On this night, kids all over the country went out onto the streets of their neighborhoods, getting candy from most of their neighbors, the ones that weren’t dentists, anyway. And in this little town called New Rochelle, the kids are just as eager as ever. The sun was already setting as groups of kids started to file out. However, one young cub was still waiting to head out.\n\n“Daaaaaaaaaaaaad!” The yellow fox cub called out, “Hurry up! Other kids are out already!”\n\nCalrin was waiting impatiently at the door, his black-shoed foot tapped against the floor eagerly. Olivia, Calrin’s equally golden-furred mother, put a gentle paw on her son’s shoulder and smiled down at him.\n\n“Calrin, sweetie, please be patient. You’ll still get a lot of candy.” She reassured him. Calrin wasn’t buying it though.\n\n“I don’t wanna be patient on Halloween!” He retorted, flailing. Olivia giggled a bit at her son’s rebuttal.\n\n“I know, Calrin, but-”\n\n“I’m coming now!” A voice interrupted her. Both yellow foxes looked towards the stairs as Henry, Calrin’s arctic fox father, came running down the stairs, donning tan-colored cricket gear with red trimmings, a panama hat with a red band on his head, and, of all things, a celery lapel. Calrin eagerly ran up to and hugged his dad.\n\n“Yay you’re finally done!” The cub yelled out. \n\nHenry Bolfrey smiled and patted his son’s head. “Sorry I took so long, son. The Time Lords decided to hide my coat from me.”\n\nCalrin giggled and pulled out a small, wand-looking device from his purple dress coat. “I’ll take care of them, dad!”\n\nOlivia smiled and put a paw on the door. “So, are my Doctors ready to go out there?”\n\nHenry tipped his hat and bowed. “Lead the way, Professor Song.”\n\nOlivia laughed and opened the door of the house… only to be greeted by a group of trick-or-treaters! But this group was instantly recognizable, despite the costumes.\n\n“TRICK-OR-TREAT!” The group said.\n\nHenry smiled and grabbed a bowl full of bite-sized chocolate and presented it to the group.\n“Hello children!” Henry greeted, throwing his subdued British accent into full swing, “Halloween, huh? Lovely holiday, lot of history… but you don’t wanna hear about that, no you want this stuff! Take two for each of you!”\n\nThe kids laughed at Henry’s accent, one of them –dressed as the red Megaforce Power Ranger- lifted his mask and grinned, his red fur almost getting lost in the costume.\n\n“You’re so silly, Mr. Bolfrey!” Justin said, his paws reaching in to grab some candy.\n\nHenry rubbed the back of his head, chuckling slightly. “Well, if you find being The Doctor silly…”\n\nGreg Mathis laughed shrugged. “Henry, most of us don’t even know what Doctor Who is.”\n\nHenry rolled his eyes and adjusted his coat. “Well, shall we be off then?”\n\nCalrin nodded quickly and dived into the group. Justin giggled and ruffled Calrin’s hair.\n\n“Seems like a yes.” A taller adult said. His voice was that of Patrick Daniels, but his face was hidden behind the mask of his costume: The Gosei Grand Megazord.\n\nHenry and Olivia shared a smile as they joined the group and left for some candy! The Bolfreys weren’t leaving kids hanging though, as Olivia had the bowl set up at the front of their door, with a note telling kids to only take two… but who would listen to that? The family didn’t seem to mind though, as they went on their way with the group, on ward to the next house.\n\n“And who are you supposed to be, dressed like that, Cally?” Justin asked Calrin as they walked. The yellow fox grinned and pulled out his metal wand-ish thing again.\n\n“I’m the Eleventh Doctor!” Carlin excitedly replied, “And this is my Sonic Screwdriver!”\n\nThe three raccoon siblings with Calrin and Justin rolled their eyes and laughed. All three of them were dressed in martial arts outfits: The tallest in blue, the other in yellow, and the youngest in red.\n\n“Couldn’t just do a normal costume, huh Calrin?” the oldest asked.\n\nCalrin blushed a little, shaking his head. “I wanted to be different, Richie!”\n\nKyle, the middle child raccoon, giggled and piped in. “Must be hot though!”\n\nCalrin popped the collar a little, pulling on his bowtie. “Little bit…” Calrin said, “But I’ll be fine!”\n\nJustin’s younger brother, Alex, who was dressed as the blue Megaforce ranger, giggled and lifted his mask. “If you say so!”\n\nThe conversation didn’t last much longer, as the kids stated going up to houses, their bags and buckets getting filled with candy. Along their way, they ran into some familiar faces from around the neighborhood and school. After exchanging candy tips, which houses to avoid, and general chatter, the groups split up again. The adults, all the while, smiled as their kids enjoyed the night.\n\n“Kids seem to be getting a lot of candy this year, huh, Five?” Greg asked Henry.\n\nThe arctic fox tipped his hat and looked towards his kids. “Well it’s Halloween! I’d complain more if they weren’t getting their share.”\n\nPatrick laughed and shrugged. “I just hope they don’t eat too much tonight, or they’ll never get to sleep for school tomorrow.”\n\nHenry shook his head a bit. “I trust Calrin to be responsible enough not to inhale his share.”\n\nGreg laid a paw on the white furred fox’s shoulder and smirked. “Kids are kids, Henry, no matter how they’re raised.”\n\nThis got Henry thinking, and he called out to his son.\n\n“Oi, Eleven.”\n\nCalrin blinked and turned around, “What’s the problem, Five?” Calrin asked.\n\n“Don’t be expecting to eat all of that tonight. Last thing we need is a hyper Time Lord.”\n\nCalrin huffed and looked down at his bag of candy longingly before turning back to his father. “Understood, da- I mean, Five.”\n\nHenry smirked and turned to Greg and Patrick. “Problem solved.”\n\nOlivia laughed and playfully bopped Henry’s shoulder. “You’re such a card, sweetie.” She then turned to Patrick and Greg. “So where’s the wives, boys? Home giving out candy?”\n\nPatrick nodded. “Melanie isn’t feeling too well, so she volunteered to stay home for candy duty.”\n\nGreg shrugged. “Caitlyn had to work late, so she couldn’t be here…. It’s a shame, but that’s what happens when you work a state job.”\n\nOlivia sighed and hung her head. “Tell me about it. I was lucky to get tonight off.”\n\nHenry nodded a bit. “Yeah… but this night isn’t about us…” Henry says as he makes a sweeping motion with his paw, towards their cubs, “It’s about them.”\n\nAnd about them it was. As the night went on, the kids accumulated more and more candy, with their bags and buckets getting filled to the brim with delicious treats! The kids smiled and laughed, showing their hauls with each other. Greg smiled and checked his watch.\n\n“Huh… it’s 8 o clock….” The raccoon said. “We can head home now if you guys want.”\n\nRichie and his brothers pouted. “Aww… come on dad, let’s stay out longer! Please?” Richie pleaded.\n\n“I wanna stay out longer too!” Justin chimed in.\n\n“Me too!” Calrin blurted out.\n\nGreg looked over the group and chuckled nervously… and then an idea came to him. He turned to Patrick and the Bolfreys, holding his arms out.\n\n“Hey, if you guys want… I can keep Calrin and Justin out a little longer with my kids… I’ll bring them home as soon as we’re done, I promise.”\n\nPatrick shrugged a little. “Fine with me.”\n\nAlex pouted and flailed. “What about me?!”\n\nPatrick grinned and picked Alex up. “Sorry kiddo, but you’re coming home. Lord knows your mother would flip if both of her kids were out later.”\n\nAlex frumped and kept pouting as Henry and Olivia turned to each other, and then to Greg, nodding.\n\n“Just don’t… keep him out too late,” Olivia said, “They still have school tomorrow.”\n\nGreg chuckled a bit and nodded. “Of course! Of course! They’ll be home by 10, I promise!”\n\nThe other adults nodded and turned to their kids.\n\n“You be safe, ok little bud?” Patrick told Justin.\n\n“Can do, dad!” Justin replied, grinning and giving a Thumb’s up.\n\n“Listen to everything Mr. Mathis says, alright, Calrin?” Henry requested of his son. The yellow fox nodded and smiled.\n\n“I’ll be good, dad!” was Calrin’s reply.\n\nThe adults smiled and headed off, leaving Greg alone with the five cubs. Greg watched them head off, waiting until they were out of earshot to speak.\n\n“I can’t believe that actually worked.” He said with a chuckle.\n\nCalrin shifted a little and tugged at Greg’s leg. “Mr. Mathis… what’re you planning?”\n\nGreg pulled out his camera-phone and winked at the fox. “I was thinking maybe a Halloween quicky.”\n\nCalrin’s eyes went wide and he blushed bright.\n\n“Oh… I dunno, Mr. Mathis… it’s… is it ok to do it here?”\n\nRichie giggled and hugged onto Calrin. “You’e silly, Calrin! It’s not gonna be here. We can’t play like that outside!”\n\nJustin tilted his head and looked confused. “Then where?”\n\nGreg thought for a moment, before snapping his fingers.\n\n“There’s an empty house I’ve been trying to sell… I have the key on me if you boys wanna check it out.”\n\nCalrin gulped a little. “You mean… play in an old, empty house on Halloween?”\n\nJustin grinned. “I’m game!”\n\n“So am I!” Richie called out.\n\nGreg smirked and pulled the key out of his pocket. Due to him not really having a costume this year, it was easy for him to keep important stuff on him.\n\n“Let’s go then!” The raccoon said, leading the boys off.\n\nThey walked along the streets and smirked and giggled. The kids started talking about things like Pokemon and Adventure Time along the way. Occasionally though, Greg would get them together for pictures of them with their candy. After a couple of minutes of walking, they came to their destination: a light tan, Dutch-colonial, two-story house. Greg opened the door and ushered the cubs inside. The walls were wood-lined with dark green wallpaper, and the house had a lot of furniture in it to begin with.\n\n“If no one lives here, how come there’s stuff in it?” Justin asked curiously.\n\nGreg smiled and patted Justin’s head. “Empty rooms don’t look like they have a lot of space. So if we rent furniture to put in the house, we can really show off the space of the rooms.”\n\nCalrin nodded a bit at Greg’s statement. “Makes sense!” the yellow fox replied.\n\nGreg chuckled and spun his phone a little. “So how did you want to do this?” He asked. Before any of the Mathis siblings could reply, Justin pulled Calrin close.\n\n“Actually… if you don’t mind, Mr. Mathis…” Justin said, “I wanna do something with just me and Cally. It’s been a while.”\n\nGreg blinked and chuckles a bit, setting up the camera on his phone. “Sure thing Jus-”\n\n“Without it being recorded this time…”\n\nGreg blinked and nodded a bit. “…Right, I think I get it. A little Halloween treat for close friends.” Greg motioned for his kids to follow him downstairs, and they did, scampering into the basement.\n\nJustin smirked and took off his mask, tossing it onto the nearby table as he pushed Calrin onto the couch. The red fox wriggled a bit and started to undo Calrin’s pants, pulling them down and around his ankles, the yellow fox’s underwear soon following.\n\n“Don’t have the time to get fully nakey, Cally… so this’ll have to do.” Justin said playfully. The red fox leaned down and started to lick at his friend’s sheath. Calrin wriggled a bit and lay back, his purple waistcoat slumping off his shoulders.\n\n“I… mmmfff… don’t mind Justin…” Calrin said, huffing a little as his friend started to lap at his sheath. The yellow fox arched his body up slightly as he felt his tip start to poke out of its fuzzy confides. Justin grinned and suckled on it a little, looking up at his friend. On this night, kids all over the country went out onto the streets of their neighborhoods, getting candy from most of their neighbors, the ones that weren’t dentists, anyway. “I’m coming now!” A voice interrupted her. Both yellow foxes looked towards the stairs as Henry, Calrin’s arctic fox father, came running down the stairs, donning tan-colored cricket gear with red trimmings, a panama hat with a red band on his head, and, of all things, a celery lapel. Calrin eagerly ran up to and hugged his dad.

“Yay you’re finally done!” The cub yelled out.

Henry Bolfrey smiled and patted his son’s head. “Sorry I took so long, son. The Time Lords decided to hide my coat from me.”

Calrin giggled and pulled out a small, wand-looking device from his purple dress coat. “I’ll take care of them, dad!”

Olivia smiled and put a paw on the door. “So, are my Doctors ready to go out there?”

Henry tipped his hat and bowed. “Lead the way, Professor Song.”

Olivia laughed and opened the door of the house… only to be greeted by a group of trick-or-treaters! But this group was instantly recognizable, despite the costumes.

“TRICK-OR-TREAT!” The group said.

Henry smiled and grabbed a bowl full of bite-sized chocolate and presented it to the group.
“Hello children!” Henry greeted, throwing his subdued British accent into full swing, “Halloween, huh? Lovely holiday, lot of history… but you don’t wanna hear about that, no you want this stuff! Take two for each of you!”

The kids laughed at Henry’s accent, one of them –dressed as the red Megaforce Power Ranger- lifted his mask and grinned, his red fur almost getting lost in the costume.

“You’re so silly, Mr. Bolfrey!” Justin said, his paws reaching in to grab some candy.

Henry rubbed the back of his head, chuckling slightly. “Well, if you find being The Doctor silly…”

Greg Mathis laughed shrugged. “Henry, most of us don’t even know what Doctor Who is.”

Henry rolled his eyes and adjusted his coat. “Well, shall we be off then?”

Calrin nodded quickly and dived into the group. Justin giggled and ruffled Calrin’s hair.

“Seems like a yes.” A taller adult said. His voice was that of Patrick Daniels, but his face was hidden behind the mask of his costume: The Gosei Grand Megazord.

Henry and Olivia shared a smile as they joined the group and left for some candy! The Bolfreys weren’t leaving kids hanging though, as Olivia had the bowl set up at the front of their door, with a note telling kids to only take two… but who would listen to that? The family didn’t seem to mind though, as they went on their way with the group, on ward to the next house.

“And who are you supposed to be, dressed like that, Cally?” Justin asked Calrin as they walked. The yellow fox grinned and pulled out his metal wand-ish thing again.

“I’m the Eleventh Doctor!” Carlin excitedly replied, “And this is my Sonic Screwdriver!”

The three raccoon siblings with Calrin and Justin rolled their eyes and laughed. All three of them were dressed in martial arts outfits: The tallest in blue, the other in yellow, and the youngest in red.

“Couldn’t just do a normal costume, huh Calrin?” the oldest asked.

Calrin blushed a little, shaking his head. “I wanted to be different, Richie!”

Kyle, the middle child raccoon, giggled and piped in. “Must be hot though!”

Calrin popped the collar a little, pulling on his bowtie. “Little bit…” Calrin said, “But I’ll be fine!”

Justin’s younger brother, Alex, who was dressed as the blue Megaforce ranger, giggled and lifted his mask. “If you say so!”

The conversation didn’t last much longer, as the kids stated going up to houses, their bags and buckets getting filled with candy. Along their way, they ran into some familiar faces from around the neighborhood and school. After exchanging candy tips, which houses to avoid, and general chatter, the groups split up again. The adults, all the while, smiled as their kids enjoyed the night.

“Kids seem to be getting a lot of candy this year, huh, Five?” Greg asked Henry.

The arctic fox tipped his hat and looked towards his kids. “Well it’s Halloween! I’d complain more if they weren’t getting their share.”

Patrick laughed and shrugged. “I just hope they don’t eat too much tonight, or they’ll never get to sleep for school tomorrow.”

Henry shook his head a bit. “I trust Calrin to be responsible enough not to inhale his share.”

Greg laid a paw on the white furred fox’s shoulder and smirked. “Kids are kids, Henry, no matter how they’re raised.”

This got Henry thinking, and he called out to his son.

“Oi, Eleven.”

Calrin blinked and turned around, “What’s the problem, Five?” Calrin asked.

“Don’t be expecting to eat all of that tonight. Last thing we need is a hyper Time Lord.”

Calrin huffed and looked down at his bag of candy longingly before turning back to his father. “Understood, da- I mean, Five.”

Henry smirked and turned to Greg and Patrick. “Problem solved.”

Olivia laughed and playfully bopped Henry’s shoulder. “You’re such a card, sweetie.” She then turned to Patrick and Greg. “So where’s the wives, boys? Home giving out candy?”

Patrick nodded. “Melanie isn’t feeling too well, so she volunteered to stay home for candy duty.”

Greg shrugged. “Caitlyn had to work late, so she couldn’t be here…. It’s a shame, but that’s what happens when you work a state job.”

Olivia sighed and hung her head. “Tell me about it. I was lucky to get tonight off.”

Henry nodded a bit. “Yeah… but this night isn’t about us…” Henry says as he makes a sweeping motion with his paw, towards their cubs, “It’s about them.”

And about them it was. As the night went on, the kids accumulated more and more candy, with their bags and buckets getting filled to the brim with delicious treats! The kids smiled and laughed, showing their hauls with each other. Greg smiled and checked his watch.

Richie and his brothers pouted. “Aww… come on dad, let’s stay out longer! Please?” Richie pleaded.

Greg looked over the group and chuckled nervously… and then an idea came to him. He turned to Patrick and the Bolfreys, holding his arms out.

“Hey, if you guys want… I can keep Calrin and Justin out a little longer with my kids… I’ll bring them home as soon as we’re done, I promise.”

Patrick shrugged a little. “Fine with me.”

Alex pouted and flailed. “What about me?!”

Patrick grinned and picked Alex up. “Sorry kiddo, but you’re coming home. Lord knows your mother would flip if both of her kids were out later.”

Alex frumped and kept pouting as Henry and Olivia turned to each other, and then to Greg, nodding.

“Just don’t… keep him out too late,” Olivia said, “They still have school tomorrow.”

Greg chuckled a bit and nodded. “Of course! Of course! They’ll be home by 10, I promise!”

The other adults nodded and turned to their kids.

“You be safe, ok little bud?” Patrick told Justin.

“Can do, dad!” Justin replied, grinning and giving a Thumb’s up.

“Listen to everything Mr. Mathis says, alright, Calrin?” Henry requested of his son. The yellow fox nodded and smiled.

The adults smiled and headed off, leaving Greg alone with the five cubs. Greg watched them head off, waiting until they were out of earshot to speak.

Greg pulled out his camera-phone and winked at the fox. “I was thinking maybe a Halloween quicky.”

Greg smirked and pulled the key out of his pocket. Due to him not really having a costume this year, it was easy for him to keep important stuff on him.

They walked along the streets and smirked and giggled. The kids started talking about things like Pokemon and Adventure Time along the way. Occasionally though, Greg would get them together for pictures of them with their candy. After a couple of minutes of walking, they came to their destination: a light tan, Dutch-colonial, two-story house. Greg opened the door and ushered the cubs inside. The walls were wood-lined with dark green wallpaper, and the house had a lot of furniture in it to begin with.

“If no one lives here, how come there’s stuff in it?” Justin asked curiously.

Greg smiled and patted Justin’s head. “Empty rooms don’t look like they have a lot of space. So if we rent furniture to put in the house, we can really show off the space of the rooms.”

Calrin nodded a bit at Greg’s statement. “Makes sense!” the yellow fox replied.

Greg chuckled and spun his phone a little. “So how did you want to do this?” He asked. Before any of the Mathis siblings could reply, Justin pulled Calrin close.

“Actually… if you don’t mind, Mr. Mathis…” Justin said, “I wanna do something with just me and Cally. It’s been a while.”

Greg blinked and chuckles a bit, setting up the camera on his phone. “Sure thing Jus-”

“Without it being recorded this time…”

Greg blinked and nodded a bit. “…Right, I think I get it. A little Halloween treat for close friends.” Greg motioned for his kids to follow him downstairs, and they did, scampering into the basement.
