The rising sun makes its way over the moss green hills and shines its light around the cloudless sky, marking the start of another morning for mystery dungeon guilds across the globe. “Mmmm…just five more minutes….” Lightning squirms on his small bed of hay as sunlight strikes through the windows of his wooden cove, wanting to salvage all the sleep he can get before having to do his daily duties of dungeon exploration. Unfortunately, those unrelenting rays of radiance don’t seem to care all too much about the Pikachu’s slumber, brightening and brightening by the second until their light eventually envelops the entirety of the cove. “Nggg…well…so much for sleeping in…” Lightning mumbles as he slowly starts to wake up, opening his blue and green pair of eyes and rolling out of his makeshift bed. After giving his little body a good stretch and putting his customary blue bandana around his neck, Lightning walks outside and meets up with the guild leader, an Alolan Raichu by the name of Alex. “Good morning to you, Lightning! I assume you’re ready for your assignment, yes?” Alex asks him. “Yep! What’s on the agenda, Alex?” Lightning responds. “I’d like you to explore any area of your choice in search of treasure and other essential supplies you find along the way.” says the Raichu. “Well then, it looks like I’ve got my work cut out for me today!” he says back. “Indeed you do! Lucky for you though, I’ve absolved you from an additional assignment, so your day shouldn’t be too difficult!” Alex says with a wide smile. “Hm? What exactly do you mean by that?” Lightning asks with a confused expression. “Well, I was also going to put you on berry collecting duty, but since you’re not actually tall enough to reach the branches of those berry trees, you’re off the hook! Convenient, is it not?” Alex says with a little laugh. “Very funny, Alex…” says the Pikachu with a heavy dose of sarcasm; even if his shorter stature conveniently allowed him to lessen his workload from time to time, Lightning didn’t exactly like having others point out his height, as he was well aware of the fact that he was rather short relative to the rest of his fellow guild members. “Heh, I’m just playing around! Figured I’d lighten up the mood before a hard day of work!” says the Alolan Raichu with another playful laugh. “Anywho, best of luck on your assignment! I’ll see you around!” he then waves and flashes another wide smile at Lightning. Lightning nods and waves back at Alex before taking his leave, walking along the vast grasslands and searching far and wide for treasure and supplies. Unfortunately, in spite of the several minutes he spent exploring the area, his search had yet to yield any substantial findings, as outside of a single gold coin he found on the ground, he hadn’t discovered anything else of interest. “Shoot. Can’t seem to find any supplies around here.” Lightning says to himself, though he wasn’t going to be discouraged by this bout of bad luck. “Well then, I guess I’m gonna have to go farther.” The bandana-clad Pikachu keeps his head high and continues traversing through the grassy terrain, keeping his eyes peeled for any essential supplies. Minute by minute goes by as Lightning explores the extent of this expansive environment, though once again his search yields no noteworthy findings. “Come on…there’s gotta be….something else I can find…” he says in between breaths of exhaustion, feeling his feet grow tired from several miles worth of walking as beads of sweat drip down his face. However, just when he thought the entirety of his efforts would be in vain, Lightning is finally met with a more fortunate set of circumstances. After walking along the grasslands for a little longer, he spots a small town stocked with shops and other kinds of facilities. “Heh…guess I won’t be leaving empty-handed after all.” says the Pikachu with a satisfied smile, glad to find a place where he can stock up on some supplies. “I may not have a lot of money on hand at the moment, but I should be able to make good use out of that gold coin I found.” Now feeling far more confident about his circumstances, Lightning briskly walks out of the grasslands and into the town area, though as the Pikachu makes his way there, he quickly notices that the light blue skies had now been covered by clouds of gray, indicating the start of some kind of rainstorm. “Huh, I don’t remember it getting so-“ Before he can even finish that sentence, the cloudy skies suddenly decide to unleash a heavy downpour around the area, as if to give Lightning another bout of bad luck before the end of his exploration. “-cloudy…” he concludes his statement with a sigh of exasperation, not feeling too fond over this abrupt change in the weather. “Well, at least I’ll actually be able to get some goods for the guild, though I can’t exactly say the walk back will be all that enjoyable.” Feeling his body start to shiver from the deluge of raindrops striking his skin, Lightning slowly walks into town and wanders around the area in search of a nearby shop. However, while he heads towards his intended destination, a Kangashkan passing by with a pink umbrella suddenly stops in her tracks and looks at the little Pikachu with a genuine expression of pity on her face, under the assumption that Lightning is a lost child without a place to call home. “Oh my goodness! A little child shouldn’t be out here by themselves!” she says. “Excuse me?” Lightning raises an eyebrow in confusion, but the very moment he connects the dots and realizes she’s referring to him, a grumpy scowl forms on his face. “Oh, so you’re calling me a child? That’s rich! I’m surprised nobody else has made that joke before!” However, as the Kangashkan maintains their gentle expression, it’s clear that’s she’s dead serious as she stares at the Pikachu with kind but completely misguided intentions. “Child, you must be so cold out here in the rain! Are you lost? Are you without parents?” she asks as she steps closer to the little Pokémon, towering over him with her tall stature. “Ma’am, I’m not lost! I work for the guilds and I’m here to gather some supplies!” Lightning says as he shows off his blue bandana, trying his best to keep his composure in spite of those unintentionally condescending comments. “Awww, it’s so cute when children play pretend! You even dressed up for the occasion!” says the Kangashkan with a wide smile, her parental instincts being so potent that she can’t stop viewing Lightning as nothing but a little child in need despite his efforts to prove otherwise. “What? Ma’am, are you even listening to- woah!” before he can finish speaking, the Kangashkan grabs him by the waist and places him into her pouch. “Hey! What are you doing? Let me go!” Lightning squirms and fidgets in the pouch, desperately trying to escape this peculiar predicament. “No need to be so restless, little one! You’re safe and sound with Mary!” she smiles and gives the squirmy rodent a playful pat on the head, preventing any attempt to escape. After realizing he can’t get out of this strange situation at the moment, Lightning expels an annoyed sigh and stops his squirming, though he couldn’t deny that it felt quite nice to be shielded from the chilly weather thanks to the warmth of Mary’s pouch as well as the pink umbrella protecting him from the pouring rain. As the motherly Mary continues her stroll around town, Lightning remains silent, thinking she’s simply going to take him to her house and have him stay there for a little while. Unfortunately, unbeknownst to the little Pikachu, he was in for a far different experience than anticipated. “Here we are! You’ll be much better off here instead of being out in the cold!” says the Kangashkan with a wide smile as she stops at a pastel painted building. “Where are….huh?” Lightning looks up at the building with a flabbergasted look on his face, realizing that their destination wasn’t a house, but rather a full blown nursery. In addition to the exterior sporting a brightly colored pastel coat of paint and multicolored flower designs scattered around it, beds of flowers surround the perimeter of the building, providing the nursery with a pristine and pretty look; complimenting all of this is a small sign bearing the title of “Miss Mary’s Nursery”, written in neat and polished cursive. “What…” Concerned and confused about what the heck he just got himself into, Lightning once again attempts an escape from Mary’s pouch, but before he can do anything of the sort, she picks him up and stares at him with a warm smile. “You’ll have lots of fun here, cutie pie! I bet some of the other little ones will be more than happy to meet you!” Mary pulls Lightning close and gives him an affectionate nuzzle on the cheek. “Oh, speaking of which, what’s your name, little one?” “L-Lightning.” the Pikachu responds with a slight blush on his face, flustered by her constant use of childish labels like “little one, but in spite of his embarrassment, he figured that playing along would give him a shot at escape if he couldn’t do so by conventional means. Mary then steps into the nursery as she holds the little Pikachu in her arms, prompting Lightning to look around the area; in addition to the brightly colored walls adorned with letters of the alphabet, he spots several toddlers playing around on the carpeted floor, all while they’re supervised by an Audino functioning as the nursery’s assistant. “Hello, Audrey!” I assume those tiny tots didn’t cause any trouble while I was gone, yes?” Mary asks her assistant. “Not at all! The little ones didn’t give me any kind of trouble!” Audrey cheerfully replies. “Although, speaking of which, who’s that little one you got there? Did you find them while you were on break?” “I did, in fact!” Mary says with a wide smile. “During my little stroll around town, I stumbled upon this little guy walking out in the cold all by himself, so I figured he could stay here!” she looks at Lightning and gives him another affectionate nuzzle on the cheek before introducing him to the assistant. “Lightning, this is Audrey! Audrey, this is Lightning!” “Awww, it’s a pleasure to meet you, Lightning!” Audrey greets him with a welcoming smile and gives the Pikachu a playful pinch on the cheek. “Such a little cutie, yes you are!” “Ngggh…I’m not a baby!” Lighting says with an annoyed and angry expression, tired of being treated in such an infantile manner. Mary and Audrey simply smile and giggle in response to this comment, proving there’s no convincing them that he wasn’t a little child, especially due to his shorter stature. “Hehe, you just have a penchant for playing pretend, don’t you?” Mary says with another giggle, once again assuming the Pikachu is just playing around. “Now then, let’s get you padded up!” Can’t have a little guy like you walking around without proper protection!” Lightning silently rolls his eyes in response, finding it absolutely unbelievable that, on top of Mary thinking he was a little kid, also assumed he wasn’t potty trained either. However, at the end of the day, he knew he’d have to play along if wanted a chance at getting back to the guild. “And, up you go!” the Kangashkan carries Lightning to the changing room and lays him on the changing table, sliding a clean diaper under the little Pikachu’s legs and applying some baby powder onto his bottom before snugly securing the diaper around his waist. “Ugh…I look so stupid in this.” Lightning says to himself as he looks down at the thick and crinkly garment between his legs, taking notice of the orange flower patterns scattered around it. “Now then, is someone hungry?” Mary asks with a smile. GROOOOOOOOAN!!! As if to answer that question, Lightning’s tummy lets out a loud rumble, causing a scarlet red blush to form on his face. “Hehe, I’ll take that as a yes!” she then lifts Lightning off the changing table and carries him over to a small kitchen before plopping his padded posterior into a high chair and replacing his blue bandana with a green bib. “Alright, now it’s time to make that tummy nice and full!” While Mary whips up a meal, Lightning slightly squirms in his seat, clearly not the biggest fan of this babyish treatment. However, in spite of his annoyance, he had to admit that, at the very least, he was thankful that this nursery provided him with a warm shelter and a place to eat, as he hadn’t eaten anything ever since the start of his exploration. Additionally, although Mary’s reason for taking him in was the product of a misunderstanding, he had to admit that he was quite appreciative of her caring and kind-hearted nature. “Here you go!” Mary presents the Pikachu with a paper plate consisting of green apple slices and two halves of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Lightning looks down at his plate and cracks a slight smile, glad that the Kangashkan had given him the courtesy of feeding himself at the very least. After staring at his food for a few moments, the Pikachu picks up one of the halves of his sandwich and takes a big bite out of it, inadvertently causing peanut butter and jelly to splatter onto his face. Seemingly unaware of his sticky face, the little rodent continues to messily devour his sandwich, greatly enjoying the gooey texture of the peanut butter and jelly as their sweet flavors swim around his taste buds. After finishing his sandwich, Lightning makes quick work of his apple slices, making his face even messier while doing so. “Awww, looks like someone’s really enjoying their lunch!” Mary says with a smile, though she can’t help but giggle in response to Lightning’s sticky face and sloppy ways of eating. “Although, it looks like someone’s quite the messy eater too!” Shortly after hearing that statement, Lightning finally takes notice of a certain stickiness on his face and cheeks, causing an intense blush to form on his face; having a messy face wasn’t a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but he knew it was just going to reinforce the impression that he was actually a child. Beep! Beep! A sudden beeping sound is soon heard from within the area, coming from the kitchen’s microwave. “Oh! Looks like the bottle is ready!” Mary says in a sing-song voice. After wiping off his face with a washcloth, Mary lifts Lightning out of the highchair and takes off the bib around his neck before walking over to the microwave and grabbing the warm bottle of formula. “Ok! Open wide, little guy!” Mary says as she motions the bottle toward his mouth. Realizing he doesn’t really have a choice in the matter, Lightning allows Mary to place the bottle into his mouth, consuming its creamy contents while she gently rocks him. Although being bottle fed made things all the more embarrassing for the padded Pikachu, the rhythmic rocking and the warm formula enveloping his taste buds seemed to put him in a more relaxed state than before. “My my, such a hungry little boy!” Mary takes the bottle out of his mouth once its contents are completely empty. Lightning lightly pats his full tummy, admittedly satisfied by the substantial meal. After cleaning up the empty bottle, Mary then places the Pikachu over her shoulders and gives him a firm pat on the back. BUUUUUUUURP!!! Lightning suddenly lets out a loud burp, surprised to think he even had that much gas in him. “Hehe, what do we say after we burp, little guy?” Mary asks with a giggle. “E-excuse me…” Lightning responds with a deep blush, extremely embarrassed that he had to be reminded of such basic etiquette. “Good boy!” the Kangashkan gives his padded rump a playful pat before walking out of the kitchen and setting him down. “Now then, why don’t you go ahead and play with the other kids?” Figuring he has nothing better to do at the moment, Lightning heads on over to the play area, though he does so with an awkward and childlike waddle while his thick padding loudly crinkles with each and every step he takes. As if to add insult to injury, all of the toddlers in the area are either just as tall or slightly taller than him, emphasizing his short stature. “Well, now I can’t completely blame her for thinking I was a kid.” Lightning says to himself upon realizing said similarities in height, even if he was still pretty miffed about that misunderstanding. As the padded Pikachu sets foot in the play area, none of the toddlers pay all that much attention to him, too engaged in their own acts of playtime to do such a thing. However, there is one toddler that takes notice of his presence, a Plusle sporting a pink t-shirt, a little necklace with an orange pacifier dangling from it, red velcro shoes, and a disposable diaper with the same flower patterns as the one Lightning is wearing. “Oh! Hiya! Haven’t seen you befowe!” the toddler waddles over to him and playfully emits a small spark of electricity from her cheeks, ecstatic to meet another Electric-type. “Oh, uh, hello!” Lightning hastily responds, not expecting someone to interact with him so soon. “What’s youw name? What’s youw name?” asks the Plusle while she energetically jumps in place, eager to get to know this newcomer. “My name is Lightning!” he responds with a chuckle, admittedly finding the toddler’s energy and enthusiasm to be rather adorable along with her babyish lisp. “Nice ta meet ya, Wightning! My name ish Penewope!” she says with a wide smile. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Penelope!” Lightning can’t help but crack a wide smile in return, like the toddler’s cheerful demeanor was rubbing off on him despite these infantile circumstances. “Now wets pway!” Penelope gives her padded tush a playful wiggle before walking over to a big box of toys at the back of the play area. Lightning nods his head and toddles behind the toddler, though given the fact that he hasn’t worn a diaper for several years, every step he takes is shaky and off balance as he continues adjusting to his diapered state, almost as if he was actually a little baby learning how to walk. “Woah….woah…” the padded Pikachu stumbles several times while he slowly toddles to the box of toys. “Woooooooah!” POOOOOOMF!!! Lightning then loses his balance and lands right onto his padded rump, eliciting a loud crinkle and a big burst of baby powder. In response to the loud noise, Penelope turns around and takes notice of the Pikachu’s fall, letting out a little giggle while she walks back. “Hehe, uh ohs! You feww down!” Penelope walks up to the little Pikachu and offers a hand to him. “Uh, thanks, Penelope.” another blush forms on Lightning’s face as he accepts the helping hand and the Plusle puts him back on his feet.” “You wewcome, Wightning!” she says with a wide smile, always happy to help out. “Now wets go! I wanna pway wif you!” Not wanting Lightning to lose his balance again, Penelope makes her way back to the toy box while walking the padded Pikachu with her, causing Lightning’s blush to become much more prominent; it was extremely embarrassing to have a toddler assisting him in the simple act of walking, though at the same time he had to respect the Plusle for being so caring and kind-hearted, for being so thoughtful towards someone she had just met. “Hewe we awe!” the padded Pokémon reach the toy box and Penelope happily opens it up, inviting Lightning to pick out what to play. “You can choose what ta pway wit!” Lightning looks inside the toy box for several seconds while he rummages through its contents, surprised by the sheer amount of options to choose from. Eventually, he chooses a bright red bouncy ball, figuring that would be fun for them to play with. “Yay! Gweat choice! I wuv it when goes bouncy bouncy!” Penelope says with a content look on her face, more than happy with the choice he made. The two of them toddle away from the toy box and create a decent amount of distance from each other, ready to begin their playtime. “Hehehe! Pass it ta me! Pass it ta me!” says the Plusle with a playful giggle. Lightning steps forward and bounces the ball back to Penelope, eliciting more cheerful laughter from the Electric-type toddler. “Bouncy bouncy bouncy!” Penelope dribbles the ball a few times before passing it back to the Pikachu, greatly enjoying herself as the sounds of her gleeful giggling fill the air. The two Pokemon bounce the ball back and forth to each other for several minutes, with Penelope giggling and laughing every time she catches it, and Lightning couldn’t help but laugh with her from time to time; even if this wasn’t exactly how he envisioned spending his afternoon, there was a small part of him that enjoyed the simplistic nature of this activity, serving as a somewhat relaxing reprieve from the exhausting work of his exploration duties. “Ooh! Ooh! Now wets pway catch!” Penelope suggests. Lightning nods his head in affirmation, but before any game of catch can commence, he suddenly feels a sharp twinge in his bladder. In response to this sensation, the padded Pikachu presses his hands onto the front of his diaper and erratically hops in place, doing a dramatic potty dance as he desperately tries to hold it in; even if everyone at the nursery thought he was a baby, that definitely didn’t mean he had to use his diapers like one. “Ooooh! Is dat a new dance? I wike dancing too!” Penelope playfully shakes her body from side to side, thinking that Lightning was orchestrating some kind of dance number. “N-no….it’s cause….I gotta go…..” Lightning says in a strained voice, continuing to hold it in while the pressure in his bladder intensifies. Penelope looks at Lightning with a confused look on her face, though it’s not too long before she connects the dots. “Hehe, den just go in youw diapee, siwwy!” says the toddler with a playful giggle, not understanding why Lightning was trying so hard to hold it in when he had a portable potty wrapped right around his waist. As the pressure in the Pikachu’s bladder grows with each passing second, he eventually realizes that his efforts are ultimately fruitless; even if he called out to a caretaker, the chances of Mary or Audrey accepting his request to use the potty were close to zero, as that would require convincing them that he wasn’t a child, and given the results of all his attempts to do such a thing, that wasn’t happening anytime soon. After coming to this realization, Lightning stops his potty dance and looks down at his diaper with a deep blush on his face. “Is this seriously happening right now? Am I really gonna do this?” Lightning says to himself, pondering what he’s about to do in his diapers. Lightning looks up at Penelope and sees the toddler staring at him with a wide smile, almost as if she was encouraging him to go in his diaper. The Pikachu then looks back down at the thick padding between his legs, concluding that he has no other choice. “Well, here goes nothing, I guess.” Lightning says to himself, taking a deep breath to get himself prepared. PSSSSSSSSSSSHHHH!!! The moment he relaxes his body to any degree, the floodgates fling wide open and he suddenly soaks his diaper, causing it to sag and stain a shade of yellow as its flower patterns fade away. Lightning’s whole face becomes a blushy beet red while he continues to wet himself, feeling his diaper become warmer as said warmth spreads around the front and back, watching his diaper droop and start to sag down to his knees, and hearing the loud hissing sound accompanying this infantile act. After what feels like an embarrassing eternity, Lightning eventually empties his bladder, though the blush on his face doesn’t fade away as he stares at the heavily stained diaper sloshing between his legs. “Uh ohs! Now you need a diapee change! I gonna get Miss Mawy!” Penelope says. Before Lightning can respond, the Plusle runs off to find her, leaving the Pikachu standing around in his soggy diaper; as if willingly wetting himself wasn’t already embarrassing in its own right, the fact that he did such a deed right in front of Penelope, someone who was truly dependent on her diapers, made things all the more degrading. However, embarrassment aside, he once again had to applaud the toddler for being so thoughtful, for being so eager to help him out. “Looks like you were right, Penelope! The little guy definitely needs a diaper change!” Lightning hears the sound of Mary’s voice before spotting her walking beside the Electric-type toddler. “Now what do you say to Penelope for calling me over here?” she asks him. “T-thank you.” Lightning says to the toddler, a prominent blush remaining on his face. “You wewcome, Wightning!” Penelope responds, flashing another cheerful smile. Mary then grabs Lightning by the waist and lifts him up, his soggy diaper continuing to slosh and sway between his legs while the Kangashkan carries him to the changing room. “My goodness! Looks like you really had to go, Lightning! Why, I don’t know if you’re an Electric-type or a Water-type!” Mary says with a hearty laugh before laying him on the changing table. Now feeling more embarrassed than ever thanks to that comment, Lightning groans to himself and looks up at the ceiling, wanting this diaper change to be done as quickly as possible. Every second feels like several hours to him while Mary undoes his soaked diaper, lifting his legs and wiping his bottom before sprinkling some baby powder onto it. “And….all done!” Mary swiftly puts a clean diaper on the Pikachu’s bottom and lifts him off the changing table, giving his padded and powdered bottom a gentle pat before carrying him back to the play area. “Geez, I’m so glad that’s done with…”Lightning says to himself, the deep blush on his face now starting to fade away. “Now then, I think a certain someone still wants to play with you!” the Kangashkan reaches the play area and sets Lightning down before taking her leave. “Hehe, wewcome back, Wightning!” Penelope says with a wide smile and a playful shake of her padded rump; even if Lightning was only gone for a few minutes, she was extremely happy to see him again. “How nice to see you again, Penelope!” Lightning responds with a wide smile. Although he’s been subject to such embarrassing and infantile treatment throughout the afternoon, Penelope was the silver lining to all of that. Truth be told, he didn’t even expect to meet anyone noteworthy at this nursery, and yet, due to Penelope’s unbridled joy and unconditional kindness, he now saw the toddler as a genuine friend, someone he could be on good terms with even when considering their actual difference in age. “Now dat you back, we can pway catch!” the Plusle picks the bouncy ball back up before throwing it to Lightning. “W-woah.” Lightning steps back to catch the ball, nearly falling onto his padded posterior for a second time before regaining his balance and throwing the ball back. Once again, the sound of Penelope’s playful laughter fills the air while the two of them throw the ball back and forth, clearly enjoying each and every moment they’ve spent together. Eventually, Lightning can’t help but join in on the Plsule’s laughter, glad that the toddler allowed him to salvage some enjoyment from this experience. “Oh, children! It’s story time!” they hear Audrey’s voice coming from one of the other rooms. “Yaaaaay! Stowy time! Stowy time!” Penelope runs back to the toy box and puts the bouncy ball away before running all the way back. “Come on, Wightning! Wets go!” The toddler then holds Lightning’s hand again and walks him over to the other room, causing a blush to briefly return onto the Pikachu’s face; he didn’t like that Penelope was still under the assumption he had trouble walking, though he couldn’t get too upset at the toddler for her kind intentions. A few moments later, the two of them enter another room containing some small bookshelves, a multicolored carpet rug that all of the other toddlers are huddled around, and a brown rocking chair currently being used by the Audino assistant. “Alrighty, it looks like everyone else is here!” Audrey says while the rest of the Pokemon plop their padded posteriors onto the carpet rug. “Now let’s get started with the story!” Audrey opens up a book titled “The Three Little Tepigs”, a beloved classic commonly read to all kinds of children. Unfortunately, unlike most of the children here, Lightning was already familiar with this story, having heard the tale of the three Tepigs and the big bad Lycanroc several times throughout the span of his own childhood. As the Audino begins to read, the Pikachu remains seated with a look of sheer indifference, patiently waiting for the story to end. GUUUUUUURGLE!!! GUUUUUURGLE!!! However, as the story goes on, Lightning hears a loud gurgle coming from his stomach and feels a certain pressure developing from down below. “Come on….why do I have to go again?” Lightning says to himself as the pressure grows, perhaps due to his tummy not being used to the formula he was fed. The Pikachu fidgets and squirms as the pressure in his bowels persists, exerting all of his energy into holding it in. “Come on…there’s absolutely no way I’m gonna p- BRAAAAAAAAAAP!!! Lightning’s bowels start to shift as they expel a loud and gassy fart, prompting some of the children to giggle while his face turns scarlet red with embarrassment. “Oh my! Excuse you, dear!” Audrey says with a giggle, briefly disrupted by the sudden noise before resuming her reading. “Nggggh…are you serious? It must be cause of that formula Mary fed me…” Lightning says to himself, surprised by that sudden bout of flatulence. “Well…that could have been a whole lot worse, at the very least.” Unfortunately, things don’t get any easier from there, as that release of gas didn’t do much to ease the pressure in his bowels. As this pressure grows with each passing second, all Lightning can focus on are his efforts to not poop himself like a little baby, waiting and waiting for the story to reach its resolution. “The end!” Audrey closes the storybook and smiles at the children huddled on the floor. “Now then, it’s nap time, little ones!” Lightning swiftly stands up and gets back on his feet, hoping that, at the very least, he can empty himself in as private of a setting as possible if worst comes to worst. However, this sudden movement only adds more strain on top of the already intense pressure from down below, causing the unthinkable to happen as his bowels now beg for release. PFFFFFFFFFT! BRAAAAAAAAP!! PBLOOOORP!!! Lightning loudly passes gas once again, though this time it’s far more than just a fart. Another bout of flatulence follows suit before a firm load plops into his pampers, causing a noticeable bulge to form in the back as his diaper droops down to his knees. “Uh oh! Smells like someone made a stinky!” Audrey says, immediately noticing the rancid odor emanating around the room “Oh my god! Oh my god! Oh my god! Did I seriously just do that?” he internally shouts to himself. Ever so reluctantly, Lightning moves a hand towards the back of his diaper and gives his padding a single pat, immediately confirming that he had, in fact, pooped himself as he feels the big and smooshy lump bulging out from the back. In response to this realization, Lightning’s levels of embarrassment suddenly shift from one to one hundred, having never felt so humiliated in his entire life. It was one thing to wet himself, though to a degree that was something he did under his own volition. On the other hand, the dumpy deposit he just dropped in his diaper was a genuine accident, the kind of accident an actual child would have, and it definitely didn’t help that some of the other children were pointing and giggling at him. PFFFFFT! FRRRRRRRT!! BLOOOOOORT!!! The crude sounds of flatulence fill the air once again, though this time it’s coming from someone else. As a result, the toddlers that were once laughing at Lightning immediately shift their attention elsewhere, now focused on this second source of sound. Also curious as to where that sound is coming from, Lightning looks around the room for a few moments, eventually realizing that it had come from none other than his diaper-clad companion, his trusty toddler friend, Penelope; with her face scrunched up, her bottom sticking out, and her knees bent in a squatting position, she was clearly telegraphing the fact that she was going to poop her pants. “Mmmph….mmmph….mmmmph!” with all eyes now locked onto the Electric-type toddler, Penelope pushes and grunts as she shamelessly starts doing her business. PBLAAAAAARMPH!!! She suddenly drops a large load into her diaper, causing it to expand and droop down to her feet. The other toddlers playfully laugh at the poopy-pants Penelope, and as that strained expression remains on the Plusle’s face, it’s clear that she’s not even done packing her pampers just yet. “Mmmmmph…mmmmmph!” PFFFFFFT!! PBLOOOOOORMPH!!! Her diaper gets lumpier and lumpier as she continues loading it up, causing it to slump onto the floor and emit a potently pungent odor. As the Electric-type toddler empties herself, the rest of the diaper-clad children burst into laughter in response to the big mess she made, though Penelope wasn’t phased at all, as she did this dirty deed every day of the week, simply doing what diaper-dependent tots like herself do best. “Miss Audwey, I poopied!” Penelope says with a cheerful giggle and a carefree smile on her face. Even though he was now standing in his own excrement, Lightning can’t help but crack a smile, grateful that Penelope was able to get the attention of the others and soften a situation that otherwise would have been far too embarrassing for him to reasonably handle; while it’s more than likely that Penelope’s intentions were nothing more than answering nature’s call, than going simply because she had to go, part of him wanted to assume that the toddler had pooped herself that badly for the sake of easing his own embarrassment. “Oh my goodness!” Audrey instinctively plugs her nose, the room now smelling doubly awful due to the presence of two dirty diapers. “Alright you two, let’s get those diapers changed.” Penelope nods her head and toddles over to the Audino, her full diaper dragging along the floor while doing so. “Hehe, wets go, Wightning!” the Plusle holds Audrey’s hand before looking at Lightning with a welcoming smile. “Heh, right…” he sheepishly responds. After grabbing onto Audrey’s other hand, the three of them make their way to the changing room, with Lightning’s droopy diaper swaying back and forth with each step he takes; while it was definitely degrading and disgusting for him to be walking around with a load in his pants, he found some solace in the fact that the most embarrassing part of this experience was over with. “Alright, ladies first!” Audrey says with a smile. After picking Penelope up and laying her on the changing table, the Audino quickly and efficiently deals with the heavily used diaper, plopping it into the trash before wiping and powdering the Plusle’s bottom. After that’s all settled, Audrey slides a clean diaper under Penelope’s legs and snugly secures it around her waist. “All done!” Audrey picks Penelope up and sets her back down before looking at Lightning. “Now it’s your turn!” She then picks the Pikachu up and lays him on the changing table, repeating the same process she did with Penelope. Truth he told, Lightning was quite surprised by how quickly she was able to clean him up, though he certainly wasn’t complaining about it. “All done!” after diapering him up, Audrey holds Lightning in one arm and Penelope in the other arm, walking the two of them to a dimly lit room scattered with makeshift beds on the floor consisting of a white sheet, a colored blanket, and a pillow. “Sleep tight, you two.” she says in a whisper, not wanting to wake up the rest of the sleeping children. Audrey leaves the room a few moments later, and now with nap time around the corner, Lightning knew that would act as the perfect avenue for escape. Although, considering all that had happened today, he figured it wouldn’t hurt to get a little bit of shuteye first. “It’s been such a long day. Might as well rest up for a bit.” he says to himself as he walks to one of the vacant beds. However, before Lightning heads to bed, he feels someone tapping the back of his shoulder. “Hm?” he turns around to see Penelope holding her little necklace with the orange pacifier clipped onto it, offering it to him with a wide smile on her face. “You can have dis. You a good fwend.”says the Plusle in a quiet tone of voice. Lightning is surprised by the sudden offer, though he figured it would be rather rude to reject this altruistic act. Smiling back at the Electric-type toddler, he accepts the pacifier necklace and puts it around his neck, and although pacifiers were commonplace possessions for toddlers like herself, Lightning nonetheless found this to be extremely endearing. “Thank you. You’re a good friend too.” he says before the two of them split off and each settle into a bed. Shortly after tucking himself in, Lightning lays his head down and closes his eyes, remaining attentive during these short moments of rest. After fifteen minutes pass, he opens eyes and stands back up, now ready to make his escape. “Alright, now I’ve got a guild to get back to.” he says to himself, looking down at the thick padding between his legs. “First things first, I gotta get this thing off of me.” With controlled and careful movements, Lightning undoes the tapes of his diaper, letting it fall to the floor once it’s fully undone. “Ok, it’s a pretty straight shot out of here. I just have to be as quiet as possible.” The Pikachu stands on the tips of his toes and moves along with slow and steady steps. However, just before he leaves the room, he stops to give one last glance to Penelope, spotting the Electric-type toddler laying fast asleep. Although they had only known each other for a few hours, Lightning was so impressed by how kind and caring she was throughout this whole experience, by how thoughtful she was for someone of such a young age, and it made him realize that just about anyone, be it young or old, be it child or adult, would be very privileged to have a friend like Penelope. “Well, I guess this is goodbye.” Lightning says to himself, looking at the pacifier the Plusle had given him, the keepsake symbolizing this unexpected but unforgettable friendship; ever since the start of this small misunderstanding, all he wanted to do was escape this extremely embarrassing experience, and yet in a pleasant twist of irony, he now felt a little remorseful over having to go, and it was all because of Penelope, the bright spot of this bizarre chain of events. With all that now out of the way, Lightning gets back to executing his escape, being as quiet as a mouse while he tiptoes his way along the nursery. A few minutes later, he finally reaches the exit and opens the front door, though he’s just barely able to reach the door handle. “Alright, I’m out of here.” Lightning lets out a relieved sigh, though he’s hoping he hasn’t made the rest of the guild worried of his whereabouts. “Boy, I sure hope the rest of them aren’t waiting on me.” Using his remaining reserves of energy, Lightning breaks into a brisk run and takes a long distance trek back to the guild. After several miles and many more minutes, he finally reaches his destination, sweat dripping down his face as he pants in exhaustion. “Ah, there you are!” Alex walks up to him with a wide smile on his face, though he’s quick to notice the Pikachu’s tired state. “Oh my, what happened? And where did your bandana go?” “A decent way into my exploration, I got into a confrontation with a wild Pokemon. I guess I lost my bandana during my escape.” Lightning responds, figuring he’d rather tell a white lie than disclose the details of what had actually transpired. “Oh dear, I’m glad you’re alright!” says the Alolan Raichu with a relieved expression, though it’s not long before he notices the pacifier necklace around Lightning’s neck. “Though, if I may ask, what’s with the pacifier?” “Oh, uh, it was just a random thing I found on the ground!” Lightning says with a sheepish smile, wanting to change the subject as quickly as possible. “Anyways, sorry for not finding any supplies. That wild Pokémon threw a wrench into my plans.” A tense silence fills the air, and for a few moments Lightning had thought that Alex had caught on to his little lie; fortunately for him, that wasn’t the case. “Well, don’t worry about it too much! You’re far from the only one who had a problem crop up during their assignment!” Alex assuredly responds. “Anywho, you must be tired after all you’ve dealt with today! Go ahead and get some rest!” “Yea, good idea.” the Pikachu responds with an affirmative nod of his head, admittedly feeling rather tired at the moment. “I’ll see you later, Alex.” Lightning returns to the comfort of his cove and lays down on his little bed of hay, looking down at the pacifier necklace Penelope had given him. “Eh, might as well.” he unclips the pacifier and pops it into his mouth, figuring he’d give his gift a try. As the soft sounds of suckling accompany the near complete silence of his cove, Lightning finds the pacifier to be quite comforting, even if it felt a little strange at first. As the Pikachu closes his eyes and drifts off to sleep, he realizes that, in spite of all the embarrassment that accompanied this unexpected experience at the nursery, this could be something he can laugh about in the future, something he can look at in a more positive light, and it was all thanks to Penelope. Sure, Lightning wouldn’t use this pacifier every day of the week, though perhaps he’d use it every once a while to remember the caring and kind-hearted child who’s always there to help, to remember the toddler who treats even total strangers with the utmost thoughtfulness.
