Then you won't even be able to find it the next time they do something ridiculous.\n\n\nIf you reverse the looping of the oceans so they can't do that anymore, the now-spacefaring mortals will get all offended and rant at you about the altered economy and how you simply must fix it. Then you'll say 'no', and they'll say 'unacceptable', and you'll say 'listen, if you can't handle your space empire without literal divine intervention then you don't deserve a space empire', and they'll say 'we absolutely deserve a space empire, look at our hella cash' and you'll say 'oh no I forgot to include the clause about mammon' and they'll say 'do it or else' and then nobody says anything because you did include a clause about ultimatums and you now have to smite the hell out of an unreasonable number of spaceships.\n\n\n...But if you smite the entire civilization's power structure, you end up with nothing but panicked, prostrating mortals left on a planet that's turned into a desert again, and then you really feel like a heel and have to start fixing things again.\n\n\nAria figured it might help to do things in person, actually be seen refilling the oceans. It should make them appreciate a bit more that there's a face behind the magic who has to go out of her way to fix things.
