with getting into unnecessary trouble.\n\"Oh...\" Rouge simply responded as she entered my home after Tails had already gone inside. She would've wanted to know more detail about the plan, but she was glad there was even a plan to begin with.\n\"Oh hey, Rouge.\" Amy greeted her with a smile, which the bat returned.\n\"So did you hear the good news?\" She asked, to which Rouge nodded.\n\"Yes, I did. So what do we have already? Supplies? A Chaos Emerald?\" She asked.\n\"Well, we have some supplies, but we were actually hoping you could help us search for the Chaos Emeralds with you being a treasure hunter and all.\" Tails said.\n\"Of course I'll go look for those nice gems. I still have Shadow's at home so I'll be going back home to grab that quickly first.\" She said as she bolted out the front door right after.\n\"Okay! Sonic will be looking for the emeralds too while Amy and I will go out and buy some more groceries!\" The kit yelled after her, seconds before the door slammed close, but if she heard anything at all was something we were left to wonder.\n\"Rouge is right. We shouldn't waste any more time then we need too. Tails, do you know where one of the Chaos Emeralds could be?\" I asked.\n\"I still have this old Chaos Emerald Tracker that I have upgraded a little. If you're close to an emerald, it should warn you.\" The kit said as he handed me one of his older devices. It was one that he had made to track down Chaos Emeralds. That's why it was called the CET, the Chaos Emerald Tracker. A pretty obvious name.\n\"Okay, I'll be back as soon as I find an emerald.\" I said as I took the device and quickly ran out through the front door with the use of my famous speed.\nI didn't plan on taking to long to search for the emeralds. Everyone worked as fast as they could. Because the faster we could go up to space, the faster we could get to Shadow.\nThat is, if we weren't already five years too late.\n\nXOX\n\nI whined, yelped and cried out as contraction after contraction tore through my body. It was time. I had to give birth again. But this was not for the fifth time. Nor for the sixth time or the seventh. This was the eight time that I had to give birth. And to say that I wasn't looking forward to it, was an understatement.\nIt wasn't the thought of giving birth to alien eggs that turned me off, but it was the thought of them leaving me that I could not stand. I wanted them to stay with me. I didn't want them out of me. If they left the safety of my womb, they would surely be taken away again. And I don't think I can handle much more of these seperations.\n\"No... Please... Don't leave me.\" I begged, but the urge to push began to overwhelm me. I knew I needed to push. Otherwise I don't think any of them will live for much longer.\nEventually, it was that thought that made me give in to my body's wishes and started to push along with the pain. Not much pushing was needed as given birth every five weeks had worn me out down there, making it much easier than the first time to push them out. Although, the birthing process was still accompanied with alot of pain.\n\"No...... No....\" I panted as I felt the first egg slip out. I should be worried for my body's health now that they could slip out of me so easily, but found myself too concerned with the eggs leaving me instead.\nThe desperation Black Doom most likely sensed I was feeling, was probably amusing him to no end. He knew of my growing attachment and affection towards the aliens I was forced to incubate and loved every second of me missing the Black Arms larvae that had already left and loved every second of my fear that these ones will dissapear aswell.\nI whined in pain as I felt the second egg slip out. I laid there panting for a couple of times until the next contraction came, telling me that number three was already on its way.\n\"Not yet.... Not yet.\" I panted, desperation clinging to me as I suddenly changed my mind about giving birth. But because my body didn't get the time it needed to recover after each birth, I had no control over my actions and the eggs escaped me anyway.\n\"Black Doom, please, don't let them leave me. Don't take them away!\" I begged as I felt the third one slip out aswell. Before all of this, I wouldn't have begged anyone for anything. Now I was different. Now I worried about the alien offspring that would soon grow into the soldiers I had eliminated countless of.\nI hated Black Doom for doing this to me, but if begging atleast gave me a chance of keeping them with me, than so be it. And besides, it wasn't like I had any dignity left by now anyway.\nBecause of my resistance it had taken well over an hour before the last egg had been pushed out of me.\nI was tired and just like the seven times before, I was close to passing out. I didn't even try to stay awake as I knew what was going to happen next and it was something I would rather not go through fully awake. So I closed my eyes and let my exhaustion take me.\nBut when I woke up a couple of hours later, I woke up to discover that my body hadn't been messed with by those tentacles and my belly wasn't as big as it should be.\nI wasn't pregnant.\n\nSonic's POV\n\nI had been running for a couple of hours now without finding a Chaos Emerald. It was late in the evening and I knew that we must have atleast one of the emeralds by now. Rouge did tell us that she was going to get Shadow's.\nI was just about to turn back home and call it night if it weren't for the beeping that suddenly came from the device in my hand.\nI looked down at the screen of the Chaos Emerald Tracker and saw a small red dot slowly but surely come closer to me.\nThe Chaos Emerald was moving? How?\nAs the red dot came closer and closer, but I didn't see it anywhere near me, I decided to look up to the night sky.\nI smirked.\nTwo of Eggman's robots were flying overhead. And if I'm not mistaken, one of them held a shiny, all powerful rock in his hands.\n\"There you are.\" I stated to no one in particular. After nearly a whole day of searching I finally found one. And I didn't even need to search for it! It came right to me!\nHow do I get to it, though? They were way up there and I was way down here. I knew I couldn't get it from down here. I had to follow them back to Eggman's base. Once there I could easily take the emerald from them.\nI watched them for a moment or two.\n'This should be a piece of cake.' I thought with a smirk. With the speed they were going, it should be no problem to follow them.\nThat is, that would've been the case if they didn't just randomly blow up out of nowhere.\n\"What the...\" I muttered as I watched the two robots blow up. How did those robots explode at random? Did Eggman somehow do a very bad job at these? His robots usually don't just explode out of nowhere.\nAs I looked up, I knew what the cause behind the robots' destruction was.\n\"Hey, Tails!\" I shouted on the top of my lungs as I waved, although it was very unlikely that he could've heard me. The Tornado slowly began to turn. Tails must be searching for a suitable landing spot. He must've seen that those robots had a Chaos Emerald too.\nI ran over to the heap of ruined robots and searched through the metal parts and cords for the emerald. It only took a moment before I found the blue glowing rock.\n\"Hey, Sonic!\" And apparently it also took a moment for Tails to land and run toward me.\n\"Hey, Tails! Any luck?\" I asked as I turned around to face him.\n\"No, that emerald you're holding was the first one I came across.\" He admitted, clearly just as dissapointed as I was before I came across this one. Neither one of us were as succesful as we wanted to be. But hey! One Chaos Emerald was better than none, right? And I'm pretty sure Rouge has already returned with Shadow's Chaos Emerald by now.\nThat was two emeralds down.\nFive more to go.\n\nXOX\n\nI was panicking.\nWhy wasn't I pregnant for the ninth time? Why aren't those tentacles enjoying themselves with my body? Was Black Doom planning something different? He loved my misery whilst I was pregnant, so why did he suddenly change that?\nAnd the fact that I woke up every single day for a whole month with the same exact result only made me feel even worse.\nWas I no longer of any use to him?\nIf so... Then what next?\nWas he going to get rid of me?\n\"Don't be ridiculous, Shadow.\" Black Doom's voice echoed in my mind. He had obviously sensed my distress.\n\"Then why? I thought you loved having me so miserable while regenarating your army!\" I asked, my heart still beating furiously in my chest as I wasn't relieved in the slightest to hear that he wasn't planning on killing me after all.\n\"Your DNA has been toyed with more than enough. Now it's time to see what kind of changes will occur.\" His voice told me.\nAfter all that he had put me through, it didn't take me long to figure out for what exactly he modified my body for.\n\"I see... So that's why you went so far to change me.\" I muttered as I stared up at the ceiling. I was no longer surprised at this discovery.\nI wasn't surprised to find out that my punishment hadn't even begun either.\nI mentally scolded myself for thinking that all I had to do to earn their forgiveness was carrying all those eggs in the spawn chambers to full term during my stay here. That wasn't my real punishment. That was just to modify my body, to make it adapt more to their DNA. Not in appearance or power, but on a reproductive level. He wanted my body to produce eggs unwillingly on its own.\nThat was my real punishment.\nIt was never about forcing these eggs into me and making me incubate them all. It was about making me create my own offspring so he could use them in his army. Black Doom wanted to throw my flesh and blood in battle just for the sake of showing me what it was like to lose so many people. But unlike Doom, I would hold every single one of my kids dear. Which would, without a doubt, only hurt me more. Black Doom knew this. And that was why he chose this punishment.\n\"You bastard!\" I yelled. The anger that had often helped me rise back up to my feet had finally flared back up at the horrible thought of having the lives of my own offspring thrown away like garbage just because this close-minded race with a superiority complex decided that I was the traitor for doing exactly what they did; protecting my homeplanet!\n\"Even after all of this, you can still find it in yourself to fight? Impressive.\" Black Doom stated, genuinely impressed with the fact that I became angry instead of bawling and wailing until my voice broke like I had done before. He didn't think it was possible for me to do anything besides that.\n\"You bastard! How dare you hurt innocent lives just to get to me!\" I yelled, every fiber in my body filled with rage. I tried fighting against my binds for the first time in months. Unfortunatly, I couldn't even get them to budge. I couldn't escape. Not on my own.\nDoom's deep and amused chuckle rang through my head, fueling my anger even more.\n\"Don't even try to escape. Not even your Chaos abilities with help you out of this. If I were you, I wouldn't try anything at all. Didn't you have a soft spot for children? Who's to say that your body isn't already in the process of impregnating itself? If you let your anger go out of control, you'll be hurting your own flesh and blood before its even born.\" He warned me, reminding me that I could not fight back no matter how much I would want to right now.\nI listened to his words, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get this newfound feeling go. The thought of what Black Doom had planned once he deemed 'his army' large enough to waste just continued to haunt my mind. But it wasn't just that horrible thought that kept me from calming down. After months of feeling nothing but despair and hopelessness, anger was a much welcom change. As if automatically, I held onto the feeling and kept it from leaving.\nBlack Doom thought he had won, but he couldn't have been more wrong.\n'Just you wait Black Doom. This will not last. I will make sure you will not use any of my children in such a horrible way. I'll back down for now. But don't think you'll break me again.' I practically yelled in my mind. An angry, but determined, growl escaped from deep in my throat.\nSomehow Black Doom, with all his mental power and connection he shared with all of his spawns, had failed to hear my silent vow.\n\nSonic's POV\n\nAfter a nice, refreshing sleep, I was more than ready to face another day and search for the third emerald. Everything went according to plan so far. We already had two Chaos Emeralds and we had more than enough supplies to last us a couple of months. Now all we needed were the other five emeralds and then we could finally leave.\nI practically jumped out of bed and got dressed, filled with energy and ready to continue this search for the remaining Chaos Emeralds. But as I arrived downstairs in the kitchen, I noticed that not everyone shared my level of energy.\nRouge, who I had offered to stay until this new adventure of ours was over, was sitting at the breakfast table with a freshly-made cup of coffee. Amy was sitting there aswell, downing a slice of toast with jam. Tails was there aswell, but unlike the girls, he looked awful.\n\"Good morning, everyone! What's up with you, Tails? Spend all night working on the Tornado again?\" I asked as I grabbed a cup and poured myself some coffee. I never liked it when Tails worked on his inventions at night instead of getting the sleep he needed, but I with the good mood I was in now, I could hardly be mad at my lil' bro.\n\"I wanted to see if I could upgrade the engine to go faster. Turns out it wasn't as easy as I thought. Fortunatly, I was able to undo any changes before I really did something unreversable and the Tornado should still be able to fly normally.\" The kitsune yawned tiredly before taking another spoonfull of his cereal.\n\"You did? I didn't hear a thing.\" Rouge stated as she placed her cup down on the table. She was surprised to hear that Tails had been working in the middle of the night without disturbing any of us.\n\"Oh, Tails made his workshop soundproof.\" Amy explained to her. With how long she knew Tails and I, it was no surprise that she knew a thing or two about us. It was only natural, right?\n\"Oh, well, that makes sense.\" The bat answered her before taking another sip from her coffee.\n\"So? Everyone ready to search for the Chaos Emeralds?\" I asked after following Amy's example of making toast and taking my usual seat at the table.\n\"As ready as I'll ever be.\" Tails answered with a long yawn.\n\"Are you sure about that, bud? Don't you think it would be wiser to take a nap instead of flying in the Tornado thousand feet in the air while you're tired?\" I asked.\n\"That sounds like a better idea.\" Tails chuckled nervously, knowing that I was right.\nWe finished the rest of our breakfast talking about everyday stuff. Like how we were doing, what we were up to lately and how life was treating us. You know, just normal and daily stuff. But once that conversation and our breakfast was over, we quickly focused on the task at hand.\nOnce every trace of our breakfast had been cleaned, Tails refered us to his self-build computer where he pulled up a map.\n\"Tails, do you have any idea where the next Chaos Emerald might be?\" Rouge asked as she watched the map intently, as if trying to locate the gem's location by herself.\n\"Actually, I do. Some people working for the Station Square National Jewel Museum found a Chaos Emerald not to long ago. My guess is that the emerald is on display there right now. I was thinking of-\"\n\"Why isn't that convenient? I just so happen to be a master at 'borrowing' jewels from that particular museum.\" Rouge said, interrupting Tails mid-sentence.\nHe didn't seem to mind, though. If the kitsune was in any way annoyed by it, he sure was good at hiding it.\n\"Okay, great! But you have to keep in mind to get that emerald at G.U.N too.\" He told her.\nSo the powerhungry dicks at G.U.N have an emerald too? Somehow that doesn't surprise me.\n\"Oh, don't you worry, hun! I'll get that emerald in no time!\" Rouge assured him. Not that she needed too. We all knew that, if there was someone who could get any kind of jewel from a high security building, it was her.\nThat was what made her such a good spy. She was the best of the best! Despites her history as a thief, it was still no wonder that G.U.N hired her. You want information no matter how long forgotten it was? She was the person to call. Eggman might've found out about Shadow, but he had only scraped the surface. It was Rouge who ultimately found every little detail. You ask her something and she would never dissapoint.\nBut for the right price, of course. If you had money, that's cool. But if you had some real gorgouse jewelry lying around, you certainly had her attention.\n\"Where do I go?\" I asked. Rouge already had her assigned task and she already left, but I still didn't know where I needed to go next.\n\"Since Eggman was in the middle of retrieving a Chaos Emerald yesterday, I think he may be trying to collect them again. So he may have one already and that's why I was wondering if you could take a look at his base.\" Tails said. Yeah, that did seem like a good reason to pay good ol' Egghead a visit. And if there wasn't a Chaos Emerald, I could always trash his plans before he could even execute them.\n\"Sounds good! I'll be back before you know it!\" I shouted enthousiasticly as I left the house and sped down the road.\nTails and I had discovered Eggman's newest base a couple of months ago. We had found it completely on accident one day when taking the upgraded Tornado out for a testflight. I wanted to smash it along with all the schemes Eggman might've already prepared for the future, but Tails convinced me to leave it alone, telling me that, if Eggman were to attack again, we would have the advantage of knowing his current hideout and hit him were it hurts hard and faster than I could say 'super sonic second'!\nThat's why we had decided to leave him alone for the time being. But now times have changed and I need to strike quicker than previously thought. Sure, I could just quickly grab the emerald and make a run for it, but where's the fun in that? And I need to make sure the world is safe when I'm gone, right?\nA sonic boom barely registered in my mind as I was just too used to the sound. I wanted to enjoy the feeling of the wind rushing through my fur and quills, but only a second or two later I had to skid to a halt, knowing that I had probably arrived by the good ol' doctor's base.\nI smirked as I saw it up ahead. The third emerald was almost in my grasp.\n\nXOX\n\nThree full months passed after that moment and I had to admit that Black Doom had definitely not been lying when he said that my body would change. I could feel it. And not all these changes were good. In fact, in this situation every change was terrible. And the absolute horrific headache centered behind my ears wasn't the worst part.\nThe discomfort in my belly was.\nIf it wasn't for what Black Doom had in mind for me and all he had put me through already, I would be puzzled why that place felt so strange and uncomfortable. But since I have, the only conclusion my mind could come up with was that my womb could quite possibly be preparing itself to grow and sustain its own eggs.\nI guess that thought did make me a little sad. I mean, sure, I was already a year and two months here, but a part of me still believed that Sonic would come. If I were to ever return to Mobius, I don't think I will ever be able to live a normal life anymore. And it's not just to blame on the mental and physical trauma I received. If my body would produce its own eggs and most likely frequently, how was I going to take care of them all down on a planet that was already over-populated as it is?\nI'm immortal, after all. Not to mention that Black Doom hasn't told me if there was the possibility of a limit. And if I was to have eggs so often, I guess I can forget about marrying a nice guy or woman and starting a family. No one in their right mind would marry someone like me and bearing a living baby would be a virtually impossible feat for my body now.\nI sighed as these thoughts and ways of how to possibly solve them was making the constant headache I had even worse. But I couldn't help it! I needed to provide for my kids somehow, right? Not to mention that they all deserved a roof above their head like everyone else. They needed food aswell. All these problems needed a solution!\nThe more I thought about it, the harder it became. The pain became nearly unbearable. Not only was the pain situated behind my ears, it felt like the whole inside of my skulls was on fire. Like my brain was boiling in its own cerebrospinal fluid.\nIt hurt. It hurt so much. And there was no one or nothing that could give me any sort of relief. Willingly or unwillingly.\nI groaned and struggled against my tight bounds. It was only when I couldn't take the terrible headache anymore that I decided to try my best and let exhaustion claim me.\n\nSonic's POV\n\nI smirked as I sat by some rocks, partially hidden by them. This mountain region was the perfect location to hide such a large base for evil scheming, but it was futile for Tails and I had already found it before he even had the chance to do anything.\nI hadn't done anything back when we had found it to make sure we had a little bit of an advantage when Eggman decided to attack again. Unfortunatly, the advantage had to be given up in order to complete our quest for the Chaos Emeralds. But knowing the cause behind our quest made this little meaningless sacrifice all the more worthwhile.\nFor one last time I checked for any nearby robots. I tried to decide which road I should take. The quiet, sneaky one? Or maybe the more appropriate loud and explosive break in?\nI sighed as there was only one answer to that question, because for as much as I wanted to let Eggman know that I had found him and came to crash his little private party, I couldn't afford to get into too much trouble. On any other day I'd love to get in a little bit of trouble, but not now with Shadow's life possibly on the line.\nSo my decision was easily made.\nOnce I was certain that no threat was in sight, I came out of hiding and sped over to the shadows created by the large building. It wouldn't make the best hidingspot as it was still morning, but it would have to do as I searched for the entrance to this large contraption of a building.\nI zipped from shadow to shadow while avoiding detection as I scanned the outside of Eggman's dome of doom for an entrance. After a couple of rounds around the thing, I deduced that there was probably no obvious entrance for as far as I could see. That meant that the entrance could most likely be somewhere at the top of the dome. Piece of cake getting there with my speed, but it did open the possibility of getting detected by any one of the surveilling robots.\nSo I ran away, only stopping until I was quite a distant away from the base. I took one last look at the base to make sure there were no robotic enemies in my way before speeding back. I only skidded to a stop once I was on the very top of the thing. I took a look around me and noticed the wonderful view I had now from my current position. I couldn't help but admire it.\nNext I decided to look down at my feet and search for any kind of opening that could potentially lead me inside. I quickly noticed that there was a large circular platform right beneath my feet. It was divided in the middle, that meant this platform could open up to let something big fly through it, probably some kind of large machine knowing Eggman.\nSo all I had to do was sit around and wait for it to open up so I could finally get inside. No use trying to force myself inside as it would only alarm the builder of this thing. Luckily for me, Eggman's surveillance was only limited to the round level and somewhere in the middle of the dome, not high enough to see me. So I could stay and wait here for as long as I would like and Eggman wouldn't know until he came up here himself and saw me sit here with his own two eyes.\nKnowing it would probably take a long while, I took a seat next to the platform and tried to make myself comfortable, or for as much as that was possible on such a hard surface which was also hot as hell because of the burning summer sun, and waited.\n\nThe hours passed and soon enough afternoon had arrived. Or that was what it looked like because of how high the sun was in the sky and how hot it was. One look at my mobile phone confirmed that it was 13:42 in the afternoon.\nI sighed as I put the device away and laid my arm over my closed eyes to protect them from the sun. Some time ago I had decided to lie down instead of sitting up and looking out into the view, which I still hadn't really gotten sick off yet.\nGeez, if I knew that it was going to be this hot today, I would've made sure to come by at night. But of course, I don't always think that far. Not when my friends are involved atleast. I regret choosing the safer option. Had I decided to take the much louder road, I would've been at home with the third Chaos Emerald discussing with Tails about our next possible destination already.\nI jumped when I heard this strange sound coming from right behind me out of nowhere. I jumped to my feet as I saw that the circular platform had opened up. Fortunatly for me, the robots, which came as a pair just like yesterday, left with their backs turned to me, so they didn't notice me standing here.\nI quickly slipped inside before the entrance closed back up again.\nA sigh left my lungs as I felt this cool feeling overwhelm my body after the few hours spend in the hot sun. It was incredibly relieving to be this cool again. I hope I didn't get a sunburn while I was up there with no shade to protect me.\nMy eyes scanned my new surroundings and I quickly noted that I was currently in the hangar. That piece of information was useless to me other than the fact that I knew where my exit was, that is if I didn't make a new one in case I needed to make a quick escape.\nThere was a door up ahead. I approached it, but it seems like it was closed and judging by the keypad next to it, it needs a code in order to be opened. And that code was unknown to me.\nI sighed. It looks like I'll need to rely on coincidences in order to accomplish this mission. Geez, this was one of the worst possible missions ever. I didn't like them. It meant that I would have to rely on the enemy almost entirely. It was annoying as hell!\nAh well, can't back down now.\nAs if on cue, or just on coincidence, the doors suddenly opened to make way for a robot. My heart nearly stopped in my chest when I saw the metal being in front of me all of a sudden, but when I noticed that lack of weaponry on the thing I relaxed. This wasn't a surveillance or any other kind of weaponised robot. This was just a simple cleaning robot, nothing I should get worried about because, last time I checked, these things do nothing other than keep the place clean. They won't tattle on me to Robotnik, so I was in the clear.\nI quickly left the hangar while the door was still open. Now I found myself in a grey corridor, one that could not provide any cover for me in case I would cross paths with a robot which just so happened to be carrying a gun or two. In that case, I would gladly rely on my speed to get me out of that predicament.\nI passed hallway after hallway and door after door, but I had yet to find the room that contained the emerald I was looking for. At first, I just checked each room before I figured that this was probably a little reckless. So I pulled Tails' old CET from my pocket, since I still seemed to have the device with me, and looked at the small screen.\nThere didn't seem to be any Chaos Emeralds near my current position, so I guess I still had to sneak around the base until it finally detected something. It wasn't the fastest way to go about things, but it was definitely much less of a waste of time instead of checking every room I come across.\nThe sound of mechanical footsteps reached my ears, making me look behind me. A robot, one with weapons this time around, came strolling around the corner just as I dived out of the way. I sighed in relief as I had just avoided getting found by one of Eggman's bots. Had I heard that thing too late, I might've not been as lucky.\nAh, whatever, I need to get back on focussing on searching the Chaos Emerald.\nI crept from hallway to hallway for over an hour before I finally heard a beeping coming from the CET. Thankfully, the tracker came with a volume button, so I could lower it until it was barely audible. It made my job a little easier.\nAs the beeping came faster and faster the closer I came to the Chaos Emerald, I knew all of this waiting and creeping around was not for nothing. And as soon as I had the emerald, I could take the fast road out of here. Which was sprinting out of here at the speed of sound and destroying everything in my path. Getting into trouble wouldn't matter much once I had the emerald.\nThe beeping was almost a constant sound when I reached a large door that had the warning sign 'Keep Out' hung on it with big, fat letters. The sign probably served to scare intruders away from this place, but it wasn't so easy to scare me away.\nSo I entered. As expected, the Chaos Emerald was here. It was in some sort of round, glass container.\nHeh, this would easy.\nI had just set a few steps into the room when a deafening alarm began to blare. I cringed as the sound was much louder to Mobian's ears. It was so loud, that I was even forced to my knees with my hands covering my ears. It was a good thing Rouge wasn't here.\nMy eyes quickly scanned the walls and ceiling, trying desperatly to find the source of this horrendous noise. I was glad when I found a couple of megaphones hanging from the ceiling. I wasted no time in destroying them all and finally the blessed silence returned. Man, I never thought I'd ever be grateful for silence.\nNow that that alarm was dealt with, I quickly approached the glass container and prepared to spindash the Chaos Emerald out of there. Or that was what I had planned when a sudden set of heavy footsteps filled my ears.\nI turned to look into the direction where the sounds came from and saw this giant robot walk closer. It was armed to the teeth.\nAs it got me in sight, it took aim and fired. I smirked as it was easy for me, with my speed and fast reflects, to avoid the bullets. A giant, metallic robot was intimidating and hard to harm because of its thick armor, but incredibly slow because of its weight. And since I was quite literally the fastest thing alive, this fight should be a piece of cake.\nI avoided the rain of bullets as I ran around it to try and find this machine's weakspots. My smirk widened as I noticed a not-so-obvious one. Its thick armor covered its whole body except for the joints. They were left uncovered because if the armor was everywhere, it would be extremely difficult for it to move.\nThat was the weakspot of practically every heavily armored robot.\nSo the back of the joints was what I was going for, avoiding the bullets and the occasional rocket to get besides the slow robot and spindashing the inside of one of its elbows before going for the next one and cutting both of its forearms off along with the weapons on it.\nThe robot didn't care for its lost limbs and aimed for me with the weaponry on its shoulders. I couldn't get rid of those, but I could do something else. I ran behind it and went for the exposed back of the knees, spindashing right through the left one before going for the one on the right.\nThe robot, which literally didn't have a leg to stand on anymore, fell backwards and I had to jumped away to make sure I wouldn't get hit.\nNow that it was on the ground, there was only one thing left to do. I jumped up and formed a spindash mid-air and destroyed its visor. Finally the robot stopped moving. It was defeated.\nA smirk of victory appeared on my muzzle at the robot's defeat. I turned back to the glass container containing the Chaos Emerald, only to see that the glass had been broken during the short fight.\nI approached the shiny gem and picked it up. Now all I needed to do was escape and that's when the real fun begins.",

He wasn&#039;t so fond of the idea to leave his big giant rock behind on an even bigger flying rock.<br />&quot;Well, long story short; Tails has a spaceship in this secret hangar underneath our house and Amy and I want to use it to search the Black Comet and get Shadow back. But seeing has how those aliens gave us a hard time last time, we need all the help we can get. And that means you, Rouge, Omega and most likely the Chaotix aswell. So that&#039;s why we came here to ask you along.&quot; I couldn&#039;t help but take a breather after explaining all that in one breath and as quickly as I could.<br />Knuckles raised an eyebrow as he heard my explanation. It all seemed a bit too far-fetched to him.<br />&quot;It&#039;s true. If it makes you feel more comfortable you can take the Master Emerald with you. More power for the ship is always welcome.&quot; I tried convincing him.<br />The more help we got the better our chances were of getting Shadow back alive. That is, if he was still around after five years of whatever terrible things Black Doom had in mind for him. Part Black Arms or not, Daddy Doom didn&#039;t want his boy back because family was suddenly so important to him. If he cared at all, he wouldn&#039;t send nearly all his kids off to die for the sake of conquering a planet that he had deemed inferior.<br />&quot;Are you kidding me? We can&#039;t take the Master Emerald off Angel Island. If we do, than the whole island will end up crashing down on Mobius.&quot; Knuckles said, crossing his arms in front of his chest.<br />&quot;Okay, fine. We&#039;ll leave the emerald here, but you have to come along with us.&quot; I said, we really needed him with us.<br />&quot;I can&#039;t. It&#039;s noble of you to continue believing that we can still do something for Shadow, but my duty lies here on Angel Island. I have to protect the Master Emerald.&quot; He said, turning to look at that big shiny rock of his.<br />My fists clenched, but instead of fighting with him about it like usual, I turned around to walk back to the Tornade. Fighting now would be a huge waste of time. One that would certainly proof to be bad for Shadow.<br />That damn stubborn echidna! We had the chance to go up there and save one of our own! But no, he wanted to stay here and protect a big rock! Who was going to steal it? Eggman? Then we&#039;ll get that rock back as soon as we returned! Piece of cake!<br />&quot;He&#039;s not coming, is he?&quot; Tails asked as he watched me return to the Tornado. Dissapointment was written all over his face.<br />I shook my head and climbed up in my seat, Tails quickly followed my example. It was time to leave and go to the one person we should&#039;ve gone to as soon as Tails told us we could use that spaceship of his.<br />Rouge.<br /><br />It didn&#039;t take us long to fly over to the G.U.N headquarters. With Tails flying the Tornado, we were there in no time.<br />The headquarters of the military was our next stop as Rouge worked there as a goverment spy. Seeing as she was Shadow&#039;s best friend, we should&#039;ve gone to her and told her about our plan to go up into space. But instead of doing so, we had gone to see Knuckles first as Angel Island seemed like a good choice at first. He was one of our best friends, after all.<br />But that was none of our concern now. If Knuckles didn&#039;t want to come along to help a fellow friend out, than we weren&#039;t going to stick around and wait for him to change his mind either.<br />&quot;I think the Commander won&#039;t mind if we landed on their air strip.&quot; I said with a light smirk. G.U.N had always been a huge let down. Not to mention a pain in the butt, a fact that the whole world knew.<br />So when there was a chance to tease them, of course we would go for it. One would wonder if that would get us in trouble, but that was thankfully not the case as G.U.N often needed our help to fight against Eggman or any other villian who tried doing our world wrong.<br />Tails looked a bit uncertain at first as this was military territory, but quickly took his Tornado down for landing.<br />As soon as the plane&#039;s wheels touched the ground, I jumped out of my seat and jogged over to the main building of this military facility. Tails quickly followed after me once his plane&#039;s engine had stopped roaring.<br />&quot;Where do you think Rouge&#039;s office is?&quot; I asked as I walked passed several hallways and rooms. Several people watched us pass in surprise as they didn&#039;t expect a visit from us.<br />&quot;I don&#039;t know. Do you think we should ask around?&quot; Tails suggested.<br />&quot;Ask around for what?&quot;<br />We both turned around simultaneously to see the white bat we had been looking for standing there with a stack of papers in her arms.<br />&quot;Rouge! There you are! You need to come with us!&quot; I stated as I grabbed her arm and practically dragged her along with me back in to the way Tails and I came from. The papers she had been holding in her arms fell to the tiled floor, scattering all over the place.<br />Rouge seemed surprised at first, but once she realised what was going on she quickly pulled her arm back.<br />&quot;Sonic, where are you taking me?!&quot; Rouge demanded to know. She wasn&#039;t just going to let anyone take her where ever they pleased, especially if she didn&#039;t know where.<br />&quot;Sonic!&quot; She called my name in protest as I grabbed her arm and continued pulling her along.<br />&quot;Where do you think we&#039;re going? We&#039;re going to the Tornado! We&#039;re going to do something that should&#039;ve done five years ago. And that is saving our friend!&quot;<br /><br /><strong><span class='underline'><div class='align_center'>XOX</div></span></strong><br /><br /><em>&quot;You&#039;re so quiet. Don&#039;t tell me that you, the great Ultimate Lifeform, has been broken&quot; Black Doom mockingly stated as he had not heard me complain, yell, cry out in fear or whine out of pain and misery for days now. He was actually starting to get suspicious.<br />I pondered for a while, weither I should ask this question or not. It had been bothering me for weeks now. But if I really dared to ask it was something I had yet to decide.<br />&quot;Where are they?&quot; I asked.<br />The first time I woke up to find myself pregnant for the second time, my panic had distracted me from noticing that the eggs I had given birth to only hours prior were not there anymore. But as I got pregnant for the third time, I did notice that the second batch was missing aswell, which I didn&#039;t mind all that much. Not in the beginning.<br />When the fourth time came, I began to silently wonder what happened to my third cluster while I was passed out. By the end of my third pregnancy, I had actually started caring for the aliens my body incubated.<br />And now that I wake up to find myself pregnant for the fifth time, only hours after giving birth for the fourth time, and found that this cluster was missing aswell, I couldn&#039;t help but hurt inside.<br />One of the six womb chambers was completely empty and I was now carrying the first quarter of the second chamber. And knowing that Black Doom would only start considering releasing me out of this when all six chambers had been emptied or until I had replaced every soldier I had killed, the future didn&#039;t look good for me.<br />I was slowly losing my grip on time. But knowing that each pregnancy lasted five weeks and this was just the start of my fifth pregnancy, I had to have been here for roughly five months now.<br />Five months and still no sign of Sonic or Rouge. And I had already been raped and impregnated five times, given birth four times and got my children taken away from me every single time. The latter hurting the most as I had started caring for every single one of them by now.<br />Not to mention this constant isolation from every living being on this comet was taking a toll on me aswell. The only form of communication I had was the sexual molestation of the tentacles and Doom&#039;s voice mocking me for just about anything.<br />It hurt. Everything hurt. My body hurt. And mentally and emotionally I wasn&#039;t doing so good either. I felt the overwhelming urge to cry and my heart ached 24/7. There was not a single ounce of my pride left.<br />There was no denying that I was broken.<br />So far I had been able to handle everything. The Ark&#039;s raid, Maria and Gerald&#039;s death, years of experiments and abuse. They had broken me before, but I always found the strength and the energy to rise up again. Even if it was through anger. In fact, it was mostly through anger. But I didn&#039;t even feel that anymore. Instead I felt empty, hurt and sorrow.<br />&quot;They? You mean my offspring?&quot; Black Doom put extra emphasis on &#039;my&#039;. With the strange connection our mind shared, of course he knew that I had started seeing these eggs and the aliens growing within as my own. He was trying to hurt me even more by making sure that I knew &#039;my&#039; children were never mine to begin with. And I was just the vessel, an instrument, that would ensure a stronger survival to become stronger soldiers, used as a waste to destroy a whole planet.<br />&quot;Don&#039;t tell me you have started caring for them. Don&#039;t forget, you oblitared many of their brethren. Once they hatch and realise what you have done, their hatred for you will run deep and you will be nothing more than the womb they came from.&quot; The mocking tone at which he said those words didn&#039;t pain me as much as the meaning of the words themselves.<br />I closed my eyes and let my tears fall as the aching and sadness inside had become too much once again. Doom&#039;s dark and amused chuckling echoed in my mind for a long time before I was left completely alone again. Feeling worse off with my answer than I did beforehand.<br /></em><br /><strong><span class='underline'>Sonic&#039;s POV</span></strong><br /><br />Rouge just couldn&#039;t contain her happiness. She had practically raced faster than I could run to the Tornado as soon as she heard &#039;save&#039; and &#039;our friend&#039; in the same sentence. She had been the one to drag me over to my buddy&#039;s airplane and made me get in my seat quickly before sitting down on my lap. The blue Tornado only had two seats, but since she couldn&#039;t get to Tails&#039; workshop as fast as a plane, she decided to tag along like this, not caring that there wasn&#039;t exactly enough space with her sitting on my lap.<br />&quot;What about the Commander, though?&quot; I asked her. The guy replacing Commander Tower, while a little less uptight, could still be pretty strict.<br />&quot;Screw that guy! Shadow needs me!&quot; Rouge simply aswered while Tails hurriedly climbed up in his seat to start up the plane&#039;s engine and rapidly take of into the sky.<br /><br />&quot;So what&#039;s the plan?&quot; Rouge asked as she jumped out of the plane once the engine had stopped roaring. The five years of uncurable sadness, grief and guilt seemed to have dissapeared with the knowledge that we were finally going up to space to save Shadow.<br />&quot;Our plan is to get as much supplies as we can afford and to collect the Seven Chaos Emeralds to have some advantage when we have to fight Black Doom off.&quot; I explained&nbsp;&nbsp;while getting out of the plane myself as that was the general plan we currently had. But for as much as I wanted to kick that alien overlord&#039;s butt, if he had one under that dress of his, it would be nice if we got Shadow back home safe and sound with getting into unnecessary trouble.<br />&quot;Oh...&quot; Rouge simply responded as she entered my home after Tails had already gone inside. She would&#039;ve wanted to know more detail about the plan, but she was glad there was even a plan to begin with.<br />&quot;Oh hey, Rouge.&quot; Amy greeted her with a smile, which the bat returned.<br />&quot;So did you hear the good news?&quot; She asked, to which Rouge nodded.<br />&quot;Yes, I did. So what do we have already? Supplies? A Chaos Emerald?&quot; She asked.<br />&quot;Well, we have some supplies, but we were actually hoping you could help us search for the Chaos Emeralds with you being a treasure hunter and all.&quot; Tails said.<br />&quot;Of course I&#039;ll go look for those nice gems. I still have Shadow&#039;s at home so I&#039;ll be going back home to grab that quickly first.&quot; She said as she bolted out the front door right after.<br />&quot;Okay! Sonic will be looking for the emeralds too while Amy and I will go out and buy some more groceries!&quot; The kit yelled after her, seconds before the door slammed close, but if she heard anything at all was something we were left to wonder.<br />&quot;Rouge is right. We shouldn&#039;t waste any more time then we need too. Tails, do you know where one of the Chaos Emeralds could be?&quot; I asked.<br />&quot;I still have this old Chaos Emerald Tracker that I have upgraded a little. If you&#039;re close to an emerald, it should warn you.&quot; The kit said as he handed me one of his older devices. It was one that he had made to track down Chaos Emeralds. That&#039;s why it was called the CET, the Chaos Emerald Tracker. A pretty obvious name.<br />&quot;Okay, I&#039;ll be back as soon as I find an emerald.&quot; I said as I took the device and quickly ran out through the front door with the use of my famous speed.<br />I didn&#039;t plan on taking to long to search for the emeralds. Everyone worked as fast as they could. Because the faster we could go up to space, the faster we could get to Shadow.<br />That is, if we weren&#039;t already five years too late.<br /><br /><div class='align_center'><strong><span class='underline'>XOX</span></strong></div><br /><br /><em>I whined, yelped and cried out as contraction after contraction tore through my body. It was time. I had to give birth again. But this was not for the fifth time. Nor for the sixth time or the seventh. This was the eight time that I had to give birth. And to say that I wasn&#039;t looking forward to it, was an understatement.<br />It wasn&#039;t the thought of giving birth to alien eggs that turned me off, but it was the thought of them leaving me that I could not stand. I wanted them to stay with me. I didn&#039;t want them out of me. If they left the safety of my womb, they would surely be taken away again. And I don&#039;t think I can handle much more of these seperations.<br />&quot;No... Please... Don&#039;t leave me.&quot; I begged, but the urge to push began to overwhelm me. I knew I needed to push. Otherwise I don&#039;t think any of them will live for much longer.<br />Eventually, it was that thought that made me give in to my body&#039;s wishes and started to push along with the pain. Not much pushing was needed as given birth every five weeks had worn me out down there, making it much easier than the first time to push them out. Although, the birthing process was still accompanied with alot of pain.<br />&quot;No...... No....&quot; I panted as I felt the first egg slip out. I should be worried for my body&#039;s health now that they could slip out of me so easily, but found myself too concerned with the eggs leaving me instead.<br />The desperation Black Doom most likely sensed I was feeling, was probably amusing him to no end. He knew of my growing attachment and affection towards the aliens I was forced to incubate and loved every second of me missing the Black Arms larvae that had already left and loved every second of my fear that these ones will dissapear aswell.<br />I whined in pain as I felt the second egg slip out. I laid there panting for a couple of times until the next contraction came, telling me that number three was already on its way.<br />&quot;Not yet.... Not yet.&quot; I panted, desperation clinging to me as I suddenly changed my mind about giving birth. But because my body didn&#039;t get the time it needed to recover after each birth, I had no control over my actions and the eggs escaped me anyway.<br />&quot;Black Doom, please, don&#039;t let them leave me. Don&#039;t take them away!&quot; I begged as I felt the third one slip out aswell. Before all of this, I wouldn&#039;t have begged anyone for anything. Now I was different. Now I worried about the alien offspring that would soon grow into the soldiers I had eliminated countless of.<br />I hated Black Doom for doing this to me, but if begging atleast gave me a chance of keeping them with me, than so be it. And besides, it wasn&#039;t like I had any dignity left by now anyway.<br />Because of my resistance it had taken well over an hour before the last egg had been pushed out of me.<br />I was tired and just like the seven times before, I was close to passing out. I didn&#039;t even try to stay awake as I knew what was going to happen next and it was something I would rather not go through fully awake. So I closed my eyes and let my exhaustion take me.<br />But when I woke up a couple of hours later, I woke up to discover that my body hadn&#039;t been messed with by those tentacles and my belly wasn&#039;t as big as it should be.<br />I wasn&#039;t pregnant.<br /></em><br /><strong><span class='underline'>Sonic&#039;s POV</span></strong><br /><br />I had been running for a couple of hours now without finding a Chaos Emerald. It was late in the evening and I knew that we must have atleast one of the emeralds by now. Rouge did tell us that she was going to get Shadow&#039;s.<br />I was just about to turn back home and call it night if it weren&#039;t for the beeping that suddenly came from the device in my hand.<br />I looked down at the screen of the Chaos Emerald Tracker and saw a small red dot slowly but surely come closer to me.<br />The Chaos Emerald was moving? How?<br />As the red dot came closer and closer, but I didn&#039;t see it anywhere near me, I decided to look up to the night sky.<br />I smirked.<br />Two of Eggman&#039;s robots were flying overhead. And if I&#039;m not mistaken, one of them held a shiny, all powerful rock in his hands.<br />&quot;There you are.&quot; I stated to no one in particular. After nearly a whole day of searching I finally found one. And I didn&#039;t even need to search for it! It came right to me!<br />How do I get to it, though? They were way up there and I was way down here. I knew I couldn&#039;t get it from down here. I had to follow them back to Eggman&#039;s base. Once there I could easily take the emerald from them.<br />I watched them for a moment or two.<br />&#039;This should be a piece of cake.&#039; I thought with a smirk. With the speed they were going, it should be no problem to follow them.<br />That is, that would&#039;ve been the case if they didn&#039;t just randomly blow up out of nowhere.<br />&quot;What the...&quot; I muttered as I watched the two robots blow up. How did those robots explode at random? Did Eggman somehow do a very bad job at these? His robots usually don&#039;t just explode out of nowhere.<br />As I looked up, I knew what the cause behind the robots&#039; destruction was.<br />&quot;Hey, Tails!&quot; I shouted on the top of my lungs as I waved, although it was very unlikely that he could&#039;ve heard me. The Tornado slowly began to turn. Tails must be searching for a suitable landing spot. He must&#039;ve seen that those robots had a Chaos Emerald too.<br />I ran over to the heap of ruined robots and searched through the metal parts and cords for the emerald. It only took a moment before I found the blue glowing rock.<br />&quot;Hey, Sonic!&quot; And apparently it also took a moment for Tails to land and run toward me.<br />&quot;Hey, Tails! Any luck?&quot; I asked as I turned around to face him.<br />&quot;No, that emerald you&#039;re holding was the first one I came across.&quot; He admitted, clearly just as dissapointed as I was before I came across this one. Neither one of us were as succesful as we wanted to be. But hey! One Chaos Emerald was better than none, right? And I&#039;m pretty sure Rouge has already returned with Shadow&#039;s Chaos Emerald by now.<br />That was two emeralds down.<br />Five more to go.<br /><br /><strong><span class='underline'><div class='align_center'>XOX</div></span></strong><br /><br /><em>I was panicking.<br />Why wasn&#039;t I pregnant for the ninth time? Why aren&#039;t those tentacles enjoying themselves with my body? Was Black Doom planning something different? He loved my misery whilst I was pregnant, so why did he suddenly change that?<br />And the fact that I woke up every single day for a whole month with the same exact result only made me feel even worse.<br />Was I no longer of any use to him?<br />If so... Then what next?<br />Was he going to get rid of me?<br />&quot;Don&#039;t be ridiculous, Shadow.&quot; Black Doom&#039;s voice echoed in my mind. He had obviously sensed my distress.<br />&quot;Then why? I thought you loved having me so miserable while regenarating your army!&quot; I asked, my heart still beating furiously in my chest as I wasn&#039;t relieved in the slightest to hear that he wasn&#039;t planning on killing me after all.<br />&quot;Your DNA has been toyed with more than enough. Now it&#039;s time to see what kind of changes will occur.&quot; His voice told me.<br />After all that he had put me through, it didn&#039;t take me long to figure out for what exactly he modified my body for.<br />&quot;I see... So that&#039;s why you went so far to change me.&quot; I muttered as I stared up at the ceiling. I was no longer surprised at this discovery.<br />I wasn&#039;t surprised to find out that my punishment hadn&#039;t even begun either.<br />I mentally scolded myself for thinking that all I had to do to earn their forgiveness was carrying all those eggs in the spawn chambers to full term during my stay here. That wasn&#039;t my real punishment. That was just to modify my body, to make it adapt more to their DNA. Not in appearance or power, but on a reproductive level. He wanted my body to produce eggs unwillingly on its own.<br />That was my real punishment.<br />It was never about forcing these eggs into me and making me incubate them all. And that was why he chose this punishment.<br />&quot;You bastard!&quot; I yelled. The anger that had often helped me rise back up to my feet had finally flared back up at the horrible thought of having the lives of my own offspring thrown away like garbage just because this close-minded race with a superiority complex decided that I was the traitor for doing exactly what they did; protecting my homeplanet!<br />&quot;Even after all of this, you can still find it in yourself to fight? Impressive.&quot; Black Doom stated, genuinely impressed with the fact that I became angry instead of bawling and wailing until my voice broke like I had done before. He didn&#039;t think it was possible for me to do anything besides that.<br />&quot;You bastard! How dare you hurt innocent lives just to get to me!&quot; I yelled, every fiber in my body filled with rage. I tried fighting against my binds for the first time in months. Unfortunatly, I couldn&#039;t even get them to budge. I couldn&#039;t escape. Not on my own.<br />Doom&#039;s deep and amused chuckle rang through my head, fueling my anger even more.<br />&quot;Don&#039;t even try to escape. Not even your Chaos abilities with help you out of this. If I were you, I wouldn&#039;t try anything at all. Didn&#039;t you have a soft spot for children? Who&#039;s to say that your body isn&#039;t already in the process of impregnating itself? If you let your anger go out of control, you&#039;ll be hurting your own flesh and blood before its even born.&quot; He warned me, reminding me that I could not fight back no matter how much I would want to right now.<br />I listened to his words, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn&#039;t get this newfound feeling go. The thought of what Black Doom had planned once he deemed &#039;his army&#039; large enough to waste just continued to haunt my mind. But it wasn&#039;t just that horrible thought that kept me from calming down. After months of feeling nothing but despair and hopelessness, anger was a much welcom change. As if automatically, I held onto the feeling and kept it from leaving.<br />Black Doom thought he had won, but he couldn&#039;t have been more wrong.<br />&#039;Just you wait Black Doom. This will not last. I will make sure you will not use any of my children in such a horrible way. I&#039;ll back down for now. But don&#039;t think you&#039;ll break me again.&#039; I practically yelled in my mind. An angry, but determined, growl escaped from deep in my throat.<br />Somehow Black Doom, with all his mental power and connection he shared with all of his spawns, had failed to hear my silent vow.<br /></em><br /><strong><span class='underline'>Sonic&#039;s POV</span></strong><br /><br />After a nice, refreshing sleep, I was more than ready to face another day and search for the third emerald. Everything went according to plan so far. We already had two Chaos Emeralds and we had more than enough supplies to last us a couple of months. Now all we needed were the other five emeralds and then we could finally leave.<br />I practically jumped out of bed and got dressed, filled with energy and ready to continue this search for the remaining Chaos Emeralds. But as I arrived downstairs in the kitchen, I noticed that not everyone shared my level of energy.<br />Rouge, who I had offered to stay until this new adventure of ours was over, was sitting at the breakfast table with a freshly-made cup of coffee. Amy was sitting there aswell, downing a slice of toast with jam. Tails was there aswell, but unlike the girls, he looked awful.<br />&quot;Good morning, everyone! What&#039;s up with you, Tails? Spend all night working on the Tornado again?&quot; I asked as I grabbed a cup and poured myself some coffee. I never liked it when Tails worked on his inventions at night instead of getting the sleep he needed, but I with the good mood I was in now, I could hardly be mad at my lil&#039; bro.<br />&quot;I wanted to see if I could upgrade the engine to go faster. Turns out it wasn&#039;t as easy as I thought. Fortunatly, I was able to undo any changes before I really did something unreversable and the Tornado should still be able to fly normally.&quot; The kitsune yawned tiredly before taking another spoonfull of his cereal.<br />&quot;You did? I didn&#039;t hear a thing.&quot; Rouge stated as she placed her cup down on the table. She was surprised to hear that Tails had been working in the middle of the night without disturbing any of us.<br />&quot;Oh, Tails made his workshop soundproof.&quot; Amy explained to her. With how long she knew Tails and I, it was no surprise that she knew a thing or two about us. It was only natural, right?<br />&quot;Oh, well, that makes sense.&quot; The bat answered her before taking another sip from her coffee.<br />&quot;So? Everyone ready to search for the Chaos Emeralds?&quot; I asked after following Amy&#039;s example of making toast and taking my usual seat at the table.<br />&quot;As ready as I&#039;ll ever be.&quot; Tails answered with a long yawn.<br />&quot;Are you sure about that, bud? Don&#039;t you think it would be wiser to take a nap instead of flying in the Tornado thousand feet in the air while you&#039;re tired?&quot; I asked.<br />&quot;That sounds like a better idea.&quot; Tails chuckled nervously, knowing that I was right.<br />We finished the rest of our breakfast talking about everyday stuff. Like how we were doing, what we were up to lately and how life was treating us. You know, just normal and daily stuff. But once that conversation and our breakfast was over, we quickly focused on the task at hand.<br />Once every trace of our breakfast had been cleaned, Tails refered us to his self-build computer where he pulled up a map.<br />&quot;Tails, do you have any idea where the next Chaos Emerald might be?&quot; Rouge asked as she watched the map intently, as if trying to locate the gem&#039;s location by herself.<br />&quot;Actually, I do. Some people working for the Station Square National Jewel Museum found a Chaos Emerald not to long ago. My guess is that the emerald is on display there right now. I was thinking of-&quot;<br />&quot;Why isn&#039;t that convenient? I just so happen to be a master at &#039;borrowing&#039; jewels from that particular museum.&quot; Rouge said, interrupting Tails mid-sentence.<br />He didn&#039;t seem to mind, though. If the kitsune was in any way annoyed by it, he sure was good at hiding it.<br />&quot;Okay, great! But you have to keep in mind to get that emerald at G.U.N too.&quot; He told her.<br />So the powerhungry dicks at G.U.N have an emerald too? Somehow that doesn&#039;t surprise me.<br />&quot;Oh, don&#039;t you worry, hun! I&#039;ll get that emerald in no time!&quot; Rouge assured him. Not that she needed too. We all knew that, if there was someone who could get any kind of jewel from a high security building, it was her.<br />That was what made her such a good spy. She was the best of the best! Despites her history as a thief, it was still no wonder that G.U.N hired her. You want information no matter how long forgotten it was? She was the person to call. Eggman might&#039;ve found out about Shadow, but he had only scraped the surface. It was Rouge who ultimately found every little detail. You ask her something and she would never dissapoint.<br />But for the right price, of course. If you had money, that&#039;s cool. But if you had some real gorgouse jewelry lying around, you certainly had her attention.<br />&quot;Where do I go?&quot; I asked. Rouge already had her assigned task and she already left, but I still didn&#039;t know where I needed to go next.<br />&quot;Since Eggman was in the middle of retrieving a Chaos Emerald yesterday, I think he may be trying to collect them again. So he may have one already and that&#039;s why I was wondering if you could take a look at his base.&quot; Tails said. Yeah, that did seem like a good reason to pay good ol&#039; Egghead a visit. And if there wasn&#039;t a Chaos Emerald, I could always trash his plans before he could even execute them.<br />&quot;Sounds good! I&#039;ll be back before you know it!&quot; I shouted enthousiasticly as I left the house and sped down the road.<br />Tails and I had discovered Eggman&#039;s newest base a couple of months ago. We had found it completely on accident one day when taking the upgraded Tornado out for a testflight. I wanted to smash it along with all the schemes Eggman might&#039;ve already prepared for the future, but Tails convinced me to leave it alone, telling me that, if Eggman were to attack again, we would have the advantage of knowing his current hideout and hit him were it hurts hard and faster than I could say &#039;super sonic second&#039;!<br />That&#039;s why we had decided to leave him alone for the time being. But now times have changed and I need to strike quicker than previously thought. Sure, I could just quickly grab the emerald and make a run for it, but where&#039;s the fun in that? And I need to make sure the world is safe when I&#039;m gone, right?<br />A sonic boom barely registered in my mind as I was just too used to the sound. I wanted to enjoy the feeling of the wind rushing through my fur and quills, but only a second or two later I had to skid to a halt, knowing that I had probably arrived by the good ol&#039; doctor&#039;s base.<br />I smirked as I saw it up ahead. The third emerald was almost in my grasp.<br /><br /><strong><span class='underline'><div class='align_center'>XOX</div></span></strong><br /><br /><em>Three full months passed after that moment and I had to admit that Black Doom had definitely not been lying when he said that my body would change. I could feel it. And not all these changes were good. In fact, in this situation every change was terrible. And the absolute horrific headache centered behind my ears wasn&#039;t the worst part.<br />The discomfort in my belly was.<br />If it wasn&#039;t for what Black Doom had in mind for me and all he had put me through already, I would be puzzled why that place felt so strange and uncomfortable. But since I have, the only conclusion my mind could come up with was that my womb could quite possibly be preparing itself to grow and sustain its own eggs.<br />I guess that thought did make me a little sad. I mean, sure, I was already a year and two months here, but a part of me still believed that Sonic would come. If I were to ever return to Mobius, I don&#039;t think I will ever be able to live a normal life anymore. And it&#039;s not just to blame on the mental and physical trauma I received. If my body would produce its own eggs and most likely frequently, how was I going to take care of them all down on a planet that was already over-populated as it is?<br />I&#039;m immortal, after all. Not to mention that Black Doom hasn&#039;t told me if there was the possibility of a limit. And if I was to have eggs so often, I guess I can forget about marrying a nice guy or woman and starting a family. No one in their right mind would marry someone like me and bearing a living baby would be a virtually impossible feat for my body now.<br />I sighed as these thoughts and ways of how to possibly solve them was making the constant headache I had even worse. But I couldn&#039;t help it! I needed to provide for my kids somehow, right? Not to mention that they all deserved a roof above their head like everyone else. They needed food aswell. All these problems needed a solution!<br />The more I thought about it, the harder it became. The pain became nearly unbearable. Not only was the pain situated behind my ears, it felt like the whole inside of my skulls was on fire. Like my brain was boiling in its own cerebrospinal fluid.<br />It hurt. It hurt so much. And there was no one or nothing that could give me any sort of relief. Willingly or unwillingly.<br />I groaned and struggled against my tight bounds. It was only when I couldn&#039;t take the terrible headache anymore that I decided to try my best and let exhaustion claim me.<br /></em><br /><strong><span class='underline'>Sonic&#039;s POV</span></strong><br /><br />I smirked as I sat by some rocks, partially hidden by them. This mountain region was the perfect location to hide such a large base for evil scheming, but it was futile for Tails and I had already found it before he even had the chance to do anything.<br />I hadn&#039;t done anything back when we had found it to make sure we had a little bit of an advantage when Eggman decided to attack again. Unfortunatly, the advantage had to be given up in order to complete our quest for the Chaos Emeralds. But knowing the cause behind our quest made this little meaningless sacrifice all the more worthwhile.<br />For one last time I checked for any nearby robots. I tried to decide which road I should take. The quiet, sneaky one? Or maybe the more appropriate loud and explosive break in?<br />I sighed as there was only one answer to that question, because for as much as I wanted to let Eggman know that I had found him and came to crash his little private party, I couldn&#039;t afford to get into too much trouble. On any other day I&#039;d love to get in a little bit of trouble, but not now with Shadow&#039;s life possibly on the line.<br />So my decision was easily made.<br />Once I was certain that no threat was in sight, I came out of hiding and sped over to the shadows created by the large building. It wouldn&#039;t make the best hidingspot as it was still morning, but it would have to do as I searched for the entrance to this large contraption of a building.<br />I zipped from shadow to shadow while avoiding detection as I scanned the outside of Eggman&#039;s dome of doom for an entrance. After a couple of rounds around the thing, I deduced that there was probably no obvious entrance for as far as I could see. That meant that the entrance could most likely be somewhere at the top of the dome. Piece of cake getting there with my speed, but it did open the possibility of getting detected by any one of the surveilling robots.<br />So I ran away, only stopping until I was quite a distant away from the base. I took one last look at the base to make sure there were no robotic enemies in my way before speeding back. I only skidded to a stop once I was on the very top of the thing. I took a look around me and noticed the wonderful view I had now from my current position. I couldn&#039;t help but admire it.<br />Next I decided to look down at my feet and search for any kind of opening that could potentially lead me inside. I quickly noticed that there was a large circular platform right beneath my feet. It was divided in the middle, that meant this platform could open up to let something big fly through it, probably some kind of large machine knowing Eggman.<br />So all I had to do was sit around and wait for it to open up so I could finally get inside. No use trying to force myself inside as it would only alarm the builder of this thing. Luckily for me, Eggman&#039;s surveillance was only limited to the round level and somewhere in the middle of the dome, not high enough to see me. So I could stay and wait here for as long as I would like and Eggman wouldn&#039;t know until he came up here himself and saw me sit here with his own two eyes.<br />Knowing it would probably take a long while, I took a seat next to the platform and tried to make myself comfortable, or for as much as that was possible on such a hard surface which was also hot as hell because of the burning summer sun, and waited.<br /><br />The hours passed and soon enough afternoon had arrived. Or that was what it looked like because of how high the sun was in the sky and how hot it was. One look at my mobile phone confirmed that it was 13:42 in the afternoon.<br />I sighed as I put the device away and laid my arm over my closed eyes to protect them from the sun. Some time ago I had decided to lie down instead of sitting up and looking out into the view, which I still hadn&#039;t really gotten sick off yet.<br />Geez, if I knew that it was going to be this hot today, I would&#039;ve made sure to come by at night. But of course, I don&#039;t always think that far. Not when my friends are involved atleast. I regret choosing the safer option. Had I decided to take the much louder road, I would&#039;ve been at home with the third Chaos Emerald discussing with Tails about our next possible destination already.<br />I jumped when I heard this strange sound coming from right behind me out of nowhere. I jumped to my feet as I saw that the circular platform had opened up. Fortunatly for me, the robots, which came as a pair just like yesterday, left with their backs turned to me, so they didn&#039;t notice me standing here.<br />I quickly slipped inside before the entrance closed back up again.<br />A sigh left my lungs as I felt this cool feeling overwhelm my body after the few hours spend in the hot sun. It was incredibly relieving to be this cool again. I hope I didn&#039;t get a sunburn while I was up there with no shade to protect me.<br />My eyes scanned my new surroundings and I quickly noted that I was currently in the hangar. That piece of information was useless to me other than the fact that I knew where my exit was, that is if I didn&#039;t make a new one in case I needed to make a quick escape.<br />There was a door up ahead. I approached it, but it seems like it was closed and judging by the keypad next to it, it needs a code in order to be opened. And that code was unknown to me.<br />I sighed. It looks like I&#039;ll need to rely on coincidences in order to accomplish this mission. Geez, this was one of the worst possible missions ever. I didn&#039;t like them. It meant that I would have to rely on the enemy almost entirely. It was annoying as hell!<br />Ah well, can&#039;t back down now.<br />As if on cue, or just on coincidence, the doors suddenly opened to make way for a robot. My heart nearly stopped in my chest when I saw the metal being in front of me all of a sudden, but when I noticed that lack of weaponry on the thing I relaxed. This wasn&#039;t a surveillance or any other kind of weaponised robot. This was just a simple cleaning robot, nothing I should get worried about because, last time I checked, these things do nothing other than keep the place clean. They won&#039;t tattle on me to Robotnik, so I was in the clear.<br />I quickly left the hangar while the door was still open. Now I found myself in a grey corridor, one that could not provide any cover for me in case I would cross paths with a robot which just so happened to be carrying a gun or two. In that case, I would gladly rely on my speed to get me out of that predicament.<br />I passed hallway after hallway and door after door, but I had yet to find the room that contained the emerald I was looking for. At first, I just checked each room before I figured that this was probably a little reckless. So I pulled Tails&#039; old CET from my pocket, since I still seemed to have the device with me, and looked at the small screen.<br />There didn&#039;t seem to be any Chaos Emeralds near my current position, so I guess I still had to sneak around the base until it finally detected something. It wasn&#039;t the fastest way to go about things, but it was definitely much less of a waste of time instead of checking every room I come across.<br />The sound of mechanical footsteps reached my ears, making me look behind me. A robot, one with weapons this time around, came strolling around the corner just as I dived out of the way. I sighed in relief as I had just avoided getting found by one of Eggman&#039;s bots. Had I heard that thing too late, I might&#039;ve not been as lucky.<br />Ah, whatever, I need to get back on focussing on searching the Chaos Emerald.<br />I crept from hallway to hallway for over an hour before I finally heard a beeping coming from the CET. Thankfully, the tracker came with a volume button, so I could lower it until it was barely audible. It made my job a little easier.<br />As the beeping came faster and faster the closer I came to the Chaos Emerald, I knew all of this waiting and creeping around was not for nothing. And as soon as I had the emerald, I could take the fast road out of here. Which was sprinting out of here at the speed of sound and destroying everything in my path. Getting into trouble wouldn&#039;t matter much once I had the emerald.<br />The beeping was almost a constant sound when I reached a large door that had the warning sign &#039;Keep Out&#039; hung on it with big, fat letters. The sign probably served to scare intruders away from this place, but it wasn&#039;t so easy to scare me away.<br />So I entered. As expected, the Chaos Emerald was here. It was in some sort of round, glass container.<br />Heh, this would easy.<br />I had just set a few steps into the room when a deafening alarm began to blare. I cringed as the sound was much louder to Mobian&#039;s ears. It was so loud, that I was even forced to my knees with my hands covering my ears. It was a good thing Rouge wasn&#039;t here.<br />My eyes quickly scanned the walls and ceiling, trying desperatly to find the source of this horrendous noise. I was glad when I found a couple of megaphones hanging from the ceiling. I wasted no time in destroying them all and finally the blessed silence returned. Man, I never thought I&#039;d ever be grateful for silence.<br />Now that that alarm was dealt with, I quickly approached the glass container and prepared to spindash the Chaos Emerald out of there. Or that was what I had planned when a sudden set of heavy footsteps filled my ears.<br />I turned to look into the direction where the sounds came from and saw this giant robot walk closer. It was armed to the teeth.<br />As it got me in sight, it took aim and fired. I smirked as it was easy for me, with my speed and fast reflects, to avoid the bullets. A giant, metallic robot was intimidating and hard to harm because of its thick armor, but incredibly slow because of its weight. And since I was quite literally the fastest thing alive, this fight should be a piece of cake.<br />I avoided the rain of bullets as I ran around it to try and find this machine&#039;s weakspots. My smirk widened as I noticed a not-so-obvious one. Its thick armor covered its whole body except for the joints. They were left uncovered because if the armor was everywhere, it would be extremely difficult for it to move.<br />That was the weakspot of practically every heavily armored robot.<br />So the back of the joints was what I was going for, avoiding the bullets and the occasional rocket to get besides the slow robot and spindashing the inside of one of its elbows before going for the next one and cutting both of its forearms off along with the weapons on it.<br />The robot didn&#039;t care for its lost limbs and aimed for me with the weaponry on its shoulders. I couldn&#039;t get rid of those, but I could do something else. I ran behind it and went for the exposed back of the knees, spindashing right through the left one before going for the one on the right.<br />The robot, which literally didn&#039;t have a leg to stand on anymore, fell backwards and I had to jumped away to make sure I wouldn&#039;t get hit.<br />Now that it was on the ground, there was only one thing left to do. I jumped up and formed a spindash mid-air and destroyed its visor. Finally the robot stopped moving. It was defeated.<br />A smirk of victory appeared on my muzzle at the robot&#039;s defeat. I turned back to the glass container containing the Chaos Emerald, only to see that the glass had been broken during the short fight.<br />I approached the shiny gem and picked it up. Now all I needed to do was escape and that&#039;s when the real fun begins.</span>",
