With their eyes like saucers and their jaws dropped, Ramsay and Reggie were simply astonished by the sight before them. Ramsay stared deep into Buster’s shaking eyes as he could only stare back. It didn't take long for Meera to realize the tension developing right before her.\n\n “Meera, what is he doing here?” asked Ramsay lowly.\n\n Meera’s brows furrowed in confusion, “You know him?”\n\n “Yes, Reggie knows him too. Isn't that right, Reggie?” Asked Ramsay. As the three looked over, Reggie had hot steam escape his nostrils, and his teeth gritted.\n\n “Y-you rapscallion! You thieving vermin!” Reggie struggled to utter. “Maybe the Tramp did teach you a lesson well enough, but I'll make sure you remember for sure!” He inched closer and closer to Buster and Meera. Just before Reggie could pounce, Ramsay leaped in between them and held Reggie back.\n\n Becoming overwhelmed, Buster began to walk backwards towards the entrance and said, “I think I'll step out and let you all enjoy your reunion, I'll catch ya around Meer-”\n\n “No, no, just give him a moment,” grunted Ramsay as the two mighty dogs struggled pushing to and from Meera and Buster. “He’ll calm down in a moment right, Reggie?” The struggle slowed as Reggie regained his composure. Finally, he relented and trudged away grousing before finally plopping down and chewing on a can of chicken on the other side of the alleyway.\n\n With that, Ramsay turned to his daughter and her unwelcomed guest. With a deep breath, and a hope to keep his sanity from the odd turn of events, finally he spoke.\n\n “Meera, what are you doing with him?” he said suppressing his scowl.\n\n “H-he was starving under a mountain of garbage! What was I supposed to do?!” Meera shot back.\n\n Regaining his confidence in the heat of the moment, Buster’s clever smirk returned as well as his tall poise. Proudly, he trotted between Meera and her gargantuan father. Without missing a beat, Buster returned Ramsay’s deep gaze from earlier. Questioning whether his own actions were out of stupidity or true bravado, he brazenly said, “Whoa, there! Ramsay, baby, you gotta take it easy on your daughter, here! Ya see, I'm a changed dog; any history we had in the past, is just that: in the past. Certainly, you wouldn't hold a grudge because of a honest pup’s mistakes, would ya?”\n\n “Even if I were to believe such trite, how, could you possibly account for your actions in using a pup to break into Reggie’s home, steal from him, and get Reggie caught by the dog catcher?” questioned Ramsay with burning eyes.\n\n “Well, I, uh-”, Buster choked.\n\n “Jeez, did you really do all that, Buster?”, asked Meera, taken aback.\n\n “Aw, come on, it wasn’t anything personal-”\n\n “I’m sure the Tramp and his pup would disagree.” unrelented Ramsay.\n\n “You sent in the Tramp’s kid?! I thought you took him under your wing!” demanded Meera.\n\n “I didn’t know then!” insisted Buster.\n\n “Doubtful. I am almost certain the reason the Tramp’s son met with Reggie again in the pound was because of you.” sneered Ramsay.\n\n “Now wait just a minute! I didn't see Reggie take it easy on the kid! Besides, he had no reason to be out here, he was a house dog and I wasn't about to lose my hide over him. But-but you know what? I can tell when I'm not wanted somewhere, so I bid you good day, sir!” gruffed Buster presumptuously. And just like that, he trotted out of the alleyway head held high, without even glancing back. After a couple moments, Ramsay broke the silence.\n\n “Meera, I want you to stay away from him. He’s not someone that you can trust.” Ramsay huffed shortly.\n\n “I get it, Dad,” sighed Meera, “I just feel bad for him. He doesn't seem like someone who truly does things out of sheer malevolence.”\n\n “Even so, that wouldn't excuse his actions, which he continues to actively make.” said Ramsay softly to his daughter.\n\n “But surely, you and uncle Reggie, made more than a few mistakes in your lives? Certainly, Mom forgave you for a few of your mishaps?” At that, Meera could've sworn she saw a flicker of some unknown emotion in her father's eyes, but before she could read him it quickly vanished.\n\n “... While I can understand that, Meera, I don't want you to go fall for his charismatic facade and become his lackey. Nor do I want you to fail and feel as if it was your fault, especially when you owe him nothing. I just don't want you to get hurt.”\n\n “You could give me a little more credit than that, Dad!” Meera replied with her tongue out.\n\n “Well,” chuckled Ramsay, “you are an adult... it’s in your paws now.”\n\n With a short pause to clear her thoughts, Meera’s verdict became clear. “I’ll catch up with you and uncle Reggie later, I'm going to go talk to him.”\n\n “We’ll be here. Remember, Reggie and I want to visit with you too. Don't leave us waiting.” Ramsay smiled.\n\n “I won't! I promise, I'll be back!” she called as she galloped out of the alley.\n\n “You spoil her, you know.” said Reggie as he crawled to Ramsay still chewing a can.\n\n “You don't get it, Reggie.” replied Ramsay as he watched his daughter run out of the alleyway. “When you see the passion in your child’s eye, you can't just snuff it out.”\n\n “I think that's because you never say no to that girl. She walks all over you.” smirked Reggie.\n\n “Maybe if you had control of your temper, you'd find someone to have pups with, then you’d understand.” Ramsay retorted slyly.\n\n “Oh, shush and lets get some food already.”\n----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------\n\nThe temptation to redraw a few of these older pics grows stronger.
