What is lesser known is that when there aren't any females to mate with in the area, males will pair up with one another. On rare occasion, male werewolves will forge a bond so strong in these desperate times that they come to prefer each other's attention to even that of the most fertile suitors. When first we started observing these two specimen, they were both the most virile and prolific breeders of their respective packs. Only 3 months ago they were rescued having fought each other to the brink of death for territory. A month passed and our technicians noticed a change in their behaviors. Every other night they would press their backs against the Plexiglas wall that separated them and they would howl and breath deeply, eventually growing tumescent from the pheromones they put off. As their wounds began to heal we introduced \"teaser females\" to correct the behavior. While initially the teasers did grab their attention, the effect wasn't what we expected. Instead of gravitating toward the females, the males grew emboldened. By the time their release was scheduled they had moved on to openly \"frotting the wall\". We released them separately to their packs, but they quickly found each other. For the most part they ignore the females in their pack now, preferring instead to mate with one another. Worth noting is they frequency at which they mate.
