Still, though, I think the setting's an important component of what I'm trying to do here.\n\nI admittedly had a little trouble getting through this one, I think mostly because I kept running into spells of multiple days of little to no work on it, which made it harder to get back into. That might have something to do with the pose not turning out quite as convincing as I hoped, too. It's the pose I wanted in the most literal sense, but the most subtle aspects of it, the ones that make the difference between a pose actually looking natural or not, are the ones that make me really like a piece when they show up. I think it's her weight distribution not completely making sense here, nor her hands cradling her belly in quite the right way. A little disappointing for me, because natural posing is one of the most important parts of the kind of “candidness” I'm trying for here.\n\nThere's this funny thing about breasts and pregnancy for me, which is that I'm never as happy with how breasts look in situations like this one. Art that I find [i]really[/i] enticing just from breasts alone usually has them large and visibly heavy against the flat surface of the character's torso, often showing them a from a little bit of a low angle or having them parted a little. With pregnancy, though, they end up resting on the belly, which I never like as much for some reason. Fortunately, I often like the belly itself anyways, so I just shift my attention to that instead.
