Calrin yawned and looked out towards his window… and then a wide smile formed on his face, and he jumped out of bed!\n\n“It’s Christmas!” Calrin yelled excitedly before running straight to his parents’ room. He jumped onto their bed and grinned, giggling and bouncing until they woke up.\n\n“Wake up wake up wake up!” The yellow fox cub said excitedly. Calrin’s parents sat up in bed and tiredly hugged onto their son.\n\n“Easy, Calrin… good morning, and Merry Christmas…” Henry said, yawning as he smiled and patted his son’s head. Olivia kissed her son’s forehead and hugged him.\n\n“Did you sleep well?” Olivia asked her son.\n\nCalrin nodded eagerly, giving a beaming smile. “I sure did mom!” was his ecstatic reply.\n\nHenry smiled and got out of bed, yawning and stretching a bit. “Well,” he began, “No since sitting around up here… let’s get going downstairs.”\n\nOlivia nodded and got up too, grabbing her bathrobe and putting it on. When they were all ready to go downstairs, they realized that Calrin was no longer in the room. The cub’s parents turned to each other and laughed before making their way downstairs. There Calrin was, already in the living room, eagerly awaiting the chance to start opening presents, his tail wagging impatiently behind him.\n\n“There you guys are!” Calrin yelled out. “Can I start opening presents now?!”\n\nHenry rolled his eyes bemusedly and nodded, fetching up his phone before going over to the couch to sit down with Olivia.\n\n“Alright, go ahead and get started, Calrin.” The yellow female said.\n\nCalrin was quick in going through his presents, but he took the time to appreciate and gush over every single one he got. The big one this year was rather impressive: A Wii U system, bundled with [i]Wonderful 101[/i]. The little cub went positively nuts with excitement when he unwrapped it. But that was just one of many gifts. Others were: clothing, shirts, pants, and whatnot, typical things, a [i]TransFormers Prime: Beast Hunters[/i] Optimus Prime toy, [i]Pokemon Y[/i], as he already had [i]X[/i], a set of Nerf guns, a Velcro-strap digital watch, and the new [i]Lego Marvel[/i] game for the Wii U. Once Calrin was done opening all of his gifts, it was time for his parents to open theirs. \n\nFrom Henry, Olivia had received a new hard leather briefcase, with a secondary slide-out compartment, and her name embossed on the front. The female was in complete shock and hugged her husband tightly, giving him a deep, loving kiss, which Henry smiled at and returned. Her gift from Calrin was a silver necklace, simple, but bright, sapping all of the cub’s allowance money to get. She hugged her son and told him that she was very lucky to have a son like him.\n\nFrom Olivia, Henry received an iPad Mini, and as a bonus, Olivia had already loaded several of Henry’s favorite books onto it. Calrin joined in on the fun and got Henry a sky blue rubber iPad case, with a dark blue accent. The fox clearly enjoyed his present, and hugged his wife and son.\n\nAfter the gifts were exchanged, the family had a breakfast of fresh cinnamon rolls. While they were eating, the doorbell rang, and Henry went to go answer it. Standing at the door was a white bunny cub, wearing a sky blue snow jacket, a blue wool-knit cap on his head, with his ears flopping under it, tan-colored pants, and black snow boots.\n\n“Hi there, Mr. Calrin’s dad! Can Calrin play?” The boy asked.\n\n“Hi there, Kevin. And it’s Mr. Bolfrey, not Mr. Calrin’s dad!” Henry replied with a chuckle. “We’re just finishing breakfast, so if you wouldn’t mind-”\n\nCalrin running up and grinning, tossing on his lime-green snow jacket as he joined Kevin outside interrupted Henry. “I’m done though, dad! I wanna hang out with my friends before the party later!”\n\nHenry blinked and stared. “Well… did your mother-”\n\n“Yes, I did.” Olivia said, cutting him off yet again. Henry sighed and smiled before sending his son off.\n\nWhen Calrin and Kevin were outside, they started running down the street.\n\n“Kind of surprised you came to get me instead of Richie or Justin.”\n\nKevin grinned and teased his new friend, “What, the new kid can’t get his friends to come out and play?” The bunny giggled a bit. “Besides, Justin’s probably-”\n\n“Right here!” a voice from behind them said, tackling both of them into the snow. Kevin and Calrin went down easily, plopping into the snow on the cub. When they looked up, they saw Justin on top of them, with Richie standing behind him, laughing.\n\n“I tried to stop him!” The raccoon said, still laughing. Justin jumped off of his friends and pulled them off.\n\n“Sorry about that guys!” Justin apologized. “I’m just so excited!”\n\nCalrin rolled his eyes and smiled. “So you [i]tackle[/i] us?”\n\nKevin giggled and clapped a bit. “Don’t worry about it! Let’s just talk about what gifts we got!”\n\nRichie giggled a bit and stepped up. “Me first! I got a 3DS, and [i]Pokemon Y[/i], I got… um… a lightsaber toy! A [i]Spider-Man[/i] comic! New skates, Thew new [i]Mario[/i] game and…” Richie looked around before motioning for his friends to lean in, “I also got some new lube…”\n\nKevin grinned and giggled a bit. “Well then… it’s my turn! Wait here!” Kevin ran off back to his house, which was just across the street. About a minute later, he came riding out on a silver-colored scooter, skidding to a stop in front of his front. “Neat, huh?” He asked his friends.\n\n“That’s so awesome!” Justin said, while Calrin and Richie stared in awe.\n\nKevin giggled and hopped off it, knocking the kickstand into place. “Yep! It’s awesome! I got a bunch of other stuff too, but I really love this thing!” And then a devious grin formed on the bunny’s face. “But that’s not [i]all[/i] I got…” \n\nCalrin looked up and tilted his head. “What are you…”\n\nThe bunny pulled all three cubs in and snickered, pulling something out of his pocket. It was a shaped like a carrot, and had a wire, which connected it to an orange-colored remote.\n\n“Is that a…” Richie started to say. Kevin picked up the rest and nodded quickly.\n\n“It sure is! Gift from both parents!” The bunny said, giving a wide, eyes-closed smile. “Just don’t go around telling everyone, k?”\n\nEveryone nodded, and Richie chimed in. “Bet you’re gonna use it a lot, huh, Kev?”\n\nKevin laughed and winked at Richie. “Who says I haven’t already?”\n\nThe cubs all shared a laugh at that as Justin started to talk about his gifts.\n\n“I got a bike, [i]Pokemon X[/i], a basketball hoop, with a ball, of course!” Justin said, “Let’s sew… the new [i]Legend of Zelda[/i], and season one of [i]Adventure Time[/i] on DVD!” \n\nAfter all was said and done, the cubs decided to get their bikes out and have a race! They raced down the hill, to the intersection in front of Mr. Halderton’s house. Try as they might, Justin’s new bike was able to outmatch all of them, and he wound up winning.\n\n“That bike is unreal!” Calrin said, moping and resting on his bike.\n\nJustin grinned and gave a triumphant fist pump. The cubs laughed a little and went back up to back to Richie’s house. Greg and Caitlyn, Richie’s parents, were preparing for a party, so they let the boys alone in the living room, playing [i]Mario Kart[/i] and [i]Super Smash Bros.[/i] on the Wii. This continued for a while, until Greg stepped up, and told the cubs that they had to get ready for the party.\n\nAs it turns out, the party was a big dinner that Calrin’s parents were hosting, so that’s where everyone started to congregate around 4PM. For cubs, it was a great time to play together and just have fun with all of their presents. For the adults, it was a time to unwind after the holiday season.\n\nThe house was soon filled with Calrin’s grandparents from both sides, Olivia’s brother and sister, Henry’s brother, and all of their respective offspring; as well as the Mathis family, and the Daniels family. It was here that Calrin received more family gifts: from his paternal grandparents he got $20 and a Toys R Us gift car. From his maternal grandparents he got a Regular Show tee-shirt. From each set of aunts and uncles he got the following: [i]TransFormers Prime[/i] Megatron, a [i]Doctor Who[/i] TARDIS cookie jar, and a copy of [i]Meet the Groods[/i] on DVD.\n\nDinner was an interesting affair, as some guests had brought additions to it. The dinner, as it stood now, was two hams, a bowl of salad, a giant bowl of mashed potatoes, an apple crumble, and corn pie, served with apple cider, and beers for the adults. There was so much chatter going on that no one conversation could be started without two others starting up at the same time.\n\nAfter dinner, the adults cleaned up the table, while Calrin, his cousins, and his friends went outside to play. They wound up having a snowman contest, which Justin wound up winning, naturally. Then they decided to do some gaming on Calrin’s new Wii U, which ate up a lot of hours. But alas, it was time for the party to end, and everyone started leaving. Before the Daniels left though, Justin had something to ask his parents.\n\n“Can I sleep over here tonight?”\n\nPatrick and Melanie turned to each other before smiling and nodding. “Sure you can.” Patrick replied, “We’ll be back with your things.”\n\n“Yay!” Justin cheered, “Thanks guys!”\n\nHenry cleared his throat. “Um… Patrick, you have to talk to us about stuff like that first. I mean, of course we’ll say yes, but it’s still polite to ask.”\n\nPatrick chuckled and nodded a bit. “Right! Sorry! About that.” Patrick kneeled down and placed a paw on his son’s shoulder and hugged him. “You be good, ok?”\n\nJustin grinned and hugged onto his dad. “Ok dad, love ya!”\n\nPatrick smiled and left with Melanie, returning shortly later to give Justin some sleepover gear before leaving for the night. Olivia looked towards the clock and nudged Henry.\n\n“Hun, it’s almost time.” She said.\n\nCalrin tilted his head with a confused look. “Time for what?”\n\nHenry snapped his fingers. “That’s right!” the arctic fox then turned to Calrin and smiled. “It’s almost time for the [i]Doctor Who[/i] thing, silly!”\n\nJustin just looked utterly lost. “Doctor… Who?”\n[center]\n----------------------------------A HALF HOUR LATER--------------------------------------[/center]\n\nJustin was sitting there bored as can be while the Bolfreys were all watching the TV excitedly. Sure, the presents and family dinners and stuff were nice, but Calrin always cherished the chance to get to watch Doctor Who with his family. And their eyes were drawn to the screen as Clara, the Doctor’s latest companion, and the Doctor had a conversation amid burning ruins.\n\n[i]“But you don’t die.” Clara said with determination, “You change – you pop right back with a new face.”\n\nThe Doctor turned right to her and held onto her shoulders. “Not forever. I can change 12 times: 13 versions of me. 13 silly Doctors.”\n\nThe gray fox raised an eyebrow as the Doctor started to explain things. “But you’re number eleven, so-“\n\nThe brown wolf interrupted her and shook his head. “Are we forgetting Captain Grumpy? I didn’t call myself ‘the Doctor’ during the Time War, but it was still a regeneration.”[/i]\n\n“I am so lost right now.” Justin protested. “Can’t we go upstairs now, Cally?”\n\nCalrin quickly turned to Justin and put a finger to his muzzle, a way of telling Justin to be quiet. Justin groaned and slouched in his spot as The Time of The Doctor continued on, much to his dismay. It was then that he decided that, if he couldn’t escape it, he might as well sleep through it, and just like that, he was off to sleep…\n\nJustin was quickly awoken a bit later when the Bolfreys started to get excited and emotional. Justin groaned and turned to the screen to see what was getting them so worked up…\n[i]\n“THE DOCTOR IS REGENERATING.” A Dalek called out as a bunch of them, and Cybermen, and Angels, and Silence turned towards a certain point…\n\nIn the middle of a field, there was the Doctor, bathing in a yellow light as he looked towards his fellow Time Lords through a crack in space and time.\n\n“Your next life shall be the next of a new cycle, Doctor… twelve more regenerations for the hero of Trenzalore… the savior of Gallifrey… thank you.”\n\nThe Doctor turned to Clara and gave a faint smile before exploding in a burst of light; his very form seemed to actually become the light itself. As all the various monsters and enemies convened on the spot… it was too late for them to stop it. As the light of regeneration faded, gone was the brown wolf that had been the Eleventh Doctor. Now stood a graying badger, his face worn with age.\n\n“So, Clara… how’s it look?” the voice of the Twelfth Doctor asked the fox. Clara could only give a small shrug before looking behind the Doctor.\n\n“I don’t think fashion should be your biggest concern right now, Doctor.”[/i]\n\nJustin sighed as the Doctor launched into a giant speech. To him, all of this was complete nonsense, but his best friend’s family was eating it up… The red fox looked at the clock, in hopes that the show would be ending soon, and that’s when his face lit up in a smile. He only had to put up with five more minutes!\n\n“So this is how the show’s been on so long?” Justin asked.\n\n“Yep!” Calrin giddily replied, not turning away from the TV.\n\nJustin frumped and sighed; he wasn’t able to get them to look away from the TV. Finally, after five long minutes, the end credits to the episode started playing.\n\n“Well, that was quite the emotional episode.” Henry said. He looked down at Calrin, who was still crying.\n\n“Are you gonna be alright, Calrin?” Olivia asked her son, in concerning tone.\n\n“The Doctor…” Calrin said, sniffling, “Eleven…”\n\nHenry smiled and scooped up his son, ruffling his hair. “If you’re this sad over this Doctor, you would have been worse off after sitting through Ten’s final episode.”\n\nCalrin sniffled and looked up at his dad. “But I wasn’t old enough for the show back then!”\n\nOlivia walked over and looked over her son, nodding. “We know that, but your father’s just saying that its still sad.”\n\nHenry nodded at Olivia. “Exactly! And besides, don’t be sad because it’s over, be happy because it happened!”\n\nCalrin smiled and nodded, hugging onto his father. “Thanks dad!”\n\nThe arctic fox chuckled and set his son down, patting his head. “You’re welcome, Calrin. Although now it’s bedtime for you and Justin, so get on up to your room. Me an your mom will be up shortly.”\n\n“Right! Let’s go, Justin!” Calrin said, running up to his room.\n\nJustin grinned and followed him upstairs. The instant they got into the room, Justin turned to Calrin.\n\n“You owe me, Cally.”\n\nCalrin tilted his head and looked genuinely confused. “I do? Why?”\n\nJustin jeered a thumb towards the hallway. “For making me sit through that dumb Doctor show.\n\nCalrin giggled and shrugged. “Wasn’t my fault, Justin. You wanted to sleepover tonight!”\n\nJustin rolled his eyes and climbed into bed, stretching out. “I know that! And I also know that-“\n\nThe red fox stopped when he heard steps in the hallway. He pulled Calrin into bed and flung the covers over their bodies. Olivia and Henry walked into the room and approached the bed, smiling.\n\n“Did you have a good Christmas, Calrin?” Olivia asked her son.\n\nThe yellow fox nodded. “I sure did, mom!”\n\n“How about you, Justin?” Henry asked his son’s friend.\n\nJustin smiled and gave a brief nod. “yup!”\n\nOlivia smiled and leaned down to give her son a kiss on his forehead, as did Henry.\n\n“Good night boys.” Olivia said as the parents started to head out. “Don’t let the bedbugs bite!” And with that, he flipped the lights off, and closed the door to the bedroom.\n\nImmediately as Calrin’s parents left the room, Justin grabbed onto Calrin and pulled him close, grinning wide.\n\n“So yeah,” Justin said, in a low, hushed tone. “You owe me.”\n\nCarlin squirmed and frowned, blushing a little. “Well… what did you want to do?”\n\nJustin rolled his eyes a little and slid his paw down the front of Calrin’s pajama pants, even the underwear, and rubbed over Calrin’s sheath, making the little yellow fox whimper and squirm.\n\n“N-now?” Calrin asked hesitantly.\n\nJustin nodded and started to unbutton Calrin’s pajama top, pulling it off him and setting it aside as he continued to stroke his friend’s fuzzy groin, making the yellow cub squirm and whine.\n\n“Nnnfggg…. Sunlight shone through Calrin’s window, filling the fox’s bedroom with its warm glow. Calrin yawned and looked out towards his window… and then a wide smile formed on his face, and he jumped out of bed!

“It’s Christmas!” Calrin yelled excitedly before running straight to his parents’ room. He jumped onto their bed and grinned, giggling and bouncing until they woke up.

“Wake up wake up wake up!” The yellow fox cub said excitedly. Calrin’s parents sat up in bed and tiredly hugged onto their son.

“Easy, Calrin… good morning, and Merry Christmas…” Henry said, yawning as he smiled and patted his son’s head. Olivia kissed her son’s forehead and hugged him.

“Did you sleep well?” Olivia asked her son.

Calrin nodded eagerly, giving a beaming smile. “I sure did mom!” was his ecstatic reply.

Henry smiled and got out of bed, yawning and stretching a bit. “Well,” he began, “No since sitting around up here… let’s get going downstairs.”

Olivia nodded and got up too, grabbing her bathrobe and putting it on. When they were all ready to go downstairs, they realized that Calrin was no longer in the room. The cub’s parents turned to each other and laughed before making their way downstairs. There Calrin was, already in the living room, eagerly awaiting the chance to start opening presents, his tail wagging impatiently behind him.

“There you guys are!” Calrin yelled out. “Can I start opening presents now?!”

Henry rolled his eyes bemusedly and nodded, fetching up his phone before going over to the couch to sit down with Olivia.

“Alright, go ahead and get started, Calrin.” The yellow female said.

Calrin was quick in going through his presents, but he took the time to appreciate and gush over every single one he got. The big one this year was rather impressive: A Wii U system, bundled with Wonderful 101. The little cub went positively nuts with excitement when he unwrapped it. But that was just one of many gifts. Others were: clothing, shirts, pants, and whatnot, typical things, a TransFormers Prime: Beast Hunters Optimus Prime toy, Pokemon Y, as he already had X, a set of Nerf guns, a Velcro-strap digital watch, and the new Lego Marvel game for the Wii U. Once Calrin was done opening all of his gifts, it was time for his parents to open theirs.

From Henry, Olivia had received a new hard leather briefcase, with a secondary slide-out compartment, and her name embossed on the front. The female was in complete shock and hugged her husband tightly, giving him a deep, loving kiss, which Henry smiled at and returned. Her gift from Calrin was a silver necklace, simple, but bright, sapping all of the cub’s allowance money to get. She hugged her son and told him that she was very lucky to have a son like him.

From Olivia, Henry received an iPad Mini, and as a bonus, Olivia had already loaded several of Henry’s favorite books onto it. Calrin joined in on the fun and got Henry a sky blue rubber iPad case, with a dark blue accent. The fox clearly enjoyed his present, and hugged his wife and son.

After the gifts were exchanged, the family had a breakfast of fresh cinnamon rolls. While they were eating, the doorbell rang, and Henry went to go answer it. Standing at the door was a white bunny cub, wearing a sky blue snow jacket, a blue wool-knit cap on his head, with his ears flopping under it, tan-colored pants, and black snow boots.

“Hi there, Mr. Calrin’s dad! Can Calrin play?” The boy asked.

“Hi there, Kevin. And it’s Mr. Bolfrey, not Mr. Calrin’s dad!” Henry replied with a chuckle. “We’re just finishing breakfast, so if you wouldn’t mind-”

Calrin running up and grinning, tossing on his lime-green snow jacket as he joined Kevin outside interrupted Henry. “I’m done though, dad! I wanna hang out with my friends before the party later!”

Henry blinked and stared. “Well… did your mother-”

“Yes, I did.” Olivia said, cutting him off yet again. Henry sighed and smiled before sending his son off.

When Calrin and Kevin were outside, they started running down the street.

“Kind of surprised you came to get me instead of Richie or Justin.”

Kevin grinned and teased his new friend, “What, the new kid can’t get his friends to come out and play?” The bunny giggled a bit. “Besides, Justin’s probably-”

“Right here!” a voice from behind them said, tackling both of them into the snow. Kevin and Calrin went down easily, plopping into the snow on the cub. When they looked up, they saw Justin on top of them, with Richie standing behind him, laughing.

“I tried to stop him!” The raccoon said, still laughing. Justin jumped off of his friends and pulled them off.

“Sorry about that guys!” Justin apologized. “I’m just so excited!”

Calrin rolled his eyes and smiled. “So you tackle us?”

Kevin giggled and clapped a bit. “Don’t worry about it! Let’s just talk about what gifts we got!”

Richie giggled a bit and stepped up. “Me first! I got a 3DS, and Pokemon Y, I got… um… a lightsaber toy! A Spider-Man comic! New skates, Thew new Mario game and…” Richie looked around before motioning for his friends to lean in, “I also got some new lube…”

Kevin grinned and giggled a bit. “Well then… it’s my turn! Wait here!” Kevin ran off back to his house, which was just across the street. About a minute later, he came riding out on a silver-colored scooter, skidding to a stop in front of his front. “Neat, huh?” He asked his friends.

“That’s so awesome!” Justin said, while Calrin and Richie stared in awe.

Kevin giggled and hopped off it, knocking the kickstand into place. “Yep! It’s awesome! I got a bunch of other stuff too, but I really love this thing!” And then a devious grin formed on the bunny’s face. “But that’s not all I got…”

Calrin looked up and tilted his head. “What are you…”

The bunny pulled all three cubs in and snickered, pulling something out of his pocket. It was a shaped like a carrot, and had a wire, which connected it to an orange-colored remote.

“Is that a…” Richie started to say. Kevin picked up the rest and nodded quickly.

“It sure is! Gift from both parents!” The bunny said, giving a wide, eyes-closed smile. “Just don’t go around telling everyone, k?”

Everyone nodded, and Richie chimed in. “Bet you’re gonna use it a lot, huh, Kev?”

Kevin laughed and winked at Richie. “Who says I haven’t already?”

The cubs all shared a laugh at that as Justin started to talk about his gifts.

“I got a bike, Pokemon X, a basketball hoop, with a ball, of course!” Justin said, “Let’s sew… the new Legend of Zelda, and season one of Adventure Time on DVD!”

After all was said and done, the cubs decided to get their bikes out and have a race! They raced down the hill, to the intersection in front of Mr. Halderton’s house. Try as they might, Justin’s new bike was able to outmatch all of them, and he wound up winning.

“That bike is unreal!” Calrin said, moping and resting on his bike.

Justin grinned and gave a triumphant fist pump. The cubs laughed a little and went back up to back to Richie’s house. Greg and Caitlyn, Richie’s parents, were preparing for a party, so they let the boys alone in the living room, playing Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. on the Wii. This continued for a while, until Greg stepped up, and told the cubs that they had to get ready for the party.

As it turns out, the party was a big dinner that Calrin’s parents were hosting, so that’s where everyone started to congregate around 4PM. For cubs, it was a great time to play together and just have fun with all of their presents. For the adults, it was a time to unwind after the holiday season.

The house was soon filled with Calrin’s grandparents from both sides, Olivia’s brother and sister, Henry’s brother, and all of their respective offspring; as well as the Mathis family, and the Daniels family. It was here that Calrin received more family gifts: from his paternal grandparents he got $20 and a Toys R Us gift car. From his maternal grandparents he got a Regular Show tee-shirt. From each set of aunts and uncles he got the following: TransFormers Prime Megatron, a Doctor Who TARDIS cookie jar, and a copy of Meet the Groods on DVD.

Dinner was an interesting affair, as some guests had brought additions to it. The dinner, as it stood now, was two hams, a bowl of salad, a giant bowl of mashed potatoes, an apple crumble, and corn pie, served with apple cider, and beers for the adults. There was so much chatter going on that no one conversation could be started without two others starting up at the same time.

After dinner, the adults cleaned up the table, while Calrin, his cousins, and his friends went outside to play. They wound up having a snowman contest, which Justin wound up winning, naturally. Then they decided to do some gaming on Calrin’s new Wii U, which ate up a lot of hours. But alas, it was time for the party to end, and everyone started leaving. Before the Daniels left though, Justin had something to ask his parents.

“Can I sleep over here tonight?”

Patrick and Melanie turned to each other before smiling and nodding. “Sure you can.” Patrick replied, “We’ll be back with your things.”

“Yay!” Justin cheered, “Thanks guys!”

Henry cleared his throat. “Um… Patrick, you have to talk to us about stuff like that first. I mean, of course we’ll say yes, but it’s still polite to ask.”

Patrick chuckled and nodded a bit. “Right! Sorry! About that.” Patrick kneeled down and placed a paw on his son’s shoulder and hugged him. “You be good, ok?”

Justin grinned and hugged onto his dad. “Ok dad, love ya!”

Patrick smiled and left with Melanie, returning shortly later to give Justin some sleepover gear before leaving for the night. Olivia looked towards the clock and nudged Henry.

“Hun, it’s almost time.” She said.

Calrin tilted his head with a confused look. “Time for what?”

Henry snapped his fingers. “That’s right!” the arctic fox then turned to Calrin and smiled. “It’s almost time for the Doctor Who thing, silly!”

Justin was sitting there bored as can be while the Bolfreys were all watching the TV excitedly. Sure, the presents and family dinners and stuff were nice, but Calrin always cherished the chance to get to watch Doctor Who with his family. And their eyes were drawn to the screen as Clara, the Doctor’s latest companion, and the Doctor had a conversation amid burning ruins.

“But you don’t die.” Clara said with determination, “You change – you pop right back with a new face.”

The Doctor turned right to her and held onto her shoulders. “Not forever. I can change 12 times: 13 versions of me. 13 silly Doctors.”

The gray fox raised an eyebrow as the Doctor started to explain things. “But you’re number eleven, so-“

The brown wolf interrupted her and shook his head. “Are we forgetting Captain Grumpy? I didn’t call myself ‘the Doctor’ during the Time War, but it was still a regeneration.”

“I am so lost right now.” Justin protested. “Can’t we go upstairs now, Cally?”

Calrin quickly turned to Justin and put a finger to his muzzle, a way of telling Justin to be quiet. Justin groaned and slouched in his spot as The Time of The Doctor continued on, much to his dismay. It was then that he decided that, if he couldn’t escape it, he might as well sleep through it, and just like that, he was off to sleep…

Justin was quickly awoken a bit later when the Bolfreys started to get excited and emotional. Justin groaned and turned to the screen to see what was getting them so worked up…

“THE DOCTOR IS REGENERATING.” A Dalek called out as a bunch of them, and Cybermen, and Angels, and Silence turned towards a certain point…

In the middle of a field, there was the Doctor, bathing in a yellow light as he looked towards his fellow Time Lords through a crack in space and time.

“Your next life shall be the next of a new cycle, Doctor… twelve more regenerations for the hero of Trenzalore… the savior of Gallifrey… thank you.”

The Doctor turned to Clara and gave a faint smile before exploding in a burst of light; his very form seemed to actually become the light itself. As all the various monsters and enemies convened on the spot… it was too late for them to stop it. As the light of regeneration faded, gone was the brown wolf that had been the Eleventh Doctor. Now stood a graying badger, his face worn with age.

“So, Clara… how’s it look?” the voice of the Twelfth Doctor asked the fox. Clara could only give a small shrug before looking behind the Doctor.

“I don’t think fashion should be your biggest concern right now, Doctor.”

Justin sighed as the Doctor launched into a giant speech. To him, all of this was complete nonsense, but his best friend’s family was eating it up…  The red fox looked at the clock, in hopes that the show would be ending soon, and that’s when his face lit up in a smile. He only had to put up with five more minutes!

“So this is how the show’s been on so long?” Justin asked.

“Yep!” Calrin giddily replied, not turning away from the TV.

Justin frumped and sighed; he wasn’t able to get them to look away from the TV. Finally, after five long minutes, the end credits to the episode started playing.

“Well, that was quite the emotional episode.” Henry said. He looked down at Calrin, who was still crying.

“Are you gonna be alright, Calrin?” Olivia asked her son, in concerning tone.

“The Doctor…” Calrin said, sniffling, “Eleven…”

Henry smiled and scooped up his son, ruffling his hair. “If you’re this sad over this Doctor, you would have been worse off after sitting through Ten’s final episode.”

Calrin sniffled and looked up at his dad. “But I wasn’t old enough for the show back then!”

Olivia walked over and looked over her son, nodding. “We know that, but your father’s just saying that its still sad.”

Henry nodded at Olivia. “Exactly! And besides, don’t be sad because it’s over, be happy because it happened!”

Calrin smiled and nodded, hugging onto his father. “Thanks dad!”

The arctic fox chuckled and set his son down, patting his head. “You’re welcome, Calrin. Although now it’s bedtime for you and Justin, so get on up to your room. Me an your mom will be up shortly.”

“Right! Let’s go, Justin!” Calrin said, running up to his room.

Justin grinned and followed him upstairs. The instant they got into the room, Justin turned to Calrin.

“You owe me, Cally.”

Calrin tilted his head and looked genuinely confused. “I do? Why?”

Justin jeered a thumb towards the hallway. “For making me sit through that dumb Doctor show.

The red fox stopped when he heard steps in the hallway. He pulled Calrin into bed and flung the covers over their bodies. Olivia and Henry walked into the room and approached the bed, smiling.

“Did you have a good Christmas, Calrin?” Olivia asked her son.

“How about you, Justin?” Henry asked his son’s friend.
