The biggest change aside from that is the introduction of hard shading on top of the soft shading. I always thought of shadows as being one or the other, but I saw a few artists that did both and I loved how it looked. I used to lament that moving away from hard shading took away from the toon-y look I had always wanted my art to have, too (which the thick lines were a part of), so I'm really happy to have reclaimed it. Somehow, the two kinds of shading look wonderful on top of each other.\n\nIn terms of how all the rest turned out, I think it's well enough. Lazy background, but it's justified by being the same bed she was on in the first image. I need to work on shadows (the ones underneath the characters, not on them), but this one was decent enough. I think all the lineart turned out well enough, too, maybe aside from her left breast. I think it's mostly the shading being just a little off on that one, though, not so much the lineart.\n\nI'll certainly be happy to keep using this style from now on, but it takes a little bit more time, too.
