Anyway, yeah! story time! In this one, Calrin and Justin get brought to the beach for fun in the sun! But a run-in with Jay forces some interesting things to go on.

Often associated with tropical states like Florida and California, few people realize that beaches stretch all along each coast. The people in the car headed towards one, did, though.\n\n“Thanks for taking us to the beach, Mrs. Bolfrey!” Red-furred Justin Daniels said with a giggle.\n\nOlivia Bolfrey, the yellow furred mother of Calrin smiled and nodded her head. “Of course. You boys are lucky I had off on a Saturday for once.”\n\nCalrin giggled and hugged onto the beach ball he was holding in his lap. He, like Justin next to him, was only wearing a bathing suit and a pair of sandals.\n\n“It's been forever since we went to the beach!” He said, grinning.\n\n“Well it's been too cold the last six months, sweetie.” Olivia explained.\n\n“Cold, schmold!” Justin chimed in.\n\nThe yellow female smiled into the rear-view mirror as she watched her son and his friend laugh together, before she pulled into a parking lot and stopped.\n\n“We're here!” Olivia proclaimed, undoing her seatbelt. Before she could take any other action, the two boys were bolting out of the car.\n\n“Hold on, boys!” Olivia called out, much to their obvious chagrin, “Don't go running off without me!”\n\nJustin sighed and pouted, crossing his arms. “But we're heeeeeeeeeere!”\n\nCalrin rolled his eyes and pat his friend on the back. “And we have plenty of time for fun, Justin!”\n\nThe red fox looked towards his friend and smirked. “Yeah, you're right, Cally.”\n\nOlivia smiled and tied her long, brown hair back. “Now then, you almost forgot the ball.” She reminded them, as she grabbed the giant, blue-and-white ball from the back and tossed it at her son, who barely managed to catch it.\n\n“Thanks, mom!” Calrin replied.\n\nBefore Olivia could reply, Justin had grabbed onto Calrin's arm, and the two cubs were scampering down the path to the beach itself. She just shook her head and saddled up with her beach bag before making her way down as well.\n\nThe beach itself was quite packed. Furs of all kind and age were playing in the water, making sandcastles, there were even a few volleyball games going on. The cubs looked around in bliss, unsure of what to do first.\n\n“I wanna go in the water!” Justin bellowed, grinning wide. “I'm going to catch a jellyfish!”\n\n“Justin, you can't do that!” Calrin told his friend, nervously smiling.\n\n“Well why not?” Justin asked.\n\n“Because,” a girl's voice called out, “They sting, genius.”\n\nThe fox party turned immediately towards the source of the voice, Calrin and Justin drooping as they saw who it was. Olivia, however, was more receptive.\n\n“Miguel! Carmen!” The adult fox greeted, giving them a wave. “Fancy running into you guys out here.”\n\nCarmen, a ferret like the rest of her family, but with dark blonde hair, gave a brief chuckle and nodded. “It seemed like a good day to bring the [i]hijos[/i] out.”\n\nMiguel adjusted his glasses and smiled. “Plus any excuse to get a bit of home again is one we'll take, even if just weather.”\n\nOlivia giggled out of courtesy at the comment. “Well, as long as you're here, I'm sure our kids won't... mind...”\n\nHer voice trailed off as the adults looked down, and saw the children staring daggers at each other.\n\n“Justin.” The ferret girl scoffed.\n\n“Jay.” The red fox curtly replied.\n\n“You boys gonna be ok in this heat?” Jay teasingly sneered.\n\n“Dunno, we're lasting this long.” Justin annoyingly shot back.\n\nCalrin whined and tried to get between the two of them. “Guys, knock it off! We came to have fun! Let's have fun!”\n\nOlivia sighed and nodded at her son. “He's right.” She said, turning back towards the Renaldo family, “Why don't we hang out together? I'm sure seeing more of each other will get these two to get along.”\n\n“I'd rather die.” Jay stated, turning away from Justin.\n\n“Ditto.” Justin replied, doing the same, and crossing his arms.\n\n“[i]Jaime![/i]” Miguel called out. “Be nice!”\n\nThe yellow female rubbed the back of her head. “You can't just dismiss her just because she's a girl, Justin. I'm a girl. Your mom's a girl.”\n\n“T-that's different!” Justin turned to call up. “You guys aren't anything like Jay!”\n\n“Well, we're older, yes, but we're still female.” Olivia explained.\n\n“That's right, Justin!” Jay triumphantly exlaimed, “Girls rule!”\n\n“Stuff it, [i]Jaime.[/i]” Justin growled.\n\n“Make me,[i] Justin.[/i]” Jay retorted.\n\n“[i]SUFICIENTE![/i]” Carmen yelled out, making everyone, including the strangers in the immediate area, jump up.\n\n“Carmen!” Miguel and Olivia blurted out in unison.\n\n“You two are constantly bickering with each other. So guess what? You're going to play together whether you like it or not!” She commanded, her arms crossed, a stern look on her face.\n\nCalrin's ears drooped and he whimpered as he turned to his mom. “Mom... you don't [i]agree[/i] with this... do you?”\n\nOlivia knelt down, her paws resting on her son's bare shoulders. “I do. You can make this work, I'm sure of it... I'm sorry.”\n\nCalrin whined and nodded slowly. “It's fine, mom... with me, but...”\n\nHis gaze turned to Justin and Jay, who where staring daggers at each other. Olivia frowned and kissed her son's forehead.\n\n“Keep them from killing each other. Should be easy.” Olivia said, only slightly playfully.\n\nCalrin gulped and looked up towards Jay's parents, who were talking with Jay in a language he didn't understand. But whatever they were talking about, it wasn't making the young ferret girl happy. After a brief argument, Jay nodded her head and gave Justin a brief glance, making the red fox turn away. Olivia frowned and stood up, adressing Miguel and Carmen.\n\n“You know, there's a good place I saw on the way here, if you guys want to check it out.”\n\n“You really want to leave the kids alone, though?” Miguel said, “It's not... I mean, it doesn't sound smart.”\n\nOlivia nodded and pat Calrin on the head. “Normally I'd agree with you, but me and Henry have raised Calrin to be very responsible, and we leave him home alone most of the time.”\n\n“...Really?” Carmen questioned, a curious brow being raised.\n\n“Really, really!” Calrin chimed in.\n\nJay, in brief panic, tugged at her mom's leg. “Mama, no!”\n\n“[i]Silencio[/i].” Carmen replied sternly, cowing the young girl.\n\n“Well,” Miguel spoke up, “Let us be on our way!”\n\nWith parting hugs and kisses, the adults walked away, leaving the three cubs alone together on the beach, tension thick in the air. Calrin looked between the two of them nervously before finally speaking up.\n\n“So...”\n\n“So what?” Jay questioned.\n\n“Yeah, what's up, Cally?” Justin asked, annoyance still in his tone.\n\n“What do you guys want to do?”\n\nThe two just looked at the yellow fox for a brief second before taking over each other.\n\n“Nothing with [i]her[/i]!”\n“Nothing with [i]him[/i]!”\n\nThe yellow fox frowned and kicked at the sand a little. “Well, we have to do something...”\n\nWithout missing a beat, the fox and ferret said what they wanted to do... at the same time.\n\n“Sandcastles!”\n“Volleyball!”\n\nJustin and Jay shot each other glares and tried again.\n\n“Swimming!”\n“The ball!”\n\nSecond verse, same as the first.\n\nCalrin sighed and dropped onto the sand, curling around his beach ball. “This isn't gonna work out...” He whined, his ears drooping.\n\n“Of course not!” Jay shot out, “I'm stuck here with Justin!”\n\n“You think I wanna be here with you?” Justin snapped back.\n\nCalrin balled up even more as the two started a very heated argument. They argued at school, yes, but this was a totally different thing. They were forced to spend actual time together, a very bad proposition.\n\n“I'd rather not be anywhere near you!”\n\n“You got that right! I don't want to hang around bullies.”\n\nJay scoffed, “I'm a bully? That's a lot coming from [i]you[/i].”\n\nJustin raised a brow and huffed. “What do you mean?”\n\n“I've seen how you treat Calrin.” Jay explained, “You constantly drag him along on whatever crazy adventure you want to do, and shut him up whenever he objects.”\n\n“Hey, I listen to him!” Justin snapped, “Tell her, Cally! I listen!”\n\nAs he turned to his yellow friend, the red fox's expression fell. Calrin was balled up, sniffling, tearlets in his eyes. He didn't even seem to notice that he was addressed.\n\n“Cally?” Justin asked again, more concerned.\n\nThe ferret sighed and walked over, patting Calrin's shoulders. “You see how he gets? This is exactly what I mean.”\n\n“I-I-I... [b]*sniff* [/b]J-just wanted... [b]*sniff*[/b] t-to [b]*sniff*[/b] have fun. But you- [b]*sniff*[/b] you- [b]*sniff*[/b] you both ruined it!” Calrin blurted out between sobs.\n\nThe sudden outburst made the other two cubs turn to each other and sigh.\n\n“Cally... do you really think I'm too bossy?” Justin asked, kneeling down in front of his friend.\n\nCalrin turned away and sniffled some more. “You always push me, even when I say no... for everything. And ever since we discovered naked play, you've gotten worse about it...”\n\n“Calrin...” Jay said, starting to sound concerned now.\n\n“Cally, how long have you felt like this?” Justin questioned.\n\n“A while now...” Calrin replied. “I know I'm shy, and dull...” He continued, “And I always get scared and careful... you just disregard that.”\n\n“I'm just trying to help you...” The red fox whined out.\n\n“Help?!” Calrin shot out, turning so that his aqua-colored eyes were locked with Justin's golden, “How does arguing with Jay every time you two are together [i]help[/i] me?!”\n\nJustin was shocked and jolted back to standing by the second outburst, and bit his lip. “She's just so...”\n\n“So what?” Jay asked, getting annoyed.\n\n“[i][b]STOP IT![/b][/i]”\n\nJay and Justin jumped a little as Calrin full on yelled at them. He bundled up more as he continued to rant.\n\n“Please, no more arguing...” The yellow fox pleaded, grabbing onto his tail as it curled around his legs.\n\nThe red kit and the ferret stared each other down for a few seconds, before finally turning back to Calrin.\n\n“Alright, Cally-” The red fox stopped himself and shook his head. “Cal[i]rin[/i].” Justin told his friend, smiling and kneeling back down, offering a paw. “I'll try to get along with Jay.”\n\nJay sighed and offered her own paw. “Me too.”\n\nCalrin looked up at the two, wiping away his tears. “You mean it?”\n\n“I'm using your real name, Calrin, of course I mean it! I'll even take your feelings into consideration more.” Justin warmly reaffirmed, an inviting smile on his face.\n\nJay, likewise, nodded, her expression soft, “No more yelling.”\n\nThe yellow fox finally smiled again and took their paws, sing them to help himself back up. The instant he was standing again, he pulled Justin into a tight hug, surprising him.\n\n“Thank you...” He said, sniffling once more before he stopped crying.\n\nJustin blinked for a bit, still surprised, before giving off a small giggle and a slight grin.\n\n“Alright, alright,” He said, patting Calrin's back gently, “You're getting embarrassing now, Cally.”\n\nCalrin giggled a bit and let go, rubbing the back of his head. “Sorry!”\n\nJustin giggled more and ruffled Calrin's hair while Jay rolled her eyes, slightly amused.\n\n“Ok,” She spoke up, reminding them that she was there, “No more fighting. Now what?”\n\nThe red fox shrugged a bit and looked around. “Well, I wasn't expecting to be let loose today. But...” He trailed off.\n\n“But?” Calrin and Jay asked simultaneously.\n\n“Well, the other day, when mom and dad took me and Alex here,” Justin began, “I saw a giant wall of sand, like, [i]super[/i] big!” Justin demonstrated by lifting his paws far above his head, “It blocked off some of the beach. Dad found me and pulled me away, but it looked like nobody was using it. Can't even see anything behind it unless you're, like, right on the corner.”\n\n“It's a private beach, then.” Jay said, “Daddy told me about them. People buy or build a house or something on the beach, and then buy the beach behind it for whatever they want to do.”\n\n“Well!” Justin chimed up, his grin growing, “It didn't look like anyone was using it! Want to check it out?”\n\nCalrin whined and shifted a little, “But what if we get caught? The guy might be mean about it.”\n\nJustin sighed, remembering the conversation from earlier, “Don't worry, Cally. It was just a thought.”\n\n“All the same...” Jay said, the ferret girl shrugging her shoulders, “I am kind of curious.”\n\nJustin blinked and raised a brow. “You are, are you?”\n\nJay stuck her tongue out and smirked, “Sure am.”\n\nThe two looked at Calrin, who glanced back and forth at both of them, before smiling slightly. “Well... I don't mind the excitement on my life.”\n\nJustin smirked and motioned a paw. “Follow me then!”\n\nCalrin scooped his beach ball back up and followed the other two cubs as they bobbed and weaved through the beach, avoiding balls, surfers, and other people running about. They finally reached the giant wall of sand Justin mentioned, and he turned to them with a grin.\n\n“Told ya!” He giddily replied.\n\nCalrin and Jay looked up at the mound and giggled together, making Justin tilt his head.\n\n“What? It's real!” He said defensively.\n\n“We know it is.” Jay said. “But-”\n\n“It's not sand, it's sand[i]stone[/i].” Calrin finished.\n\n“...What?” The confused red fox asked.\n\n“It's like sand, but it's a rock.” Calrin explained.\n\n“Ohhh... don't care!” Justin exclaimed before disappearing around the edge.\n\nCalrin and Jay just shared a look of exasperation at Justin's attitude before joining him on the private beach. It was extremely pristine, with no trash to be found, and well maintained. Further up the way was a house with a giant patio, and the back of the entire first floor being glass. On the other side of the property was another sandstone wall, cutting a nice chunk of the beach. The three cubs looked around in amazement at the place.\n\n“This place is really cool...” Jay said, looking around.\n\n“Nice, quiet...” Calrin added.\n\n“And no people!” Justin added, grinning wide.\n\nCalrin sighed and smiled a bit. “We got lucky, Justin.”\n\nThe red fox giggled and spun around. “Did we? No one probably even[i] owns[/i] this place yet!”\n\n“Doesn't mean people still can't come by.” Jay stated.\n\n“So?” Justin asked. “We can do whatever we want here!”\n\nJay's eyes widened a bit as what Justin meant by those words hit her. “Oh no...”\n\nJustin gave Jay a curious look. “What's up?”\n\n“You wanna do [i]that[/i] stuff, don't you?” She asked him.\n\nCalrin whined and curled his tail around his body. “I hope not...”\n\nJustin rolled his eyes and threw his paws up, but quite clearly jokingly. “Oh darn, I got found out.”\n\nJay scoffed and crossed her arms. “Honestly. That seems to be the only thing you want to do anymore.”\n\n“That's not true.” Justin retorted, Just when there's no adults around to stop us!”\n\nCalrin whimpered and looked around. “But we're not even supposed to be here!”\n\n“And this is an open area! People can find us!” Jay added.\n\n“Which is why we gotta be quick!” Justin replied, slipping around behind Jay. “You can't dress us in any girly clothes this time either.”\n\nJay spun around to face Justin. “I don't want any part in this anyway!”\n\n“Why?
