"description": "With her ability to climb taking care of Gem can be a handful, and while Snow is obedient his curiosity often gets him into mischief. But Blankit could often be counted on to play with the little ones and keep them out of trouble. So when Seven and Dan asked Paul if he would be OK watching the cubs by himself while they picked up groceries for tonight’s party Paul agreed.\n\nIt had been a busy day cleaning and preparing for the party so Paul thought he would relax for a bit and watch the cubs play. Soon it would be time to put Gem and Snow to bed, and only having to watch Blankit would be a breeze. But the comfy couch and all that work caused him to nod off. \n\nWhile he slept the cubs interests changed from the toys and games they had been playing.\n\nGem glanced at the Christmas Tree and her instinct to climb kicked in, plus there was a pretty star up there and she wanted to touch it. She waded through the presents and started to climb, knocking off ornaments as she went.\n\nUnsurprisingly Snow found himself drawn to the Christmas stockings above the fireplace. There was no way he could climb the fireplace, but the bookshelf next to it made for a convenient ladder. The little bear knocked books off as he went to make room for hand and foot holds.\n\nBlankit got into some mischief of her own. Paul had cleverly hidden the finger paints before she arrived to avoid a repeat of her visit a few months ago, when she painted a mural on the playroom wall. But her love of arts and crafts drove her ingenuity, and she wondered if an art project could be done with ribbons? But first she would need a supply of ribbons, so she started removing them from the gifts.\n\nWhen Dan and Seven returned they almost dropped the groceries in surprise at what they saw. The top of the tree was bent over from the weight of Gem sleeping on it. Snow was asleep under the tree and wearing a Christmas stocking on each leg and a 3rd on his head like a night cap. Almost every present had been unwrapped or was at least missing its ribbons, but it was easy to see where they had gone. Blankit was tying one into a bow on Paul’s tail, and the rest were in similar bows all over Paul’s mane.\n\nSeven sighed, “I’ll put the cubs to bed.
