", "writing": "Hurried feet fell upon the field and parted the foliage that hung down from the overgrown forest. A tree root caught one foot and caused the figure it was attached to to knock against the offending tree. His armor clanged against the bark, yet a shoulder pad caught the brunt of the blow. Due to his stumble, the knight found himself caught in a sun shaft that poked through the canopy, revealing the young male cat’s golden-colored face. The kitten brought his paw up to shield his eyes as he finally made it to the edge of the forest. He relied on his best tracking skills and he was able to make it to this point, and knew he had to keep going. He blamed himself for the events, he knew it had to be him that made it right.\n\nHis mind turned back to how it happened…\n\n“Four! Where have you been? I was looking all over for you.” The fennolf boy huffed as he adjusted his shirt.\n\n“Sorry sire, I was retrieving your breakfast.” The kitten turned forward to present the poached eggs and oatmeal on a tray.\n\n“Oh, I was worried when I got up and didn’t... see you there next to me...” The fennolf winced as he realized his mistake. “I guess I got up late enough that you had to fetch it for me.” Pioky gestured for Four to place the tray on the table near the bed.\n\n“Your majesty, would you like to hear your schedule while you eat?” Four respectfully clasped his paws behind his back and stood at attention.\n\n“Sure, but please keep working on calling me Pioky, or Prince.” The young prince smiled as he dipped his spoon into the oatmeal.\n\n“Prince Pioky, your only engagement is one at noon regarding the rest of the knights. You must complete their inspection and induct them into the order.” Four continued his stance.\n\n“Come over here Four, let’s have breakfast together!” Pioky scooted further down the bench, to leave room for the kitten.\n\n“Yes sir.” Four obeyed like an order was given, even though he quite enjoyed being the prince’s friend. yet he still had a part to play.\n\n“Here you go~” Pioky handed his friend a bowl with fresh fruit. The kitten politely took it and immediately scarfed it down.\n\n“Sorry sire, I’d forgotten to eat my own breakfast…” Four looked down sheepishly.\n\n“I have plenty to share!” The fennolf scooped some oatmeal onto the plate and leaned on the kitty while the two ate their breakfast.\n\nA knock on the door interrupted their after breakfast nuzzles.\n\n“My liege!” A voice from outside called.\n\n“Please come in!” Pioky called.\n\nThe door slowly opened, revealing an old ferret. His fur was graying on the fringes, and the glasses he wore were quite thick. Despite this, he did not yet walk with a cane as most elders his age did.\n\n“Ah, Gaius! What is the matter?” The prince asked.\n\n“Sire, the knights are gathered already… you’re to meet with the new recruits on behalf of the crown, remember?” Gaius mentioned.\n\n“Oh yes, thank you, Four was just helping me get ready for the ceremony.” Pioky gave the ferret a quick look to get him to leave the two alone.\n\n“Y-yes sire, I understand.” The ferret left as quickly as he could.\n\nThe young fennolf giggled as the old advisor left.\n\n“Four, we need to get my ceremonial robes on!” Pioky jumped across the bed and to the dresser where Four quickly joined him.\n\n“Does your majesty wish to be dressed?” Four asked.\n\n“I would do it myself, but I think it would be more fun if you did it~” Pioky lifted his arms up.\n\n“As you wish.” Four replied with a grin.\n\nFour removed Pioky’s shirt and traced his paws along his slender body. The kitten flung the dresser open and grabbed the fluffy ceremonial robe and silk shirt. He laid them out and grabbed the shirt, while Pioky ducked his head to allow Four to put it on him. Four looked deeply into his friend and master’s eyes while buttoning the collar. With not much haste, he flung the ermine robe on Pioky’s shoulders and placed the diadem on his head to complete the ensemble.\n\n“Let’s get down there then.” Pioky smiled and grabbed Four by his paw and dragged him along to the courtyard.\n\nFour kept pace as best he could until they arrived to see the newly inducted knights of the realm standing in a row waiting for the prince’s honors. Seeing one of their own being so close to the prince so openly did cause a few stirs.\n\n“Humble knights, you’ve passed the tests given to you. You have more than proven yourselves servants of the crown. Now, I must ask you to pledge your oath of fealty to that crown and then you may call yourselves knights.” Pioky managed his best at his royal affectation; Four admired how he could be so regal at those times.\n\nBeyond the courtyard and into the thick forest, a young kobold looked on as the prince approached each knight asking them to swear an oath of fealty on bended knee. The kobold was quite jealous of the young prince. He wanted the wealth that Pioky had, for he had nothing. He lived in a cave deep in the forest, surviving off the scraps of passing caravans and would have to endure grueling work in the town in order to afford anything more than that.\n\n“If I grab him and take him, then maybe I can get his kind of life at the price they would pay to have him back...” The kobold muttered to himself with his eyes trained squarely on the prince.\n\nHe snuck around the edge of the forest and waited for his chance. Not long after it finally came...\n\n“Come on, let’s go into the forest, no one will see us.” Pioky said as he tugged on Four’s armor after he was finished administering the oaths.\n\n“S-sire, I don’t know, we shouldn’t sneak away!” Four faltered in his voice as he wanted to kiss the prince.\n\n“It won’t be long!” The prince tugged harder and pulled Four along.\n\n“Alright, if you insist... I will do my best to protect you however I can.”\n\nFour went with Pioky into the forest’s edge, also into the biding gaze of the kobold. After some minutes of hiking, the two boys reached a far enough distance into the forest where they would not be bothered. Pioky pulled Four down onto him, which caused them to fall together onto the grass. The trees shaded the harsh sunlight and provided them a cool place of respite. \n\n“Sorry, but I just want to cuddle you right now~.” Pioky nuzzled the knight’s neck and began to kiss him slowly.\n\n“A-ahh, my liege, I-I-.”\n\nFour was quickly cut off with Pioky’s muzzle pressing against his own. Four blinked in surprise, but was quick to return it, and they began to kiss deeply. After some time, Pioky broke the kiss and went back to nuzzling as they laid together in solitude. The prince took his royal robe off and  threw the garment on both of them as they cuddled.\n\nFour had been up since dawn preparing things and getting his prince’s duties in order. The warmth of his friend and the robe quickly overtook him causing the knight to nod off to sleep. Pioky was well-rested, but did not want to bother Four from his nap.\n\n“Why are the knight and the prince lying like that? Doesn’t matter, this is my chance.” The kobold muttered as he neared where the two boys were cuddling.\n\nHe withdrew a rag from the belt of his loincloth and poured a tincture on it. He slowly crept his way behind them, his moves careful. He reached the prince and, with a swift motion, pressed the rag to the prince’s mouth. Pioky instantly lost consciousness, which made the kobold quite pleased. The young kobold dragged him off of Four, eager to make off with him.\n\nIn his excitement, he dropped the rag and forgot to apply it on the knight as well. The kobold was strong, like his species often are, and easily carried Pioky on his shoulders, and ran off into the dense forest with his prize.\n\nFour roused slightly and pawed for his friend, but he couldn’t find him. He opened his eyes to see that Pioky was gone. He instantly sprang up with quickened breath and searched around. It took him a few moments until he found the rag. He picked it up and immediately noticed its foul smell. He knew that there was still time to find the prince if the rag was still very damp and pungent. With determination in his eyes, he set off to find his friend.\n\n-----------------------------------------------PRESENT TIME---------------------------------------------\n\nPioky awoke to find himself tied to a stalagmite, some rough twine binding his wrists and a shadowy figure crouching not too far away. As his eyes slowly adjusted he noticed the form was that of a kobold cub, about his own age. He wondered if this was his captor, as he found no signs of anyone else while he quickly surveyed his surroundings. He also noticed that his pants and boots were removed, leaving his nethers exposed.\n\n“You’re awake?” The kobold turned back as he noticed movement.\n\n“Why did you kidnap me? Where are my pants? You do know I’m the prince of this realm, right?!” Pioky shouted toward the kobold.\n\n“That’s why I kidnapped you! I want what you have!” The kobold replied, shouting too.\n\n“What are you talking about?!”\n\n“I want what it... so promise me you’ll give me some of what you have… I don’t want to be hungry anymore.” the kobold began to sniffle.\n\nThe prince’s angered expression softened after hearing the kobold’s request and his reasoning. His eyes darted down to the ground briefly, before his gaze turned back towards his captor.\n\n“My name is Pioky. My father never talks to me of the poor, so I never knew there were people in the realm who suffered...” Pioky said in a concerned tone.\n\n“There are,” The kobold sniffled.\n\n“I’m sorry…” Pioky continued. “I failed you. I try my best to serve the people under my father’s charge… yet I’ve failed you. Please, tell me your name.”\n\n“T-Tael… it’s Tael.” The captor replied. “Please understand, I don’t want to hurt you…” The kobold began to tear up.\n\n“I understand, Tael.” The prince said. “But by capturing me, you’re only showing exactly what people hate about your kind…”\n\nTael’s face hardened slightly. “That isn’t fair! I suffer because of discrimination while you get to walk free… that’s why our kinds can’t be friends…”\n\n“You want friends? Tael, if you release me, I can talk to my father, get him to open the kingdom to the kobolds. Then-” the prince was cut off by the new arrival.\n\n“Stop right there!” Four managed to make his way through the cave and brandished his short sword upon seeing his prince in that position.\n\n“Four wait!” Pioky yelled in vain as the kobold pulled out his dagger and immediately set upon Four.\n\n“I’ll rescue you, my prince!” Four roared.\n\nThe kitten instantly parried Tael’s blow and returned a swift hit with his pommel. The kobold was staggered instantly and he lost consciousness as soon as he hit the floor.\n\n“I told you it was fine…” Pioky said as Four untied him from the stalagmite.\n\n“I saw he was about to do indecent things to you… that’s my job.” Four gave the prince quick kiss on his lips.\n\n“That’s not at all what was happening. He wants friends.” Pioky pointed at Tael on the floor.\n\n“Friends? With a  kobold?” Four laughed.\n\n“That isn’t so funny anymore, Four.” Pioky crossed his arms and pouted.\n\n“I am sorry, my liege.” The knight apologized. “Regardless…”\n\nFour knelt down and grabbed the rope that had bound the prince just moments before. He dragged the kobold over to the stalagmite and bound him in turn. Pioky watched and shook his head in disapproval.\n\n“What do you mean to do, then?” The prince asked.\n\n“As I said… it’s my job to be the one doing lewd things to you.” The knight replied, smirking wide.\n\nPioky’s eyes shot wide. “V-very well.” But he pointed to the kobold. “But you will untie him if he wakes, right?”\n\nFour sighed.“If he wakes up in time... then yes, if the prince wills it.” Four reached down quickly and grasped Pioky’s half hard cubhood in the tiny loincloth.\n\nAnd like that, a switch was turned on in the Prince’s head.\n\n“Your prince wants to take you into his mouth~” Pioky pleaded.\n\nThe fennolf pushed Four against the wall and grabbed onto the tassels of Four’s pants. You’ll watch me lay with the prince.”\n\n“Oh come on!” the kobold complained.\n\nThe prince strode up, still rock hard, his lips still wet.\n\n“You should untie him, Four. I mean... look, he just wants to join in.” The prince said, while squeezing Four’s little pouch. \n\nThe kitten sighed and grabbed onto the rope around Tael. “As my Prince commands…”\n\nWith a swift motion, the twine wrapped around the kobold was cut, and fell around him.  Before Tael could even stand up, Pioky turned toward Tael and began licking his tip. “Your majesty, would you like to hear your schedule while you eat?” Four respectfully clasped his paws behind his back and stood at attention.

“Sure, but please keep working on calling me Pioky, or Prince.” The young prince smiled as he dipped his spoon into the oatmeal.

“Prince Pioky, your only engagement is one at noon regarding the rest of the knights. You must complete their inspection and induct them into the order.” Four continued his stance.

“Come over here Four, let’s have breakfast together!” Pioky scooted further down the bench, to leave room for the kitten.

“Yes sir.” Four obeyed like an order was given, even though he quite enjoyed being the prince’s friend. yet he still had a part to play.

“Here you go~” Pioky handed his friend a bowl with fresh fruit. The kitten politely took it and immediately scarfed it down.

“Sorry sire, I’d forgotten to eat my own breakfast…” Four looked down sheepishly.

“I have plenty to share!” The fennolf scooped some oatmeal onto the plate and leaned on the kitty while the two ate their breakfast.

A knock on the door interrupted their after breakfast nuzzles.

“My liege!” A voice from outside called.

“Please come in!” Pioky called.

The door slowly opened, revealing an old ferret. His fur was graying on the fringes, and the glasses he wore were quite thick. Despite this, he did not yet walk with a cane as most elders his age did.

“Ah, Gaius! What is the matter?” The prince asked.

“Sire, the knights are gathered already… you’re to meet with the new recruits on behalf of the crown, remember?” Gaius mentioned.

“Oh yes, thank you, Four was just helping me get ready for the ceremony.” Pioky gave the ferret a quick look to get him to leave the two alone.

“Y-yes sire, I understand.” The ferret left as quickly as he could.

The young fennolf giggled as the old advisor left.

“Four, we need to get my ceremonial robes on!” Pioky jumped across the bed and to the dresser where Four quickly joined him.

“Does your majesty wish to be dressed?” Four asked.

“I would do it myself, but I think it would be more fun if you did it~” Pioky lifted his arms up.

“As you wish.” Four replied with a grin.

Four removed Pioky’s shirt and traced his paws along his slender body. The kitten flung the dresser open and grabbed the fluffy ceremonial robe and silk shirt. He laid them out and grabbed the shirt, while Pioky ducked his head to allow Four to put it on him. Four looked deeply into his friend and master’s eyes while buttoning the collar. With not much haste, he flung the ermine robe on Pioky’s shoulders and placed the diadem on his head to complete the ensemble.

“Let’s get down there then.” Pioky smiled and grabbed Four by his paw and dragged him along to the courtyard.

Four kept pace as best he could until they arrived to see the newly inducted knights of the realm standing in a row waiting for the prince’s honors. Seeing one of their own being so close to the prince so openly did cause a few stirs.

“Humble knights, you’ve passed the tests given to you. You have more than proven yourselves servants of the crown. Now, I must ask you to pledge your oath of fealty to that crown and then you may call yourselves knights.” Pioky managed his best at his royal affectation; Four admired how he could be so regal at those times.

Beyond the courtyard and into the thick forest, a young kobold looked on as the prince approached each knight asking them to swear an oath of fealty on bended knee. The kobold was quite jealous of the young prince. He wanted the wealth that Pioky had, for he had nothing. He lived in a cave deep in the forest, surviving off the scraps of passing caravans and would have to endure grueling work in the town in order to afford anything more than that.

“If I grab him and take him, then maybe I can get his kind of life at the price they would pay to have him back...” The kobold muttered to himself with his eyes trained squarely on the prince.

He snuck around the edge of the forest and waited for his chance. Not long after it finally came...

“Come on, let’s go into the forest, no one will see us.” Pioky said as he tugged on Four’s armor after he was finished administering the oaths.

“S-sire, I don’t know, we shouldn’t sneak away!” Four faltered in his voice as he wanted to kiss the prince.

“It won’t be long!” The prince tugged harder and pulled Four along.

“Alright, if you insist... I will do my best to protect you however I can.”

Four went with Pioky into the forest’s edge, also into the biding gaze of the kobold. After some minutes of hiking, the two boys reached a far enough distance into the forest where they would not be bothered. Pioky pulled Four down onto him, which caused them to fall together onto the grass. The trees shaded the harsh sunlight and provided them a cool place of respite.

“Sorry, but I just want to cuddle you right now~.” Pioky nuzzled the knight’s neck and began to kiss him slowly.

He reached the prince and, with a swift motion, pressed the rag to the prince’s mouth. Pioky instantly lost consciousness, which made the kobold quite pleased. The young kobold dragged him off of Four, eager to make off with him.

In his excitement, he dropped the rag and forgot to apply it on the knight as well. The kobold was strong, like his species often are, and easily carried Pioky on his shoulders, and ran off into the dense forest with his prize.

Four roused slightly and pawed for his friend, but he couldn’t find him. He opened his eyes to see that Pioky was gone. He instantly sprang up with quickened breath and searched around. It took him a few moments until he found the rag. He picked it up and immediately noticed its foul smell. He knew that there was still time to find the prince if the rag was still very damp and pungent. With determination in his eyes, he set off to find his friend.

Pioky awoke to find himself tied to a stalagmite, some rough twine binding his wrists and a shadowy figure crouching not too far away. As his eyes slowly adjusted he noticed the form was that of a kobold cub, about his own age. He wondered if this was his captor, as he found no signs of anyone else while he quickly surveyed his surroundings. He also noticed that his pants and boots were removed, leaving his nethers exposed.

“You’re awake?” The kobold turned back as he noticed movement.

“Why did you kidnap me? Where are my pants? You do know I’m the prince of this realm, right?!” Pioky shouted toward the kobold.

“That’s why I kidnapped you! I want what you have!” The kobold replied, shouting too.

“What are you talking about?!”

“I want what it... so promise me you’ll give me some of what you have… I don’t want to be hungry anymore.” the kobold began to sniffle.

The prince’s angered expression softened after hearing the kobold’s request and his reasoning. His eyes darted down to the ground briefly, before his gaze turned back towards his captor.

“My name is Pioky. My father never talks to me of the poor, so I never knew there were people in the realm who suffered...” Pioky said in a concerned tone.

“There are,” The kobold sniffled.

“I’m sorry…” Pioky continued. “I failed you. I try my best to serve the people under my father’s charge… yet I’ve failed you. Please, tell me your name.”

“T-Tael… it’s Tael.” The captor replied. “Please understand, I don’t want to hurt you…” The kobold began to tear up.

“I understand, Tael.” The prince said. “But by capturing me, you’re only showing exactly what people hate about your kind…”

Tael’s face hardened slightly. “That isn’t fair! I suffer because of discrimination while you get to walk free… that’s why our kinds can’t be friends…”

“You want friends? Tael, if you release me, I can talk to my father, get him to open the kingdom to the kobolds. Then-” the prince was cut off by the new arrival.

“Stop right there!” Four managed to make his way through the cave and brandished his short sword upon seeing his prince in that position.

“Four wait!” Pioky yelled in vain as the kobold pulled out his dagger and immediately set upon Four.

“I’ll rescue you, my prince!” Four roared.

The kitten instantly parried Tael’s blow and returned a swift hit with his pommel. The kobold was staggered instantly and he lost consciousness as soon as he hit the floor.

“I told you it was fine…” Pioky said as Four untied him from the stalagmite.

“Friends? With a  kobold?” Four laughed.

Four knelt down and grabbed the rope that had bound the prince just moments before. He dragged the kobold over to the stalagmite and bound him in turn. Pioky watched and shook his head in disapproval.

“What do you mean to do, then?” The prince asked.
