His gaze was fixed on the road, with the occasional beep of his GPS alerting him to his route.\n\n“Well, yes, it's closer,” the yellow female in the seat next to him said, “But it's also in New Jersey.”\n\n“That shouldn't matter, Olivia.” The male explained, “Back in England there aren't states to hate.”\n\n“Henry...” Olivia sighed and shook her head, “Just suck it up. We've been out this way before for your work, and this isn't about us.”\n\nHenry adjusted his rear view mirror and smiled a bit. “You're right, love... it's about him.”\n\nIn the back seat of the car was a young yellow cub, clad in a blue hawaiian-styled shirt, with matching swim trunks. He was engrossed in the game he was playing on his 3DS, and didn't even notice his parents' conversation. Olivia looked back and shook her head, sighing audibly.\n\n“Calrin, did you remember your gift for Derek?”\n\nCalrin kicked a bag at his feet and nodded a bit. \"Right here mom!\"\n\nOlivia sighed and nodded in relief, petting her son's head. “Good boy.”\n\nCalrin giggled and stuck his tongue out at his mother playfully.\n\nHenry adjusted his rearview mirror to quickly glance at Calrin during the conversation, a smile forming on his face. A robotic voice speaking up made him re-focus on the road.\n\n“IN 300 FEET, TURN RIGHT. YOU WILL REACH YOUR DESTINATION.”\n\n“Finally...” he muttered under his breath, gripping onto the wheel tightly.\n\nAfter what seemed like an eternity on the road, the car finally turned into the massive parking lot of the water park, under a nice big sign that read “SPLISH-SPLASH WATER PARK”. The car pulled into the parking lot, and the family filed out.\n\n“Alright, where are we meeting them again?” Henry asked, gathering up their bags and towels.\n\n“Well, apparently cake and presents are first, so we'll be meeting in the Birthday Island...” Olivia replied, unfolding a pamphlet to look through. “Which is right... down... here!” She pointed to a location near the bottom of the map on the slip.\n\n“Let's get going then!” Calrin exclaimed as he ran past his parents.\n\nThe Bolfreys hastily made their way to the main gate to check in. The gangly attendant at the desk placed a set of keys in Olivia's paw for a locker, and they continued on their way.\n\n“Where is it where is it where is it?” Calrin asked repeatedly as his parents put their stuff in the locker.\n\n“Wow, Calrin, so full of energy today!” Olivia ruffled her son's hair and pulled her map back out. “Bithday Island is right between the Giant Twister set of slides and the Dinsosaur Falls... see?”\n\nCalrin nodded and bolted off before his parents were finished, disappearing into the crowd of people, to the surprise of the adults.\n\n“Calrin, wait up!” Olivia called out, quickly frowning as her son vanished.\n\nShe turned to her husband, the arctic fox patting his bare chest and nodding. “I'll go find him, meet us over there when you're done.”\n\nHenry then ran off to pursue his son, while Olivia got everything situated. It was a quick affair, and she made her way over to where she hoped the Birthday Island was... and to her relief, she saw her family about to enter.\n\n“Don't run off like that next time, Calrin.” Henry finished scolding Calrin as she came up.\n\n“Sorry daddy, I got carried away.” The yellow cub nodded.\n\nAnd with that, the family made their way in, while Calrin looked around in awe at all the slides in view, only to get practically pounced on as the Bolfrey family arrived at the red-roofed pavilion area that was the Birthday Island. Derek was a badger, slightly overweight for his age, but far from obese, and had buck teeth, an oddity for badgers.\n\n“Calrin, you made it!” The young badger exclaimed.\n\n“Of course I did!” The yellow fox replied with a giggle.\n\nOlvia and Henry watched and smiled as Derek's parents came up.\n\n“Olivia, Henry, thank you for making it. I know this is a little out of your way.” Derek's father said.\n\n“Bah, anything for the kids.” Henry replied.\n\nDerek's mother nodded and took the bag from Calrin. “Come over to Pavillion 3, we're about to start.”\n\nThey nodded and started heading over. While the adults conversed about adult things, Derek and Calrin were busy being giddy.\n\n“So you never told me what Mr. Delio gave you on that math test, Calrin.” Derek said.\n\nCalrin blinked and smirked a little. “Why don't we say our scores at the same time?”\n\n“Sure thing!” The badger replied.\n\n“Alright then!” Calrin exclaimed, “1... 2...”\n\n“100!” They both said in unison.\n\nThe resulting sync made the two cubs laugh. While Calrin was the smartest boy in their class, Derek always tried to out-do him. The determination wound up making Calrin and Derek good friends.\n\nWhen they got to their pavilion, Derek and Calrin sat next to each other, the yellow fox getting a party hat put on his head. Before the young fox and badger could resume their conversation, Calrin yipped as he felt himself get pulled over by a red arm grabbing him.\n\n“I was wondering when you'd get here, Cally!” A familiar voice sounded.\n\n“H-hi Justin!” Calrin greeted, still reeling from the yank.\n\nDerek sighed a little and bopped Justin's nose. “Hey, remember, you're only here 'cause your Calrin's friend.”\n\nJustin blinked and frowned a little at Derek's comment. “Well... I mean...”\n\n“But I'm your friend, right, Derek?” Richie asked, the raccoon seemingly appearing from nowhere behind the red fox.\n\n“Yeah you are!” Derek replied.\n\n“Don't forget me!” A familiar white bunny chimed in.\n\nDerek giggled nervously and rubbed the back of his head. “Yeah, Kevin, you too.”\n\nThe bunny smiled and stuck his tongue out before plopping himself down at the table. With everyone now present, Derek's parents spoke up.\n\n“Alright everyone, cake time!”\n\nIt was a little odd to have the cake first at a water park party, but Derek wanted an ice cream cake, so it [i]had [/i]to be first. The cake was a nice big rectangle, which made it it's decorations and icing designs -a bunch of school related items- stand out even more.\n\n“That's such a geeky cake, Derek!” Calrin teased.\n\nDerek stuck his tongue out at Calrin and smirked. “And the blue phone booth cake for your 8th birthday wasn't?” He playfully snapped back.\n\n“It's not a phone booth, its the TAR-... nevermind, let's eat!” Calrin replied.\n\nThe collected cubs shared a laugh and gathered around the cake as Derek's mother put a 9-shaped party candle on top and lit it. Thus began the giant cacophony that was Happy Birthday being sung by everyone in attendance. After the song, Derek was free to open his presents.\n\n“Which one should I open first?” Derek asked.\n\nAfter getting several different answers, of course said all at once, he just stuck his tongue out and snatched what felt like a disk case out from the pile.\n\n“This one says its from Calrin... what did you get me?” The badger asked.\n\n“Open it and find out!” Calrin replied with a giggle.\n\nDerek ripped open the paper rather quickly, his face lighting up when he saw what he was holding. \n\n“[i]Super Mario Maker[/i]!” The young badger exclaimed.\n\n“Figured you'd like it!”\n\nDerek giggled at his friend and set the game aside to open more presents. The stuff he got was a rather nice collection: a few more Wii U and 3DS games, a Steven Universe DVD set, and the obligatory shirts and cards with money. With everything done, Derek's father cleared his throat to speak.\n\n“Alright everyone! The cake's been had, presents and cards opened. Go enjoy the park!”\n\nAnd with that, the crowd dispersed. Justin, who had been slumped over in near disinterest the entire time, shot up and noticed Calrin taking the map from Olivia and looking it over. The red cub grinned and sneaked his way up next to his friend.\n\n“So, Cally, this is quite the day, huh?” Justin asked, grinning again.\n\nCalrin nodded and gave his friend a smirk. “Yeah! I can't believe how much stuff there is here!”\n\nThe red cub giggled and looked at the map. “Yep! Wanna hit up Cliff Diver first? Oh, or we can do Alien Invasion!”\n\nCalrin shuffled a little as he looked the map over. Before he could answer Justin, he heard Derek call out to him.\n\n“Hey, Calrin! We need a fourth for Giant Twister! We're gonna race down! Wanna join?”\n\n“Sure!” The yellow fox replied, giving the map to Justin. “Sorry, Justin, maybe later.” He said before running off to go with Derek.\n\nJustin stood there holding the map, stunned silent, his eyes locked on Calrin and Derek. Two familiar cubs slipped up to either side of him and turned their eyes towards where Justin was looking.\n\n“Someone's jealous~.” Richie teased in a sing-songy voice.\n\nJustin stammered a bit before finally being able to come up with a reply to the raccoon. “W-why would I be? Cally can have other friends!”\n\n“Well yeah, but he's [i]your[/i] best friend.” Kevin chimed in.\n\n“Well, yeah...” Justin said.\n\n“But him and Derek have more in common.” Richie added.\n\nJustin sighed and looked down at the ground. “...You're not making me feel better guys.”\n\nRichie and Kevin looked at each other, giving off frowns before patting Justin's shoulders, respective for each side they were on.\n\n“Hey, hey... sorry, Justin.” Richie honestly said.\n\n“We were just playing.” Kevin replied.\n\nJustin sighed and smiled again, not as much as his usual energetic grin, but it was still an honest smile. “I know that guys. It's just... weird, seeing Calrin go off with another friend so... quickly.”\n\nThe raccoon and bunny glanced at each other in mild surprise to hear Justin use Calrin's real name for once (as far as they knew anyway), and then took Justin's arms in theirs.\n\n“Well, we're friends!” Richie stated.\n\n“Let's go do some of these rides.” Kevin followed.\n\nJustin looked at both of them and then finally grinned that manic grin again. “Alright, Race ya to Cliff Diver!”\n\nJustin bolted off after that. Richie and Kevin stood there for a second before grinning and running off to follow the fox.\n\n[center]----------------------------------TEN MINUTES LATER--------------------------------------[/center]\n\nThe Giant Twister was a set of four slides that started from the same platform, and each of them was a uniquely winding, curling path, with no one slide following the same path, but they all ended in the same pool. As did Derek when he finally made it down the slide he was on, giggling as he surfaced.\n\n“Woo! First place!” He exclaimed.\n\n“Sorry, little dude.” A teenaged ram on the outside told him, “But if you were racing them, you came last.”\n\nThe ram pointed towards a set of three cubs who were getting out of the water next to him; a coyote, a sheep, and a yellow fox. Derek spat some water out of his mouth and swam up to them.\n\n“How did I come in last?” He asked, pretending to be disappointed.\n\n“I think the third slide is the longest.” The coyote said, shaking himself off.\n\n“Aww... no wonder you forced me on it.” Derek replied, sticking his tongue out.\n\nCalrin giggled and patted Derek's shoulder. “Still had fun though, right?”\n\nThe badger cub nodded quickly and looked around. “Alright, where to next guys?”\n\nCalrin frowned a little and looked for his map, only to not find it. “Oh, I left my map with Justin!”\n\nDerek sighed at the mention of Justin's name and looked around. “...Wanna go find him?”\n\nCalrin nodded and looked around. “He wanted to go on Cliff Diver... he might be around there.” The yellow fox turned to the other cubs. “You guys have fun, we're gonna go find Justin.”\n\nThe sheep and coyote nodded and ran off on their own, leaving Calrin and Derek to run off in the other direction once they crossed the bridge over the Lazy River. It was a long run, basically around the entire park. After stopping to briefly catch their breath, they made it to the entrance to the line for Cliff Diver. The two cubs looked up at the rides and gulped audibly.\n\n“You know... these look a lot scarier up close.” Derek said.\n\nCalrin nodded in agreement. “Yeah... glad I didn't go on.”\n\nCliff Diver was a massive open-air slide meant for one person without a tube to go town. Due to how it was angled, along with its height, it would be more apt to call it the Giant Drop. The two watched a fur go down, screaming, practically being shot down the slide, before disappearing briefly into a wooden enclosure, coming back into view at the end of the slide, cheering loudly.\n\n“Do you think they went yet?” Derek asked.\n\n“...Probably, yeah.” Calrin replied.\n\nAs the two kept standing there waiting, a figure sneaked up behind them, and clapped his hands loudly together, startling them both.\n\n“You guys got scared from that?” Justin asked playfully.\n\n“Well yeah!” Calrin replied, spinning around.\n\nJustin smirked and pointed towards the slide. “Were you guys about to go on Cliff Diver? It's a rush!”\n\n“No way, it's scary!” Derek replied.\n\n“Well... where [i]do[/i] you wanna go?” Kevin asked.\n\n“Well, we can all fit in a raft for Dr. VonDark's Tunnel of Terror, or The Bootlegger...” Derek replied dejectedly.\n\nJustin cocked a brow at Derek and stood there. Richie was the one who spoke up to end the silence.\n\n“Hey, actually, I just remembered something!” The raccoon blurted out.\n\nThe group turned to him. In slight confusion. Richie grinned and pointed down the way.\n\n“You guys know about Surf City, the wavepool?” He started, “Well, I heard there's a spot there where nobody can see you and you can still get splashed with all the waves.”\n\n“...why would you bring that up?” Derek asked.\n\n“Well...” Richie explained, “I like that kind of thing, but all the people around, you miss most of the good splashes and waves.”\n\n“Could be neat.” Calrin stated, shrugging a bit.\n\n“Let's go then!” Justin exclaimed.\n\nAs soon as he called that out, Justin darted off, running south. The other boys gave pursuit, not having to go very far. Surf City was a big wave pool, with a faux rock formation at the back of it, which was where the waves started coming in once they were generated.\n\n“We have to go all the way to the back... I think.” Richie said with a grimace, scratching his head.\n\n“Well we don't [i]have[/i] to.” Kevin stated. “It's Derek's birthday, it's his choice.”\n\nDerek looked around at everyone, and then at the pool. “...I'm curious, let's go.”\n\nAs Derek went forward, the other cubs followed. There were a surprising amount of people in the wave pool, but considering it was the middle of Fall, very few people were probably at beaches. After making it all the way to the back, the boys looked up. They saw water poring down from the top, and the sprinkles of a fountain pit-patting down around them.\n\n“Ok... now what?” Derek asked.\n\nRichie looked around, hoping for any gap or something, but his face falling as he couldn't seem to find anything.\n\n“...I guess there isn't really anything.” The raccoon stated.\n\n“...And what exactly are you lot planning on doing?”\n\nThe cubs quickly turned around to see who the adult addressing them was. Their eyes met two adults, a grey raccoon and a white rabbit with black splotches on his ears and left eye.\n\n“Dad!” Kevin blurted out. “What are you doing here?”\n\n“...Tailing you so we know you're safe.” Ayers Snowpaw replied, adjusting his glasses.\n\n“It might be a water park, but we can't just let the kids run around willy nilly, ya know?” Greg Mathis added.\n\n“Right!” Calrin replied.\n\n“So... what are you kids trying to do?” Ayers asked.\n\n“Well, Mr. Snowpaw,” Derek started, “Richie mentioned a spot over here where no one can see us so we can play in Surf City without getting bumped around by all the people... but we can't find it.”\n\nAyers and Greg looked at each other before turning back to the group. “Ok, guys,” Greg began, “All that's back there is machinery. The arctic fox behind the wheel of the car was clearly upset about having to drive so far out of his way. His gaze was fixed on the road, with the occasional beep of his GPS alerting him to his route.

“Well, yes, it's closer,” the yellow female in the seat next to him said, “But it's also in New Jersey.”

“That shouldn't matter, Olivia.” The male explained, “Back in England there aren't states to hate.”

“Henry...” Olivia sighed and shook her head, “Just suck it up. We've been out this way before for your work, and this isn't about us.”

Henry adjusted his rear view mirror and smiled a bit. “You're right, love... it's about him.”

In the back seat of the car was a young yellow cub, clad in a blue hawaiian-styled shirt, with matching swim trunks. He was engrossed in the game he was playing on his 3DS, and didn't even notice his parents' conversation. Olivia looked back and shook her head, sighing audibly.

“Calrin, did you remember your gift for Derek?”

Henry adjusted his rearview mirror to quickly glance at Calrin during the conversation, a smile forming on his face. A robotic voice speaking up made him re-focus on the road.

“IN 300 FEET, TURN RIGHT. YOU WILL REACH YOUR DESTINATION.”

“Finally...” he muttered under his breath, gripping onto the wheel tightly.

After what seemed like an eternity on the road, the car finally turned into the massive parking lot of the water park, under a nice big sign that read “SPLISH-SPLASH WATER PARK”. The car pulled into the parking lot, and the family filed out.

“Alright, where are we meeting them again?” Henry asked, gathering up their bags and towels.

“Well, apparently cake and presents are first, so we'll be meeting in the Birthday Island...” Olivia replied, unfolding a pamphlet to look through. “Which is right... down... here!” She pointed to a location near the bottom of the map on the slip.

“Let's get going then!” Calrin exclaimed as he ran past his parents.

The Bolfreys hastily made their way to the main gate to check in. The gangly attendant at the desk placed a set of keys in Olivia's paw for a locker, and they continued on their way.

“Where is it where is it where is it?” Calrin asked repeatedly as his parents put their stuff in the locker.

“Wow, Calrin, so full of energy today!” Olivia ruffled her son's hair and pulled her map back out. “Bithday Island is right between the Giant Twister set of slides and the Dinsosaur Falls... see?”

Calrin nodded and bolted off before his parents were finished, disappearing into the crowd of people, to the surprise of the adults.

“Calrin, wait up!” Olivia called out, quickly frowning as her son vanished.

She turned to her husband, the arctic fox patting his bare chest and nodding. “I'll go find him, meet us over there when you're done.”

Henry then ran off to pursue his son, while Olivia got everything situated. It was a quick affair, and she made her way over to where she hoped the Birthday Island was... and to her relief, she saw her family about to enter.

“Don't run off like that next time, Calrin.” Henry finished scolding Calrin as she came up.

“Sorry daddy, I got carried away.” The yellow cub nodded.

And with that, the family made their way in, while Calrin looked around in awe at all the slides in view, only to get practically pounced on as the Bolfrey family arrived at the red-roofed pavilion area that was the Birthday Island. Derek was a badger, slightly overweight for his age, but far from obese, and had buck teeth, an oddity for badgers.

“Calrin, you made it!” The young badger exclaimed.

“Of course I did!” The yellow fox replied with a giggle.

Olvia and Henry watched and smiled as Derek's parents came up.

“Olivia, Henry, thank you for making it. I know this is a little out of your way.” Derek's father said.

“Bah, anything for the kids.” Henry replied.

Derek's mother nodded and took the bag from Calrin. “Come over to Pavillion 3, we're about to start.”

They nodded and started heading over. While the adults conversed about adult things, Derek and Calrin were busy being giddy.

“So you never told me what Mr. Delio gave you on that math test, Calrin.” Derek said.

Calrin blinked and smirked a little. “Why don't we say our scores at the same time?”

“Sure thing!” The badger replied.

“Alright then!” Calrin exclaimed, “1... 2...”

“100!” They both said in unison.

The resulting sync made the two cubs laugh. While Calrin was the smartest boy in their class, Derek always tried to out-do him. The determination wound up making Calrin and Derek good friends.

When they got to their pavilion, Derek and Calrin sat next to each other, the yellow fox getting a party hat put on his head. Before the young fox and badger could resume their conversation, Calrin yipped as he felt himself get pulled over by a red arm grabbing him.

“I was wondering when you'd get here, Cally!” A familiar voice sounded.

“H-hi Justin!” Calrin greeted, still reeling from the yank.

Derek sighed a little and bopped Justin's nose. “Hey, remember, you're only here 'cause your Calrin's friend.”

Justin blinked and frowned a little at Derek's comment. “Well... I mean...”

“But I'm your friend, right, Derek?” Richie asked, the raccoon seemingly appearing from nowhere behind the red fox.

“Yeah you are!” Derek replied.

“Don't forget me!” A familiar white bunny chimed in.

Derek giggled nervously and rubbed the back of his head. “Yeah, Kevin, you too.”

The bunny smiled and stuck his tongue out before plopping himself down at the table. With everyone now present, Derek's parents spoke up.

“Alright everyone, cake time!”

It was a little odd to have the cake first at a water park party, but Derek wanted an ice cream cake, so it had to be first. The cake was a nice big rectangle, which made it it's decorations and icing designs -a bunch of school related items- stand out even more.

“That's such a geeky cake, Derek!” Calrin teased.

Derek stuck his tongue out at Calrin and smirked. “And the blue phone booth cake for your 8th birthday wasn't?” He playfully snapped back.

“It's not a phone booth, its the TAR-... nevermind, let's eat!” Calrin replied.

The collected cubs shared a laugh and gathered around the cake as Derek's mother put a 9-shaped party candle on top and lit it. Thus began the giant cacophony that was Happy Birthday being sung by everyone in attendance. After the song, Derek was free to open his presents.

“Which one should I open first?” Derek asked.

After getting several different answers, of course said all at once, he just stuck his tongue out and snatched what felt like a disk case out from the pile.

“This one says its from Calrin... what did you get me?” The badger asked.

“Open it and find out!” Calrin replied with a giggle.

Derek ripped open the paper rather quickly, his face lighting up when he saw what he was holding.

“Super Mario Maker!” The young badger exclaimed.

“Figured you'd like it!”

Derek giggled at his friend and set the game aside to open more presents. The stuff he got was a rather nice collection: a few more Wii U and 3DS games, a Steven Universe DVD set, and the obligatory shirts and cards with money. With everything done, Derek's father cleared his throat to speak.

“Alright everyone! The cake's been had, presents and cards opened. Go enjoy the park!”

And with that, the crowd dispersed. Justin, who had been slumped over in near disinterest the entire time, shot up and noticed Calrin taking the map from Olivia and looking it over. The red cub grinned and sneaked his way up next to his friend.

“So, Cally, this is quite the day, huh?” Justin asked, grinning again.

Calrin nodded and gave his friend a smirk. “Yeah! I can't believe how much stuff there is here!”

The red cub giggled and looked at the map. “Yep! Wanna hit up Cliff Diver first? Oh, or we can do Alien Invasion!”

Calrin shuffled a little as he looked the map over. Before he could answer Justin, he heard Derek call out to him.

“Hey, Calrin! We need a fourth for Giant Twister! We're gonna race down! Wanna join?”

“Sure!” The yellow fox replied, giving the map to Justin. “Sorry, Justin, maybe later.” He said before running off to go with Derek.

Justin stood there holding the map, stunned silent, his eyes locked on Calrin and Derek. Two familiar cubs slipped up to either side of him and turned their eyes towards where Justin was looking.

“Someone's jealous~.” Richie teased in a sing-songy voice.

Justin stammered a bit before finally being able to come up with a reply to the raccoon. “W-why would I be? Cally can have other friends!”

“Well yeah, but he's your best friend.” Kevin chimed in.

“Well, yeah...” Justin said.

“But him and Derek have more in common.” Richie added.

Justin sighed and looked down at the ground. “...You're not making me feel better guys.”

Richie and Kevin looked at each other, giving off frowns before patting Justin's shoulders, respective for each side they were on.

“Hey, hey... sorry, Justin.” Richie honestly said.

“We were just playing.” Kevin replied.

Justin sighed and smiled again, not as much as his usual energetic grin, but it was still an honest smile. “I know that guys. It's just... weird, seeing Calrin go off with another friend so... quickly.”

The raccoon and bunny glanced at each other in mild surprise to hear Justin use Calrin's real name for once (as far as they knew anyway), and then took Justin's arms in theirs.

“Well, we're friends!” Richie stated.

“Let's go do some of these rides.” Kevin followed.

Justin looked at both of them and then finally grinned that manic grin again. “Alright, Race ya to Cliff Diver!”

Justin bolted off after that. Richie and Kevin stood there for a second before grinning and running off to follow the fox.

The Giant Twister was a set of four slides that started from the same platform, and each of them was a uniquely winding, curling path, with no one slide following the same path, but they all ended in the same pool. As did Derek when he finally made it down the slide he was on, giggling as he surfaced.

“Woo! First place!” He exclaimed.

“Sorry, little dude.” A teenaged ram on the outside told him, “But if you were racing them, you came last.”

The ram pointed towards a set of three cubs who were getting out of the water next to him; a coyote, a sheep, and a yellow fox. Derek spat some water out of his mouth and swam up to them.

“How did I come in last?” He asked, pretending to be disappointed.

“I think the third slide is the longest.” The coyote said, shaking himself off.

“Aww... no wonder you forced me on it.” Derek replied, sticking his tongue out.

Calrin giggled and patted Derek's shoulder. “Still had fun though, right?”

The badger cub nodded quickly and looked around. “Alright, where to next guys?”

Calrin frowned a little and looked for his map, only to not find it. “Oh, I left my map with Justin!”

Derek sighed at the mention of Justin's name and looked around. “...Wanna go find him?”

Calrin nodded and looked around. “He wanted to go on Cliff Diver... he might be around there.” The yellow fox turned to the other cubs. “You guys have fun, we're gonna go find Justin.”

The sheep and coyote nodded and ran off on their own,  leaving Calrin and Derek to run off in the other direction once they crossed the bridge over the Lazy River. It was a long run, basically around the entire park. After stopping to briefly catch their breath, they made it to the entrance to the line for Cliff Diver. The two cubs looked up at the rides and gulped audibly.

“You know... these look a lot scarier up close.” Derek said.

Calrin nodded in agreement. “Yeah... glad I didn't go on.”

Cliff Diver was a massive open-air slide meant for one person without a tube to go town. Due to how it was angled, along with its height, it would be more apt to call it the Giant Drop. The two watched a fur go down, screaming, practically being shot down the slide, before disappearing briefly into a wooden enclosure, coming back into view at the end of the slide, cheering loudly.

“Do you think they went yet?” Derek asked.

“...Probably, yeah.” Calrin replied.

As the two kept standing there waiting, a figure sneaked up behind them, and clapped his hands loudly together, startling them both.

“You guys got scared from that?” Justin asked playfully.

“Well yeah!” Calrin replied, spinning around.

Justin smirked and pointed towards the slide. “Were you guys about to go on Cliff Diver? It's a rush!”

“No way, it's scary!” Derek replied.

“Well... where do you wanna go?” Kevin asked.

“Well, we can all fit in a raft for Dr. VonDark's Tunnel of Terror,  or The Bootlegger...” Derek replied dejectedly.

Justin cocked a brow at Derek and stood there. Richie was the one who spoke up to end the silence.

“Hey, actually, I just remembered something!” The raccoon blurted out.

The group turned to him. In slight confusion. Richie grinned and pointed down the way.

“You guys know about Surf City, the wavepool?” He started, “Well, I heard there's a spot there where nobody can see you and you can still get splashed with all the waves.”

“...why would you bring that up?” Derek asked.

“Well...” Richie explained, “I like that kind of thing, but all the people around, you miss most of the good splashes and waves.”

“Could be neat.” Calrin stated, shrugging a bit.

“Let's go then!” Justin exclaimed.

As soon as he called that out, Justin darted off, running south. The other boys gave pursuit, not having to go very far. Surf City was a big wave pool, with a faux rock formation at the back of it, which was where the waves started coming in once they were generated.

“We have to go all the way to the back... I think.” Richie said with a grimace, scratching his head.

“Well we don't have to.” Kevin stated. “It's Derek's birthday, it's his choice.”

Derek looked around at everyone, and then at the pool. “...I'm curious, let's go.”

As Derek went forward, the other cubs followed. There were a surprising amount of people in the wave pool, but considering it was the middle of Fall, very few people were probably at beaches. After making it all the way to the back, the boys looked up. They saw water poring down from the top, and the sprinkles of a fountain pit-patting down around them.

“Ok... now what?” Derek asked.

Richie looked around, hoping for any gap or something, but his face falling as he couldn't seem to find anything.

“...I guess there isn't really anything.” The raccoon stated.

“...And what exactly are you lot planning on doing?”

The cubs quickly turned around to see who the adult addressing them was. Their eyes met two adults, a grey raccoon and a white rabbit with black splotches on his ears and left eye.

“Dad!” Kevin blurted out. “What are you doing here?”

“...Tailing you so we know you're safe.” Ayers Snowpaw replied, adjusting his glasses.

“It might be a water park, but we can't just let the kids run around willy nilly, ya know?” Greg Mathis added.

“Right!” Calrin replied.

“So... what are you kids trying to do?” Ayers asked.

“Well, Mr. Snowpaw,” Derek started, “Richie mentioned a spot over here where no one can see us so we can play in Surf City without getting bumped around by all the people... but we can't find it.”

Ayers and Greg looked at each other before turning back to the group. “Ok, guys,” Greg began, “All that's back there is machinery. You don't want to go there.”

“So then...?” Richie prodded.

Greg glanced at the young badger and sighed a bit. “Well, Barrier Reef is closed for repairs. You can sneak in there if you want, but if you get caught, it's on you.”

“...I think we should go!” Justin exclaimed.

“Well, I dunno...” Calrin protested.

“...Cally, it's just slides. Probably not even really broken!” Justin replied.

“I'm down.” Richie said with a shrug.

“Sure.” Kevin chimed in.

Ayers nodded a bit and motioned a paw. “It's right next to Alien Invasion.”

The cubs ran off immediately after hearing that. Greg and Ayers stood there, watching their sons and their friends run off.

“...Think they're gonna do anything?” Ayers asked.

“Not with Derek, he doesn't know.” Greg replied.

Ayers nodded in reply and kept watching. After a few seconds of mutual silence...

“...Mammoth River?”

“Ok, but we're a couple if anyone asks.” Greg replied with a smirk.

Ayers rolled his eyes and started walking. “Go to hell, Greg.”

“Already am.” The raccoon replied.

As the cubs approached the site of the ride, they saw the big wooden fence around it. Barrier Reef's two purple slides could still be visible from the top of the fence though, as could the shark head that decorated the area.

“Wonder why it's closed...” Derek pondered.

“Care to find out?” Justin asked, motioning towards a gap in the fencing.

Derek nodded defiantly and went through first, the other cubs following suit. When they got inside, they saw that there was nothing wrong in appearance, as the water was still flowing, and the slides themselves were still intact. Thankfully, there was still enough space between the fence and the edge of the exit pool that they were able to stand around it.

“Nobody's here!” Justin exclaimed, slipping into the water.

“Justin, get out of there!” Calrin protested.

“Why? The water's fine, and no one's here to stop me.” Justin replied, sticking his tongue out.

Derek rolled his eyes and looked around. “Just get out.”

“No.” Justin reaffirmed, swimming about.

Calrin sighed and knelt down on the edge, before slipping in himself.

“Yay, Cally's in!” Justin replied as he pulled Calrin close.

Calrin blushed a bit and nodded, turning towards his friends. Richie and Kevin shrugged at each other before joining themselves, with Derek being the straggler.

“Ok, now we're all in the water... now what?” Derek asked.

Justin swam around them in a circle as he thought about what to do. It only took him a few seconds before his face turned even more mischievous.

“Well...” The red fox proposed, “I say we... celebrate having this spot to ourselves...”

Richie's face lit up with anticipation, and Kevin giggled a bit as he got the idea. “You mean...?” they asked in unison.

“Oh yeah.” Justin nodded, grinning wide.

“Oh no...” Calrin whined.

...And then Calrin yipped as he felt something intrude in his swim trunks. Justin had worked his paw down the back of Calrin's swimwear, and was prodding at his tailhole with a finger. Derek saw how Calrin reacted and swam up.

“What are you doing to him, Justin?!” The badger demanded.

“Oh, relax, birthday boy.” Justin said, still prodding his blushing and whimpering friend, “I'm not hurting him.”

“J-Justin...” Calrin moaned out, squirming a bit.

“W-what... what is it?” The badger asked again.

“See, Derek,” Justin started explaining, “A while back, I went to visit Cally while his parents were out, and we started to play a few... naked games. Soon we got involved with Richie, and then Kevin when he moved in, and we learned a lot more from them.”

“Naked... games?” The young badger prodded.

“Yeah...” Kevin nodded, with his mouth open.

Derek gasped as he saw that Kevin's Speedo had already been peeled off and tossed onto the pavement, leaving him completely naked as Richie stroked his little bunnyhood.

“H-how... many people know about this?” Derek continued to ask.

“Let's see...” Richie recounted as he grinded his crotch against Kevin's bum. “There's my dad, my brothers, Kevin's parents, and... Jaime Renaldo.”

“Unfortunately...” Justin grumbled under his breath.

Derek nodded slowly and continued to watch the naughty build up. Derek took note that Kevin was wearing a red collar with a bell on it, something he'd never seen him wear before. Kevin explained it as his mom having something to find him with if they got separated.

As the badger continued to watch, Calrin and Richie were relieved of their trunks. Calrin yipped a little and slipped up towards Derek, looking him in the eyes. “You don't have to do this, Derek...”

the badger nodded a bit. “I know, but... if those three really needed to let this out, then... well, I should at least experience it once.”

The yellow fox nodded slowly and grabbed onto the hem of Derek's yellow swim trunks, and tore at the velcro, slowly pulling them down as Derek watched. Calrin gulped a little and nudged Derek's leg. The badger got the hint and got out of the water, sitting on the edge. The yellow fox gulped a bit and swam forward, giving Derek one last glance before he started to lean forward and lap at Derek's sheath. The badger gasped loudly and lurched forward a bit.

“That... feels weird.” Derek said, blushing immediately.

Calrin stopped and nodded slowly. “I know, it feels weird at first, but then it gets really good.”

Calrin resumed dragging his tongue along Derek's groin, the young badger moaning and shifting a bit, his little member sliding out, grinding against Calrin's muzzle. The yellow fox felt it and blushed a little more, lifting his muzzle up and sliding it down over Derek's stiffy, slurping on it with a bit of eagerness. The badger huffed and clumsily grabbed onto Calrin's ears, patting and squeezing them as his friend sucked on him. His eyes darted over towards Justin, Richie, and Kevin, and what he saw made him gasp.

“You're sure?” The curious yellow fox asked.

“Yeah...” Derek hesitated. “I want you to do to me what... Justin's doing.”

Derek blushed and turned away after saying that. Calrin blinked in surprise, and rubbed the back of his head.

“I... don't usually get to do that.” The yellow fox stated, “But if you want me to... then sure.”

Derek nodded a bit and dipped back into the water, turning his back towards Calrin and resting his arms on the edge.

“Is there... anything I need to... ya know... do?” He asked.

Calri shook his head and looked down at Derek's rump. “Um... no... but... well, it's going to hurt a bit... the first usually does.”

The badger winced a bit and frowned. “Will it be bad?”

Calrin shook his head as he slipped up behind Derek. “...We're in the water, so... maybe not as much.” He explained, before slowly working a finger up Derek's hole.

The badger gasped sharply and closed his eyes tight, leaning over the edge of pool and squirming, the water splashing up against him. “What is that?” he asked between gasps.

Calrin jolted a bit at the response, but worked his figner around still inside Derek's tailhole. “I put my finger... in you... to loosen you up.”

“...Ah... right... ok...” Derek replied, biting his lip a little.

Calrin decided that he had worked his finger enough, and slowly pulled it out, the finger making a popping noise when it left his friend's tailhole. “...Yes, Justin?” Derek replied.

“I, uh... know you don't like me a lot... so it means a lot that you didn't go running off to tell a parent...”

Derek blinked and looked down at the ground. “You really shouldn't have done something like that with me around. But... I'll keep your secret.”

“Really?” Justin asked, surprised.

“Not for your sake.” The badger stated, “For everyone else's.”

The other cubs smiled warmly and adjusted themselves. As they finished cleaning up, their ears perked up as they heard a door open and voices talking. That's when they remembered it was a construction site, and promptly left. When they exited, they noticed familiar faces at the sunbathing area next to Barrier Reef.

“...Mom?” Calrin asked.

Olivia lifted her sunglasses and smiled at her son. “Oh, Calrin! Greg and Ayers told us they were watching you guys.”

“And indeed we were!” Greg replied as he and Ayers ran up. “Sorry, we went to the bathroom and the kids ran off.”

Olivia sighed. “Well, at least they're safe... I heard a lot of weird noises coming from the closed ride just now.

Greg and Ayers glanced at each other, the bunny's glasses drooping a bit. “Oh?” they both asked.

Olivia nodded and pet her son's head. “Go have fun, boys.” Her eyes drifted back up to the adult males. “Keep a better eye on them, ok?”

“Aye, Aye, Captain.” Ayers replied, giving a salute.

“You were never in the navy, daddy!” Kevin said with a giggle.

Ayers quickly scooped up his son and playfully ruffled his son's hair. “Neither were you, private Snowpaw.”

Kevin giggled and jumped out of his dad's arms. Olivia smiled and went back to her sun bathing as Greg and Ayers took the kids off. After all, there were plenty of more rides to experience at the park.
