They have no body pattern or personality, acting something similar to a drone. Soon after hatching, they will levitate and begin searching for a gel species to be their host. Upon locating a suitable host, the gyvalt will bring themselves near it and communicate with it, offering to be it's symbiote. If it's accepted, it will revert into gel and merge with the host, the host sharing it's mind and experiences with the gyvalt before it exits and reforms, gaining a pattern with elements from the host. It also develops a personality, drawing in elements from the host's own and forming them in a way that would make it best compatible with them. In the case of Resh, he became entirely subservient, extremely eager to please, and easily 'excitable'. \n\nThe gyvalt assists it's host in whatever task they need in exchange for safety and food sharing.
