I naturally needed to get some practice drawing bigger things, so I went with something fairly large to see if I could really do it. Training myself to draw the same design multiple times is also a necessity, given that I have recurring characters, so the succubus from [url=https://inkbunny.net/s/1221000]a long while back[/url] made a reappearance. I didn't realize until much too late that her wings would cover things I wanted visible, though, so I just implied something happened to them at some point (life is hard for a demon). It's not necessarily the same succubus, in any case, so continuity isn't a concern here.\n\nI'm spending enough time with pencil and paper that I'm starting to notice the differences in capabilities of each. There are obvious things like colour, but making anything smooth is fairly difficult, too, for instance, and any dialogue has to be handwritten. I'm actually kind of disappointed that I probably won't be able to make text like this on a digital canvas, because I do like how my writing turns out on paper. Similarly, though, I had to rely on different techniques than usual to show strain in the belly. I tried to mimic the usual dark lines I include, but the red gradient is effectively impossible to replicate, so I took some inspiration from an artist working in similar subject matter and tried out some faint veins. It's not something I'd intend to incorporate into my coloured pieces, but it works well for this medium. I'm going to have to keep these differences in mind for the workflow I have planned, though, because if I'm going to go over a sketch digitally, I'll have different techniques available to me, and I don't want to stick myself into a corner trying to depict something that's not appropriate for the medium.\n\nAs for the scenario itself, there's a bit more vitriol involved than usual, but that feels appropriate for a demon anyways.
