"description": "This is surely more common than some would like to believe.\n__________________________________________________________________________________\n\nThis is one of those things I had in my head for a little while and had to do something with eventually. The key point was the dialogue, but I figured the pokémon pictured would be an espeon since it'd be an easy new thing to draw (and not confused with Vi like an umbreon would be; I should specify what her parents actually are at some point).\n\nThen I fortuitously came across someone else depicting an espeon as the offspring of a pokémon and non-pokémon, so I figured that little coincidence merited celebration by dropping what I was working on and putting this together. I normally work way too slowly to be able to draw anything on impulse to sate a mood or utilize any sudden “inspiration,” but it feels kind of rewarding to have managed to make this in one (longer than usual) sitting to achieve precisely that. Turns out drawing stuff can feel pretty good when it's not a painfully drawn out process.\n\nThe first shot at an espeon was a moderate success, I think. It's identifiable, at least. I did want to make it a little slimmer than you usually see with Vi or the sylveon I've drawn a few times, but the whole “very pregnant” thing kind of works against that, so I'm not sure whether I pulled it off. The limbs definitely didn't turn out any slimmer. I'm authentically happy with the expression, though, and while it's a little lazily done (it's a simple sketch, after all) I'd like to imagine people can tell from the faded/wobbly text that it's supposed to be communicated telepathically (which I've somehow never depicted despite drawing pokémon capable of that before). I'm not sure why I find it more fitting for an espeon, but I also made the eyes a little more accurate to the official design instead of giving them the whole sclera-iris-pupil combo that I've used on every other character, eveelutions included. Maybe something about the whole “psychic” thing makes unusual eyes feel more appropriate. The pose turned out alright, too, I think, though I admit I never really figured out what my logic was behind it. Suggestively bending over while lifting one paw to bare her belly, I guess. Speaking of which, it always feels kind of weird to me drawing pregnant ferals at anything but massive sizes.\n\nI hope some of the enthusiasm comes through in this little spur-of-the-moment piece, anyways.",
