If he doesn't he can't fight off Clan Fullmoon or whatever the monster of the week that the group is going up against and if they kill him, well... he made a pact with a demon. If he dies he goes straight to Hell, no passing go and no collecting $200.\n\nMerihim is amoral and tends to do whatever he wants when he's in charge, mostly because it's amusing for him, though he doesn't outright attack Arja or the others... yet.
