This is the first full piece I've put together with a new program, Krita, instead of Photoshop, which I've used my entire time here until now. My reasons for switching over are somewhat varied, but switching to something new always brings new surprises good and bad alike. As for what this squirrel girl has to do with this, Krita's mascot is a white squirrel girl as well, but I didn't want to draw porn of an existing character, so I decided to simply incorporate more of a symbolic reference.\n\nI didn't, strictly speaking, try much new this time since I just wanted to get the hang of Krita. As far as I can tell, there isn't really much obvious difference in the end result. Krita has crisper lines, but I was already doubling up on the ink layer in Photoshop to get a similar effect. Krita also handles the mixing of black with different colours better, maintaining their saturation, so I don't have to make manual adjustments to that anymore (though that probably still means that the shading looks ever so slightly different on different colours now). I guess the paint on her belly is something new both in terms of kink and in terms of style, and I actually did most of the shading on it with layer styling, but I'm not sure how it turned out. Ideally, I'd do that by hand, but I actually ended up rushing it at the end so I could upload this tonight because I had forgotten to add it. Probably won't come up again anyways, though, so I won't worry too much about how to address it. I also did something small, trying to give the girl more \"squirrely\" proportions by making her head a bit bigger, but it just ended up looking weird next to me with more reasonable proportions, I think, so I'll probably discard that idea for the future. In the end, this did end up taking a pretty bloody long time, nearly 21 hours, but I think that's unfortunately fairly normal for a piece involving two characters for me nowadays. Hoping I'll be able to pick up the pace a bit now with the help of Krita's better handling of paths, though.",
